Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und zuvorkommen! Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist hervorragend, es gibt sogar einen Billiradtisch!

Man kann sehr viel aus dem Anwesen machen, leider hat es uns zu sehr nach Hund gerochen. Generell ist die Sauberkeit verbesserungsbedürftig.

Absolut herzliche und freundliche Gastgeberin! Super lieb und unkompliziert. Da es nicht so warm war gab es Heizdecken. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und hat einen sehr schönen Garten!

It was rustic & homey. Reinet was quite warm & welcoming & knew the history of the area which made our stay more meaningful. The breakfast with homemade jams, local eggs & smoked trout was absolutely delicious.

The door & floor creaked when I got up in the night which disturbed my wife.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently stayed at Aquaelberg Place with my two teenage daughters while attending a nearby tug of war competition, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, our host made us feel incredibly welcome. She was warm, caring, and genuinely friendly, making us feel as though we'd known each other for years. We stayed in the Deluxe Family Room, which was spacious and beautifully decorated. The interiors have a timeless elegance with a subtle Parisian boutique hotel feel, blended with vintage charm and thoughtful details. I especially loved the exposed copper pipework incorporated into the basins, showers, and other features throughout the house, adding a unique rustic touch and so much character. The gardens are a peaceful oasis, with winding brick pathways, mature trees, tranquil water features, and charming seating areas that feel like a hidden French country garden. Upstairs, there's also a pool table, which my daughters thoroughly enjoyed in the evenings. Breakfast was an absolute spoil each morning. We chose the smoked trout with scrambled eggs and were instantly hooked! We were also treated to fluffy flapjacks with homemade jam, fresh fruit, excellent coffee, and freshly squeezed juice. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. A special mention must go to the resident dogs. They are friendly, affectionate, and clearly very well cared for. They added such a warm, homely touch to our stay. Aquaelberg Place perfectly combines exceptional hospitality, beautiful design, and a peaceful atmosphere. We left feeling relaxed and already looking forward to our next visit. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay.

Nothing really comes to mind. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that the sports channel wasn't available for the Springbok rugby game. It wasn't a deal breaker, though, we enjoyed watching it at a nearby local restaurant instead.Everthing this is so close by.

Brad and Reinet were so friendly and welcoming, the dogs too. We had the room with the balcony, overlooking the lush garden. It had a little kitchen area, but we went out for dinner. The restaurants are really close by. We loved the bed, it was so comfy! Another highlight was the delicious breakfast . Thanks for a lovely stay.

Too much clutter and stuff. Very outdated as you can see from the photos on website. In winter it can feel dank and cold with no opportunity to enjoy the balcony. Draughty in winter.

I was so excited to see a pool table. But the pool cues had no tips save for one which was too small and there was no cuew tip chalk.

Very neat and spacious place. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The hosts are wonderful — incredibly caring and warm-hearted. Since I didn’t have a car, she even gave me a lift to a nearby farm. They truly go the extra mile for their guests. I’d be happy to return and can highly recommend it to anyone.

Very lovely people, very cozy, clean and had a lovely stay

The breakfast was amazing and my daughters gluten free diet was very well catered for, she loved the crumpets. Rooms are large, lovely balcony areas to enjoy and listen to the birds. Heaters and electric blankets provided for the colder nights. The hosts were amazing, thank you!

Exceptional and warm host welcome, accommodation was clean and beautiful. I would recommend this accommodation to friends and family and would return to the accommodation should I need accommodation in the future

Ik sluit me aan bij vorige beoordelingen. Prijs kwaliteit uitstekend, en hartelijke ontvangst. Inrichting wel wat verouderd, maar dat stoorde ons helemaal niet. Heerlijk terras aan onze kamer.

Uitstekende en veilige locatie in een rustige villawijk in Swellendam. De gastvrouw was buitengewoon vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De accommodatie is lichtelijk gedateerd en ademt een rustieke sfeer. Het heeft een grote tuin met zwembad. Het ontbijt is zeer gevarieerd en met veel liefde bereid.

Het is een gezellige en erg leuke oude woning die door de bewoners heel mooi opgeknapt is en goed onderhouden. Het is een plek met duizend verhalen doordat het huis al vele generaties in bezit is van de eigenaars. Dus heel erg leuk en zeer zeker een goed en lekker ontbijt klaargemaakt door de eigenaars.

Herzlicher Empfang und ein super Frühstück! :) Hier kann man wirklich super abschalten da man mitten in der Natur ist. Der Garten und die Terasse von unserem Zimmer haben zum Entspannen eingeladen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Die Zimmer sind ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, hatten aber trotzdem Charme :) Das Bett hätte etwas bequemer sein können.

Upon our arrival, Reinet gave us a very warm welcome and showed us around, so we immediately felt at home. We had only booked one night, but we – and especially our son – would have loved to stay longer. He had a wonderful time playing in the beautiful garden and still talks about the treehouse and the toy vehicles. It was a truly lovely stay, and we highly recommend this place to families.

The property was lovely particularly the wonderful garden. Woke up to the birds singing. Pool very welcome in the intense heat. Hosts were lovely and breakfast superb. Homemade pancakes and jams and delicious smoked trout.

Very hot, air conditioning would have been a bonus.

Reinet and Brandon were lovely hosts. We had time to discover the history of the house and how they had extended it over time. The lounge is huge and full of character. For dinner, we used their barbecue and Reinet cooked us a lovely breakfast. We visited in peak mosquito season, so the sprays provided were much appreciated.

Das Zimmer war geräumig und das Bett sehr bequem. Das Bad war groß und alles hat funktioniert! Die Unterkunft liegt am Rand von Swellendam und damit sehr sicher und ruhig. Mehrere Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist großartig und die Gastgeber außerordentlich freundlich!

Unser Zimmer hatte nicht den gebuchten Blick in den schön angelegten Garten, sondern lag zum Parkplatz. Aber die Supergastgeberin und das zauberhafte Ambiente haben das schnell vergessen lassen.

Their dog, which was not vaccinated, bit me right after check-in while I was taking my stuff out of the car. It left me really concerned about safety and scratches.

The fresh milk in the fridge, the peaceful garden setting with the chatter of birds topped with a unique trout and pancake breakfast made the charm of a comfy wooden house surpass other establishments.

One can see the house is old but it does give it it's charm, the wooden floors does make neighbors noises audible but all occupants went to bed early so it was not an issue.
