Das Pferd der Besitzer steht vollkommen allein. Pferde sind Herdentiere. Für eine artgerechte Haltung ist zumindest ein anderes Pferd oder Pony zwingend erforderlich!

Claire and her hard working team cared very deeply for us during our stay recently.. Breakfast every morning was lovingly prepared and Claire always remembered what you liked.. The BnB is in the best location to explore the coast and even venture further afield to Waterford, and Kilkenny

Claire was an absolutely lovely host, she helped us to make dinner arrangements at a wonderful restaurant right up the road. The house overlooks the water and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch taking in the view. The house was beautifully decorated with antiques in every space. Overall we had a wonderful experience, and Claire even let us pet her two adorable Corgis.

Bestes B&B in Irland. Die Räume sind unglaublich. Ob Schlafzimmer, Essensraum oder Salon. Ausstattung wie in einem Museum. Alt, aber mit Stil. Und absolut hochwertig. Wer hier in der Nähe ist sollte dieses B& B buchen. Mehr als 10 Punkte wert. Wir sind das 5 x in Irland. Das war das beste B&B das wir je hatten. Toll.

Ein sehr schönes Haus mit Charmes, fast ein Museum. Schöne Terrasse mit Meerblick, auf der wir abends gerne picknickten. Sehr ruhig. Nette Wirtsleute. Das Frühstück war so ausgiebig, dass wir an dem Tag nichts mehr brauchten.

Great location right across from the water and right in town. The host and service were great. The room was wonderful. We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time. The breakfasts were fantastic and filled us up until dinner! The host was lovely and very helpful with local information and suggestions for sights and beaches to visit.

Sehr herzlich und freundliche Gastgeber, in ihrem Haus spürt man Musik, es ist sehr entspannt und auf dem Balkon wow .. und beim Duschen hat man einen Blick aufs Meer ... es ist wundervoll !!! Das Frühstück ein Traum und wir fühlten uns sehr wohl, wären gerne noch geblieben - wir kommen wieder - spazierengehen, Leuchturm Hook...

Exceptionally comfortable and beautifully dressed bedroom with excellent bathroom ( shower). Fascinating collection of period furniture, antiques and decorative features make this a unique place to stay. The location, overlooking the bay and wide expanse of the Waterford waterway is fascinating. Arthurstown village ( a short drive from the Kings Passage Ferry), is historic and offers a great opportunity for evening meals in the Kings Bay Inn. Clare takes the greatest care to make sure all her guests are comfortable and well sustained for the day with her scrumptious Irish breakfasts.

Nous avons passé deux jours au Marsh Mere lodge dans le cadre de notre voyage en Irlande . Non seulement nous avons été très bien accueillis mais le lieu est magnifique, plein de charme et avec une vue exceptionnelle. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et très copieux! Bref, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Claire en Vincent zijn fantastische, gastvrije mensen. Niets is teveel en ze zijn goed gezelschap. Op een mooie zomeravond kregen we zelfs een kaasplankje aangeboden. Ontbijt was voortreffelijk met zeer veel keuze en vers gemaakt. Kamer was netjes en ruim. De B&B is heel mooi en authentiek ingericht, zonder saai te zijn. De locatie is heel mooi met uitzicht op de baai en een mogelijkheid om op de veranda te genieten van de (avond)zon.

Colazione varia e abbondante; la proprietaria gentile e accogliente e con utili suggerimenti. Non ho mai dato un giudizio così alto ed esaltante; questa volta si perchè abbiamo soggiornato un un b&b oltre le nostre aspettative e con un prezzo corretto.

Everything about Marsh Mere Lodge, including its owner, Claire, is absolutely amazing. A beautifully furnished and decorated house on a curved road overlooking the bay , with a good pub just a short walk away. Claire is keenly interested in her guests’ comfort, and she’s quick with a story or a joke. And the breakfast was fantastic. We adore this place.!

There’s nothing not to like about Marsh Mere Lodge, but mind your head if you’re taller than 6 feet — the ceilings are low!

De B&B is Victoriaans ingericht. De gastvrouw is ontzettend vriendelijk. De slaapkamers zijn ruim en aan het (Ierse) ontbijt ontbreekt niets. Wij hebben fantastisch genoten.

Our biggest hiccup with the property was the amount of “stuff” and decor everywhere. Very busy and just not our preference. It had a lovely nostalgic feel, like going to grandma’s house back in the (1970s? 1980s? 1940s? 1910?). But in making the theme it meant there was stuff everywhere. In our room, every horizontal surface had decor on it and that made it hard to work on our computers, lay out our suitcases, or sit down on something other than the bed. I did not shower there because the shower was a small stall. I think we would have enjoyed it more if we’d had time to enjoy the area and been there on a day/time the tide was in. As it was, we drove a long way out of our way to stay “seaside” for a night and ended up not spending any time actually seeing the sea.

Claire was a delight, and she and Janet whipped up a superb Irish Breakfast for the four of us.

The only downside was that there are not outlets readily available on both sides of the bed. We charge our devices overnight (using our phones as clocks, for example) - so this was a SLIGHT drawback...

Die Gastgeberin hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Sie hat uns das Zimmer gezeigt und den Aufenthaltsraum im OG. Die liebevolle und einzigartige Einrichtung war unglaublich. Man fühlt sich in eine andere Zeitepoche zurückversetzt. Es war grandios so viele tolle Gegenstände, museumshaft, sehen und darin leben du können. Die Gastgeberin ist eine liebenswürdige Dame, mit welcher wir uns sehr gerne unterhalten haben. Das Zimmer ist mit allem notwendigen ausgestattet und liebevoll dekoriert uund sauber. Das Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet und ist traumhaft, sehr lecker und viel zu viel….. Die Lage mit Meersicht ist traumhaft!! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. DANKE
