We hadden een ruime kamer,, met balkon. Meesr prachtige uitzicht. Rivier/ waterval gevoel alsof je midden in de natuur was.

Waren veel trappetjes, als je slecht ter been bent, wellicht lastig. Er viel niks tegen. Vriendelijke mensen, mooie homestay. Net iets buiten t centtum van Ella, met de tuc tuc ben je zo daar en ook op t treinstation.

A little heaven on earth I would say I request ppl not to look further and just straight away book this place Private waterfall and how the house is build out of love shows on every corner The hosts are friendly,I was leaving late night so I requested for a dinner as I couldn’t do the breakfast and she made sure I get it When in Ella I would say missing this place out is a big blunder V close to the bus stand.Go to Ella town and back in 50-100 rs only!

Aangenaam verblijf met een eigen waterval. Goed ontbijt. We hadden een probleem in onze badkamer maar we kregen meteen een andere mooiere kamer toegewezen.

Je hebt een tuktuk nodig om in het centrum te geraken. Maar de eigenaars helpen je hierbij.

Przemili gospodarze, śniadanie przepyszne. Skorzystaliśmy z wycieczki na wodospady, które są przepiękne i osobiście polecam wziąć tą wycieczkę!

Lokalizacja pozostawia wiele do życzenia. jest troche oddalone od centrum w dolinie co przy wysokich temperaturach utrudnia dostanie się na piechotę do centrum. Gospodarz oferuje za opłata dojazd do centrum(co osobiście uważam za zawyżoną cenę lecz innego wyboru nie ma)lub w inne wybrane miejsca.

Our stay at this homestay was absolutely wonderful! The hosts were very kind, welcoming, and made us feel like part of the family. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and peaceful, and the food was delicious with an authentic Sri Lankan taste. We truly enjoyed the warm hospitality and beautiful surroundings. Specially the waterfall .Highly recommended — definitely a 10/10 experience!

This was one of the best places we stayed during our visit to Sri Lanka, very warm hospitality in an incredible setting - we hope to visit again!

De bedden en het uitzicht.

De service viel tegen, maar dat komt misschien omdat we beter gewend zijn van andere locaties. Bij andere locaties kreeg je een welkomstdrankje en werd er een praatje met je gemaakt. Dat was hier helemaal niet. Aantal dingen in de badkamer die niet goed waren. Wc bril te klein, loszittende kraan en wasbak. WiFi deed het niet goed.

Perfect location just above a running waterfall, complete package when it comes to nature, relaxation, just wanted to stay more but unfortunately Hotel was fully booked. Run by a very nice family and have that homely feeling from check in till chdck out, highly recommended for groups.

Breakfast could be improved a but that was over compensated by the service.

The property is fabulous with the most amazing waterfall in the back garden. The access to the waterfall would not be suitable for anybody with mobility issues but wow what a stunning piece of nature to have on your doorstep. The property is run by a family who cannot do enough to help you.

Chambre magnifique vue sur la rivière. Literie très confortable, très belle salle de bain. Petit déjeuner maison excellent. L'aménagement en bas de la rivière est super, un vrai plus compte tenu de la chaleur. Il n'y a pas de restaurant dans le home stay mais à 200m il y a le Ella river café nous y avons dîné tous les soirs durant notre séjour. Cuisine excellente, pas chère du tout avec la rivière juste en dessous de la terrasse.

Die direkte Lage am Wasserfall. Das ich ein anderes Zimmer bekam, nachdem ich auf den Schimmel aufmerksam gemacht hatte.

Mein Doppelzimmer hatte Stockflecken im Bad, es roch schimmelig.

It was a really beautiful property, almost built into the rock of the waterfall itself. I loved being right next to the waterfall and the surrounding garden/courtyard.

The fact it was a tuk tuk journey from Ella when I had to go for dinner. But that’s the sacrifice you make for the beautiful spot so worth it

Accueil chaleureux, idéalement situé (à 20min du centre à pieds, 5 min en tuktuk) spot cascade en contrebas qui permet de se rafraîchir, cooking class proposée par l’hôte on s’est régalés. Disponibilité des hôtes pour nous conduire aux différentes activités (temple, départ de rando, cascades aux alentours)

There is an odd smell in the bathroom which was not bearable, also the wifi was very slow.Rest everything was amazing, beautiful place to stay on. Worth the price.

Great quiet location just outside busy Ella. Big rooms, comfy bed, excellent food. The cooking class was exceptional and the dishes so tasty! What makes this place special are the owners that run it with so much care and attention! They helped us with every little thing we needed.

Lage war leider sehr abgelegen. Ella town war theoretisch zwar zu Fuß erreichbar aber praktisch nicht da der weg

It was wonderful stay at river splendour, the waterfall is the highlight of the place. The staff was really good and the breakfast was nice.

The wifi is very poor, so had problem connecting for work. There was no hot water in the morning.. probably there was one geyser connected for everyone and by 8/9 you won’t get any hot water.

Amazing location by its own river where you can go swimming. Great breakfast, and I also got to try out the cooking class which I would highly recommend. Everyone was very helpful with planning my activities and transport as well. Overall, couldn't have asked for more and would love to come back some day!

