La veranda esterna con una bellissima vista (ovviamente essendo immersi nella natura bisogna mettere in conto la presenza di insetti e animali) Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Colazione molto abbondante.

La stanza era molto umida , complice il clima ma anche le infiltrazioni nelle pareti. Il bagno era molto vecchio ed era impossibile fare la doccia senza allagarlo completamente. Inoltre la struttura si trova appena fuori Ella , comunque raggiungibile in 10 minuti a piedi, ma il tratto finale è sterrato quindi se si hanno valigie pesanti diventa necessario utilizzare un tuk tuk

Upon arrival we were served tea and biscuits on the terrace. Our room was comfortable with a mosquito net around the bed. We were served breakfast every morning at the time requested.

Both the bedroom and bathroom decor seemed a little dated and the rugs on the floor seemed a bit dirty but otherwise everything was good. Sometimes you could hear monkeys walking on the roof during evenings and morning but that’s Sri Lanka I guess!

The view was amazing, and the breakfast was very diverse.

В душе не хватает горячей воды. В целом, для места это распространенная проблема. Горячая вода нагревается в черных баках от солнца и если воды там не хватает, то и мыться придется в холодной воде со слабым напором.

The walk to town is a little longer than some properties but if you don’t mind walking (or can get a tuktuk) then it’s great as it’s nice and quiet

We had two great rooms with terasse access and a beautiful view! The family is very kind and helpful and the breakfast at the terasse was also very good! You can walk 15 Minutes into Ella! We walked everywhere, Ella Rock, Little Adams Pick and the bridge! We used the tuktuk service of the family to visit the tea factory! We 100 % recommend a different view!

Fijn verblijf met balkon en prachtig uitzicht. De locatie is fijn; als je naar Ella centrum wilt kun je de tuktuk pakken of een stukje lopen. De hoteleigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gastvrij, en zorgden elke dag voor een goed ontbijt voor ons.

Breakfast was really good and the owner/ staffs working there were very friendly and attentive. We also requested for laundry to be done and everything was done great. The balcony view is really good and nice to be chilling at and the short cut to walk to Ella point was a great tip too!

The room was quite basic. There was not enough hooks and bottled water wasnt replenished all three days (although I am not sure if that is the standard) but it was still great overall!

Die Unterkunft hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht in einer ruhigen Lage und ist trotzdem fussläufig zum Zentrum von Ella. Die Familie ist sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich und hilft in allen Angelegenheiten. Auch das sehr leckere Frühstück muss ich erwähnen, dass ich jeden Morgen mit der schönen Aussicht geniessen konnte. Vielen Dank, gerne wieder.

We had the new room on the lower floor and it was large with a sofa area too. The family are super friendly and gave us a great breakfast each day.

Sadly, there isn’t really a view from the lower room as it looks on to a roof. However, we ate upstairs with friends and enjoyed their view.

Amazing place to stay in Ella. Wonderful view, you should stay there if you want to be surrounded by palm trees and monkeys! Hosts were always kind and ready to help.

Room was a bit basic. No kettle or small fridge. The tuktuk driver that accomodation arranged for us took us on a trip, but hit a dog while driving :( maybe he could stop and just check the dog if he was ok…

Frühstück war ok, der blick aus unserem fenster und der terasse eine katastrophe. Eine baustelle mit betonwand. ( DIFFERENT VIEW) wir hatten das Zimmer in der ersten etage, die Zimmer in der 3ten etage sind vom ausblick her OK.

Kleines familiengeführtes Guesthouse. Die Familie war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir konnten auch einmal das Zimmer wechseln, wegen besserem Ausblick. War alles kein Problem. Tolles Frühstück.

Das Bad war schon ein wenig abgenutzt. Die Dusche hatte nicht genügend Druck. Aber alles war sauber.

Дорога в этой местности весьма экзотическая, дверь в су не закрывалась, лейка душа забита , напор слабый . цена по моему представлению несколько завышена.

Die wohl bisher schönste Unterkunft! Der Gastgeber und die Familie sind unfassbar herzlich, hier fühlt man sich direkt willkommen. Die Aussicht von der Unterkunft und der Sonnenaufgang ist einfach atemberaubend. Die Zimmer sind sehr ordentlich und sauber. Das Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet, ist abwechslungsreich und lässt wirklich keine Wünsche offen. Wichtig zu wissen: Mit dem Auto kommt man nicht direkt bis zur Unterkunft – am besten gleich ein TukTuk nehmen. Der Besitzer fährt einen mit dem TukTuk zu jedem gewünschten Ort (zu einem fairen Preis) und auch in die Stadt rein. Kann ich uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Der Ausblick ist wirklich super. Sehr nette Gastgeber, die sich insbesondere um den Transfer gekümmert haben. Sie waren immer ansprechbar und der Transfer war überhaupt kein Problem.

