A tranquil space away from the city. Johan is great. Did us a breakfast to take away on our last day as we had to leave early. Breakfast faultless. Must visit the windmill nearby so informative and lovely people

Absolutely amazing stay at Morpheus B&B. Met by Johan and Tiba (his dog). Shown around the houseboat, asked about breakfast then was guided on how to get to the local tram station, top service. Houseboat is located on a canal that was quite busy (the hot weather bringing out boat users) but wasn't noisy at all. Our room has air conditioning, large doors onto a deck outside, comfy bed and a huge TV for catching up on the UK news before adventuring for the day in beautiful Amsterdam. Breakfast basket in the morning was delivered just outside the room with fresh fruit juice, breads, eggs, cheesecake and fresh fruits

Perfekte Unterkunft für einen Städte Tripp, und man ist auch schnell in der Umgebung von Amsterdam. Die Tram ist zu Fuß in 15 Minuten erreichbar und fährt direkt ins Zentrum. Der Gastgeber ist besonders nett und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr bequem direkt am Kanal und das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

My stay was excellent! I came from a conference, which was held in Maastricht and arrived around 5 pm. I was so impressed of the room and view on the channel so I decided to stay there and enjoy the view an entire evening. It was so spectacular to watch the ducks and to enjoy the sunset. I took the bath inside the room and it was an unique experience. I slept so deep and so long like not sing the last months. In the morning Johann (the owner) surprised me with a rich and delicious breakfast- so many tasty things, including an entire bottle of the freshly pressed orange juice and an entire bottle of milk. Several types of bread, a lot of butter, salami, Greek yoghurt, eggs and on the next day, the omelette. The room facilities were enough and all was new. Microwave and also a refrigerator. Very nice bathroom. I sincerely thank the host. I recoveried there in my short stay (slept enough and ate delicious breakfast).

Très bien situé à moins de 15 minutes à pied du tramway. Il faut 45 minutes pour atteindre le centre d'Amsterdam. Stationnement gratuit à proximité. Terrasse sur l'eau très agréable. La chambre est très bien équipée avec un lit confortable. Le petit déjeuner copieux est apporté à l'heure souhaitée.

Petite précision pour les personnes qui souhaitent dormir dans l'obscurité, prévoir un masque de sommeil.

Dépaysement garanti, calme et sérénité. La chambre au bord de l eau est vraiment formidable. Un super séjour, les hôtes sont très agréables dt sympathiques. Leur petit déjeuner est au top , très copieux . Le cadre est idéal

Place have amazing vibe and so nice interior with the stile, we really fell great welcome and relax there .All recommendations for the host and the place. Die Unterkunft ist mit viel Liebe und Charme gestaltet. Viel Liebe zum Detail. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Frühstück war sehr liebevoll hergerichtet und reichlich. Das Obst war schon mundgerecht geschnitten und es gab jeden Morgen einen kleinen frischgebackenen Kuchen. Diese Unterkunft ist sehr zuempfehlen.

Es ist eine wundervolle Unterkunft . Die Besitzer sind sehr höflich ,nett und zuvorkommend . Bei Fragen wird sofort ausgeholfen. Das Frühstück ist einfach hervorragend ,ob süß oder herzlich es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Der Weg zum Zentrum ist leicht zu erreichen im dem man sehr viele schöne Museen und andere Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigen kann. Ich kann jedem sowohl die Unterkunft als auch die Stadt wärmstens empfehlen🙂

Le lieu est magnifique, le jardin est superbement aménagé avec son bassin de carpes koi. La chambre était spacieuse et le balcon/ponton un plus très agréable et apaisant. L’hôte est une personne superbe, très gentil disponible et chaleureux.

Johan ist so ein toller Gastgeber. Wir haben uns super wohl gefühlt. Innerhalb von 15 min ist man zu Fuß bei der S Bahn mit der man in die Stadt fahren kann oder beim Supermarkt. Das Frühstück ist unglaublich liebevoll angerichtet. Wir kommen im Sommer wieder. Haben direkt nochmal gebucht.

So wohl haben wir uns lange nicht gefühlt, alles perfekt und für einen Städtetrip in Amsterdam ideal. Besser geht nicht!!

Von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute ein wundervoller Aufenthalt! Johan ist mehr als gastfreundlich - das Hausboot erfasst einen direkt mit seinem Charme. Überall Details, man spürt förmlich die Hingabe für diese Unterkunft. Besonders hervorzuheben sind das bequeme Bett und die Kissen und das Frühstück!! Letzteres lässt keine Wünsche offen und ist ebenso detailverliebt, wie die Unterkunft. Danke Johan - wir kommen wieder!!

