Lovely staff, garden was very peaceful, residents bar and lounge was nice touch
Loved the Calm Country house atmosphere and 'in grounds' local pub with separate menu. Excellent Staff - would highly recommend.
Perhaps a little more choice for the vegetarians in the pub. But not a problem - just a wish.
We booked the chalet as it worked out better value than the rooms for 4 of us. However it seemed much darker than on the photos. It was comfortable and nicely furnished with very comfortable beds, just a bit gloomy on the outside area as a lot of trees have grown round it since the photos were taken. The hotel itself was beautiful, I would stay in the main house if revisiting.
When we arrived there were several large spiders and spider webs in the chalet. We got staff to clean them up but we had to clean more away during our stay.
It was very peaceful, bedroom, dining room and bar areas were lovely. Senior Staff including Catherine the owner were incredibly lovely and friendly
The junior staff didn’t quite hit the mark unfortunately. They did their best but we waited almost 30 minutes for a cocktail and then over 20 minutes for a tea at breakfast the next day. They were doing their best but an acknowledgment of the delay would have been nice.
Deserts
Where do I start, musty smell in cabin, stayed 3 nights no fresh towels. Limited menu with staff measuring wine by the mill or getting charged €15 for a pot of tea and slice toast. Seemingly no one eats fruit scones in Wexford
Staff were great.
Couldn't get the TV to work
The house was outstanding, the room was great, with a beautiful garden view, the staff were brilliant and the atmosphere and food were out of this world.
Country house luxury. Beautiful house and grounds. Perfect location to escape for a weekend. Excellent service and attention to detail.
A stunning and tranquil country house retreat that transports you to a glacial pace of life, complemented by excellent food, attentive service and an atmosphere of complete relaxation.
Very little to dislike.
Peaceful location. Clean spacious room.Staff helpful and friendly .Food excellent.
No air conditioning in bedroom
Beautiful property and grounds. The staff were so friendly , attentive and very professional. Felt like we were Royalty.
Schloss-Ambiente.
Hotel is beautifully decorated with a lovely garden area. Food and cocktails delicious, friendly staff.
Mattress could have been better and information on the website needs to be updated.
Beautiful location, hotel looks better in person than in photos, staff were incredibly friendly & helpful. Food was fabulous. Great experience.
Room description said balcony or terrace, we had neither. An armchair would have been great for reading at the table. A lot of stairs to climb, but unique room. No screens on bathroom windows.
Rooms were lovely. Food was beautiful. It was a wet miserable day but they had the fires lighting so created a lovely cosy ambience. . We were there for a small little celebration...our wedding, and we were given a complimentary glass of champagne and a lovely little plate of desserts. The staff were very friendly. The Local pub next door is lovely and the man running it couldnt be nicer. The grounds are beautiful. All in all it's a lovely place to go especially for an occasion.
Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Beautiful place to stay with lots of choice for meals.
Beautiful hotel, really lovely food, very comfy beds and extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Our room was lovely and the cocktails were excellent
I feel like the hotel was understaffed. We had to search for someone to check us in and again to get someone to go behind the bar and make us a coffee. We then paid to get breakfast which was 25 euro. For the continental part of the breakfast, it was not a buffet. We had to order everything from the table. We asked for a couple of different things and it seemed an ordeal to bring them out. The staff would bring one item and forget the next. In reality we paid 15 euro each for yogurt and a bowl of fruit. We were waiting for everything else. There was no water for the table. I felt it was like the staff were trying their best to give out as little food as possible. We then paid an extra 10 euro for the cooked part of the breakfast which was decent.
Peaceful location with a lovely cliff walk to Arthurstown. Beautiful old hotel. Food was excellent. Staff so helpful.
N/A
The pub on the grounds was very disappointing for our meal..the pork chop was like a grilled slice of bacon and the fish was curled up like an onion ring..
Lovely peaceful stay .Very welcoming and friendly staff. Good choice for dinner between both menus . Breakfast excellent . Really enjoyed our visit to the Local Pub and its very friendly landlord.
Our bed had a loose headboard which was very annoying .We asked to have it looked at when we were going for drinks before dinner. It was looked at but to no satisfaction….
Beautiful setting with very nice staff
Breakfast cost was a little high vis a vis the accommodation standard/cost - would have been better to have some kind of breakfast bap type offering for residents of chalet.
Excellent location Beautiful grounds Comfy bed
Tv outdated Lack of nice treats in bedroom Lack of welcome in local
It was quiet, decorated nicely, well presented. Warm and comfortable beds. Gardens were beautiful.
Wifi didn’t reach the cabin we were staying in. The cabin overall was quite rustic with creaking floorboards which didn’t bother us but we were surprised.
The meal in the Harvest Restaurant
Bathrooms need to be renovated
All of it
Sauna wasnt open
Staff were all very friendly and professional, the food was really tasty and well presented. We stayed in the chalet and loved the peace and quiet and greeting the hens on our way to breakfast and dinner!
Nothing
Fabulous elegant hotel in a beautiful setting. Friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent food.

Beautiful location off the beaten track and very historical facilities
Irish weather 😢
Breakfast was extremely slow and tea served 14 minutes before breakfast arrived ..breakfast took total of 1 hour 15 mins
Had dinner in The Local and menu was very limited..food arrived within 7 minutes of ordering and the fries had a “bite”in them..will not return .
Excellent accommodation and food was delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly
Magnificent property taking you back in time- felt like royalty. There was nothing to dislike. The pub was also fantastic and Patrick was wonderful behind the bar.
Fresh, more-ish cocktails and good choice of champagnes. Dinner was lovely, with good selection of wines. Breakfast was excellent.
It is a bit of a drive from both New Ross and Waterford.
The stay was just 100% Staff are excellent and service was above and beyond. Well worth the stay. Room was a delight to stay in.
Excellent food. Excellent staff .the most comfortable bed i ever slept in .
