Red Arrow Residency, Kolkata

Location is pretty good, fairly clean, and the breakfast options are limited but adequate. Staff were good.

The house rule regarding ordering dinner was quite stiff. You have to place an order before 4 PM; otherwise, you have to go out to dinner or order online. Not sure why; they may have their reasons, but it was odd for sure. TV was difficult to operate. When the TV was operating, the most important national news channels and sports channels were not available. Surely they can afford the little money it costs to pay the local cable connection providers, especially seeing how much business they were getting during my stay there.

Location , hospitality and cleanliness

Approach

Muy buena atención del personal. Limpio y bien comunicado.

Felt safe and quiet in amongst the madness of Kolkata Nice comfortable rooms Tastefully presented Helpful staff. We were able to extend our booking by half a day and keep the room before our evening flight.

The only thing was that we were automatically given a western style breakfast - I would have preferred to have the option of Indian style like the other guests.

Clean , comfortable and affordable

leckeres Omelett,guter Kaffee

Rien

This place is not a hotel at all. There is an apartment building with no hotel signage, front door etc - and in this building a few rooms have been converted for rental. Don't be fooled by the photos - its not a proper hotel at all!

There is no proper hotel actually - just a collection of around a dozen rooms on two floors (2nd and 5th floors) of an apartment building. Rooms are ordinary, breakfast is very basic (no proper buffet etc.), and the approach to rooms is through a very basic common area. Not at all worth the tariff being charged. We left after just one night.

Bardzo dobre śniadanie. Podane nawet o 5 rano gdy wyjezdzalysmy o 5.30.

Family-feel like. Great location. Very friendly staff. Quiet despite central. Top value for money.

Na

Was will man mehr?

Good breakfast

Very clean stay, great, healthy breakfast, very attentive caretaker and awesome location.

Location and helpful staffs

Small room size

Extrem gute Lage.

Good breakfast. The staff were kind enough to give us breakfast earlier than their normal time as we had an early start. Their service was very prompt.

The place is in need of some maintenance repairs. Small problems like switch not working, tap dripping etc. The towels, pillow covers need replacement. There was much traffic noise in our room as it is close to the flyover.

Staff took care of us very kindly. Breakfast was always tasty. The buildind seems a bit old but room was always very clean. It was really confortable to stay here.

Tout est nickel !

Rien

Homelike comfort. Very central location.

Location Staff was good

Size of the bedroom could be managed better

Red Arrow Resdiency was very helpful to me, I had to go to Hospital and she went with me. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Personal is very helpful. Thank you!

Gate closed and noone answer phone

Clean Attention to detail. Friendly housekeeper. Hot water. Firm bed.

Ampia camera, pulita e silenziosa. Personale gentile e disponibile. Colazione abbondante e varia. Posizione centrale. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Nulla.

The property location is spot on it's just few minutes away from Rabindra Sadan Station and can reach to any important place from the train. Hotel is very cozy, comfortable and clean ..feels like home, very homely environment. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room are clean, decent and have all the basic requirements. Breakfast is decent, healthy and most importantly fresh. They allow us to keep our food in their refrigerator. In general, we like everything about this hotel. Sunny room, at central but quiet too. I know where I want to stay when I come to Kolkata next time

In general, I like everything about this hotel

1. Well appointed big rooms 2.Homely bfast 3.Superb location 4.Clean washroom and Bed linen

1.Plug points for the mobile charger / Hot water kettle were difficult to find and operate

Substantial breakfast , excellent staff behaviour . Thoughtful and artistic surroundings

Couldn't find any fault really

Red Arrow Residency is on two floors of a five-storey building, in a central part of Kolkata. The reception is on the top floor, the rooms are on both floors. They are comfortable, with air-conditioning, ceiling fan, shower, TV, kettle, wifi, etc (no fridge). The staff are friendly, especially the caretaker on the second floor, Daposh (not sure of the spelling), who cooks breakfast and cleans the rooms. The proprietor was accommodating and sympathetic when I asked to change rules, because I didn’t like the loud music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. I like to go to bed early and get up early but it was impossible on these nights because of the cacophonous din emanating from a nearby venue until late each night. At times, it was like being in a nightclub. On the Sunday, the racket didn’t stop until 11.30. The hotel kindly moved me to a quieter room with a much nicer view, overlooking trees instead of a back alley. The first room was number 201 (although it says 401 on the door), the second was number 204.

