Hotel El Caballo Blanco

We stayed here for three nights and left far to soon. Our room was very clean quite and comfortable. The location could not have been better. An outstanding view of the ocean and direct access to one of the nicest beaches in all of Mexico. Our host Tina is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and recommend many outstanding restaurants. We can’t wait to return and spend much more time at this hotel and in this incredible community.

I came here the first time in July and I fell in love with the place so much that I had to go back just 4 months later. The hotel is beautiful, right on the beach, in the most beautiful quaint place! The owner (Tina) is amazing and a great help with local recommendations. The entire hotel is exceptionally clean and every room has all the necessities (big screen TV, fridge, safe, toiletries, coffee machine and coffee along with it, safe, beach towels, wifi, etc). I rarely stay in the same place twice, but I felt so good while staying here, that it almost felt like home. It's quiet, safe, peaceful and so relaxing... this is now one of my favorite places to go so well worth the trip and the money! It's 10 stars every time!

The hotel was amazing! Tina is such hospitable person! We live in Nebraska and she helped organize my whole wedding from nails to photographer to flowers and cake all the way from home and when I got there it was better than I could have imagined! Had the best time! The people of mahahual are very friendly and kind. Everything was clean and the scene was beautiful, such a great location and the family loved it! A quiet area with only the sound of the ocean at nighttime! And was very good at having someone be there the clean up our rooms multiple times throughout our trip! I don’t think I would say anywhere else. Right next to scuba and snorkeling excursions and a yummy beautiful restaurant named yayas and they will serve your drinks and food right on the beach to you! Everything is pretty much walking distance!

We absolutely LOVE this hotel..we spent two weeks here during Covid and have been coming back every year..Tina ( owner) is very knowledgeable and happy to share her favorite restaurants, and things to do and see in the area. The rooftop pool is such a hidden gem and has amazing views..Can’t wait to return in December..

Husband and I spent some time at this hotel. It is just perfect! In the middle of town. Tina is so nice. But the view is to die for!!! Hammock, chairs and a small pool on the top floor. Just a piece of heaven!

Tina has been so helpful and friendly! Definitely will be coming back! Amazing work and patience, exceptional job so grateful for the help!

al llegar al hotel la persona que nos atendió muy grosera el lugar no cuenta con estacionamiento y apesta horrible la playa extremadamente llena de sargazo no soporte le olor por lo que preferí buscar otro lugar donde estuviera mas higiénico todo y con playa limpia y una mejor actitud

I have been coming to this hotel for over 15 years. The hotel and its location are incredible. I always book a terrace room which i enjoyed for the sunrise and sound of the ocean. At night, a peek around the corner of the terrace revealed sunset and WOW. The owner (Tina) is an incredible person. She is very welcoming, accommodating and well informed. I would recommend this for solo, couples, friends and those with families and children. Very safe, excellent air-conditioning and always consistent.

We visited Mahahual for the first time, traveling from Cancun with a stop at Xel-Ha along the way. The property manager was very accommodating and arranged a smooth late check-in for us. My daughter absolutely loved the beach right in front of the hotel, and we also booked an amazing snorkeling tour. While the hotel doesn’t have on-site parking, we found a safe spot by the basketball court just behind the property. We stayed in a double room, which was comfortable and met our needs, with cozy beds for a good night’s rest.

La atención fue amable y eficiente, el lugar es muy tranquilo, pero falta limpieza y mantenimiento a la infraestructura urbana.

En términos generales, estuvo bien, el único inconveniente es que al llegar al hotel hubo una confusión en la habitación, y la persona que nos atendió en primer momento, nos proporciona una información diferente, respecto al costo para poder acceder a la habitación que nosotros queríamos, ya al llegar la persona encargada, nos dijo que el costo era mayor, al final logramos resolverlo y hacer una negociación, pero de inicio fue un poco incómodo que nos otorgarán información diferente.

No cuenta con estacionamiento, sin embargo dejamos nuestro auto en la avenida principal y fue muy seguro. Me encantó que para solicitar servicio de limpieza, nosotros lo pedíamos, de lo contrario no se hacía, nos dio privacidad y comodidad.

