el mejor alojamiento de nuestro viaje, la cabaña familiar es idílica rodeada de un cuidada jardín y naturaleza con algunos monos simpáticos, parece que estás dentro de la selva. El anfitrión contactó con gente local para poder ver tortugas, alimentarlas y bañarnos junto a ellas. El mejor desayuno que tomamos.

Difícil de llegar sin transporte o conductor propio.

L'Asanka ens va rebre de manera fantàstica, és un molt bon hoste i vam gaudir d'un boníssim suc de mango només arribar. Al vespre també vam poder sopar a l'allotjament i cuina molt bé! Ens va recomanar llocs on poder anar durant el dia i al vespre vam poder anar amb ell a veure les tortugues. Les cabanes són precioses, les hamaques i la zona de sopar són ben agradables. Recomanem molt l'estada en aquest allotjament! Gràcies Asanka!!

Späte Ankunft war kein Problem, per WhatsApp konnten wir unkompliziert ein sehr leckeres Abendessen bestellen. Der Gastgeber ist äußerst zuvorkommend, flexibel und die ganze Familie unterstützt, zwei spontane Ausflüge zu Meeresschildkröten (abends zur Ei-Ablage, morgens zur Fütterung) wurden kurzfristig organisiert und waren ein einzigartiges Highlight. Das Homestay liegt etwas abseits, aber nah am Strand. Die Zimmer in gemauerten Hütten haben Klimaanlage, sind sauber, gepflegt und wunderschön in den Garten integriert. Frühstück mit frischem Obst und Pancakes, schnelle Reaktion auf Wünsche, familiäre Atmosphäre. Sitzgelegenheiten draußen, Aufenthaltsbereich und Hängematte runden die schöne Anlage ab.

Wir waren wirklich sehr begeistert von dieser Unterkunft. Zum einen liegt sie wunderbar ruhig, nur 5 Minuten von einem super schönen Strand entfernt. Die Cabanas sind sehr sauber, verfügen über Klimaanlage, sehr gute Moskitonetze und ein eigenes Bad. Auch das Frühstück und Abendessen war sehr gut und reichlich. Der Gastgeber hat sich viel Zeit genommen, um uns die Schildkröten bei Tag und bei Nacht zu zeigen, das war sehr eindrucksvoll und v.a. sehr respektvoll im Umgang mit den Tieren.

Nous avons séjourné à Turtle Watch Cabana en famille avec nos deux adolescents, et ces trois nuits comptent parmi les plus belles de tout notre voyage au Sri Lanka. Dès l'arrivée, l'accueil est chaleureux, sincère, humain — on se sent immédiatement chez des gens passionnés par ce qu'ils font et par la nature qui les entoure. Les cabanas sont un vrai coup de cœur : authentiques, parfaitement intégrées dans leur environnement, avec tout ce qu'il faut pour passer des nuits confortables au son de l'océan. Mais ce qui restera gravé dans nos mémoires, c'est sans aucun doute l'expérience nocturne avec le Rekawa Turtle Conservation Project. Accompagnés par des guides attentionnés et respectueux, nous avons eu la chance d'observer des tortues marines venir pondre sur la plage dans la nuit noire. Nous avons également eu la chance de pouvoir nourrir une tortue. Expérience incroyable! Merci à Asanka et ses fils pour cette parenthèse si précieuse.

Un endroit exceptionnel, notre hôtes était à nos petit soin. Accueil avec un jus de fruit frais puis un très bon dîner. Logement propre et en pleine nature. La douche ouverte avec vue sur les arbres est tout simplement génial. Un petit déjeuner très complet avec pancakes 😍. Et je ne parle pas de la soirée que nous a fait vivre notre hôtes sur la plage. Un moment magique que nous vivrons qu’une seule fois. Merci. Vous aurez bien compris que je recommande cet endroit où les amateur de chose simple seront ravie.

Lieve familie, zeer behulpzaam, en een goed hart voor de schildpadden. Mooie groene tuin, heerlijk relaxed.

Les chambres sont joliment aménagées, la famille qui gère le lieu adorable : accueil charmant du papa (malgré un air a priori un peu froid) qui nous amenés de nuit voir les tortues et de jour découvrir une crique que nous ne trouvions pas ; cuisine délicieuse et généreuse de la maman, et une super partie de uno proposée par leur fils. À cela s’ajoute une plage superbe et déserte à quelques centaines de mètres. Une très belle surprise.