Loud music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Comfortable bed. Cosy common area where breakfast was served.

The manager who checked us in didn't return our greeting, and didn't do more than grunt and use monosyllabic instructions to fill in our 1 page hotel registration forms. I had to specifically request that the floor warden showing us to our room actually provide verbal information and the WiFi code. He had very minimal English, and understanding the breakfast order options was difficult.

Breakfast is very well prepared by a friendly staff. Thank you.

Location was great

Classy, quiet property near to the Victoria Memorial. Staff is attendant without being at all intrusive. Rooms are very comfortable.

Great location and close to the Victoria Memorial and surrounding parks. The hotel driveway is located at a busy street, but the rooms were actually very quiet since the building is some distance away from it. Staff was friendly and the included breakfast was simple but delicious. The room was very clean and had all the features I need: A/C unit and a ceiling fan, warm water in the bathroom etc. I would stay here again on my next trip to Kolkata.

The hotel driveway is easy to miss so pay close attention to the map if you're arriving by car.

Clean and spacious room, lovely relaxed communal sitting and dining area, very helpful staff

Well positioned, understated, clean, friendly , beautifully decorated and with toiletries, hairdyers and a safe..Good breakfast. Homely feel.. Excellent value fof money And quiet

Location, quietness, cleanliness, efficiency, staff

Arranged transport to and from train/airport was expensive

Eine tolle und bezahlbare Unterkunft!

My 2nd stay. A quiet oasis away from the bustle of teeming Kolkata. - Staff are professional, the place is very well managed, w cheerful Ms Shampa at reception. - Rooms are mostly updated & sheets are crisp. - try the delicious inhouse dinner- you need to order ahead.

Staff were welcoming & smiling. Especially cheerful Dalan, who prepared the delicious meals & presents them meticulously. - location is great, just 3min walk to Rabindra Sadan Metro.

Good communication by the management & professional service by the staff: very friendly people, tasty breakfast, support with the lost luggage.

Excellent room, great staff special mention of Anil,Uttam,Dulal awesome ambience 5 stars rating

Loved everything ❤️

So quiet in my room even though in busy area. Room had all facilities that I personally like, helpful staff, very near metro, easy to locate from street. Good Wi fi. Good breakfast, choice of Indian or Western. I would book here again if available.

I tried hard to think of something but could not.

Rien

The location is spot on. Prime location in Kolkata yet tucked away from the noisy streets. Very nice rooms, large, clean, well stocked and clean bathrooms, a hearty breakfast every morning. I highly recommend this place.

They don't have a restaurant in house, so lunch is never served here. Although you can arrange for dinner by letting them know ahead of time which is pretty delicious and wholesome, sometimes if the cook is absent, you will need to arrange for your own food by either going out to a restaurant nearby or ordering online or over the phone and eating it in the dining area. Not the deal breaker, but a good thing to know.

Location is near metro. Staffs are helpful.

Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, spacious shared lounge, clean throughout. Quiet as it is located 100m down a side lane off the the very busy main road. Two minutes walk to a metro station and walking distance to Queen Victoria Memorial.

No refrigerator in the room.

Location, breakfast was decent but ok, comfortable and clean beds. The place is very quiet, despite being in the center of noisy Kolkata.

Difficult to find, no instructions in advance how to reach the property. Guests do not receive keys to the outside doors, they are unlocked by the staff on duty after ringing the bell, so you can hear other guests returning at night. This is neither sensible nor rational, it disrupts your rest.

Absolutely loved it. Clean, quiet and on great location. Staff were so helpful. Lived the simple yet nutritious breakfast. Will definitely come again.

Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Breakfast with toast, eggs and fruits was good.

Klimaanlage funktioniert gut. Betten bequem. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unübertroffen.

Keine Wünsche offen.