Heel warme en gastvrije familie! Je voelt je er meteen thuis, dit adresje is zeker een aanrader! Heel mooi zicht op de bergen en ruime kamer!

Family hosting were amazingly attentive and helpful - giving us tea coffee and biscuits whenever we were around, arranging tuktuks to the main strip of Ella and laundry with no fuss, showing us a shortcut to the walk up to Ella rock, and just generally being lovely (helped with my bad tuktuk driving skill). Traditional breakfast was also delicious, filling, and with elements of variety every day.

Room was basic but very good for the price. Connected to the main town via a bumpy track, which meant it was wonderfully quiet but uncomfortable in a tuktuk.

The staff was very kind and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. We felt truly welcomed. Breakfast was good and the views were amazing. Overall, a very pleasant stay!

Das Personal war wirklich sehr Freundin. Das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr ausreichend und relativ viel. Das Zimmer ist sehr einfach gehalten und ein typisches Sri lankanisches Zuhause, kein Hotel. Manche Bewegungen sind nicht nachvollziehbar, wenn mei eine Art Homestay Bucht sollte man auch damit rechnen. Es ist etwas länger zu gehen, aber wirklich nicht anstrengend!

Apartado del centro de Ella, en un camino de tierra complicado por la noche. Se rompió el ventilador antiguo de la habitación al cambiarlo de posición y nos hicieron pagar la mitad de uno nuevo.

Alojamiento básico pero limpio y con buenas vistas, da mucha tranquilidad y la familia que lo regenta está pendiente de ti en todo. Buen desayuno cada día.

La ubicación está alejada del centro de Ella pero eso da tranquilidad a la hora de relajarse. No tienen aire acondicionado aunque en la zona donde estás con el ventilador nos fue suficiente.

The structure is overall nice, located away from the noise of the city centre, and the breakfast was good.

Unfortunately, the place is still under construction, and this definitely impacts the overall atmosphere and view. What really affected our experience, however, was the staff. Before arriving, we asked several days in advance if it was possible to book a cooking class, and we were kindly assured that it was confirmed. Once there, we discovered that nothing had actually been arranged, and it was too late to book on the day. The most unpleasant incident, though, was the overcharging of the tuk tuk service provided by the property. Not only were the prices far above local rates, but the driver — who is also part of the staff — was rude and aggressive. For example, for a short 7-minute ride, we were asked to pay Rs 1500. On the way back, we found another driver who charged Rs 600 for the same trip. When we pointed out the unfair price, the reaction of the staff driver was extremely rude and unprofessional. On top of this, despite having agreed on a late check-out (just one hour later) the day before, the following morning we started receiving messages and calls from the host complaining about why we were still at the property. I don’t know if this was related to the tuk tuk episode or not, but overall the communication and transparency with the host were very poor. As paying guests, we would have expected to be treated fairly and respectfully, rather than feeling taken advantage of.

The view from the terrace was very nice. Breakfast portions were big and everything was delicious. Bed was comfortable. Very friendly and helpfull staff. No laundry service at the location but they offered to take our stuff to the laundry service in the city (1000 LKR/kg). Very peacefull location.

The apartment is located on the end of a long and twisty path into the jungle which was pitch black in the night (doen’t have to be a bad thing but keep in mind if you have problems with walking on the edge of the jungle in the night. We alway hired a tuktuk to take us up). The pillows had a bad odour so we covered them with some of our clothes (to be fair, we did not mention this to the staff). Room had a bad smell. Only turkish coffee for breakfast.

Las vistas son de las mejores que hemos tenido en todo el viaje. Desayuno tradicional y personal muy servicial, siempre atentos a todo lo que necesitábamos. Es genial si accedes con tuk-tuk 24h.

Está cerca del centro pero el acceso es muy difícil con el coche. No es recomendable hacerlo andando de noche ya que estás en medio de la selva. La mosquitera de la habitación estaba un poco sucia y con agujeros. El café no se disolvía y estaba un poco malo. Las almohadas eran muy altas y duras, todavía tengo dolor de cuello.

Het uitzicht tijdens ontbijt was fantastisch net als het ontbijt! Super aardige familie, hebben maar een paar kamers..

De accommodatie ligt 15 minuten lopen van het centrum waar alle restaurantjes en shops zijn. We liepen naar beneden en pakten een tuk tuk naar boven (3 minuten)

La gentillesse de la famille, la possibilité de prendre un touk-touk payé par les propriétaires pour emmener nos bagages de la route principale jusqu’au logement légèrement excentré. La vue et le calme du lieu . Très bon petits déjeuner.