El entorno, pura naturaleza cerca de la playa. Nuestra cabaña familiar de 4 era muy acogedora y Asanka fue muy amable y nos hizo más agradable nuestra estancia. Limpio, aire acondicionado perfecto, wifi, nevera…no le faltaban detalles. Y que desayuno!! Espectacular y delicioso. Súper recomendable.

We didn't even consider Tangalle until we met a couple who came here and had the most amazing experience at this hotel with a very high chance of seeing turtles lay eggs. The turtle tour at night was a bucket list experience that we will forever remember. The rooms, in our opinion looked much better than in the pictures. The owner, was as great as we were told from the couple. The vibe was very relaxed, tropical and nice. I would highly recommend this place as it met the expectations explained by others.

Het verblijf bestaat uit 3 losstaande huisjes waarvan wij er een hadden met 2 tweepersoonsbedden met klamboe en inclusief koelkast, airco en kledingkast. De gastheer Asanka is erg hulpvaardig en heeft ons meegenomen naar het strand om de groene schildpadden te voeren. Wat een geweldige ervaring was dit zeg. Asanka en zijn vrouw verzorgen een geweldig ontbijt en diner. Heerlijk gegeten daar.

Sehr ruhige und schöne Unterkunft. Das Personal und besonders der Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein echtes Highlight war, dass uns der Besitzer zu einer großen Schildkröte in der Nähe gebracht hat – ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Perfekt für einen entspannten Aufenthalt in Sri Lanka. Gerne wieder!

Aslanka was an amazing host !

The host Asanka was exceptionally accommodating. In addition to serving a delicious breakfast and showing us sea turtles, he even drove us to the beach at night so we could watch turtles laying their eggs. With his many years of experience in turtle conservation, he explained everything in a fascinating and insightful way. The location felt like paradise to us. From the restaurant, you look out over the three cabanas surrounded by palm trees, beautifully lit at night with cozy lights. The room features a quiet air conditioner and a semi-open bathroom—such a unique experience, especially when you’re in the shower looking up at the palm trees in the sunlight, maybe even spotting a monkey :)

An unforgettable experience staying right on the edge of the wild ocean. The cabanas are simple but comfortable, and being so close to the turtle nesting beach is a huge plus. It's quiet, rustic, and the sound of the waves at night is incredible. Perfect for a nature-focused stay.

Le grand plus la gentillesse de l hôte qui nous a amené voir la ponte des tortues le soir sur la plage : tout simplement magique ! Asanka is a very skilful man who has made a little paradise out of his hands: it is, by far, the most beautiful accommodation we have had in our visit to Sri Lanka. Each house is different and original. His wife, Ridma, has decorated the interiors with great taste, creating a very warm and homely feeling. The garden is beautiful, and you have 5 min walk to a beuatiful beach. As I said, a little paradise. Thanks a lot for sharing with us. You are in our heart and we wish you all the best.

We arrived late at nighr and it took us a while to find the place. Maybe some signposts along the way could help.

Nous avons particulièrement aimé y séjourner, si vous cherchez un endroit au calme, et authentique avec beaucoup de charme n'hésitez pas. Nous avons été super bien accueilli, les hôtes ont été très sympathiques et ont tout fait pour que notre séjour soit parfait. Belles plages et petit restos sympas 5/10 min à pied Nous avons même pu faire une sortie pour voir les tortues pondre en soirée en tout petit groupe, un moment mémorable. Un petit coin de paradis

Nous avons apprécié le petit déjeuner et le sourire et amabilité de l'épouse du propriétaire. La cabane en elle même était sympa et les lits confortables. Jus de fruit offert a l'arrivée. Lavage du linge bon marché. Plage super belle et préservée.

