When we checked in we weren’t told there was a serious water issue: no working shower (hot or cold) for an hour. Had cycled 110km so def needed a shower before dinner!!!

The location was brilliant and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast. Great vibe in the pub in the evening.

The only downside and this is not about the property but the location as a whole was the parking difficulties.

Perfect location, room ideal for the three of us, clean and on the ground floor. What made our stay so perfect was all the staff from the cleaners, to the bar staff, to the waiters to the manager, all so welcoming and friendly we will definitely be back couldn’t recommend it highly enough .

When we ate there on the Sunday evening our mains were brought out while we were still eating our starters but apart from that we could not fault a thing.

Good location for High Street, walk along the front, and visit to Walmer Castle. Square in front lively.

Spiral stairs were bit tricky but that is the nature of the building.

Clean and comfortable accommodation, with a lovely sea view and great breakfast. Especially loved the rock music playing in the pub over breakfast and the live music outside. The room had everything we needed plus a brand new Nespresso machine, which was a nice addition.

Our room was on the top floor and it was quite warm, so we were very glad that a fan was supplied. The ceiling in our room was quite low, so my 6'3" husband couldn't stand up straight and had to duck the whole time. It was still a nice stay though, would definitely stay here again.

Stairs are a challenge. Steep and narrow. But a lovely pub, fantastic staff. Beautiful veiws. Flowers outside were amazing. Would defently stay again. No parking facilities, carpark nearby, but have to return every 3 hours through the day ( up until 6pm) to get more parking time £3.80 for 3 hours.

No lift and narrow stairs. Not an issue for me personally but some others may not be fond of that. The shower drain was backing up a little bit but still drained but slowly. I worried if it would flood the bathroom but thankfully it didn’t.

Very tired & dated room. Needs upgrading. Couldn't benefit from the sea view as it was on the ground floor by the outdoor tables so curtains had to be drawn all day.

The location is in a delightful seaside location and next door to a bustling, pretty pub with a very popular beer garden. The staff were charing and helpful and the accommodation was comfortable and clean.

Freundlicher Empfang, unser Fahrräder konnten sicher untergebracht werden, super Lage direkt an der Strandpromenade, gutes Frühstück (Full English oder Eierspeisen nach Wunsch, Porridge, Joghurt, Obst, Cereals), uriger, historischer Pub mit Sitzplätzen im Freien, wir waren sehr gut im Nebengebäude untergebracht, neues Bad, 40 Minuten zu Fuß nach Walmer Castle

Been to Deal numerous times never stayed at Kings head It was perfect rooms nice & spacious, bathrooms large and great shower. Not noisy as you would expect from the location just perfect.

Wunderschönes Zimmer mit Meerblick, Lage top zwischen Strand und Restaurants, hauseigener Pub bietet tolles Frühstück und Abendessen, Personal außergewöhnlich freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden hier gerne wieder einen Zwischenstopp einlegen, wenn wir die Fähre in Dover nehmen :)

Every thing was super the only thing was while watching a movie the connection would be lost and will have to wait for the TV to connect again.

Which was arranged for us. They even put a happy anniversary banner up. With flower petals on the bed. Very thoughtful

Because it was so popular, it was to busy for me , but thats just me. Better than being quiet and no atmosphere.

Just had a lovely one night stay at The King's Head in Deal. We had a fabulous room with a sea view and had a spacious bathroom with a great shower. Can also recommend the breakfast. Thanks to all staff and look forward to a future stay.

Lovely staff. The pub itself was a great pub and enjoyed sitting out front of it.

Unfortunately our room backed over an inner courtyard which was loud with people drinking, smoking and being loud until past 2am. Mattress could do with being changed as had a big dip in it.

Friendly staff were excellent, Beech front location good, slightly small shower, good breakfast.

Just the shower really, but you have to get used to noise outside to early hours, didn't really bother me..

Its position was great for seafront/view and pub! And it was right in the town. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were so good, very friendly!

It was very noisy as the pub garden was in front. But it was a Saturday night.

Lovely location on the sea front, and although there is no parking at the premises we easily found car parking just around the corner.

For us the mattress was a bit too firm. We like to see breakfast included in the price, as you have to factor this in as an add on when considering value.

Breakfast not included if you book on Booking.com because of the % commission they take we were informed. You can have breakfast but at an extra £14 per head. Book direct to include breakfast in your room rate we were advised! We enjoyed our room with sea view but it was 2 floors up a very windy stairs.

Great friendly place to stay. Located right on the beach front with a lovely sea view from our room. The hotel dates back to the 1600's so there is no lift and a circular staircase but that adds to the charm. Good food and a pleasant atmosphere hits you has you arrive. We arrived on Sunday lunchtime and it was packed.

There's no car parking at the hotel. This seems to be a local issue and can cause a lot of confusion with the various rules. The best parking we found was on Sainsbury's car park (10 mins walk away) via the "Your Parking Space" App. This cost £5 per 24 hours and you can adjust the length of stay. Some other car parks charge the same for 3 hours and then you have to move on!

Lovely view from the window, the bedding and towels were clean and comfortable, well fitted bathroom. It was a fine enough place to stay for the night.

Ceiling height in the room was barely 6ft - I think they should make you aware of this on booking as we could only just about stand up straight and I imagine lots of slightly taller guests would spend their whole stay ducking. We were hoping for cosier pub vibes but the room itself felt a bit tired and the staff were decidedly unfriendly apart from the lady who showed us to our room.
