The rooms were lovely! Lots of details to make us comfortable. Everyone on the staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed.
The elevator is slow. Sometimes it did not come at all.
Stella d’Italia is in an excellent location! Literally max 15 minute walk to any sight - Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace, Uffizi, Duomo, Accademia…we didn’t expect it to be as convenient as it was. The staff are gracious and the breakfast was wonderful. 10/10!
Nothing bad about this property!
Internet is sluggish. The room was fine and the staff is great. The breakfast was fair though. Not being a person who eats meat, I really didn't have a lot of choices except sugary options.
Great location! Beautiful unique hotel with a must see rooftop sunset viewing! Great breakfast buffet to top things off! Loved our stay!
Good selection: pastries, cheeses, fruits, cold cuts, yogurt, cereal/granola and bacon/eggs. Good variety of juices/tea/coffee This is wonderful property that is small and quaint, as if you are staying in lovely luxurious home. Located in the best street with the high end luxury stores. We enjoyed our 2 nt stay and the bellman was so wonderful helping us with our bags to the parking garage thats a 3 min walk down the way. Would highly recommend!
Our stay at Stella was perfect- the location was 10/10, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was great. It was the perfect spot for our 3 days in Florence. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
loved EVERYTHING about this hotel!! my favourite stay during my europe trip this summer for sure. clean, breathtakingly gorgeous, the loveliest staff, superb location (5-10 minutes to literally everywhere you’ll wanna go in florence). will be back next summer hopefully!
SURPRENDENTE. sem palavras nota 10. Um experiência que recomendo. No coração de Florença.

Beautiful and clean stay. Easy to walk all over Florence. Staff is lovely and breakfast was so tasty and fresh.
Stella d’Italia is well located, making all the hot spots very accessible. Communal spaces i.e. breakfast room and bar are nicely decorated.
Overall I was VERY underwhelmed by my stay at Stella d’Italia. For a hotel that costs between £400-500 per night, it falls vastly below what I would expect of such a price point and what I have experienced elsewhere. I am shocked that the management think it reasonable to charge the money that they do. There are other hotels in the city that offer a lot more e.g. Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi Firenze Hotel The first let down was my room. The style concept may be unique, but antique pieces are damaged, chipped, and not restored. Bedding is cheap and disappointing with no actual duvet cover on the duvet. No wardrobe. Breakfast was sadly a bigger let down. No one to explain on arrival how it worked, cheap bread, having to ask for hot food to be refilled every morning I ate there. Again. Not what I expected. I adored my visit to Florence and will definitely be back. I won’t however choose to spend my money at Stella d’Italia again, and I suggest you spend yours elsewhere too.
We loved it’s quirkiness and location. The room was spacious and had A/C. Every day sheets and towels changed. Exceptionally clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Reception staff helped us book dinners out each evening that were all lovely. We loved the breakfasts and enjoyed the bar early evening
Nothing
Great location and beautiful room!!
Everyone at the property is lovely and the rooftop is a great place to relax
This hotel was absolutely amazing, location was close to all the major attractions in the city but very quiet and peaceful in the evening at the end of the day. The room that we were allocated was bright, clean well finished with quirky furniture and fittings. Breakfast every morning was a complete joy from the buffet bar selection to the homemade baking. We stayed 5 nights and will definitely return in the future. 100% perfection, well done Stella d’Italia.
Very nice place
Loved this hotel! Great breakfast and amenities, beautifully designed. Friendly staff. Would stay here again
Great hotel, we enjoyed everything about this hotel. The ladies at the front desk were all great so friendly and helpful. The rest of the staff were just as friendly and helpful, if you needed something they had it for you asap. The breakfast in the morning was a perfect start to our day, the food and drinks were delicious. We had a very unique room which we really liked with high ceilings, good shower water pressure, safe in the room and the bed was comfortable. The location is perfect to get anywhere quickly. We would definitely return to Stella d'Italia.
Très bel établissement : très belle décoration différente pour chaque chambre, très belle atmosphère, personnel très gentil et efficace. Hôtel très bien placé en plein centre mais très calme
Rien
The upper balcony, watching the sun go down.even being in the heart of the city once you shut the door you was totally cut off and could enjoy peace and quiet
Absolutely Nothing ( other than finding the place)
Definitivamente vamos a volver 🇲🇽
Absolut fantastisch!