En veldig hyggelig vert ønsket meg velkommen og rommet jeg fikk var ganske lik det jeg fikk inntrykk av under bookingen. Et koselig sted rett og slett, en god seng og et badekar i rommet passet meg utmerket. Jeg likte frokosten som var tilberedt av verten, Johan, og beliggenhet "på kanalen".

Nesten urettferdig å nevne "lyder" her, man jo befinner seg jo tross alt i byen med trafikk på veiene og en flyplass i nærheten. Er nok bare jeg som er bortskjemt fra bygda. ;-)

Johan jest niesamowitym gospodarzem. Dba o gości doskonale i jednocześnie bardzo dyskretnie. Jego śniadania są już legendarne - różnorodne, obfite i przygotowane z troską o potrzeby gości. Pokój wygodny i komfortowy, świetna lokalizacja i przyjemny widok z tarasu nad kanałem - można tam siedzieć godzinami, spoglądać na życie toczące się dookoła i łapać spokój i relaks.

Cama muy cómoda, buena WiFi y la experiencia de quedarte en una casa barco. Despertar y ver el río y la tranquilidad del barrio. Desayuno abundante y con opciones saladas y dulces. Tener cafetera, hervidor de agua y nevera en la habitación es un plus.

Algo difícil de encontrar cuando llegas. Bastante alejada del centro, aunque conectada por tranvia caminando 15 minutos y con parada de bus con el aeropuerto al lado.

This property is absolutely breath taking, from the canal side balcony to the surrounding neighbourhood. We spent our mornings relaxing on our balcony surrounded by ducks and passing boats. Johan and Tiba are amazing hosts and provided us with top tier service! Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning, including pastries, spreads, fruits, meats and eggs. Fresh towels and bedding were provided when needed and Johan was around 24/7 for all of our needs. The location of this property is great. With transport to Amsterdam centre being around 30 minutes, this includes the 195 bus and the 17 or 2 tram. Both bus and tram were always on time, quiet and easy to navigate. I have been to Amsterdam many times and this location has to be my favourite, nice and quiet away from the crowds and noise of the centre! Would 100% stay again! Thank you Johan and Tiba.

Prachtige plek! En de eigenaar is iemand waar je je meteen thuis voelt De vrijheid van thuis. Lekker en prima ontbijt. Kwartiertje lopen tot tramhalte en je ben van daar met een half uurtje op centraal station. Je zit lekker aan/op het water, bootjes kijken en een praatje maken. Kamer bevat alles wat je nodig hebt! Wij komem graag nog een keer terug!

Waren een paar puntjes die al besproken zijn en opgelost. 1 ding waar je weinig aan kan doen.. de vliegtuigen vanaf Schiphol..

Ein sehr sauberes Zimmer in einzigartiger Lage direkt am Wasser. Das liebevoll zubereitete, unglaublich vielfältige Frühstück im Körbchen war ein echtes Highlight. Auch die Parksituation war ideal – wir konnten unser Auto direkt gegenüber abstellen und hatten es stets im Blick.

Der Eingangsbereich machte einen etwas ungepflegten Eindruck – der Teich war stark verschmutzt, darin trieben sogar tote Krebse, was uns besonders leidtat für die schönen Kois, die in dem vergilbten Wasser lebten. Auch der Zugang zum Zimmer über einen älteren Holzsteg wirkte wackelig, morsch und deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lage ist für Ausflüge ins Zentrum von Amsterdam mit der ÖV etwas ungünstig, da hauptsächlich der Bus 195 dorthin fährt – für diesen wird allerdings ein separates Ticket benötigt. Empfehlenswert ist das „Amsterdam Travel Ticket“ (ca. 18 Euro pro Tag), mit dem man alle öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen kann: Sprinter, Bus (inkl. Linie 195), Tram und Metro. Das Ticket kann z. B. über discoverholland.com gekauft werden – wichtig zu wissen: Es handelt sich nicht um eine digitale Lösung mit QR-Code. Das online gekaufte Ticket muss physisch an einer bedienten Verkaufsstelle (z. B. an einem Bahnhof) eingelöst werden. Dort erhält man eine Fahrkarte im Kartenformat, die dann für alle öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel genutzt werden kann. Gerade wegen der verschiedenen Anbieter (z. B. Buslinie 195, Sprinter, Metro, Tram) wäre eine kurze, verständliche Broschüre im Zimmer sehr hilfreich gewesen – mit einem Überblick über das Verkehrsnetz in und um Amsterdam. Das hätte den Einstieg deutlich erleichtert und einiges an Verwirrung erspart