Le propriétaire était vraiment distant et froid. Je dirais même très désagréable. Nous avons ressenti un important malaise. Je ne comprends pas tous les avis positifs le concernant. A croire que nous n'avons pas rencontré la même personne. Pas un mot même durant le déjeuner ou bien questions formulées par mots isolés alors qu'il parle très bien anglais. Aucun conseil ne nous a été donné que ça soit pour les tortues ou indications sur les plages. A notre arrivée, seul moment où nous avons un peu échangé, nous avons expliqué que nous ne souhaitions pas déranger les tortues et les voir en groupes de touristes mais espérions en apercevoir... A-t-il peut être mal pris nos demandes de renseignements ? Il ne nous a en tout cas rien proposé. L'hebergement n'est pas du tout indiqué au bon endroit sur la carte de booking et n'est pas en bord de mer. Il faut marcher 10min pour accéder à une jolie plage mais où il y a énormément de vagues et parfois des rochers et 20 minutes pour une plage près d'un petit port ou l'eau est calme mais que nous avons trouvée par nous même. Un soir, nous avions réservé un dîner, convenu avec lui. Avant notre retour de la plage et afin de ne pas déranger nous avons demandé si c'était bien ok pour lui et il nous a conseillé de plutôt manger dehors. Etonnés, nous avons du nous débrouiller mais avons pensé qu'il avait un empêchement. A notre retour, il avait pourtant cuisiné pour d'autres invités !! Le coût du lavage du linge est correct mais nous l'avons recuperé en boule dans une corbeille. Pour terminer, pas de déplacement du propriétaire quand nous sommes partis. Nous avons reservé à 9 endroits différents mais jamais nous n'avons reçu pareil accueil ! Au contraire jusqu'ici, nous avons toujours rencontré des personnes aimables et chaleureuses. C'était la douche froide (au sens propre comme au sens figuré...

Turtle Watch Cabana est l'endroit idéal pour poser ses valises et se reposer. Niché en pleine nature, calme, proche de jolies plages et de bons restaurants. L'accueil y est exceptionnel, notre hôte et sa famille sont d'une incroyable générosité. Les cabanes sont très bien conçues et très propres. Le petit-déjeuner, ainsi que le diner que nous pouvons prendre sur place sont excellents. Tout était parfait.

Le wifi au bout du jardin est faible.

Niesamowite miejsce pośrodku jungli. Dookoła słychać odgłosy różnych zwierząt, małpy skaczą dookoła. Bardzo cicha okolica, idealna na chill out. Bardzo blisko mala, klimatyczna plaza gdzie pływają żółwie. Bardzo dobre śniadania, najlepsze lokalne, właściciel zaskakuje codziennie czymś innym. Przepyszne kolacje przygotowywane przez właściciela, warto zamawiac ryby i owoce morza, wszystko świeże i łowione na bieżąco. Domki bardzo klimatyczne, domek 4 osobowy ma łazienkę bez dachu, więc można w niej spotkać różne okazy, ale to jungla i trzeba być tego świadomym. Pokoj czysty i są moskitiery. Male domki 2 osobowe maja normalna łazienkę z dachem. Ogólnie najlepsze miejsce na Sri Lance w jakim byliśmy. W pobliżu restauracja Rock beach restaurant, która serwuje przepyszne jedzenie, warto tam zajrzeć na Lunch.

Jest to środek jungli, więc można spotkać różne okazy :), ale mając moskitiere można spac spokojnie. Cały ośrodek i otoczenie rekompensuje wszytsko. Polecam

Very nice cabana, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Owner is very helpful, attentive but very relaxed and friendly. Really loved the place. Short walk to the beach and a few restaurants in walking distance. Great breakfast!

Les cabanes sont supers et propres. Le jardin est très jolie. Les hôtes sont adorables. L'endroit est idéalement situé. La mer n'est pas très loin à pied, et il y a pleins d'oiseaux. Nous avons vu des tortues de mer en se baladant sur la plage! A ne pas rater: le restaurant happy beach: vue superbe et poisson frais!

Best place to stay in Rekawa! Very attentive host who wants to give you an experience, and he does it very well! Cabanas are amazing well kept, near the best beaches, with all the comforts u need! Very clean place! Food is excellent too! I had the pleasure of spending an evening with Asanka, the owner, drinking a couple of glasses together and talking about our lives. Very pleasant memories that I will keep with me! I hope we will be back one day! Thanks for your hospitality!

Lovely family run place. Spacious hut in a beautiful garden. Felt very safe and tucked away. Short walk to the beach. One of our sons unfortunately got spiked by a sea urchin. The family were so helpful in sorting us out. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Si no queréis sitios muy concurridos este lugar es perfecto, en medio de la naturaleza y a pie de un par de calitas super tranquilas, en una de ellas hay una tortuga gigante que puedes incluso alimentar junto a gente local. Fue una maravilla la estancia.

