Pleasant and quiet location, very convenient for Notting Hill Gate. Comfortable room, and the bath was a bonus.

Cooked breakfast buffet doesn't really work- lukewarm and a bit tired. Not a big problem as there was plenty of other choice.

Beliggenheten, bakhagen, hyggelig personal og stillheten. Ligger noen minutter fra Notting Hill gate. Ankommer tidlig, men rommet var klart, og det med utsikt over hagen. Fin størrelse på rom, men lite bad. Ingen aircondition, så det kokte på natten. Det var hetebølge i London. Viften gikk for fullt. Nydelig å sitte i hagen med morgenkaffe. Var bare å forsyne seg hele dagen. Huskatten, fugleliv og ekorn var eneste selskap. Det var ren idyll. Ikke til å tro. Midt i Notting Hill. Frokosten var enkel, og kunne inntas uten trengsel, stress og mas. Kommer gjerne tilbake til Vincent house!

Ingenting! Gir topp score og valuta for pengene. Ja, det er i behov av oppgradering og kunne sikkert også vært litt mer utvalg i frokosten, men det er ikke noe jeg egentlig savnet. For denne prisen forventer du ikke luksus, men får det på en annen måte i form av noe genuint og hjemme-koselig.

This is a unique place. A gem cut in the 1930s and as little changed as the insertion of some modern facilities allows An excellent buffet breakfast was served. There was a lounge/bar with the bar open until late. And a pleasant shady garden. The staff were friendly and helpful and reception was manned 24 hours a day. The card for access to the room worked perfectly. The location is unbeatable: less than 5 minutes walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station and buses and close to Hyde Park and Portobello Road but quiet, with little traffic. If it were not about to close it would be the only place in London I would ever stay at.

Actually nothing, except I shall not be able to stay there again as it is closing. Some people might have missed air conditioning but I loved the windows you could open, wiith a view of gardens, and the room was perfectly cool Only one lift is working and is vintage, with an outer wooden door and an iron lattice door that needs to be slammed firmly shut, and you read the floor numbers off the floor plinths as you go up. Of course I adored it.

Vincent House was absolutely perfect in every way. It was our first visit there and I couldn't fault it at all. It had so much to offer and was in a perfect location. We were very sad to learn that the property is closing at the end of August though as we were hoping to stay there next time we visit London. A little gem of a place that I'm sure will be sadly missed by many.

In the rooms on the western side would very useful to have air conditioning units.

A wonderful gem, a place with a soul. Friendly staff. A big garden with trees and tables for guests to enjoy. Tube station just around the corner, yet on a residential street. This place has been there for decades but will close in the coming weeks so get there while you still can. Thank you Vincent House & staff for providing a safe and peaceful oasis in the middle of London, I will miss it!

Lovely relaxing garden, comfy bed, nice to have a fridge in the room. Clean and well equipped.

The breakfast was nice aside from the eggs being undercooked and the sausages were overcooked but everything else was good.

Das Gefühl zu Hause zu sein! Die Lage ist sehr gut und es gibt viele Feschäfte und Restaurants fußläufig zu erreichen. Sehr nettes Personal. Mag auch den archilitektonischer Stil des Hauses.

The room and the whole hotel were beautiful - spotlessly clean, decorated in a lovely style and fully equipped with everything you might need. Even the iron worked perfectly and had no limescale at all, which is rarely the case. The hotel is located in a beautiful, quiet and clean neighbourhood, very close to the metro, and I felt extremely safe there. Breakfast was delicious and, as a coeliac, I was very well looked after.

To już drugi pobyt w tym hotelu i po raz kolejny w pełni udany. Pokoje były bardzo czyste i zadbane. Na ogromny plus zasługuje przemiły personel, który na każdym kroku dbał o komfort gości. Śniadania są bardzo smaczne i oferują naprawdę ogromny wybór. Ogromnym atutem pozostaje również lokalizacja, która łączy spokój z dala od miejskiego zgiełku z bardzo bliskim dostępem do metra. Zdecydowanie warto się tu zatrzymać.

The location is ideal with a very good access to transportation. Close to Kensington Gardens. Beautiful district. The hotel offers complementary tea and coffee, which can be drunk in a garden.

A bit small room, but fine

Vincent House was a wonderful surprise. The location is excellent in easy walking distance to Notting Hill and Portobello Road and the associated markets, and Kensington Gardens/ Hyde Park and an easy suitcase roll from Notting Hill Gate tube line (circle and district). My room was surprisingly roomy for a single room in London and there are great common areas like a shady garden and patio, in house bar, and breakfast room. I would definitely stay again, Vincent House was a wonderful surprise!

Like many older London hotels there is no air conditioning (for cooling), but a bedside fan is provided in place for your comfort.

By far our best hotel in London over the years. Will definitely come back next trip. Employees extremely friendly, no matter if reception, breakfast restaurant, bar or housekeeping. Even though our room was facing the street it was quiet enough to sleep with completely open windows. Room with two beds in two separate rooms sharing one bath was nice, each room had a fridge and enough storage space. Close to Notting Hill gate, many shops, pubs, fast food in walking distance. Very good breakfast, nice garden area where you even could eat your meals when bought outside the hotel.

