We liked the location and the balconies. The personnel was very kind and genuine.

We didn’t like the mold in the rooms and bad smell inside the rooms because of it. It has been hard to communicate with the personnel due to the language but they tried their best. We had some issues in the rooms but eventually we were able to solve them

Cet hôtel a un très bon potentiel mais il faut apporter des améliorations, Nous avions une chambre immense qui s’apparente davantage à un appartement. La vue était incroyable!!

La partie salon du logement, sous un toit en tôle ondulée, est un vrai four sans climatisation et ne donne pas envoyé d’y rester. Les draps, blancs à l’origine, ont certainement été mélangés à un autre textile bleu qui a déteint dessus. Rien de grave en soi mais ça ne fait pas très soigné. Le gros problème est le bruit. Notre chambre n’avait pas une vraie porte mais une porte coulissante en une sorte d’aluminium. Elle est très fine et peu isolante du bruit. Or le petit déjeuner de toutes les chambres de l’étage était servi sur des tables placées devant notre porte. Nous avons donc, chaque matin, été réveillés très tôt par les autres occupants qui ne tentaient même pas d’être discrets. L’hôtel doit trouver une autre organisation pour le confort de tous!

Warto dokładnie sprawdzić które pokoje wybieracie,najlepsze te na wyższych pietrach i z balkonem. Obsługa przyjazna, śniadania gotowe na umówioną godzinę.

Proprietari gentili e disponibili per ogni richiesta. Terrazza e Vista incredibile. Bella camera spaziosa. Colazione abbondante e gustosa. Ci siamo trovati davvero tanto bene. Posizione non centralissima, ma basta prendere un tuc tuc e in pochi minuti si è in centro ad Ella. La vista ripaga la posizione.

Amazing views over Ella. Just a short walk to a lovely coffee shop and other restaurants. Staff were super helpful - offering laundry service (paid for), arranging tuk tuks. We also really enjoyed the breakfasts here.

Originally there was no kettle provided in the room. We asked and they did provide which was great. Rooms not always stocked with water which we found unusual.

The hotel was wonderful. The spacious rooms gave us plenty of breathing room, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed.

While overall cleanliness seemed fine, pest control needs attention. A lizard made its way from the bathroom, and later at night, a cockroach emerged from an unsealed hole in the bathroom.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, fuhr uns auf in der Nacht zum WM Finale nach Ella hin und zurück.

The hotel is family run and the family was really cooperative and was genuinely looking after us and doing something to solve our concerns. The owner was not there but was accessible via WhatsApp and responded really quickly to everything we reached out about. The cook was exceptional and served one of the best breakfasts we had on the trip so props to her. They helped us with heating up food, gave me a little box when I wanted to pack breakfast for my little one who was being fussy. So the people were really nice to stay with.

The location was very steep and far from main strip of Ella which made it really hard to get to the places and then come back. We could not just go have fun, come back and then go back again. The travel up the mountain was exhausting for cars and expensive for us. The view was definitely not worth it. The pictures in booking.com make you feel like it would be unreal and I was honestly disappointed by the real view when I reached and wished I had just done the normal room booking. There is no A/C and you will get slow fans. Thankfully weather was fine so we did ok but it was definitely a surprise and something I should have paid attention to when booking.

Der Ausblick vom Balkon ist einfach wunderschön. Dazu ist die Familie, die das Hotel führt, sehr freundlich und hat auch ein eigenes Tuk Tuk, mit dem man für einen fairen Preis in den Ort gebracht werden kann. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und großzügig, man sollte aber kein europäisches Frühstück erwarten. Leider wurde das Frühstück entgegen der Bilder nicht auf dem Balkon serviert.

Wir hatten die unteren Budgetzimmer, die zwar groß genug waren, aber keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeiten für Wäsche hatten. Zudem hat es in den Zimmern leider unangenehm gerochen und die Beleuchtung im Bad könnte verbessert werden.