We hadden een prachtige accommodatie. Twee zeer ruime en fijne bedden met buitendouche. Mooi aangelegde tuin. De eigenaar heeft ons naar een plek gebracht waar we een zeeschilpad konden voeren met zeegras, dit was echt heel bijzonder. Savonds zijn we met de eigenaar naar het strand gegaan om schilpadden eieren te zien leggen, heel bijzonder dit! De stranden in de omgeving zijn idyllisch en nog ongerept.

La famiglia che gestisce questo luogo magico è molto accogliente e disponibile. Abbiamo trascorso il capodanno con loro in un luogo davvero pacifico e bellissimo. Le strutture sono ancora più belle dal vivo che in fotografia. Giardino molto curato. Abbiamo mangiato colazione e cene nella struttura e la qualità è stata ottima. Hanno cucinato tutto non piccante anche per i bambini. Ci siamo sentiti a casa Vicino alla struttura c e una spiaggia dove arrivano giornalmente un paio di tartarughe e se si è fortunati si ha la possibilità di vederle.

Deres yngste søn spillede og hyggede sig med vores børn, tog os med til hemmeligt spot hvor vi fodrede og svømmede med en havskildpadde. Derefter viste han os en meget lækker børnevenlig og lokal strand. Om aftenen tog værten os bagom den store forsamling og kørte afsted med hen for at se en havskildpadde lægge æg. herrlich idyllischen gelegen. sehr nette Familie vermietet 3 Häuschen in sehr gepflegten Garten nur 3 min zu Fuß zum Strand. Auf Wunsch wird sehr leckeres Abendessen gekocht. Waren mit dem TukTuk dort und damit auch schnell in Tangale der Gastgeber hat sich sehr gekümmert und uns tagsüber Schildkröten im Wasser und nachts am Strand zur Eiablage gezeigt..sehr zu empfehlen.

The host and his family were great. Especially his son. The food was great. The beach close by very quiet and beautiful. Had beautiful shells and natural pool to swim in. Tree swings, cafe. 👌

De cabanas zijn ruim, heel schoon, hebben een heerlijke douche, hele fijne brede bedden,en een leuk terras gelegen in een prachtige tuin. Ontbijt en diner ook prima in de tuin. Overdag een grote schildpad gezien bij een klein strandje dankzij de eigenaar!

We gingen naar deze accommodatie voor de avondexcursie naar het schildpaddenstrand. We wachten tot 23.00 op ons terras. Volgens de eigenaar waren die avond geen schildpadden te zien dus gingen we enigszins teleurgesteld naar bed. Want verder is hier niets te beleven, ligt heel ver uit het centrum.

Increíble cabaña hecha a mano por su dueño, súper cómodas las camas , aire acondicionado y todo súper limpio. A pocos pasos de la playa donde anidan las tortugas, el propio dueño nos acompañó junto los guías locales a ver dicho evento y fue maravilloso.

Najlepszy nocleg, jaki mieliśmy na Sri Lance! Wprawdzie był najdroższy, ale wart swojej ceny! Gospodarz pomocny. Zorganizował nam nocne wyjście na podglądanie żółwi. Zjedliśmy też przepyszną, ogromną kolację przygotowaną przez żonę Asanki - ryby i kottu. Śniadanie było wspaniałe, obfite! Plaża nad oceanem - bardzo bliziutko!

Die Häuser wurde alle vom Besitzer konzipiert und gebaut. Er kocht auch selbst für die Gäste und nimmt sich enorm viel Zeit, einen am Abend Schildkröten bei der Eiablage zu zeigen oder am Morgen mit ihnen zu schwimmen. Toller Strand an der Unterkunft.

Dit verblijf was echt heerlijk! De cabana’s liggen in een prachtige tuin, zijn brandschoon en hebben een ruime badkamer met een fijne douche. Buiten is er een gezellig zitje om te ontspannen. Het ontbijt en avondeten waren allebei heerlijk. De gastheer en zijn vrouw zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en maken het verblijf extra speciaal. Onze kinderen wilden hier niet meer weg! Vraag de gastheer zeker naar de schildpadden, hij laat je de mooiste plekjes zien. Dit was zonder twijfel een van onze leukste verblijven tijdens 3,5 week Sri Lanka.

Asanka estubo muy atento en todo momento y nos llevo a ver las tortugas. Cerca tienes las playas salvajes.

