It is like an oasis in the heart of New Delhi! So calm and beautiful. The staff are so kind and friendly, the food is delicious, and we loved the swimming pool too! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
A welcoming and comfortable place to stay. Great to have a friendly, homely atmosphere rather than the impersonal feel of a big hotel. Beautiful gardens and a fantastic location.
Lovely location and grounds. Loved the dogs and cats
Staff kept knocking on the door while I was trying to sleep after an overnight flight even after I told them I was sleeping. Later when I left for dinner they entered the room without my consent (removing the dehumidifier from my room during monsoon). Room was a little tired.
Beautiful property. Pool was great. Area is the best place to stay in Delhi for a god nights sleep . The family who has owned this since 50,s or 60’s has outstanding warmth and generosity of spirit .
Fantastic location. Loved the pool. Felt like family as soon as we arrived.
I can see why people like this - an old large compound in Delhi with one main house and then rooms in the garden. It is owned by a family who live there and it feels like their home.
Honestly, we found the atmosphere quite difficult - the matriarch sits at a table and henpecks and undermines her staff - it was really uncomfortable to witness. Her daughter was kind and helpful but this feels like a dysfunctional family business masquerading as a hotel. The buildings and grounds are falling apart and the swimming pool is livid green. Perhaps this is part of the charm? I wish everyone well but we will not return.
Excellent location, 500 metres walking from Lodhi garden in the prime area of delhi
An absolute 10/10 stay for our family of 3! Price-wise, it is on par with top-tier modern hotels, but it is 10,000 times better. It has so much warmth and character, beautiful gardens, and personal service that you simply don't get at a cold, corporate hotel. The location is ideal—close to Safdarjung Tomb, Lodhi Gardens, Karol Bagh, and Humayun's Tomb, and convenient for trips to Qutub Minar or Kahn Market together with Green park! It's the perfect peaceful place before tackling Old Delhi (6–7 miles away). Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, and the pool hours (6 AM to late) are great. Breakfast is customized to your taste. Exceptional for the location, peace, and personal care. .
Nothing negative, but keep in mind that dinner on-site is fixed home-style vegetarian cooking.
Location was right in the center of the delhi. close to metro. All green
many mosquitoes in the property
Beautiful little calm oasis in the hustle and bustle of Delhi. Delicious homemade dinners available.
rustige locatie in Delhi.
The place is very beautiful and I will definitely come again.
Loved the lush garden, swimming pool, outdoor breakfasts and family home feel.
We were very comfortable here
A perfect and quiet place to stay in hectic Delhi. Really welcoming staff, good breakfast and dinner.
The place was really nice, with a beautiful garden and pool area. The room was small and outdated, but comfortable. Very nice owner and the staff, cosy dogs.
Poor breakfast, but ok. Location a bit far from everything. You need transportation to all the places.
Heerlijke plek om te landen in Delhi. Een oase. Fijne kamers, lekker zwembad, fijn ontbijt. En fantastische gastvrouwen. Het is een familiehuis. Je waant je thuis.
Alles was heerlijk.
I appreciated the air purifier in my room. It was also a pleasure to speak with Mrs. Nath, who is really the soul of this estate.
We wish the room had been better prepared for our arrival.
I loved the setting, the garden, the pool, the dogs & the cats & the family that run the place, as well as all the helpful & obliging staff! I enjoyed the food too 😀
I was well looked after
Bon emplacement - Personnel disponible et courtois - chambre spacieuse
Location
Absolutely not worth the cost-rooms were super tiny-hardly 10 ft by 10 ft. Garden etc were superb but one pays for room primarily ! It’s not a hotel at all-it’s sort of airbnb only. Food was just ok and service in dining area was also just ok. In Rs7500/- we get pretty decent Airbnb with lots of space and amenities.
The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The swimming pool was a great relief in the Delhi heat. The cats and dogs on site were very friendly, especially Maple who was so sweet. Also loved the garden!
Lutyens Bungalow is one of the best places I’ve stayed in my life. Lovely staff, welcoming atmosphere, it couldn’t have been better. They even had two dogs and a cat, a swimming pool and jack fruit. Homemade meals, fresh! An oasis of calm and care in a bustling world.
