Die Lage ist super. Klar, am Hafen ist immer mehr Leben und von daher vielleicht ein wenig lauter als anderswo - war aber alles im Rahmen. Das Zimmer war modern und sehr sauber. Das junge Personal war hilfsbereit super freundlich - trotz meiner späten Ankunft.

Insgesamt hat das Frühstück Verbesserungspotential. Zu Beginn erklären wie, was abläuft. Man kann sich etwas Leckeres von der Menükarte frisch zubereiten lassen. Der Instant-Kaffee, die „Säfte“, die Müsli sind sehr einfach gehalten - was schade ist und sehr leicht zu ändern wäre. Die Sauberkeit im Speisesaal, insbesondere der Boden und die Tische sollten bevor die Gäste kommen überprüft werden.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay with one caveat. The location couldn’t be more central right amongst the bars, cafes, restaurants, theatre and harbour. We booked the family room on the second floor. It was very nicely decorated and looked fairly newly done. It’s a large room, comfy bed, sofa, two windows looking out over the harbour and a great walk in shower. Breakfast was also great with eight different options to choose between. The staff were also friendly, however it would have been nice for the women who showed us to our room to help my wife with one of her bags, as the stairs are tricky.

The main downside is on one hand a positive, but on the other hand a negative! The location is brilliant, however even on a Tuesday night there was a guy playing a guitar entertaining a crowd outside a pub opposite until 11pm. There’s no way I could sleep until he had finished. But then that’s the compromise! Overall we ended the stay.

Serious safety issue and unresolved refund We had a room booked at Three Crowns in August. Unfortunately, the lock on our room door was damaged and the door could not be locked. We only discovered this issue later in the evening, at around 9:00 pm, as this was the first time we were about to leave the room again after checking in. This meant that we would have had to leave the room unlocked when going out for dinner, as well as during the night. Under these circumstances, staying in the room was not an option for us. We immediately informed the hotel about the issue. We were told that the lock could not be repaired at such short notice and that we would therefore have to find another hotel. We were explicitly told that we would receive a refund for the room. As the refund could not be processed using the card terminal at the hotel, we were instructed to contact the hotel through Booking.com. I did so immediately. However, I was then asked to provide the necessary information by phone, which is not possible for me. I therefore asked to resolve the matter in writing, but have received no further response since then. At this point, Booking.com and PayPal have also been involved in trying to resolve the issue. I am requesting a full refund of the original room price, as well as reimbursement of all additional costs incurred as a direct result of having to find alternative accommodation, including the replacement hotel and breakfast. It was not simply an inconvenience but a basic safety and security problem with the room, which the hotel was unable to resolve. The fact that the promised refund has still not been processed, despite my contacting the hotel immediately, is particularly disappointing. I hope this matter will now be resolved promptly and in full. I will update this review once the refund and reimbursement have been settled.

Great location, lovely big family room, clean and tidy. Great facilities in the room - tv ironing board with iron, hairdryer, tea and coffee making and mini fridge. Great view over the water. Great staff. I did see some reviews about it being loud late evening but we had no issue it was all quiet by 11pm. Think this might be our yearly stay before we get our ferry.

Great location in the centre of Plymouth. Nice breakfast served by pleasant and helpful staff. Paid parking next to the accommodation was very convenient.

Beim Frühstück gibt es nur Instantkaffee und im Familienzimmer war kein separates Bett für das Kind.

This accommodation is situated above a very busy pub in a very busy area with a nightclub next door. It is perfectly situated if you want to be on the Barbican in Plymouth which we did as we had a party to go to just around the corner. It was also a Saturday night in the height of the summer so as you can imagine exceptionally busy all around the area. Our room was on the third floor and a really nice clean room with a comfy bed to be fair. The hosts supply plenty of bottled water and ear plugs for their guests so that’s a nice touch. The windows were open as the weather was very warm and consequently the room was really warm, we wanted to close the windows as the noise from the street was pretty loud however it made the room really hot and unbearable. There was a portable air cooler which we switched on but which was about as much use as a chocolate teapot!! We hardly slept a wink .