No es muy céntrico y si quieres mucha calma y tranquilidad está muy bien. Nosotros alquilamos una moto y fué estupendo para moverse por las diferentes playas.

De locatie is mooi en rustig gelegen. We hebben schildpadden eieren zien leggen, schildpadden eten gegeven en net uit het ei gekomen schildpadjes naar zee zien trekken. De eigenaar en zoontje waren geweldige gidsen. Zijn vriendelijke vrouw heeft 2x een heerlijk diner verzorgd. De oceaan is ruig, niet de beste plein om te zwemmen maar je kunt er prachtige wandelingen maken en over rotsen lopen. Hier en daar is er n gelegenheid voor n drankje. Daar ben je een van de weinige toeristen. Heerlijk!

Lo mejor del alojamiento es su anfitrión Asanka. Nada más llegar nos llevó a la playa dónde había un macho adulto enorme, nos bañamos y lo pudimos tocar. Hay servicio de restaurante y ellos mismos preparan la cena, avisándolo previamente. Las cabañas son sencillas, pero espaciosas, limpias y unas camas muy cómodas con mosquiteras. El desayuno era una bandeja de frutas y unos pankakes buenísimos con café y té. Asanka nos acompañó por la noche a la playa para ver desovar las tortugas. Estuvo con nosotros casi 4h, sin cobrar nada por ello. Fue una experiencia increíble disfrutar nosotros 4 en exclusiva del desove y ver varias tortugas, y también tuvimos la suerte de ver el nacimiento de tortugas bebé y verlas atravesar la playa y llegar al mar. Mis hijas también disfrutaron en el alojamiento de las 2 perritas que tenían, muy cariñosas y educadas. Muchas gracias por todo Asanka, un placer!!!

Wat een prachtige plek! Echt een klein paradijsje wat de eigenaar zelf heeft gecreëerd op eigen terrein. Dit stuk land is al heel lang familie bezit en hij heeft er 3 Cabanas gebouwd en de 4 in aanbouw. Deze wordt helemaal van hout, vertelde hij. De inrichting en afwerking is werkelijk prachtig! Je waant je in een luxe resort. Ontbijt was heel uitgebreid en super vers met fruit uit eigen tuin. Dineren kan hier ook en is zeker een aanrader, want de gastvrouw kan heerlijk koken. De lekkerste kotthu van onze vakantie. De gastheer neemt ons mee naar een kleine baai waar een grote schildpad is gesignaleerd en heeft lang voor het centrum dat de schildpadden beschermd als vrijwilliger gewerkt. Hij neemt je dan ook graag ‘s avonds mee naar de schildpadden.

Niks! Wel 1 kakkerlak onder de douche gesignaleerd, maar dat hoort ook een beetje erbij als je midden in de natuur zit

Super séjour, les hôtes sont un couple très gentil. La cuisine est délicieuse. L' endroit.est très apaisant et très bien placé à 300 mètres de la plage. Grâce à eux on a pu voir une tortue dans l' eau et assister à la ponte d une tortue. Allez y les yeux fermés

The host and family were so welcoming and hospitable. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and show us around. The cabanas are modern and clean, with comfy beds and modern bathrooms. My two sons were kept entertained with the wildlife that roamed the jungle like backyard. The host's son was keen to show us the local beaches and made a fantastic guide for us. The homemade meals were tasty, fresh, and a good size. Everything was made on site and they were happy to oblige any dietary requirements if they were able to. We recommend this stunning little out-of-the-way jungle spot for those looking to escape to a quieter area. Also, Asanka, the main host, has helped with the Rewaka Turtle Watch for years and was happy to support us to observe turtles at night.

The cabana is located in beautiful garden with hammocks to chill. Great vibe when is dark. It’s situated within walking distance to the beach. The owners are really helpful and friendly. The host offered himself to go with us to watch turtles in the night. We also had laundry done without any charges. The breakfast was tasty. There was also possibility to order homemade food.

We had a lovely time staying at Turtle Watch Cabana. Our room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed our breakfasts cooked by Asanka and his wife every morning and enjoyed the one dinner we ate there. Asanka was very helpful and kind. He took us to a local turtle beach, organised kayaking on the lagoon and to top it off took us to see turtles nesting. We had an incredible experience staying here and would recommend it to anyone!! The beaches nearby are breathtaking, the cabanas are set in an amazing location.