The staff were very helpful and consistently friendly, the room was clean and well maintained, and the stay was very comfortable throughout (being alone). Communication was excellent; a proper invoice was sent instantly by email upon request. Overall, a very pleasant experience and the hotel is recommended, thank you very much!
Located in Lutyens’ Delhi. Beautiful peaceful location
Colonial feel, welcoming host and friendly staff
Mrs Nath, the owner of the property and her kind and gracious daughters who run the show. They make me feel at home
Everything
LEAVING
Location, ambience , home away from home feeling
My room could have been a tad larger
If you look for a family-style guesthouse, it’s your place to stay. Cosy and lovely with a certain nice touch with the garden area!
Don’t expect high class hotel standard.
Nichts
Very courteous and friendly service. Homely food.
The location is fantastic and the hosts our quite friendly. Expect a homely environment in the common area with the friendly hosts keen to get to know you well.
The pet dogs on the property were friendly but their barking at night disturbed sleep. There is also a basketball court on the property, which is fine except that someone was playing there at about 10pm, causing thudding that again was a bit disturbing and broke my sleep.
Fantastic location - really nice host and excellent cook who made really really good breakfast and dinner for us.
The rooms and bathrooms were old and weren’t very clean.
Man trifft dort viele interessante Menschen unterschiedlicher Nationalitäten.
Run down old home, cute space,
It’s not a hotel. The room is just that. It’s tiny. Amongst 4-5 more in an outhouse or stable. Very expensive for a “cute” hostel like place.
A very relaxed atmosphere in the heart of a very busy city, it felt a world away from the hustle and bustle outside the grounds. Beautiful gardens, cooking swimming pool, wonderful hosts and staff. As a single traveller the communal dinner table was a great place fire a good conversation after seeing the sights on my own.
Nothing to say here.
Sentirsi come a casa Il giardino La struttura e i mobili anni Trenta
Lovely and quaint. Homely.
Lutyens Bunglow is a hidden gem in Delhi. Great location, lovely property and exceptional service. Highly recommended.
Perfect oasis in Delhi’s chaos. The gracious hosts have crafted the perfect bed and breakfast experience over half a century, and it is curated as an antidote to the noise, fumes, disorder and unpredictable nature of the Capital. The breakfast and dinner are wholesome, plentiful and set you up for your day. The dogs are fabulous company, and the gardens and birds and pool allow for a restorative retreat as much as a personal bolt-hole for any business trip or holiday. Few places like this exist, but I’m incredibly glad I found it.
It’s really peaceful for Delhi like a little sanctuary in the city and it’s run by a lovely caring family
The location is amazing, the property has old world charm. Very green and well maintained. But most of all, the family - we loved the hosts ! Absolutely the best part of the stay is getting to meet Shukla Nath ji and her beautiful two daughters & the adorable dogs - Mocha and Maple !
The place is pretty and it’s very pleasant to have a quite and calm place in Dehli.
Way too expensive for the quality
It’s simply of my favorite places I have ever stayed at. Everything is just great.
Everything
Nothing
The hosts were very friendly and personable. Dinner was an extra charge and very worthwhile as the hosts cooked and I ate together with the other guests which was very nice.
Everything was good
The location is great, as well as, the friendly and familiar atmosphere. They accommodated our request and were always ready to assist us.
Some of the electrical sockets don’t properly work and internet connections was below my expectations.
New Delhi, a park next to it, delicious food, exactly as promised in Booking. (In other accommodations in India it wasn’t….)
Great location in Central Delhi, close to Khan Market and India Gate. Room was basic but had all the necessary amenties. Host is responsive.
Water ran out at midnight and thankfully there was help on site, but these issues are very disruptive. The house also looks nicer in the pictures, there was some construction happening when I booked. The payment wasn't taken through Booking.com but through an external service.
Everything! The hosts, the food. The dogs. The location!
The property is fantastic. Centrally located.
Rooms were cool and clean. The pool was so refreshing. Garden is beautiful. All staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Everything was perfect