Upeat maisemat. Huone oli suuri, siisti ja viihtyisä. Ilmastointi oli hyvä asia. Sängyt ja tyynyt olivat mukavia. Aamupala oli kallis mutta todella hyvä. Suihkusta tuli lämmintä vettä. Hotellin omalla tuktukilla sai edullisesti kyydin kaupunkiin ja muuallekin. Kävelymatkan päässä on myös useita ravintoloita ja ruokakauppoja. Wifi toimi täydellisesti.

Kaksi hyvää paitaani menivät rikki pesulapalvelussa. Niistä sojottaa nyt langanpätkiä. Sähköt olivat poikki yhden kerran illasta aamuun asti ja seuraavana päivänä taas.Sähköt palautettiin kun sanoin asiasta.

The view from our bedroom balcony where breakfast was served every morning was absolutely incredible! This is a lovely family run hotel. They were really welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was great and varied everyday.

Even though it’s a little bit of a walk uphill from the town it’s far enough away from the traffic to make it nice and peaceful.

This was the best stay I had in Srilanka..the hosts are such good and warm people..and the room! Oh My God....it had the best view and so spacious and beautiful. But the sweetest thing were the hosts who always have a smiling face and I had a small fall which the uncle the noticed and without even asking he boug6me an ointment for the pain. This is the best place to stay if you want a homely experience along with facilities in Ella.

Great spot, out of the hustle and bustle of Ella but only 5 minutes by tuk tuk and within walking distance of good cafes and restaurants. We had beautiful views from our balcony. The breakfast was great.

The mattress on our bed needs replacing, there was a big dip in front of the pillows where our upper bodies lay, it wasn’t comfortable.

Le petit déjeuner est servi à la porte de chaque chambre dans un espace comun ; c'est super comme idée sauf quand des voyageurs indélicats se levent tôt et empêchent les autres de dormir !

Boede i familieværelse i 4 dage med skøn udsigt over området 😀 Fint stort badeværelse og generelt pæn stand (fin vandtryk og varmt vand) Værelset har ikke aircondition, hvilket heller ikke var nødvendigt. Wifi virkede fint. Vi gjorde brug af landry service og fik tøjet tilbage samme dag 👍 God stor morgenmad, som varierede fra dag til dag. Selve byen ligger i fin gåafstand , ned af bakke. Turen retur (op ad bakke) kan gøres billigt i tuktuk. Værten var ekstremt sød og hjælpsom, og vi vil klart anbefale stedet.

Have never stayed anywhere before which such amazing views from room, just incredible. Highly recommend staying here. Overall great location and value.

A little of town which was perfect, the view from the lounge and the balcony was stunning! Breakfast was lovely and the staff very helpful.

There is a 4% charge to pay on card which was not flagged until the night before we had to leave so we didn’t have time to get cash out. No biggie but just one to bear in mind.

There was little mismatch with the pictures and the rooms. No ventilation or windows in the toilet.

This hotel is an incredible value for money. The staff were so friendly and kind, and we immediately felt relaxed around them. They went above and beyond to be helpful, provided a lovely breakfast, and the view was breathtaking. I loved my time here and would happily stay again. A perfect hotel to take in the beauty of Ella.

Todo fue espectacular, las vistas, habitación amplia, baño grande, la amabilidad del personal, el desayuno mirando a la montaña. La nevera nos mantenía el agua fresca y la ketel, por si nos apetecia tomar algo caliente. Tiene agua caliente en la ducha. Está lejos del pueblo pero nosotros nos movilizamos en tuktuk alquilado, no teníamos problema.

Lo único, no se puede pagar con tarjeta.

La familia que lo atiende era muy servicial y el desayuno era muy bueno. El lugar tenía una linda vista hacia el pueblo ubicado en el valle

Era muy básico. Lo cogimos por la vista pero la habitación triple estaba en la planta baja sin vistas. Y como está región es fría la habitación olía mucho a humedad.

Wonderful view, a little out of town so peaceful and quiet. An easy tuk tuk ride in or you can walk into town. The staff are very friendly.

Lovely room with a great view. A short tuk tuk ride to the main village area. The host was very responsive, helpful & was happy to arrange a tour guide, cooking class & tuk tuk rides. Would highly recommend.