Our stay at this amazing place, in a beautiful and really clean cabana near Rekawa beach was simply unforgettable! We traveled as a family with teen children, and from the very first moment, we felt like part of the local family. The hosts Asanka and his wife Ridmi were incredibly friendly, caring, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The atmosphere was so warm and authentic, making us feel like we were visiting relatives rather than staying at accommodation. My children quickly made new friends, especially with their son Premu who spent time with us and showed us so many local things. He is such a free spirit and we all miss him a lot 🫶. We enjoyed the peace, beautiful jungle garden and delicious homemade food so much that we prolonged our 2 night stay for another night and after our check out and moving to another beach accomodation along the coast we had decided we wanted to spend our last two nights at our cabana again and we had come back again 🙈. Asanka was there for us willing to help at any time and Ridmi makes these beautiful sarongs 🪡. If you're looking for a quiet place where you’ll feel at home, surrounded by wonderful people and genuine Sri Lankan hospitality, this is the perfect choice! The beautiful beach is cca 5 minutes walk, with nearly no tourists, you can either enjoy waves or a natural rock pool. Thank you for the amazing memories – we will definitely be back! 🫶🇱🇰

Everything was just perfect for us.

Great location away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was great and very friendly hosts. We had some animal trying to eat inside the roof one night which was noisy but only lasted a little time and apart from that slept great. Great restaurants and beaches within walking distance

Lovely huts with full of character Very clean, comfy beds, Nicely maintained gardens. Short walk to lovely beach. Owner took us on a night time hike to watch the turtles laying their eggs. So pleased that he was conscious of not disturbing them. No phone lights allowed only the red light he had for us to see them. And keeping a respectful distance. What an amazing experience. Thank you.

Beautiful setting. The owner has taken great care to create a natural environment. It’s very peaceful & relaxing. The room was practical, clean & spacious. Great to have a fridge & kettle (bring your own tea bags). Near stunning beaches with nice little eating/drinking places. Watch the turtles being tossed in the surf. Our favourite place so far in our trip. Asanka was extremely helpful in arranging kayak hire for the lagoon & turtle viewings etc. If you like to be away from the hustle & bustle choose Rekawa & Turtle Watch Cabana. Try out La Sera for delicious authentic food.

I was extremely shocked on arrival at this property. 2 staff took our bags with no smile nor hello and showed us to our room. Then walked off and brang us a smoothie each with no communication. We sat awaiting check in or for a greeting from the owner Asanka who we'd read great reviews about. After a while my partner went up to the staff to ask and turns out one of the staff was Asanka himself. My partner asked where the beach was and just got pointed in the right direction in a cold manner. We ended up struggling to find it initially. During meals when we said thank you or asked for something he was very straight faced and cold. We had previously sent a message via Booking.com and via the contact number on the booking details to request dinner but this wasn't received as apparently Asanka doesn't have access to Booking.com and the number is for someone else? Dinner of rice and currys looked good but was not flavourful. The place is NOT beachfront as advertised you have to walk to a small beach that is available and the main beach is further. We went on the turtle watch and Asanka kept leaving us for over 10 minutes at a time without really explaining what was going on. We ended up sat on the beach 2.5 hours. You can't help mother nature as unfortunately the sand was to dry for them to dig. You can only see the nests after they have laid eggs which can take over 2 hours from them starting to dig holes. So you could be on the beach a long time as you start the watch at 8pm. We tried to engage in conversation but found the whole atmosphere of the place unpleasant and unwelcoming. I want to leave straight after arriving due to this and this advertising but we chose to stay due not wanting any hassle. The water did run out but we mentioned this and they put another supply on straight away and it started working with 5 minutes.

A wonderful stay away from hustle and bustle, close to a small uncrowded beach. Our host was very friendly and helpful and took time to show us turtles on the nearby protected beach.

Lovely rustic cabana in the garden of owners house. Very comfortable bed. Wonderful location with stunning beach 5 minutes walk away. Beautiful lagoons nearby if you like bird watching. Several restaurants within 5-15 minutes walk. Not that you need them as lovely home cooked dinners are available on request. For me, best bit was being taken by Asanka to see turtles. In fact one night he took me out twice as he knew I was so keen to see them. Saw Green and Olive Ridley turtles laying eggs, whilst there were fireflies in the palm trees. Wow ! Unforgettable experience. Highlight of my 5 week Sri Lanka trip. Thank you so much Asanka.