No air condition was a bit negative, but as we could open the windows at night the temperature was finally OK even after hot summer days. Lift a bit small and slow, but nothing to really worry about

Posizione centralissima, a 200 metri dalla stazione metro Notting Hill Gate, che ti permette di andare dove vuoi. Ad 1,5km da Hyde Park. Che dire, stanza grande e ben curata. Bagno un po essenziale ma nel complesso tutto molto bene. Ci ritornerò sicuramente.

La possibilità di non anticipare il check in. Non è comunque un grave disagio

WE ACTUALLY BOOKED THIS HOTEL BUT NEVER CHECKED IN. IT WAS THE HOTEST WEEK IN LONDON HISTORY AND WE COULD HAVE SWORN THIS PLACE WAS AIR CONDITIONED BUT IT WAS NOT. WE WILL HAVE TO ACCEPT THE BLAME FOR NOT READING THE FINE PRINT CORRECTLY. HOWEVER, WHEN WE GOT TO THE FRONT DESK, THE RECEPTIONIST INSISTED THAT BECAUSE IT'S LONDON, THEY DON'T NEED AIR CONDITIONING. WE HAD VISITED LONDON LAST YEAR AND THIS WAS OUR SECOND HOTEL STAY ON THIS VISIT. ALTHOUGH THERE MAY BE MANY HOTELS THAT STILL DON'T OFFER AIR CONDITIONING IN LONDON, THAT IS NOT THE STANDARD NOWADAYS AND MOST HOTELS IN LONDON NOW DO HAVE AIR CONDITIONING, NOT TO MENTION IT IS NOW THE STANDARD AROUND THE WORLD IN TODAYS CLIMATE AND ESPECIALLY AT THE PRICE OF THIS HOTEL. THE PRICE DID NOT REFLECT NO OFFER OF AIR CONDITIONING. I FOUND IT WAS RATHER RUDE OF THE RECEPTIONIST TO GIVE THAT EXCUSE, ASSUMING WE WERE NEW TOURISTS TO LONDON AND WOULD TAKE HER WORD FOR IT. WE UNDERSTAND WE MADE THE MISTAKE OF BOOKING THIS HOTEL, EXPECTING A/C, BUT SHE DID NOT HAVE TO BE RUDE ABOUT IT.

L’établissement est idéalement situé (métro et bus juste à côté). Les chambres sont très bien aménagées avec beaucoup de confort et de rangement. Le petit déjeuner est très complet. Le personnel très sympathique.

Sehr gute Lage, sauber, freundliches Personal, schnelle Kommunikation und sehr gutes Frühstück sowie extra Kaffeeküche für jederzeit kostenfreien Kaffee und Tee.

Beliggenheten er helt fantastisk, sentralt beliggende i Notting Hill ca 100 meter fra undergrunnstasjonen. Notting Hill er et sentralt, stille og nydelig sted å bo når en besøker London. Frokosten er tradisjonell engelska frokost, pluss litt utvalg av yougurt og musli. Ulike typer juice samt noen søtsaker. Ikke verdensklasse, men mer enn godt nok for meg. Kaffen er god, og det er en kaffemaskin som kan benyttes 24/7.

Rommet er relativt lite, ellers er det lite å sette fingeren på. Badet er også naturlig nok ganske lite.

We had 2 superior rooms, and they were very comfortable. As we stayed during a heatwave, the ceiling fan was great. Breakfast was plentiful, with a good range of selection. We also loved the location. The staff was very helpful. We also loved the lounge, where coffee, tea and water were available 24/7.

Everything was great! The elevator was small and as there was only one, so we used the stairs mostly.

So I needed a hotel for 1 night following a concert a friend and i were going to in Hyde Park & didnt want to have to walk too far. 2 minutes from Notting Hill Gate Tube & several bus routes. For the price we paid, it was at least a 1/3 of the other local hotels, it was EXCELLENT! However, it is not a luxury hotel. I believe its an old Gentlemen's club. Original character has been maintained....& certainly dont be put off by the outside view. We ordered twin room which was in fact a room split into 2 bedrooms, which was ideal for my friend and me. Very clean, TV in each room & coffee/tea facilities, nice shower in bathroom. Downstairs lounge had further 24/7 coffee machine also TV pool table piano....very quaint and comfortable. Lovely secluded rear courtyard and garden. AMAZING breakfast included in the price too. Full English and continental and waffles/fruit etc...pretty much anything you would expect from a top end hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful 24/7 reception that was also nice

I didn't know, but after some 90 years history the place is closing later this year. I was talking with one of the residents, who told me that without Vincent House there wouldn't be much point in staying in London. I agreed.

Walking distance to Metro. Quiet location and lovely neighborhood. Comfy bed. GREAT breakfast. Dinner looked great too but we didn’t try it. Friendly and helpful staff. Was able to store luggage hours before check in and invited to enjoy coffee to unwind. Coffee machine had a decaffeinated option.

Would have given a 10 if not for the very tight shower enclosure.

Tutto perfetto! Posizione top a pochi passi dalla metro Notting hill, pulizia eccezionale, colazione varia e abbondante, bellissimo giardino interno in cui rilassarsi, staff gentile e disponibile, area caffè, té e acqua aperte 24/7. Gigi è una fantastica guest star. Un angolo di paradiso!
