Costa Karakoy Hotel

Good location and friendly staff. The room is clean and spacious

Clean room

Clean Spacious and excellent location

Nothing

Personnel sympathique

RAS

I would like to thank Mustafa & Ali • Friendly staff • Easy check-in procedures • Wonderful reception • Wonderful hospitality • Professional and courteous service • Hotel cleanliness • Room cleanliness • Excellent and clean facilities • Great service • Beautiful neighborhood and close to everything • I stayed here for 6 days and it was one of the best days • Highly secure hotel

Nothing

Very comfortable bed, clean and bright room, good staff.

I would suggest that the hotel post a 'Quiet Hour". The other guests were young girls unaware when most adults would be sleeping. In their excitement, they congregated in the small hallway area and we were carrying on between midnight and 3 am. After kindly asking them to not be in the hallway, they were apologetic. It stopped briefly, then resumed a time later. Just young people enjoying themselves, but quite unaware.

Location, size of room

I booked a standard room, which was on the second floor, right next to the elevator shaft. The soundproofing was very poor ‐ I could hear not only conversations from the neighboring room but also music and people in the café on the first floor. I had to go downstairs and ask them to turn the music down. The room was very small, the shower was broken, and the shampoo and shower gel provided by the hotel were diluted with water. Completely disappointed with my stay. I believe the hotel’s reviews are overrated, so I’m giving it the lowest rating. An honest rating for this hotel is 4 out of 10.

The hotel is superbly situated in Karaköy, which puts you right in the midst of many restaurants, cafés, and shops. It’s just minutes from Galataport and very close to public transportation. This makes getting around the city, and visiting major sights, very convenient. The staff here are one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. From check-in to small requests, they were polite, helpful, and tried to go the extra mile. Unfortunately I didn’t get to the room i booked due to some maintenance issues but Ali was very Attentive and kind he offered me so many free drinks :) this is my first time visiting istanbul with my daughter and i loved it . Costa Karaköy is an excellent choice for travellers who want to be centrally located in Istanbul, with easy access to food, transport, and sights. It gives you comfort, cleanliness, and service at a fair price

The only downsides were that the area can be a bit noisy at night and the breakfast is simple, but overall it’s an excellent choice if you want convenience, comfort, and great service in Istanbul.

The place was very well located, close to all of Karakoy's shops, restaurants, coffee places, Metro Station, Galata Tower, Modern Istanbul Museum, Galata Port and much more. It was very clean and staff was friendly.

The room didn't have a window, which was correctly mentioned at reservation but the room felt too locked-up. It was definitely too small, had no room to open the suitcases comfortably, had to do it over the bed. Recommended only if you're traveling by yourself, otherwise it would be overcrowded. This applies for the room I got, the hotel does have bigger rooms with windows.

Top Lage, sauberes Zimmer Super freundliches Personal

Very helpful and accommodating and upgrade us to a super big room with no extra charges . Super helpful Mustaffa not sure he is the manager but he went all out to help us with our laundry and provide us free coffee and tea from the restaurant downstairs .

Walking distance to the port as we were going for a cruise after our stay. Lots of eateries and bars at our door step and behind the hotel is the rows of bars and eateries and very happening .

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. From the first moment, I felt completely at home. The staff were excellent – always polite, supportive, and ready to help. I especially appreciated the free Turkish coffee they offered every time we were in the lounge. The location was also perfect, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was very pleasant and welcoming.

The only downside is that some of the facilities could use a bit of repair or updating. Apart from that, everything was wonderful, and I would be happy to stay here again.

Carina e centrale

Ascensore come montacarichi

Servizio di pulizia giornaliero

Condizioni pessime.

First, the cleaning lady cleans to a high standard. Our room and the bathroom were spotless. She provided clean towels, bedding, slippers, toiletries...Reastaurant is also very clean, and chef Ali cooks delicious food. A massive thank you to Gazi for arranging transport to the airport for us, and to Mustafa for driving us to the airport. So, all staff are amazing. We loved the breakfast. There's a partial Bosphorus view from the balcony as well. The hotel is within walking distance to all public transport, Galata Bridge, Galata pier, Galata tower are all five minutes walk from the hotel. Plenty of restaurants, shops only couple minutes walk. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was good.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The hosts were incredibly friendly, as is often the case in Turkey, and we loved the room, the amenities, everything was great. While the listing mentioned a parking garage, there wasn’t one on-site, which was a bit misleading. However, we did find a secure garage about 10 minutes away, so it worked out fine. We experienced a minor electrical issue in the room, but the host resolved it whit-in minutes. The location was perfect in a lively neighborhood that was still quiet at night, ideal for both short and long stays. Plus, public transport was just a 2-minute walk away. I’d definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting the area. Thank you for hosting us!😊

It was amazing, nothing i didn’t like.