Alles perfekt! Das Highlight ist der Wasserfall, man kann dort auf Liegen entspannen und dem Wasser zuhören oder zum Wasserfall gehen, sich abkühlen und sogar schwimmen! Wer braucht da einen Pool?

Die Lage ist leider etwas ausserhalb bzw unterhalb von Ella aber der Besitzer organisiert einem jederzeit ein Tuktuk, sogar für die Sonnenaufgangswanderung zum Little Adams Peak um 5 Uhr früh ☺️ Also kein wirklicher Minuspunkt - sollte einem nur bewusst sein.

Lovely family and very helpful. Gorgeous Sri Lankan breakfast. Waterfall in the garden amazing and you can climb down and get in or sunbath on the chilling platform. Value for money excellent. And easy to get a tuk tuk in and out of town.

The host and all the staff were super friendly, were very helpful and genuine. We took part in the cooking class which was such a lovely experience. Location was good, 2 min bus into Ella town. The room was comfy and clean and overall such good value for money with breakfast included

The place is located just off the highway and easy to get to but limited parking , it included free breakfast, lovely hosts with very good english. The waterfall and hang out space is stunning. My daughter loved placing in the water closest to the road on the property and the adults enjoyed the hanging nets and beanbags near the big waterfall. They offer a laundry service while we stayed with them, which was nice. The triple room was clean, spacious and offered everything we needed.

The room was very small for a family of four.

When you walk down the steps to the waterfall area, it is nice and quite and beautiful with good views. Since i travelled in March, waterfall did not have so much water so, it did not look that amazing as it shows in pictures, but i can imagine that it looks beautiful in right season.

There was no view from balconies and rooms of our rooms which was not well communicated via pictures . The staff was decent and responsive but not very warm and friendly. the service was low and not at par as i have had at other homestays.

Shan and Champi were excellent hosts and the property was well located for all the main attractions in Ella. Our room was clean and spacious and we really liked being next to the river, there’s a lovely relaxation area by the waterfall. One of the highlights was taking part in the cooking class, we made lots of very tasty curry dishes and ate together, it was a really enjoyable evening. Shan and Champi were really helpful with lifts and organising transport and with advice on what to visit.

Our stay at River Splendour Home Stay was wonderful. The family there are extremely welcoming and warm. As soon as we arrive Shan allowed us time to settle then as we checked in helped us to plan our time in Ella and provided us local tips and timing. We also did the cooking class which was excellent, I’d recommend! She gave us many tips and ways we could do it at home. Our room was right in front of the waterfall, we had tea on our patio in the afternoon. Breakfast was also really good!

The most attractive thing is the excellent waterfall. You can enjoy it as the property of the resort.

Payment can’t be done by Credit Card as they charge more 3% extra which is not suppose to by Booking.com.

Exceptional hosts and a private waterfall! What more can you ask for - perfect.

No pool. However really isn’t required as natural pools at waterfalls. In my opinion a pool would take away the charm of this place. We stayed in really top quality hotels during our visit but for me this was the best

Being moved from a nice room into a scruffy room. We were told we had to move as put in a “ family “ room incorrectly, then moved into a vastly inferior room which incidentally was also a “ family” room! WiFi almost nonexistent. For the standard of the second room, way too expensive.

The hotel has situated close to the river in a beautiful garden. Our kids enjoyed the bathing in the river. The family was very nice, breakfast was great. We enjoyed the stay a lot.

Die Unterkunft war sauber, die Familie nett und die Lage perfekt. Nur ein paar Minuten in die City und zur Nine Arche Bridge.

Ligging fantastisch bij een privé waterval waar je kan relaxen en zwemmen. Ook verzorgt de accomodatie privé uitjes naar attracties en tuk tuk. Aangezien de waterval op steenworp afstand ligt hoor je wel continu de waterval. Dat kan overweldigend zijn, maar wij vonden dit fantastisch. Als je slaapt heb je toch de ramen en deuren dicht ivm arco. Wij kunnen deze accomodatie aanbevelen. Ook hebben ze een lieve Labrador.

Beautiful accommodation next to the waterfall. The room was even more beautiful than in the pictures, a wonderful large balcony. A quick tuk tuk ride up the hill to the center of Ella, which they can also arrange. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved it.

Die Gastgeberin und ihre Familie waren wirklich super freundlich. Und hilfsbereit. Ich bin krank gewesen und habe viel Unterstützung bekommen. Vielen Dank dafür nochmal. Die Lage etwas außerhalb von Ella jedoch gut erreichbar mit dem TukTuk. Wir fanden es super. Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich mit frischen Früchten, Brot, Tee und landestypischen Spezialitäten. Es liegt direkt am Wasserfall einerseits sehr idyllisch und schön, andererseits möchte ich auch erwähnen, dass es dadurch sehr laut war den ganzen Tag über und auch nachts. Das homestay ist wirklich wunderschön. Wer jedoch eine Unterkunft benötigt, wo man viel Ruhe hat und wenig Lärm, dann ist man hier nicht ganz so gut aufgehoben, weil das Wasser des Wasserfalls nicht plätschert, sondern die Berge runter donnert. Ich habe in der zweiten Nacht dann Ohrenstöpsel genutzt, dann ging es besser.
