Reviewed Sep 11, 2026Neat and clean! Nice location! Decent gym, bath, laundry, good lounge area. The Japanese bar at the hotel was nice. The female bartender on 2nd September was very professional, explained the different drinks, and culture in Japan. I went to other bars, where they charged 1000 yen service charge with poor service. But at this bar, there is no service charge but was a very good service.
Some Rooms are literally facing the adjacent building entry/ exits. No privacy or views.

Estuvimos en un hotel de la cadena Mitsui Garden en Kioto y nos gustó mucho, este es mucho peor. Es un hotel grande e impersonal, las habitaciones pequeñas. El servicio regular, por ejemplo, no tenían toallas en el baño público (se supone que hay que llevar la toalla del baño de la habitación).

여름이라 어쩔 수 없을 것 같은데, 모기가 있어서 잡았어요. 다행히 첫날 이후엔 없었어요.

Les chambres sont grandes, modernes et très propres. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et délicieux. Le personnel est adorable et toujours prêt à aider. La salle de sport et l’onsen sont très appréciables.

Das einzige Manko war das Frühstück. Nicht wirklich gut. Brot nicht gut, Spiegeleier nicht professionel richtig gebraten, Buffet bezüglich Käse und insgesamt sehr bescheiden wo sich doch das Restaurantals Käsespezialisten selbst lobt.

唯一残念だった点は、お部屋が吹き抜けの中庭に面しており、廊下から窓越しに室内が見えてしまうことです。 私は自然光をとても大切にしているため、プライバシーを確保するにはカーテンを閉めておかなければならず、その点だけは少し残念に感じました。

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026An absolutely fantastic hotel! The beds are incredibly comfortable—you'll hardly want to get out of them. The onsen is wonderful and perfect for relaxing after a full day of sightseeing, and the food is delicious and varied. Another major advantage is the excellent location. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many attractions, and a major metro interchange is located right next door. This made getting around the city incredibly convenient.
As someone who is learning Japanese, I was a little disappointed that the staff addressed guests only in English, even when I tried to speak Japanese. I completely understand that this was intended to make communication easier and provide the best possible service. However, I was still a bit disappointed, as living in Europe gives me very few opportunities to use Japanese in real-life situations, and visiting Japan is one of the rare chances I have to practice speaking the language.

La chambre pour 3 suffisamment grande. Moderne. Propre. Avec les vue sur le musée du Kyoto. La rue est plutôt calme, on est juste réveillé par le chant des cigales😅 La salle de sport magnifique, parfaitement bien équipée. Une laverie et l’onsen appréciable. Un petit coup de cœur pour les chaussons de la marque Mizutori ❤️
Rien. Il manquait peut être des cafés ou qq biscuits à disposition dans le hall, on a eu ça dans les autres hôtels.

Apprezzo molto che ci siano gli asciugacapelli ReFa e anche i soffioni della doccia della stessa marca: viaggiare in Giappone è un sogno per chi ha i capelli lunghi!Mitsui Garden sono una vera e propria garanzia.
Il fatto che non avessero rispettato le mie richieste di una camera piano alto, ma non appena l'ho fatto notare ci hanno spostato immediatamente. Ho notato che non forniscono gli accappatoi, cosa che sarebbe molto gradita forse non è nella cultura giapponese, ma sarebbe un perfetto tocco in più !

Camera molto più grande della media in Giappone dotata di tutti i comfort, bagno eccellente, letto comodissimo e grande.
colazione buona ma mi aspettavo un po più di varietà per un 5 stelle considerando gli ospiti che soggiornano più notti è risultata un po ripetitiva. Ristorante italiano al piano terra mi ha un po’ deluso porzioni minime e prezzo altino.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Very good breakfast with daily made cheeses. Really enjoyed the dedicated barista making coffee. It is near the subway and downtown shopping. Very nice quality hotel. I also really enjoyed having laundry on site.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026Simply my favorite hotel in Japan. At least of all hotels i personally stayed in myself. Everything is perfect. Location is incredible puts you at walking distance of everything you'd want to visit at the historical center of Kyoto and subway, buses and stations are all around so you can easily visit everything around Kyoto. The hotel itself was perfect, from the infrastructure, attention to details and quality of the rooms and service. It truly deserves the best rating.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026The staff are accommodating and very helpful. The location is excellent: right in the city centre, in a pleasant area.
The hotel lacks character and a certain spark. The lounge area is not particularly inviting, especially compared with the five-star hotel we stayed at in Tokyo. The rooms are small and lack a proper table, as well as some basic amenities one would expect from a five-star property, such as a coffee machine and an iron. Even decaffeinated coffee was unavailable, including at the bar. The low ceilings reinforce the impression that the rooms are small. Overall, the layout is clearly not ideal for families. It is in these details that the hotel falls short of its price point. The early closing hours add to that impression. Overall, it does not feel like a true five-star experience.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Abbiamo avuto un’esperienza molto positiva. La struttura è bella, curata e accogliente, con ambienti moderni e piacevoli. Le camere hanno dimensioni nella media: non particolarmente grandi, ma neanche troppo piccole, soprattutto considerando gli standard giapponesi. Noi abbiamo scelto una camera con lavasciuga, che si è rivelata comodissima: arrivavamo già da diversi giorni di viaggio e avere la possibilità di lavare e asciugare i nostri vestiti direttamente in camera è stato davvero un grande vantaggio. Lo staff è sempre stato molto gentile e disponibile. La colazione è abbondante e offre una buona scelta, sia dolce che salata. L’unico aspetto che secondo noi potrebbe essere migliorato è l’organizzazione: soprattutto negli orari di maggiore affluenza si crea un po’ di confusione e affollamento. Inoltre, soggiornando diversi giorni, ci avrebbe fatto piacere trovare qualche variazione in più nella proposta quotidiana. Un altro grande punto di forza è sicuramente la posizione: comodissima, a pochi passi dalla stazione della metro Karasuma Oike e vicina alla zona di Teramachi, perfetta per muoversi facilmente e raggiungere le principali zone di Kyoto. Nel complesso è una struttura che ci è piaciuta.

Onkundig personeel. Spreekt geen Engels en management komt niet tw voorschijn bij problemen. Zeer onklantvriendeljjk. Had binnen half uur na boeking gezien dat ik ontbijt was vergeten toe te voegen. Heb direct via booking Contact gezocht met hotel maar moest de 100% ontbijt prijs betalen ipv de genius ontbijt prijs. Ze wilden ons totaal niet tegemoet komen. Dit heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt bij een booking reservering. Overigens ook geen hulp via booking.com

Reviewed Aug 18, 2026Es un hotel boutique, muy cuidado en sus detalles y muy bien gestionado. Siempre te atienden con una sonrisa y las instalaciones son modernas y funcionales. Yo reservé una habitación con lavadora/secadora que viene fenomenal en mitad de un viaje, como era mi caso. También es increíble la gran insonorización que tienen, no se oía nada.

The washers were a little difficult to use. It took a long time to dry clothes.

It is a tiny niggle, but the check in process was irritating. It seemed to involve a completely unnecessary phase of sitting down and talking when I just wanted my key. If this could be sped up this would have been a 10!