La vista es muy bonita, el cuarto tiene lo necesario y se siente acogedor. Cuenta con mosquitero por lo que se puede tener la puerta de la terraza abierta para disfrutar de la brisa sin preocuparse por los insectos, y también tiene aire acondicionado. La playa es muy tranquila, y aunque baja mucho el nivel del agua durante el día, se puede estar sentado en el agua disfrutando. De igual forma, fue de las pocas playas que no tenían sargazo o increíblemente poco, para la cantidad que se podía observar a unos 300 metros por la orilla. A dos edificios de distancia hay un restaurante muy agradable llamado Yaya. Recomendamos este hotel para una estancia en Mahahual. Seguro volveremos.

Right on the beach in a quiet little fishing village. Clean and comfortable. Run by the owner, Lisa, you will be made to feel welcome immediately. Most of the locals like Lisa, so telling people youre staying at her hotel gets you access to the other beach clubs and a little special treatment! We had a hard time finding airport transportation from Tulum, but call Lisa and she will help you out.

Excelente estancia. Hotel muy bien ubicado, habitación familiar amplia y bien amueblada, espacio al aire libre y administradora amable. Tina fuera excelente con nosotros y nostros hijos. Muy recomendable.

Excelente atención de la anfitriona llegamos a las 9 am y la entrada era a las 3 pm y nos ofreció cuidar las maletas nos proporcionó toallas y camastros en la playa y la oportunidad de cambiarnos de ropa para empezar a disfrutar desde temprano. Playa a unos cuantos pasos y lo mejor limpia de sargazo. Todos las personas atentas ofreciendo su servicio y los masajes súper relajantes. Un lugar muy tranquilo para venir a disfrutar y hospedarse en el hotel.

Hotel Cabello Blanco is a wonderful place to stay in Mahahual, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The hotel is right in the center of the malecon (think seaside boardwalk where all the good stuff is). A few steps in either direction puts the traveler at great restaurants, shops, adventure opportunities, bars, etc. Walk straight out the front door and step onto the hotel's private beach, access to which costs the hotel guest nothing, and comes with comfortable chairs, umbrellas, beach towels and a view of the Caribbean that will leave you speechless. And the restaurant next door is happy to serve delicious drinks and food to you right in your lounge chair! The rooms are spacious compared to others I have had in Mahahual, and quite spotless. The staff makes sure you have everything you need and is very responsive and accommodating. The owner is always on site and takes a personal interest in the seamless operation of the hotel, ensuring each guest's happiness. I will stay here again and again in the future.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, la atención es excelente, la encargada es muy amable y accesible. Siempre están al tanto de tus necesidades y sus instalaciones son muy limpias, la playa que tiene enfrente es de las mejores de la zona. Sin duda reservaría de nuevo ahí.

Amazing hotel… amazing view… amazing people! This is a return trip for me and I brought my best friend this time. I have never considered staying any place else when in Mahahaul. Tina is amazing and looks after my every need. Rooms are clean and well appointed. It is right across from the beach and the views are amazing!!!

I loved my stay at this hotel! The view is beautiful! This is the perfect location. It’s right on the Malecón with all the restaurants and an incredible beach out front. The beds are super comfortable. The owner is really helpful and speaks English. I can’t wait to go back!

We loved the mini pool on the roof where we could watch the cruise ships come and go. There is a stretch of beach right in front of the property which was for the use of the hotel. The owner was wonderfully kind and hospitable. Thanks!

We really enjoyed our week at the Caballo Blanco. The hotel was very comfortable and was right on the beach and the malecon making it very convenient. Thanks to Tina who was a most gracious host and dealt with any issues quickly and professionally. She was also a wealth of great information and recommendations. We felt very much at home. If/when we return to Mahahual we will definitely stay at the Caballo Blanco again.

La recepcionista Geni , que me enteré es la dueña pésimo servicio , grosera , pero a los americanos si los atiende ! El baño detalles rotos , aire acondicionado con moho ! Manchado sucio . No volvería !

Me encantó el hotel, es muy acogedor. Está a unos pasos de la playa lo cual es ideal para dejar las cosas e irse a disfrutar el mar. Tina es una persona excepcional que nos hizo sentir bienvenidas y nos dio muy buenas recomendaciones de lugares para comer, además que estuvo al pendiente de nosotras durante nuestra estancia. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Tina and her Caballo Blanco Resort is one of the best kept secrets in Majahual. She keep her Hotel and Beach areas immaculate, and she’s located very central to various restaurants, cafes, and bakery’s. We stayed 9 days, and it went by way too fast. Many Thanks to Tina, for providing an unforgettable experience.