Close to Galata port, metro station, Galata tower. Easy access to public transportation.

The host were not friendly and very intimidating, they avoided any communication as they could not speak English. I was home sick soon after check-in. We did not feel safe and welcomed. The lift only works one-way, and the stairs were not safe to use, very steep and not even. The hosts were busy working on the aesthetics of their new restaurant down stairs and ignored us as guests. Breakfast was very poor and depressing, just bread and a couple of jams, cucumber, tomato, olive and one boiled egg. We only ate breakfast once. On bookings.com the room appears big with a couch and side pedestals, but there was no couch, and only 1 side pedestal. The hotel feels like you are renting a back-yard cottage.

The hotel is very well located – we reached all major tourist attractions quickly. The room was extremely spacious, clean, and comfortable. Towels were changed daily, the room was cleaned, and we received fresh water every day. Everything was perfect! I will definitely stay here again. The only small issue we encountered (though I wouldn’t call it unpleasant) was that my friend had a Romanian ID card, and the staff were initially unsure how to read the birth date from it. However, they were very kind and the situation was quickly resolved.

Very friendly and helpful staff The rooms were huge and the large balcony was a delightful bonus Right at the heart of Karakoy with 1000 of food and bar options just at your door step. Walking distance to train station to get you anywhere you want

We loved everything!; I highly recommend (Costa Karakoy Hotel) for its cozy rooms, friendly staff, serene atmosphere and customer service. hotel is very clean! A big thumbs up! speciel thanks to Ali & Gazi ofcoures to other personale, everyone is very nice (:

Great location. Very charming helpful staff. Their friendliness was refreshing.

Nothing

Location was very good.

I paid with my credit card at check in. When I returned back to the hotel after being out enjoying the city. I was told that I still owed them 50 Euro. No real explanation from staff with very limited communication skills. I accepted their word for it and told them we would look at it the next morning. When I arrived (at the very poor choice) for breakfast another staff member tried to insist that breakfast was not included in what I paid for. I had to retrieve the email from Booking.com to prove that it was included. This was the second encounter of the hotel asking me for additional money with 12 hours. The breakfast was very very poor. Nothing like photographs and nothing like the famous Turkish breakfast. One member of staff showed me a google translate apologising for the misunderstanding "apologies from yesterday" and that they made a mistake In fact we never went back to breakfast for the next 3 mornings or engaged with the staff form that point onwards. We felt very uncomfortable in the establishment and could not trust them. I assumed the "apology" was the end of the 50 Euro request from the first night. When leaving the hotel after 4 nights I was followed down the street by the same guy who claimed that breakfast wasn't included. He was again insisting with his very limited communication skills that I owed him 50 Euro. It was a quite intimidating and again uncomfortable. I went back to the hotel and asked him to explain where the shortfall and put things down on paper. The booking.com confirmation did refer to "approximate" euro costs. I had been reading about fluctuating currency rates. I dont know what currency conversion rates he was using. I used Revolut equivalent to the amount of TL he charged my credit card. My calculation was maybe I was charged 30 euro less but I dont know WHY. He claimed there was a huge commission being charged by "his" bank.

Location perfect

Breakfast was poor. 👎

Location is great. Really recommend to rent hotel in Karaköy area. Few min to restaurants, 5 min to Galataport, 3 mins to tram T1. Room is big, quite clean. minuses: is the load from streets (but it’s Istanbul so it’s load everywhere), also it’s quite light at night even if you close curtains. The smell of cigarettes is everywhere as Turkish people smell inside so you need to be ready for it in Istanbul.

Excellent location , very nice staff . Mustafa and Ali and other staff were very nice .

The location is great, that was the main reason for choosing this hotel. The room was spacious with an interesting city view . The heating was great during our stay. There was no noise from the hotel or the neighborhood.

I emailed the hotel twice ,via booking, but never replied to my questions. They welcomed us a bit indifferently , so our relations during our stay were typical. Breakfast is just basic, don't count on it. We stayed for four nights, our bed linen and towels were not changed. The furniture fabrics had big discusting stains, we couldn't overcome and sit there .

Staff was helpful and polite. Great location.

The location is very good

Honestly, the situation is annoying and the window does not isolate the sound at all. I wake up early in the morning because of the noise.

The location and overall room size, decorations were good

The linens weren't fresh, there was someone's perfume fragrance, so we asked to change. Bathroom facilities: toilette and sink were installed badly the height and location isn't according to human standards. Breakfast was regular, not wonderful as it is mentioned in the filters when we were choosing. Also they offered a small room, not 30m2, and changed it only after our complaints.