The houseboat and surroundings are the definition of peaceful, slow living, but with all the modern amenities. If there was a god of breakfasts, this would be Johann, an incredibly kind host, who will make you feel special and welcomed, together with his friendly dog. His picnic baskets are out of this world delicious. Beauty is in the details and you'll see that for yourself at Morpheus. The canal is lively with birds and boats, plus the most amazing sunsets. Getting to Amsterdam for sightseeing is easy via bus and metro. Would love to come back again some day. Thank you, Johann for the hospitality and stories.

It’s an awesome and relaxed place! Just everything you need. Johan is a lovely guy and makes your stay to a great experience.

There is nothing to complain.

The apartment has a private terrace directly on the canal, which is a perfect place to enjoy breakfast. The host lives in his own apartment next door and brings a fantastic breakfast every morning - a true breakfast buffet in a basket! He's very welcoming and always willing to provide clean glasses, plates etc. if you want to eat other meals (there's a fridge and a microwave, but no kitchen equipment at all, so it's only suitable for ready-made supermarket food). The bed was extremely comfortable (nice and soft) and the location is quiet, so we always slept well.

It takes about an hour to get into Amsterdam city center. However, the journey is easy: a very peaceful 20-minute walk to the tram stop, and the trams are frequent.

Amazing. The host is everything you want, the breakfast was amazing, the facilities were perfect, the view was stunning. We will be back.

The accommodation was perfect, Mr Johan was very helpful and accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Everything was done in a relaxed atmosphere and the accommodation exceeded our expectations many times over. Travel from the centre by simple tram no 2 approx 13 minutes walk from the accommodation through beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend

The interior was beautifully and artfully decorated, it was a joy coming in to the room and waking up to it. You're right over the water and the birds, water, and trees are super relaxing. The included breakfast was so filling and varied, and the host was amazing! 10/10 recommend staying there.

It was about a 15-minute walk from a tram stop to the house. It wasn't too far away but at night, it felt endless when all we wanted to do was sleep 😅 it is relatively well-connected though, with the tram stop.

The staff member who received our call was amazing; he was helpful and kind. I called him to inform him that our flight was canceled and we couldn't come to the hotel.

Johan was such an enthusiastic and helpful host. Loved the size of the room, the decor of the room and the outlook was wonderful. We felt like we were on the edge of the countryside while being very close to the city highlights.

It was the second time we were guests at Johan’s place. Johan is the best host possible and Morpheus is what you are looking for when staying in Amsterdam.

Breakfast in pick nick suitcase was extraordinary and with a large variety every day. Bed is of highest standard. It is a floating house with a very nice platform in front looking to the channel. Normally price of this B&B if booked directly is fair. However booking price which I paid in advance for 3 nights was more than 30% higher!

Never take bus 195 to reach this B&B. It runs all 30 min only and is expensive as it is the airport bus. Google directs you with preference to this bus. Better to take tram 2 from Centraal to Sloten and vice versa. This requires a 15 min walk through nice village of Sloten.

We liked everything! Starting from the hospitality of the host, ending with the amazing atmosphere that reigns in this place. The breakfast was just wonderful! We had been worried about the location of the housing, but there were excellent transport links, so in half an hour we got from the city center by tram without any problems.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this charming boat house in Amsterdam. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene and picturesque setting. Waking up to the friendly ducks paddling by every day was such a delightful sight! The boat house itself was simply delightful, with its terrace offering stunning canal views. We loved spending time in the cozy seating area, sipping coffee from the provided coffee machine. The highlight of each morning was the delicious breakfast served in a charming picnic-style basket. The variety and creativity of the breakfast items made it an exciting surprise each day. The best part? Enjoying our breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the scenic canal - it was like a dream come true. The convenience of having supermarkets nearby was a big plus, and we couldn't resist treating ourselves to some mouthwatering ice cream from the excellent ice cream shop just a stone's throw away. Additionally, the windmill museum added a touch of history and culture to our Amsterdam experience. The overall ambiance of the boat house, the warm hospitality, and the wonderful amenities made this stay truly memorable. We are grateful for such a unique and unforgettable vacation.