Een fantastisch uitzicht op de bergen. Rustig gelegen hotel. Mooie ruime familiekamer. Een frigo op de kamer is ook altijd handig. Ruime badkamer. Kingsize bedden met goede matrassen. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, heel gedienstig. Tuktukservice. Goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im La Montagna. Das Hotel liegt in sehr schöner Lage mit einem traumhaften Blick in die Berge. Besonders praktisch ist der nette Tuk-Tuk-Service direkt vom Hotel, den man auch gut braucht, da das Hotel recht hoch liegt – dennoch sind tolle Restaurants auch bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück war sehr liebevoll und lecker zubereitet, auch wenn es nicht mit Bergblick serviert wird. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut top. In unserem Zimmer war ein Moskitonetz vorhanden, was für zusätzlichen Komfort gesorgt hat. Das Personal war super freundlich, zuvorkommend und immer hilfsbereit – man fühlt sich hier einfach willkommen. Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel für einen Aufenthalt in den Bergen!

The staff were so helpful, SMILY and i believe that was so releaving.. The room was spacious and clean, with a large bathroom.. The beds were comfortable and had mosquito nets. Breakfast was OK.. Near by, there is a cozy restaurant to have dinner.

Stears 😅, but I have to look at the positive part exercise is health. Suggestions for the breakfast which I think it will be suitable for most guests ( beside eggs and fruits, chicken sausage and Cornflaks ) will be a wonderful continental breakfast.

כאשר יש נוף כזה יפה, לא הגיוני שיהיה כבל של טלויזיה (או משהו כזה) שמשתלשל מהגג מול הפרצוף ונכנס לכל צילום. החדר לא מעוצב עם ריהוט מאוד מיושן. היתה תחושה של חוסר ניקיון מספק. אין רשתות בחלונות. במקלחת היו צרעות שנאלצתי לחסל בעצמי. בחדר מצאתי ג'וק. לאחר מכן הם ניקו היטב את החדר. ארוחת הבוקר מוגשת בחלל שליד החדרים שמהווה מעין מעבר ליד חדרים של אורחים אחרים ונותן הרגשה לא נוחה. המיקום של ארוחת הבוקר חשוך ויש בו זבובים באופן שמוציא את התיאבון. לכן היו פעמים שויתרנו על ארוחת הבוקר. עדיף כבר לשים שולחן אוכל זוגי במרפסת החדר מול הנוף ולהגיש שם את ארוחת הבוקר. עשינו זאת ביוזמתנו באחד הימים והיתה חוויה טובה יותר. בנוסף, כאשר מגישים חביתות, עדיף להכין אותם רק כשהאורח כבר יושב לשולחן כי חביתות צריך להגיש חמות.

Location was perfect, view spectacular, hosts so accommodating, breakfast great. The room was amazing, huge bathroom, excellent balcony with views and big table with chairs to enjoy and relax around with friends.

We couldn’t get the fan working but instead left the window open. Fly net meant no mozzies.

“Terrible experience – never again! The rooms had a terrible smell, and so did the towels. Due to their poor organization, I was moved from my first room (which at least had a nice view) to another one because they had already sold my room on Booking even though I was staying in it. The terrace constantly smelled of smoke. The food was nothing special. The only positive thing was the view from the first room, which lasted very briefly.”

The views were incredible especially being able to see the sunrise whilst having breakfast on the balcony. The staff were warm, friendly and very accommodating.

Whilst the views were great, the property was located on a steep hill and steep road so it took a while to get to town around windy roads and it’s a bit steep to walk down the driveway. The rooms were a little old and there was a slight musty smell but it didn’t bother us too much.

The hotel offers good value for money, the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, a bit out of the main town area. The rooms are well equipped, with a mini fridge, hair dryer, hot shower and toiletries. Our room had a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and waterfall. We got a delicious breakfast which just makes this place worth every penny. The owners live on the premises and are very friendly and helpful. Cute dog to play with was an additional bonus :)

We stayed for one night. The bed was uncomfortable and hard. The door lock did not work even when locked with a key, the door could still be opened by hand, which was an unpleasant detail.