This is a great little spot on a fairly busy walking street of shops and restaurants. The building is safe and clean and the rooms are large and comfortable. The host Tina is lovely welcoming and helpful. The street can be quite loud with music booming but thankfully not too early and not too late. And the pool isnt really a pool but rather just for putting your feet in. It could be much nicer but i understand there just isnt the staff to worry about this at the moment. Overall really nice place and i would definitely stay again

The Proprietor is very friendly and the location is excellent. Mahahual has not yet been developed by international hotel chains. This property is well managed, clean, friendly -- one of the best properties in the area. I recommended it highly and will continue to stay here during future visits.

La camera e’ piccola. Ha un armadio alto 1 metro. Frigobar non funzionante. Porta del balcone di legno non si chiudeva. Mediamente tutte le parti di metallo arrugginite. Personale scortese e poco disponibile. Reception quasi mai aperta, al telefono non rispondono. Siamo andati via perdendo due giorni gia’ pagati. Pessima esperienza.

Me encantó la estancia en caballo blanco, me hospede con mi mamá y tuvimos una habitación en planta baja frente a la playa. Tina la dueña es súper agradable, nos encantó hospedarnos con ella, es una persona muy agradable, amable y siempre está al pendiente, platicamos bastante con ella ya que es muy agradable, nos recomendo a Lupita una masajista excelente. Detalles, limpieza y amabilidad en todo momento. . Se descansa muy bien ya que sus camas y almohadas son muy cómodas (hay para todos los gustos) nos presto toallas para la playa y nos recomendó lugares para visitar y comer.Sin duda regresaremos con Tina :)

The location of El Caballo Blanco was perfect. Right on the beach and next to everything you’d need. It was clean, and Tina was super-helpful with recommendations for everything (diving company for kids, food, etc). Fantastic stay!

Hotel El Caballo Blanco is our favorite place to stay at Mahahual Beach. We have been to Mahahual a number of times and now we find ourselves wanting to only stay at this hotel. It is convenient to everything there is to do at this beautiful location. Plus, the hotel itself is very clean with nice roomy beds and showers. Fresh linens and other amenities are supplied. There is even a pharmacy connected to the hotel in case you are in need of any forgotten items. The owner is very personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. She knows all the good spots to keep you active and entertained - just ask! We will return there again for sure😘

This is a beautiful property right on the malecon so very little motorized traffic. We loved our room which overlooked the bay. Had coffee on the balcony every morning and watched the sunrise. The fishing and swimming were great right in front of the property. Tons of dining options nearby and Tina, the property owner, was fantastic with lots of suggestions and recommendations.

i stayed for two weeks . This is my 2nd visit staying at Hotel El . The rooms are reasonable and clean . The owner Tina is awesome always recommending places to eat and suggesting activities if you wanna get away, this is a great place to come visit and stay at Tina‘s hotel. It is right on the beach and the view is so beautiful. My favorite rooms at El Caballo is fronts room . You have your patio .

The view from our room and private balcony was breathtaking! The location cant be beat. The host was friendly and welcoming. The only down side was very hard mattresses, but I've traveled around Mexico enough to know this is not at all uncommon. I will definitely stay at Hotel El Caballo Blanco again!

We had a great experience! The owner Tine is welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The beach is a good for kids- there are shallow areas and you can walk far out. The hotel has very good service, and the owner has gone the extra mile to make sure we have everything we need. We are still here having fun!

Just returned home from a recent trip three week trip to Mexico and stayed with Tina at El Caballo Blanco for 4 nights. My wife and I simply love this property and would consider staying nowhere else when we are next visiting Mahahual. It's located in the middle of the Malecon and the rooms are nicely decorated with balconies that have views that cannot be bettered anywhere. It's biggest asset is it's owner, Tina, who is genuinely concerned that you enjoy your stay and is always available to provide helpful advice and assistance.

We are so happy with the hotel we choose for our week in Mahahual. The location is second to none. It's directly on the malecón with it's own beach. The room was clean spacious and had a ridiculously large deck to lounge on. As avid scuba divers we were happy to have a great dive shop, Dr Dive, right next door to the hotel. Tina the owner is a fantastic host and was always there to ask questions or get information from. She even made arrangements for us to go on an eco tour with local guide Victor who operates Mahahual Ecotours. When we go back to Mahahual we would look no further that this hotel as It met all our needs and more. It deserves all the five star reviews it gets. Thanks for the great week Tina, it was so nice to be travelling again after a long couple of years and there was no better place to travel to.