Quelques aspects pourraient être amélioré, notamment en matière d’équipement, pas de frigo, pas de théière, pas de bouteille d’eau. Une légère odeur d’humidité persistante, une salle de bain à rafraîchir. Attention aux moustiques le soir sur la terrasse

Super Home Stay mit wirklich netten und zuvorkommenden Gastgebern. Die Lage, sowie das Frühstück haben besonders überzeugt. Absolut weiterzuempfehlen !

De gastvrijheid van het personeel is zeer goed. De eigenaar wilde met alles helpen en dat is erg prettig.

Kamers waren beetje aan kleine kant.

Sehr saubere , ruhige Unterkunft ( etwas abseits vom Zentrum) mit vier Zimmern und toller Aussicht. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich herzlich und hilfsbereit. Für unsere Tochter wurden extra glutenfreie Frühstücksoptionen organisiert. Es gibt ein hauseigenes TukTuk, mit dem man sich zu sehr fairem Preis in den Ort fahren lassen kann.

Keine wirkliche Kritik, eher ein Hinweis- die Lage ist schon etwas abseits. Den Fußweg haben wir tagsüber mal gemacht ( ca. 15 min an der Straße - nicht zu empfehlen, sehr viel Verkehr), aber abends ist das keine Option, v.a. mit Kindern, wir sind immer TukTuk gefahren. Das geht natürlich problemlos.

Zuvorkommende freundliche Gastgeber.

Lage ist strategisch ungünstig, da man ein Transportmittel braucht.

The views from the rooms were amazing. The hotel was also close enough to the town to walk in, but far enough away that we weren't bothered by the noise there. Our hosts were friendly & knowledgeable & the breakfasts were lovely. WiFi is good.

The track to get here was not easy to navigate for our driver, but our hosts were kind enough to take our cases to the car in their tuk tuk. Stair access to the rooms was not easy if your mobility is reduced so please be aware of this. No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. No room service available when we stayed but there are a lot of restaurants within a 10 min walk.

Hele vriendelijke mensen, mooie kamer en heerlijk ontbijt. Accomodatie ligt buiten de drukte van Ella zelf. Vanaf de weg is het nog een klim van 500 meter naar de accommodatie. Kan met een tuk tuk maar is ook prima lopend te doen. Het is overigens een prachtige omgeving met een prachtig uitzicht op Ella Rock en little Adam's peak.

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Organised all our tuk tuks and tours for us which was very convenient. Quick to answer any questions we had and was always very helpful. Comfortable bed with duvet. Couldn’t recommend this stay more and do tours through them.

Nalaka and his family were delightful. We arrived in rain by train and later than planned and upon arrival we received tea and biscuits which was a lovely touch. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the the mountain views are lovely. The terrace we had was shared with two other rooms but large enough for everyone to have space. Its a short walk into town along the track then onto a main road - there are tuk tuks available at this junction which we found useful. We also had a tuk tuk trip up the mountain side to the monastery with Nalaka's father which was incredible (we wished we'd been able however to stay longer so our recommendation would be stay for sunset and join the mountain meditation that is offered by the Monks). Breakfast was good and flexible re timing required and they arranged a laundry service which was so helpful.

A small fridge and kettle for hot drinks would be really useful as you need to stock up on provisions due to the location away from the main town.

Very good price/quality ratio. View is nice, owner will do anything for you, book taxi, laundry and so on.

Breakfast could be better, very basic. Bathroom could use renovation but for Sri Lanka is okay. Problem sometimes with hot water but this is as well everywhere in Sri Lanka. Payment avalaible only with cash.

Der Ausblick ist so traumhaft schön wie auf den Bildern und das Personal sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben morgens sogar ein extra frühes Frühstück zubereitet bekommen auf Wunsch. Die Zugangsstraße ist ein wenig holperig, aber kein Problem für Tucktucks, die sehr günstig zum Zentrum sind und auch über die Rezeption geleistet werden können. Auch zu Fuß ist das Hotel gut erreichbar. Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel :)

Krásný výhled z terasy.

Jelikož jsme přijeli večer a měli jsme hlad, zklamalo nás, že nebylo možné dostat večeři.. Snídaně byla proti jiným také docela chudá.

Bad location, too far to the city.

This is a very basic of accomodation, just a room with a bed, bathroom, and balcony. No AC, no kettle, no cups.. But the real gem of this place is the family that runs it. Nakata and his family are one of the nicest people we met during our trip. The view towards Small Adams peak is also breathtaking, especially in the mornings.