Perfecte uitvalsbasis om Ella te bezoeken. Schitterend uitzicht vanuit de kamer.Wij hadden als gezin van 5 twee kamers met ontbijt. Alles zag er top verzorgd uit. Met name de prijs/kwaliteit was super. Hotel had eigen TukTuk service waarvan wij veelvuldig gebruik hebben gemaakt. Betreft echt een kleinschalig familie hotel die de westerse eisen kent en in wil vullen.

Unparalleled view from the room. We spent the time in the balcony enjoying the mountains. Because it is further away from town, it was quieter and we were able to sleep well. The staff are extremely polite and very accommodating, with a smile on their face. Cleanliness was outstanding. Good value for money for a homestay.

The room is too small for 3 people or a family. The furniture was old but clean, but would need renewing. It is a fair distance from Ella town, so you will need to walk for a while or catch a tuktuk. Too many geckos and huge insects lol. If you struggle with stairs, there are many.

L’emplacement est un peu éloigné du centre mais nous le savions et étions contents de retrouver le calme le soir Il faut un tuk tuk pour rejoindre les points d’intérêts et le centre ville La maison est assez mal insonorisée donc un tout petit peu bruyant (mais pas gênant non plus)

Hotel buiten de stad met balkons zodat je een prachtig uitzicht hebt. Personeel is erg aardig en de kamers zijn ruim. Ook het ontbijt is uitgebreid.

The view from our balcony was incredible, we would have a varied and tasty breakfast there every morning, with fresh fruit, omelette and fresh juice and coffee and some Sri Lankan dishes too. Truly delicious. The location was great, we drove around 5 mins to get into Ella Town. There was also a laundry service which was prompt and cheap! Great shower with hot water at any time of day, lovely rooms with mosquito nets, we had the best sleep of our stay here- very quiet too. Family who ran the commendation, very friendly.

Хотелось бы чуть больше внимания к деталям. Мыло в ванной было уже использованное, грязный прикроватный коврик, пятна на простыне, пятна на шторе портят впечатление

The scenery was amazing , and the hospitality was good

The location made it difficult to park vehicles, as there was a very steep hill to park .

The view was special and the staff were good. They gave us a packed breakfast for our early morning trip on the train.

The bathrooms needed a lot of tlc and there was a lot of banging from the upstairs rooms which kept us awake.

Iets hoger gelegen berg op buiten Ella. Kamer met zicht op dak en Little Rawana waterfall. Eigenaar is erg vriendelijk. Ze rijden ( vader) je met tuk tuk naar dorp ( berg af) voor 500 ros ) is 1,75 per rit) achteraf betalen. Je kunt met eigenaar appen en echt alles wordt geregeld. Badkamer schoon maar wat onhandig met open douche. Hierdoor wordt badkamer wel nat na douchen. Ontbijt prima, kun je op balkon eten in zin en schuttend uitzicht. Little Adam s peak te lopen, 45 min, alsmede Nine bridge arches voor maken foto s.

Everything is good in La Montagna. Clean spacious room, uninterrupted mounrain view, excellent adequate breakfast, modern well equipped bathroom, hot and cold water everything just perfect. Owner family is very cordial and friendly, very prompt in responding to any need. Only downside is the way to the hotel. While climbing hill from main road there is a garbage dumpyard, the air filled with osirs. But that doesn’t affect the property. Air is very clean. Another downside is the pro doesn’t accept credit card. And this is not mentioned anywhere. We had little difficulty as didn’t have enough cash when check out. This should be mentioned in the advertisement.

I had a very nice stay at La Montagna. The room was spacious, but I think could be decorated/furnished a bit more nicely, it was all a bit bare and didn't feel super homey. The internet also didn't always work. The view however was incredible, and the breakfast on the terrace a highlight. The place is a bit out of Ella, so either it's a 20-30 minute walk (uphill) on the side of the road, or you need a tuktuk (the hotel has its own tuktuk at a reduced price).

Everything was good.the room was big enogh and clean.water was good.fantastic view .the staff was kind .we stay there for 1 night and we were satisfied.i recommend this hotel for everyone who want a good and logical price hotel. If one day i came back to ella i will stay there again.