We had the most wonderful stay at Stella d’Italia during our family trip to Florence. We booked the Family Suite, which was absolutely perfect for our needs—spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully laid out so we could all relax after busy days exploring the city. One of the absolute highlights was the beautiful loggia right outside our door. It became our favourite spot to sit in the morning with a coffee or in the evening to unwind—so peaceful and full of Florentine charm. Breakfast each day was excellent, with plenty of fresh, high-quality options to please both the adults and children. The warm hospitality from the staff made us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. The location was ideal for exploring Florence on foot, yet felt tucked away enough to enjoy some quiet downtime. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our trip and will be recommending Stella d’Italia to friends and family. We’ll definitely be back—thank you for making our stay so memorable!
Absolutely recommend staying here!
Everything about the hotel was wonderful from the friendly and welcoming staff, to the comfortable room, the pleasant atmosphere, and even the lovely scent throughout the property. The hospitality and overall experience were excellent, and I would definitely stay here again.
While my stay at the hotel itself was perfect, there was an unpleasant experience with the staff at the garage recommended by the hotel for parking. Their behavior was impolite, which was disappointing compared to the otherwise excellent service.
I arrived to my first night in Florence with jetlag. My patio was so peaceful and it was so quiet.
Place was amazing, room was big. Location was perfect. Highly recommended!
We planned to stay here 2 nights and ended up extending our stay to 4. We loved the location so much! It’s super central so all the main attractions are just a short walk away and surrounded by luxury stores. The service was great and everyone was so kind. Also loved how huge the rooms were and the fun decor. Would highly recommend!
Really the only thing is to get a cooked breakfast you had to pay extra. They have a buffet with cold things but I think all of breakfast should be included in my opinion.
The room was gorgeous and the breakfast outstanding. All the breads and pastries made on site. They serve you coffee. Beautiful flowers in the main breakfast room. Our reception went smoothly which we appreciated since we were tired. A big shout out to AnaLisa on the staff for her correspondence and support.
This is a very pretty property. Loved the eclectic decor. Breakfast was included. Beautiful rooftop and views. Breakfast and bar staff were nice. The place is in the center of Florence. You can literally walked everywhere. Lots of shopping, food options and museums.
Fantastic stay and the staff were super accommodating with our emails prior to check-in. We ended up being delayed 6+ hours and only made it to the hotel after the concierge had left so the night staff checked us in. Didn’t really receive any info, at that point but we stopped in after breakfast at the reception desk and was given a run down. Sad that our stay was so short, will stay again if given the opportunity to come back!
At first impression, I wasn’t sure about the property. However, after three days, I came to feel that it was an absolutely perfect spot to stay in Florence. It’s charming, the staff is terrific and the location could not be better. In my opinion, it’s worth it to spend a few extra euros to get a room with a terrace. The terrace off my room was magical.
Fantastic location, staff very friendly, and room was very nice. I recommend staying here.
Location is amazing for all sightseeing and shopping. Still tucked away enough from bustle of the city. Breakfast was lovely.
We had the most amazing experience! The hotel is such a mixture of the old and new and just has such a great vibe. The room was very spacious, staff was wonderful, and the rooftop was a perfect place to watch the sunset. We cannot wait to go back!
Enjoyed everything about this hotel and the staff. Beautiful room! It did get noisy at night because young people were LOUD!!! I guess there is a bar around there. Hotel is on a very nice street. Felt safe.
Stella d’Italia is simply SUPERB! The rooms are all designed in a gorgeous, elegant manner with elaborate antiques, rich velvet settees, whimsical flea market finds and wonderful little surprises of ‘welcome home’ hiding in every nook and cranny. . (I honestly could NOT believe it upon arrival!!) The bed was out of this world comfortable, the staff are all very lovely and helpful (and good looking!!) the breakfast is delicious, the air conditioning amazing, EVERY little thing has been thought of with kindness and generosity. I’m staying on here and never EVER leaving as it’s so fantastic. Other Hotels throughout the world should come and study how Stella d’ Italia does it! True!!
There isn’t one thing to dislike! It’s beyond belief!