Breakfast not as good as before. No coffee machine for decent coffee as before. Instant coffee not good! New bar downstairs ‘OUT OUT’ doesn’t close until 4am and music really loud! Managed to fall asleep by 2am though and slept until 8.30am so not too bad. If you have young kids don’t request front bedrooms! That was the only let down though!

Stayed here in the winter and it was great but the heat in the bedrooms was u bearable this time of year. We never slept a wink and I was actually in a cold shower at 3am. Really need to get some decent portable air con units as the rooms are in the loft area which gets the sun all day. Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning just to be able to cool down

Friday and Saturday nights the place turns into a night club and should not advertise for family stays. At one point we had lads on a night out outside the B and B door trying to find a toilet upstairs asking if any of the rooms were unlocked .

I knew it was a pub so expected it to be a little noisey but checked and it closed at 11 so not too bothered,But outside was just so noisey with music Drunks shouting and fighting till well after 4am then the people staying in the room next to mine came home around 4.30am banging and crashing and talking at the top of there voices !! did not sleep much at all

Location and warm welcome from staff. Decor in room good plus a fridge. The lady who served us breakfast was lovely and made our start to the day very good.

Unfortunately the coffee machine was broken and they’d run out of black pudding! One of the windows wouldn’t open - if it did there would be good airflow and no need for aircon machine. Shower head needs attention - big leak between it and the hose.

Location was fantastic - some may complain about the noise from local bars ( as earplugs provided) not an issue for us . The vibe from the area was brilliant Accommodation clean & comfortable, well decorated and accessible at any time via secure residence door Very warm rooms due to the current climate, mini air con unit was available, perhaps a fan may have been beneficial but we didn't request one Breakfast was superb, great choice Staff were friendly & helpful Definitely stay here again

Due to the heatwave in the UK during our visit, the room was way too hot. Unfortunately, it is not possible to open windows in a meaningful way and there is no AC. Extraordinary circumstances, I guess.

The location and rooms were fab. Lovely breakfast.

My one criticism is that the housekeeper absolutely hammered on our door twice at around 9.30 and 10am. Bear in mind checkout is 11am. She said she was concerned something was wrong as we hadn’t been for breakfast. 1 - we had been for breakfast at 8am! 2 - so what if we hadn’t? Maybe we didn’t want it. Seemed to me that she was just in a rush to get the rooms done quicker. A disappointing end to a lovely stay.

Zimmer im Dachgeschoss sehr heiss, kaum zu lüften, Gepäck anspruchsvoll hochzutragen durch engstes Treppenhaus, bim Tragen kein wirkliches Hilfeangebot, unterliegende Kneipe sehr laut und insgesamt sehr belebte Hafenumgebung mit Partyvolk muss man mögen

Die Lage ist sehr gut, nah am Meer.

Die Diskothek nebenan ist sehr laut bis morgens 3 Uhr. Da das Zimmer nicht klimatisiert ist, sind wir zu dritt bei geschlossenem Fenster und den heißen Temperaturen im Juli 26 fast weggeschmolzen.

Its location, it was like party central. Very noisy until 2.30am with the club next door. We were on top floor and room was extremely hot. Even the small air con unit was no help. We couldn’t open window as was too noisy.

Der nervtötende Lärm aus dem hauseigenen Pub sowie des angrenzenden Clubs bis 5.00 Uhr morgens. Für meinen Mann war nirgends ein aufrechter Gang möglich aufgrund der Verwinkelungen im alten Haus. Das Bad hat starke Wasserflecken an der Decke, Zimmer kann kaum gelüftet werden. Insgesamt extrem warm zu der ohnehin schlaflosen Nacht (Kneipe und Disco) Frühstück ebenfalls sehr ungesund und lieblos. Personal reagierte unwirsch auf unsere Nachfrage ein ruhigeres Zimmer zu tauschen.

