A very well-deserved 10/10! I’m absolutely delighted with this hotel. The location is excellent and very central, yet the hotel itself is incredibly peaceful and quiet. Everything is extremely clean and perfectly maintained, which I really appreciated. It’s a small, charming, family-run hotel with only five rooms, so it feels very personal and welcoming. The whole place is beautifully decorated with lots of lovely little details that make it feel special and cozy. The rooms are 100% complete — absolutely nothing is missing. Everything you could possibly need is there. The breakfast is also delicious, and the people looking after you are truly wonderful: kind, attentive and always helpful. Another big plus is that the hotel has parking, which makes everything even easier. I honestly cannot find a single negative thing to say. I recommend this place 100% and I will definitely stay here again when I come back. A wonderful experience from beginning to end!

A pleasant stay with a wonderful host! The property is well located and easily accessible. The room had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Not to miss the delicious yet simple breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend this place, especially to female solo travellers!

Never booking a hotel in Kolkata, ever again. No hotel can keep up with this level of cleanliness. Breakfast is very homely and infact will be looking forward to the omelettes until next time. Owners are literally always reachable. Great location. If value for money was a place it would be this.

Large room, awesome wall length window- perfect daylight entry, super helpful staff and owner - went out of the way to help me with tiny amenities which arent usually a part of the package (stationary, print, etc) flavourful chai and omelettes. Central has it all. 100/10 recommend

Audio system was not working. Waited for more than 40 mins outside the facility as no one was there.

Good location with an easy walk into town. Very helpful staff and we were able to do laundry which was a huge benefit for our long travels. Communication from the host is excellent

Wir hatten ein großes, sauberes Zimmer mit Ausblick zum engen Hinterhof. Die Lounge, wo wir frühstücken und chillen konnten, hat einen wunderschönen Blick über die Stadt. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Gefiltertes Wasser wurde bereit gestellt. Das Central Bed & Breakfast befindet sich in einem Hochhauswohnhaus und ist per Fahrstuhl erreichbar. Vom Haus waren Sehenswürdigkeiten wie das Victoria Memorial zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir kamen mitten in der Nacht vom Flughafen und konnten nachts einchecken. Unten am Hauseingang sitzt ein Pförtner, der die Hoftür geöffnet hat. Das Central Bed & Breakfast war ein guter Start für unseren Indien-Urlaub.

I LOVED this property, and I would stay again in a second if and when I return to Kolkata. The location was excellent, the bed was comfortable, the view was lovely, the staff was kind, and I had a great experience there through the 6 days I stayed. Staying in an apartment building was wonderful, and by the end of the week I felt at home in Kolkata.

The best location in Kolkata -an oasis in peace

All good -It is on the 7th Floor and therefore noise free.

Gets the job done. Excellent all around. A room inside a spaceous apartment. You get exactly what is advertised.

Big beautiful spotlessly clean rooms. Complete value for money.

Super super clean. Everything new. We were only there for a quick overnight, but it was a comfy place to sleep. Communication was excellent with even a little video showing what the approach to the building looks like to make finding it a breeze.

Breakfast is very minimal

We had a nice, well-appointed and spacious room that looked exactly like the photo. Delicious omelettes for breakfast and hot water in the shower. We were grateful for the teas and coffee available in room. The location was great and the security staff were very friendly.

The bed was a little too hard and there was not enough pressure in the shower head. It was noisy since our door was facing the lobby, and other guests tended to mingle in the area until late at night.

I had a fantastic stay and would recommend this to anyone. The apartment is in a central location, and the rooms are big, comfortable and clean. The check-in process was very easy with door code access, which was great because I arrived very late. I'd happily stay again if I was back in Kolkata.

Dette er et lite "pensjonat" i en stor leilighet i Kolkata. Eier bor i samme bygget, men driver ikke stedet daglig. Det er to ansatte som alger frokost og rengjør, Flott og mettende frokost som serveres i fellesrommet, gir gode muligheter for en god samtale med andre gjester. Veldig sentralt plassert med gåavstand til eksempelvis Park Street og steder som Victoria Memorial. Verten gir god beskrivelse av beliggenhet og adkomst, og er tilgjengelig for tips og tilrettelegging for guiding etc.

Det skal mye til for å få bedre "value for money", veldig hyggelig sted "å campe". Jeg likte alt ved dette stedet.

Huge bright clean room, very quiet. Location good but initially hard to find, I arrived around midnight and the street numbers seem to be the same both sides of the road. The video sent before arriving is essential to watch especially if arriving at night. Excellent breakfasts. As a woman traveling solo I felt very safe. Highly recommend.

I never met the hosts, only a very quiet man working there. The host was responsive to questions online but not a family run place as I expected. Still great though!

We stayed at Central Bed & Breakfast while recently visiting Kolkata. We had a wonderful stay and Jay could not have been more helpful! He was always willing to help out with any concerns or questions we had. He lives in the same tower so was readily available IF we needed him. They provided a substantial breakfast that kept us nourished throughout the day. Our room was very well appointed and had everything and then some that we needed. From bath essentials, a hairdryer, coffee/tea maker, an ironing board and iron, and an in room refrigerator. They even had a scale to weigh yourself. After an extended time and lots of food in India—I stayed away from that. Ha! We were also able to arrange for laundry service. That’s always a plus to be able to fill your suitcase with clean clothing. I also should mention we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and Jay was very kind and gave us a celebratory welcome gift. Very sweet. We also had a late flight out of Kolkata and were able to arrange to rent the room for a half day. THIS made a huge difference as we didn’t have to worry about our belongings until we’d officially left and were able to go on another tour that morning and come home and rest before leaving. Wonderful!