Great location in Karakoy and VERY spacious room. Everything was clean and well looked after.

Location

Mustafa and his staff were incredibly friendly and the room was neat, modern and very sufficient. We enjoyed having a private balcony and being close to the public transport. The value for money was incredible, and staff were always willing to help and very friendly. Will most certainly come back.

The only thing would be better wifi reception in our room, but the connection in the restaurant was perfect.

Perfect location and very friendly staff, more than a staff a family

The location and staff are exceptional. Very helpful and friendly.

It could be cleaner (e.g. huge amount of dust in bathroom) Breakfast is the same every day and poor in comparison with other hotel of the same price range. Just some cream cheese, sweet jams, honey in a small packs, white bread, a couple of greens like salad. Minor things could be repaired or improved. Like unstable tap in the bathroom or air conditioner which hardly functioned. WiFi connection is poor in the room.

Location Food Cleanliness Staff

Nothing

everything

The staff is really friendly and helpful! Also the owners, Mustafa and his wife made me feel at home right at the check-in. Room gets cleaned daily. The location of the hotel is perfect, not in the heart of karakoy, but just on the edge - the heart is only 1-2 minutes walk from the hotel. The breakfast was sufficient :) will come here again!

Location is great. Near to transportation stations. Roomswas clean and stuff was helpful. Breakfast was good. Its easy to find.

All good

A great place to stay while visiting Istanbul, very friendly people, and great food at the restaurant.

Great location, great staff, reasonable price, clean.

Ali and Davut were amazing and always made us feel welcome and at home. The food was also great.

It is a bit noisy sometimes, but nothing you cannot talk about with the staff.

The staff, super welcoming, helpful and kind, despite their poor English. We understood perfectly. Thanks to their kindness we overcame linguistic barriers. Good breakfast Turkish style. Spacious rooms very comfortable.

Quite noisy room because the windows were on the main street, not a problem for me but for many people it is. Just ask for a room on the courtyard, in case.

The location is convenient, and the staff’s friendliness added a welcoming touch. The room was spacious and well-maintained.

My stay was overshadowed by significant noise issues – not only could I easily hear sounds from adjacent rooms, but there was also disruptive electronic music and loud laughter from a nearby bar or club until the early hours. Falling asleep was a challenge. Hope the hotel can enhance soundproofing in the future for a more tranquil experience.

Really great location with lots of restaurants and bars nearby, also very close to Galataport. The staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help even though they don’t speak English well (Google Translate works great). Breakfast was simple but delicious and tea was provided free of charge at every opportunity.

Because the hotel is in a vibrant and bustling part of town the streets outside at night were a bit noisy (but we were grateful to have such good places to eat and drink close by). Could also hear through the walls into other rooms easily even when neighbours were speaking normally.

Wonderful hotel, big spacious clean room and very nice breakfast. The breakfast is not buffet style, they bring you a a disc with food on it, omelette, sausage, bread, butter, jam, coffee and juice. The staff very helpful and polite. The experience at this hotel was excellent!

Location is great and the staff is SO friendly and helpful!

I could hear every conversations from the room next and people were really not speaking loudly. The bathroom smelt like humidy and stagnating water. There is no window in the bathroom.

Great location, spacious and clean rooms, excellent staff.

The size of the room is comfortable clean

Breakfast without milk nor coffee there's No omelette. Only tea and vegetables some cheese.

Excellent location, good breakfast, comfortable room in a small hotel/bar/restaurant in the heart of Karakoy. When my husband and I arrived to the hotel, we asked if we can change the room due to the noise coming from the streets and the bar, and they provided us with a bigger and much better room for the same price. Also, we will never forget that they helped us to catch a taxi to airport in heavy rain and with normal price, as two taxis wanted to make us pay double just because we are tourists. We are immensely grateful for this! The chef's food is great, and the hotel is just few minutes walk from Galataport, Eminonu, even Galata tower. It is not in a hilly area and that is a bonus.

There were few challenges in the communication due to the lack of English, but we understood the hotel has recently started to host visitors and they are still learning on the go. We wish them a lot of success!

EVERYTHING WERE PERFECT. THE STAFF WAS SO FRIENDLY

The employees were going the extra mile in all possible aspects during my visit since the beginning till I left the hotel. For example, for my arrival I sellected 2-3 pm, but my bus arrived earlier to Istanbul so I just wanted to ask if they can keep my suitcase in meanwhile. The man at the reception served me tea and by the time i was done with my tea my room was ready. I'm slow drinker, but being able to enter the room few hours in advance was appreciated.

Good location, very nice staff, tidy and clean. delicious Turkish breakfast included. Welcome coffee at the reception.

A little bit noisy, creaking fans