The staff was amazing so helpful, friendly and made you feel so welcomed. The location was perfect. Breakfast was wonderful. They really provided the best customer service for us, helped us with reservations, anticipated our needs and gave us the royal treatment for our last day. I would definitely stay there again.
Superb location and wonderful oasis of calm. Roof top bar is a delight with panoramic roofscape. Beautiful breakfast room and courtyard. Staff could not have been better either.
Great B&B in heart of Florence. When I travel there are hotels which are your destination and destinations where want a nice hotel. Place is clean quiet rooms are large and you are right in the middle of Florence. Perfect place for home base 3-5 nights exploring the city
Fantastic location, highly recommended. Great staff and the included breakfast was that little extra that made it all worth it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Amazing experience and beautiful hotel!
Excellent
Stella d'Italia was the highlight of our accommodations while in Italy. The hotel has a bed and breakfast-like feel right in the heart of Florence. It is a convenient walking distance to all the landmarks and is very quiet and comfortable. The rooftop terrace is not to be missed!
Decor and wonderful staff. Great breakfast! Darling, comfortable room. Excellent bathroom. Everything was amazing
Basically nothing! Slight sewer smell (historic building) upon entering hotel but not in rooms
Beautiful hotel and helpful staff. The breakfast was wonderful and be sure to enjoy sunset from the rooftop.
Really nice rooms and very well located.
It is a little difficult to find it as it has no an exclusive entrance from the street. Variety in the breakfast could be improved.
Fantastic location and property, Top to bottom great job.
Lovely hotel in a very good location
I’ve just had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stella d’Italia, a truly charming boutique gem in the heart of Florence. The location is unbeatable — everything you’d want to see is within a 10- to 20-minute walk, and the hotel itself sits above some of the city’s most elegant boutiques. My room was spacious, beautifully furnished with antiques, and full of character. High ceilings, classic décor, and windows that opened onto the street gave me the choice of listening to opera and classical music from nearby street performers — or simply closing the double-glazed windows for quiet. The large bathroom was spotless and stocked with high-quality bath products. Breakfast was a daily delight, served either in a stunning room with ceiling frescoes or outside in a peaceful, sunlit courtyard. There’s also a lovely bar and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views — ideal for an evening drink. Even the hallways are a pleasure to walk through, adorned with vintage magazines and artwork, each detail placed with an eye for style and atmosphere. It truly feels like stepping into a film set. But what made the experience exceptional was the wonderful staff. Warm, welcoming, and instinctively helpful, they anticipated my needs with grace — from arranging restaurant reservations to making it easy for me to extend my stay. Their kindness and professionalism elevated the whole experience. This hotel is a rare find — elegant, intimate, and full of soul. I cannot recommend Stella d’Italia highly enough. It’s one of the finest places I’ve ever stayed, not just in Florence, but anywhere.
I had an amazing stay at Stella this weekend. Gorgeous room facing the street, even got an upgrade. The property is kept beautiful and clean. Interesting design. It feels extremely private once inside, removed from the street. The staff and front desk are incredible. Paired with contingency: I had a small traveler nightmare - my US credit/bank card being eaten by a bank machine - and on a Saturday with everything closed, the front desk - Diana! - was impeccable and helpful. They somehow made it possible for the card to be retrieved and actually delivered by HAND to the next location. Unbelievable grace! And this took any stress that would be natural completely away. I'm grateful to them and will absolutely be staying here in future trips to Florence. Thank you Stella!
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, in the historic district of Florence. We were there for 5 days. The location is great, walking distance to most sites of interest in Florence. The hotel is on the upper floors of a beautiful old palazzo on a picturesque street where all the designer brands have their storefronts. It’s very nice to just walk around the area. The room was nice and quiet. We were given the option to choose our room, and each room is unique. Our room was quaint, with quirky and eclectic decor, and the bathroom was updated and beautiful, with a separate bidet. Because it’s an old building, the rooms of the hotel, including the office and breakfast lounge, were spread out and we had to take the hallways and stairs connecting them to get around. From the ground floor, we rode the elevator to the third floor and then went up half a flight to get to the room. The keys are the old fashioned metal keys & are a little bulky. There is a very nice veranda on the top floor overlooking the rooftops and a couple of the cathedrals of Florence. The veranda is a lounge with comfortable chairs and some tables where you can sit and relax and order drinks. There also is a nice outdoor patio off the breakfast lounge. Breakfast is excellent! Their apple pie is the best. I couldn’t resist having a slice to bring with me on our last day. The staff are all very nice and helpful, from the reception, to buffet staff, housekeeping staff, and porters.