Because this is an apartment building, some of the common tower resident areas could have used a cleaning. It did not affect our stay however.

Owner, Mr Agarwal, is a pleasant young man. Regrettably I met him for only 15 minutes during three days. Security guards were always welcoming.

The bed was very hard- as firm as a rock! Though tired, difficult to sleep. The breakfast, prepared by house boys, is best forgotten- minimal and unremarkable. Get coffee elsewhere. Central location is deceptive as Uber is required to get anywhere. Walking in neighborhood is unrealistic. Old residential building.

Loved the stay ....it was my first time with my twin babies travelling so far...after a tired travel day ...it was so nice to come to a nice ,cosy, neat place of stay ...the place is centrally located ...their house keeper sanjay was very helpful...its a calm safe place ....the host replies to our messages immediately ,they address all our concerns ....breakfast was good ,so many restaurants close by ...surely would come again

We love Central Bed & Breakfast. The room was spacious, bright and clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was big and the staff was friendly and helpful. The communication with the owner was prompt and smooth. He did everything to make us feel welcome and to help us. We also had the laundry done at Central. The property is in a good location with the guards, we felt very safe there. I would definitely recommend Central Bed & Breakfast and would stay there again.

We had a pleasant stay at Central BnB in Kolkata. The location is excellent, and the check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. A special mention to Jayant, who communicated with us via WhatsApp. His attentive and friendly support made a big difference—he ensured food was delivered to our door and made us feel well taken care of throughout the stay.

However, we did feel a bit concerned about privacy as staff entered our room to fix the air conditioner without informing us beforehand, and they seemed to know our access code. The air conditioning issue did require attention, and although it led to a room change, it was resolved efficiently.

Good breakfast and staff helpful. Location near Victoria memorial park and shopping area, about 2km walk.

Staff on site speak very little English but they can contact owner who does speak English, for you quickly if they cannot sort out problem for you.. Taxis seem to have difficulty finding the building where the b&b is. So tip is to tell them, it's next to the ICICI Bank along Sarat Bose ( old name - Landsdowne Road)

We were only there for two nights en route to somewhere else and again for one night on the way home. Place was comfortable enough. The landlord was kind enough to let us stay in the shared lounge after checkout till it was time for our late night flight. Eating places and places of interests not too far away, about 2km walk to some nice restaurants, and Victoria Memorial Park, etc. Doors work on digital codes- convenient if more than one share the room.

Taxi drivers seem not to find where the building where the B&B is situated easily. Would have been helpful if directions to the B&B stated that the building it's in is next to an ICICI bank on the same road. The workers in the B&B speak a miniscule amount of English, but they would contact the owner for you to speak to should that become necessary. Lift is small - may have to take more than one trip for a party of more than 2 plus luggage. B&B is on 7th floor.

Courteous and efficient staff. Owner reachable easily . All queries answered beyond expectation. They take it upon themselves to make one’s stay a very smooth experience.

Lack of a good list of recommendations of restaurants, cafes, activities. Would enhance the experience. I asked the owner for some recommendations, but they were not good. Hot water was not working all the time. For the price I paid, I expect to have some bottles of water in the room. In all hotels I have stayed all over India, I always had packaged water bottles.

Facilities were great. Much storage room. Everything clean and shining. Staff very nice and attentive. Laundry Service plus ironing within 24 hours ( for 1000 inr). AC , Fan and Air purifyer working, WIFI without disturbance. Hotel owner was very kind and per WhatsApp always eager to help out. Breakfast was nice. Besides Omelette Sandwiches, (and bananas , Cornflakes , Müsli) there was every day another south Indian dish available. As i dont know south Indian Cuisine it was nice to try. You will get a Code for outside door and your room, so entering is easy. Iam from Germany and i know Kolkata very well. This hotel is actually a big flat in a very nice area in Kolkata. So its Not that anonymus as in other hotels.What i appreciated very much is that you have Peace and quiet there, no horn or the noise of the street and its a safe place also for single women. Downstairs is a guard watching the House. If you Like you can get your room cleaned everyday, for me that was not necessary .You will get all needed information ahead. There was a big TV and Sound System which i did Not use.I was lucky to find this place and think its a Jewel to stay comfortably in Kolkata. Next time i will book again there.

Actually i have nothing negative to say i want to mention one thing:In Kolkata in General beds and matrasses are hard. Westeners are used to more soft beds and the beds here are little harder than one is used to if you live outside of India. But in spite of that i slept very well in that bed.

The room was nice, the breakfast okay, the owner was helpful but I actually never meet him. What's app was the mode of communication and whenever I asked for his help he was obliging.

The location was in a business district of Kolkata, one or two coffee shops nearby, no real restaurants. Other than that just glitzy shops and offices. There was a communal area common to all the rooms and this was an area of noise from fellow guests on the second night. Potentially a real problem if a family is staying and the kids use the area for play as there are board games and a table tennis table available. The owner allowed me to change room for my last night which was okay. Still this might not always be possible if the accommodation is fully booked. Expensive but it is Kolkata and the room was very nice and clean.