My friends and I had a fabulous time at Hotel El Caballo Blanco! Our rooms were spacious, very clean and had gorgeous ocean views. The location is prime - steps away from the water, a coffee shop and yummy cafe's. Tina, the owner, is great fun and quick with helpful restaurant and activity recommendations. The entire staff was delightful. The hotel also hosts an amazing italian restaurant on their roof. Tina helped us arrange a private dinner there for our friend's 21st birthday. It was a multi-coursed, delicious meal accompanied by an incredible opera singer! It was a gorgeous experience. I adore Mahahual and can't wait to come back! I will definitely return to Hotel El Caballo Blanco.

Stayed here with a few friends—we had a beachfront room on each floor, all with a private patios, which was so nice. Everyone who works here is super friendly and as an added bonus the owner, Tina, has lived in the area for nearly two decades so can advise you on anyyyyyything you need to know. The restaurant on the roof is amazing, the drinks at the beachfront bar are delicious, and it’s walking distance to everything you’d want—snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, bike rentals, etc.

This amazing hotel is beach front, next to YaYa Beach. Tina, the owner, if friendly and completely bi-lingual. The rooms are super clean and spacious. I love staying here, you feel you're right in the heart of Mahahual and staying in luxury.

Heard about HOTEL EL CABALLO BLANCO from a person who'd stayed and super glad we took her advice. Location in town could not be better. It would be impossible to find a hotel that is better situated in that town. The owner was a wealth of knowledge and committed to making our stay perfect. We stayed 5 day and 4 nights and on our last night we had a wonderful dinner at the roof-top restaurant. Street parking was as simple as it gets, our room had a balcony that was right on top of the boardwalk and super close to the ocean. When we go back we would not think of staying anywhere else. This town is going to be a very popular destination once the word gets out how fabulous Mahahaul is. HOTEL EL CABALLO BLANCO is not a luxury hotel by any stretch of the imagination but we were not looking for a luxury location. The amenities fit the location, nothing fancy. Everything worked, we had two queen beds and both we awesome and we always felt like the staff would do anything to make our stay perfect.

I stayed here for 4 nights. This is a beautiful hotel that sits right on the malecón and beach! The bed was super soft and they have hot showers- both things that can be hard to find in Mexico. The view is fabulous! This would be a great spot for an intimate wedding or romantic getaway! There is a small rooftop pool with a fantastic view. I had dinner cooked by a private Italian chef who will cook elaborate meals for you on the roof. His wife performs while you dine and sings both opera and other music while you eat. You won’t find this kind of meal elsewhere in Mahahual! I highly recommend this hotel!

We had a great time here. The room and pool were very nice. Everything was kept very clean. We stayed for a week. Tina was the go to person for most questions. Very helpful. Unfortunately were there when the covid-19 hit and all cruise ships were cancelled.Kinda nice and quite but most places shut down while we were there. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here in early January and had a fabulous stay. It was easy to find, right in the center of town on Malecon/Beach. Tina the owner was willing to help with anything we needed or provide information! There are restaurants all around and you can even get food and drinks delivered to the beach right outside your room. Dive shop AND ice cream shop right next door. The rooms and bathrooms were large and clean..overall perfect stay on the beach!

The place is awesome. Clean, friendly, and what a view. We arrived by ship and ventured into this area, quite by accident. Stayed with my wife at Hotel El Caballo Blanco for a couple of nights at the end of September. The hotel is well located in the centre of the malecon, the room was very well appointed and clean and the sea view from the balcony suites was fantastic. However, its greatest asset was the owner Tina who was always on hand to give sound advice and sort out any issues to the best of her ability. Will I stay at Caballo Blanco if I return to Mahahual? Absolutely, I wouldn't consider anywhere else.

The owner Tina is a dream. Great staff helped us with everything from ordering food to giving directions. Beautiful view from this well kept, centrally located hotel. Real Mexican experience with modern amenities. Loved our experience.

We had an excellent stay here and Tina is the perfect host! The hotel has a perfect central location in Mahahual close to everything. It is a small and cozy place and everything worked perfectly! when you go here please remember to check out and enjoy the roof top terrace with the small pool!

This was our second stay at Caballo Blanco. We discovered Mahahual in 2017 and had to come back for more! Everything about our stay here was phenomenal! The balcony view is priceless! We all had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go back again. Thank you to Tina for so many great recommendations!