Definitely the best hotel we've ever stayed in, we couldn't rate it highly enough. We stayed for 4 nights in March. The staff could not have been more helpful and the reception staff were absolutely brilliant. The Hotel is very clean and is beautifully decorated. Breakfast was superb, which is unusual, as we are both Gluten free. We will definitely be back.
Au top très original et excellent accueil Equipe top Chambre super originale Merci beaucoup
Excellent staff
That I couldn’t stay longer due to their availability because they’re so awesome and popular
Nicest people. Perfect location. Safe and secure. Beautiful property. Bed was so comfortable. Suite 7 has a double shower. Breakfast is delightful. I would recommend
Staff was especially helpful. Breakfast food and service were excellent. Pastries were flaky and fresh. Location was convenient.
Hotel is beautiful, it is in the main shopping area and central to all the main attractions. If you like opera music, this hotel is where you will be able to enjoy it, singers and orchestras play in the evening just down from the hotel, don’t even need to leave your room. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Favorite place in Florence!
Superb stay. The whole experience was great. Can’t praise this place enough.
Great location, short walking distance to everything, cute room and design.
Our room had an awful smell of cooking in the morning as we were above the kitchen. We were out all day apart from 3-5pm one day and the room wasn’t cleaned which was poor- we didn’t realise until we returned again at 10pm so it was too late to do anything about it.
Amazing hotel in the perfect location. Staff were really friendly and helpful and my room was perfect. I look forward to returning to this hotel for my next visit - thank you for a wonderful stay!
I cannot recall when we last stayed in a hotel with such outstanding service and hospitality. Each and every staff person cared to do their job very well - always accommodating, warm and competent. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our needs were being met. Breakfast was outstanding too.The hotel is charming as was our room. The views at sunset …
Lovely independent hotel. Great breakfast
A fantastic location to explore Florence. Beautiful room, gorgeous breakfast salon, exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. A real treat! We’ll be back…
Lovely hotel! Everything g was perfect! It’s absolutely beautiful hotel w unbelievably gorgeous rooms, bathrooms, and breakfast room. The hotel staff was exceptional with a special call out for Diana who patiently attended to all my inquiries! Magical.
Fantastic
Wonderful location, clean - daily housekeeping, beautiful decor, excellent breakfasts. Staff were fantastic.
Can’t fault it - had an excellent experience.
It was beautiful, very atmospheric. The staff was fabulous. Just loved it!
Nothing, everything was great.
Superbe hôtel très bien situé. Le personnel est vraiment agréable. Les chambres sont spacieuses et très bien équipées.
Great location
Room a bit small and loud with the sound of reception / breakfast - we were woken before 7am by noises every day
Everything was exceptional !
Nothing negative to say
We loved our stay at Stella d'Italia ! The location was walkable from the train station, major landmarks, and shopping. It is a lovely home away from home. The rooms are each unique and full of history. The breakfast each morning was delicious. The outdoor terraces were lovely. Best of all, the staff was fantastic! Warm, welcoming, and helpful. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
Super clean and pretry
I recently had the pleasure of staying in Florence, a beautifully traditional hotel that perfectly embodies the charm of the city. Its location is ideal, offering easy access to all the wonderful sights and attractions Florence has to offer. The hotel itself is a delightful blend of classic elegance and modern comfort. The staff were exceptional, with Diana providing attentive and friendly service throughout my stay. However, Annalisa truly stood out. Her passion for her work and dedication to ensuring every guest has an amazing experience made my stay truly memorable. Her attention to detail and willingness to assist with any request were remarkable. Thanks to Annalisa, Diana and the sweet Greta. I am already planning my next visit to Florence, with stella d’italia, being my first choice!!! This wonderful experience might even hasten my return to this enchanting city. Thank you,Florence , for a stay filled with warmth, hospitality, and unforgettable moments!
