Not well cleaned. Shabby and well used. Floor worn, couch uncomfortable and worn. Blinds don't open. Black mould on ceiling and in the shower. Apartment block being built next door so very noisy.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026Stayed here the night before heading to the airport. One of the most relaxing stays of my two week trip in South Africa and Namibia. Was great to be able to leave the car and have so many options for food and drink just a few blocks walking away. Breakfast, the bed, water, biscuits and toiletries very appreciated. We even got to spend time with Fluffy the very friendly house cat. Defiantly recommended! Sue was lovely.

Reviewed Jan 26, 2026Location is good. Close to aiport and other main city attractions. A few restaurants and a small coffee shop within walking distance. Area is peaceful and room was comfortable. Sue helped me with my suitcase as there are a few stairs and breakfast was healthy and tasty!
The carpet in the room needs to replaced at it smells a bit. When lying in bed I could smell it, but the room doesn´t smell.

Room has rusks, tea, coffee, milk and water. Owner is a lovely lady who wasn't in our face but visible enough incase we needed anything. She recommended dinner places. This is a hidden jam ... I took videos and it showed the place better.

Reviewed Dec 5, 2025- Das Zimmer war alles in allem sauber und aufgeräumt. Die Bettlagen waren frisch und haben gut gerochen. - Die Lage der Unterkunft innerhalb von Kapstadt ist gut zu erreichen. - Wir konnten unser Mietauto unter einem Carport parken. - Das Frühstück war zeitlich flexibel und wurde einfach vor die Tür gestellt.
- Die Unterkunft ist schwer zu finden, weil es von außen kein Schild gibt oder es anders identifizierbar werden kann. - Wir waren zwar etwas früh (30 Minuten vor Check-In) dort aber das Ankommen war ziemlich kalt. Wir hatten nicht so wirklich das Gefühl, dass wir Willkommen sind oder wir erwartet werden. - Die Anordnung des Zimmers ist etwas ungünstig. Der Tisch auf dem man frühstückt ist sehr im Weg mit wenig Platz. Die Dusch- und Badtür stören sich mit den Badevorlegern. - Die Fenster wurden während der Saison beim Reinigen des Zimmers geöffnet, wodurch wir eine Kakerlake im Zimmer hatten. - Das Frühstück war ziemlich klein (Granola + Joghurt und Kaffee) so dass wir extra Dinge kaufen mussten.

Reviewed Nov 13, 2025This was my second time staying here, and it was just as peaceful as the first. The host was very attentive and always made sure everything was replenished when needed. During my stay, I accidentally broke a cup, and she was incredibly understanding and kind about the situation — I really appreciated her calm energy and great communication throughout. Breakfast was lovely — light and fresh fruit and yogurt. The place was clean, the shower was great, and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, it was another relaxing and peaceful stay. Highly recommend!

The peaceful garden outside our door, with birds singing, made it a truly relaxing space. The hostess, Sue, was incredibly kind and helpful, which made the stay feel very welcoming. The breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. The location was convenient and easy to access, yet still quiet and tranquil.
Honestly, there was very little not to like. Sue was flexible with breakfast time, and this was very helpful. If we needed anything else, we just needed to ask - but everything was adequate. Overall, everything was excellent.

Reviewed Sep 29, 2025I had the most wonderful stay at Elton. The apartment was beautiful and neat and had absolutely everything that you would need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Mention must be made regarding the special touches by the host such as bottled water on the bedside table with a little welcoming chocolate and the selection of sachet coffee and teas to accompany the rusks provided. I was especially grateful for the lovely fruit breakfast and filter coffee provided by Sue. Thank you Sue for being such a lovely host.

All well thought out. So much appreciated. Close to amenities ( and hospital where I had to have an op. ) Lovely garden to enjoy the birds.