We sliepen in kamer 4 (direct onder dak) en het was er loeiheet, 25 graden plus. Een raampje kon 20 cm open, maar er was geen sprake van doorwaaien. Er was geen airco, wel een lichte ventilator. Het ontbijt viel niet in de smaak. Je kunt kiezen uit 8 gerechten, vooral vet. Geen croissants, geen vers fruit, geen verse koffie.

Das Zimmer war unterm Dach und man konnte bei über 30 Grad Außentemperatur das Fenster nur einen Spalt öffnen. Der Ventilator, war sehr schwach und trotzdem sehr laut. Außerdem wurde uns bei der Frage nach einer zweiten Decke gesagt, das man nur einmal die Woche frische Bettwäsche bekäme und auch nur so viel wie man maximal bräuchte und wir deshalb nicht mal ein zweites Laken bekommen könnten. Es wurde uns nahegelegt, dass wir doch das Laken von der Decke ziehen könnten und so zwei Decken hätten. Das war sehr irritierend. Bei der Abreise haben wir zufällig die Wäschekammer gesehen, welche voll mit Bettwäsche war. Die Lautstärke von den Gästen unten aus dem Pub war da tatsächlich, das kleinste Übel. Die erste Nacht war eine absolute Katastrophe, so dass wir die zweite Nacht im Leonardo Hotel die Straße raus geschlafen haben und nur zum Frühstück und zum Check Out wieder gekommen sind. Außerdem hat sich meine Freundin eine Tasche an den frisch gestrichenen Türen versaut, weil diese angeblich schon trocken waren. Also im Herbst und Winter, sicherlich ganz nett. Aber auch der Wandschrank war nicht geputzt. Im Sommer sollten die Zimmer unterm Dach nicht vermietet werden.

L'emplacement était parfait pour un séjour à Plymouth, la chambre magnifique. Le quartier agréable avec une superbe vue sur le port de notre chambre. A noter que l'isolation sonore des chambres est très bien faite car le quartier est en effet très animés, pubs, concerts etc. et nous n'avons entendu aucun bruit pendant la nuit.Le petit déjeuner était parfait. Adresse à bien garder !

Die Lage ist einfach nicht zu toppen, alles ist fußläufig sehr gut erreichbar. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und hatte eine gute Größe, ebenso das Bad. Der Blick aus dem Fenster ist auf den Fotos zu sehen. Für den Preis hätte ich auch den Umfang des Frühstücks nicht erwartet, es gab sogar frische Erdbeeren, Säfte, Cerialien, Joghurt und verschiedene warme Frühstücksvarianten auf Wunsch zubereitet. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis könnte nicht besser sein. Und ja, es war bis in die Morgenstunden sehr laut, aber es ist in dieser Lage nicht anders zu erwarten und jeder, der sich vor der Buchung informiert, rechnet mit nichts anderem (danke für die Ohrstöpsel :-)

Es wurde schon gesagt,es gab nur löslichen Kaffee. Das ist sehr schade, aber auch hier verweise ich auf den recht günstigen Preis.

Excellent value for money, great location if you are going for a bite to eat and a few beers . Yes you get the noise but not late and we expected that as it’s a lively location which we chose on purpose.

Rummet var fint, hamnen likaså. Fint område för härliga promenader.

Stället ligger precis intill någon sorts nattklubb som gör att extremt hög musik spelas fram till 2 på natten. Ställets egen pub stänger 11 på vardagar och 12 på helgen och det är helt fine. Frukostrummets golv var ”kladdigt” som från utspilld dryck. Det verkade som det också användes för privata fester. Där upplevde vi att man behöver sköta städningen bättre.

The location was absolutely fantastic. Great variety of restaurants on the doorstep. The linens were lovely and the room very comfortable. The shower had good pressure.

The location suited us perfectly, it was quayside, surrounded by shops, restaurants and bars. Very pretty. The room was spacious and comfortable, recently renovated with a lovely ensuite bathroom. Beautiful views.

We liked everything but if you prefer a quiet location you may find the noise from the pub customers too much.
