The rooms were very spacious and clean. The bathroom also has a spacious shower and an additional bathtub. Hosts were very friendly and the pool is a cool add-on. We were very happy with the hotel.

Clean, rooms always ready upon arrival no matter what time. Second time staying here and would fully recommend to anyone starting Ha Giang loop to start here.

As a photographer I spend almost the entire year at my favourite hotel, the Sky Bay Lodge in Ha Giang, Vietnam. The location is ideal for starting the world-famous „Ha Giang Loop“ . Beautiful rice terraces are also nearby. Fortunately, the hotel is located 3 km outside the city, surrounded by nature, so it's very quiet and relaxing, and you don't have to worry about smog. Furthermore, there are beautiful hiking trails through rice paddies nearby. They have a wide selection of rooms, from very inexpensive to very comfortable. The house is run by a very nice family, especially Manager Ms. Tuyet who speaks perfect English. She will arrange an inexpensive taxi (50,000 VND = 1.90 USD) for the 3 km from the bus station to the hotel. They have a wide selection of rooms, from inexpensive to very comfortable. The location is ideal for starting the world-famous „Ha Giang Loop“ . Beautiful rice terraces are also nearby. Furthermore, there are beautiful hiking trails through rice paddies nearby. Luxurious, beautiful view, romantic, quiet, family-friendly, good value for money, technically well-equipped Food: Limited selection, therefore very good quality.

De mensen waren zo enorm lief. Zorgzaam en denken mee. Ze doen echt hun best om alles ook netjes te houden. Je voelt je heel welkom en het is zo een unieke ervaring in deze omgeving.

Very quiet at the end of the road with forest and mountains in view. Good food and clean accommodation. Bike hire available. Sat and relaxed on deckchairs on balcony after doing the loop.

Pool was out of use. Looked dirty on arrival then it was emptied whilst we were there. Need a taxi to go anywhere as town and restaurants 30-45 min walk.

Weg vom lauten Zentrum, frische Bettwäsche und kuschelige Badetücher. Karaoke hat um 22:30 aufgehört, danach war es sehr ruhig zum schlafen. Bequemes, grosses Bett.

Nachttischlampe fehlt. Anfangs Januar ohne Heizung sehr kalt. Wände sind ringhörig.

La amabilidad del hotel fue magnífica, todos muy serviciales y simpáticos. Nos gestionaron traslados y el Loop. La comida estaba buena. Habitación limpia y espaciosa con calefacción y aire acondicionado. Llegamos el mismo día que lo reservamos y aun así nos encontraron tour. Al marcharnos ella misma nos llevó a la estación y nos dijo a qué bus meternos. Eternamente agradecido.

Me gustaría tal vez una televisión. La pizza no estuvo muy buena pero eso es problema mío por pedir pizza en Vietnam.

Have stayed in the bungalow accommodation twice now, very nice and clean, big rooms. Staff were also helpful and accommodating. Will book again.

Food was delicious - recommended to eat a meal here! We spend the morning in the pool chilling. Very relaxing out of the City! Recommended.

The place is excellently located and is surrounded by mountains so it is absolutely scenic. The staff are lovely and very helpful; they allowed me to leave a bag whilst I did the Ha Giang loop - as it was my end destination. Giang, a member of staff, offered to take me out and show me Ha Giang and again for breakfast - super nice and kind people.

We really loved this hotel. The service was exceptional and the view was amazing. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because both nights we stayed, there were other guests that were very loud throughout the night and no one addressed it. We intentionally chose this hotel to be outside of the noise of the city, so it was a bummer to be kept up all night regardless. Also, their food was only ok and there was nothing else close by. Otherwise it was very comfortable and a beautiful property.

Was by far the best location i found along my trip to the north big and comfortable rooms, amazing view, friendly host away from noise in such a wonderful place 5 mn ride to the center… can’t recommend enough 😍

The breakfast was good I had eggs and my friend had banana pancakes - both were good and so was the coffee.

I would prefer brown bread to white but that's personal taste. They have a lot of Vietnamese guests and I know from living here they they prefer white, sweet bread.

Ik sliep in het huis zelf waar ook de algemene ruimte etc. Is. Super gehorig waardoor je best wat geluidsoverlast had. Airco in de kamer aanwezig, echter blaast deze precies op het bed in je gezicht, helaas niet anders in te stellen. Zwembad had van mij iets koeler gemogen

un emplacement magnifique, éloigné du centre mais très beau. Ils nous ont organisé notre Ha Giang Loop, et c'était plus que parfait (3 jours/2 nuits). Ils ont également été très arrangeants nous permettant de libérer nos chambres pendant notre moto trip... Très sympa !

Peaceful - fresh air

Peaceful location but poor service. Room was unclean, pool water made my eyes red. Owner was unfriendly, showed clear favoritism toward a Dutch couple. The only positive was a kind H’mong staff named Sùng. Many better and cheaper options in Hà Giang.

1. The bed was dirty and made me itchy — very uncomfortable to sleep in. 2. The owner had a cold, unfriendly attitude and treated us like we were not welcome.

The service was great. They spoke good english! But they helped us so much with renting a scooter and not getting fined. It’s great help because while driving the loop we got stopped by police 5 times. And the fines are high.. also care with alcohol. They test aswell. Just ask them for some info at this hotel before you do the loop :)

I thought my stay at Sky Bay Lodge was exceptionally excellent value, it has been the most luxurious hotel that I have ever had the privilege to stay, IMy only regret is that I did not book at least a week there. I would recommend this hotel to everybody,

There was nothing not to dislike

Huge room, beautiful views. We had a herbal bath which was nice.

The bathroom only had cold water. We requested food with no egg but it came with egg.

- In terms of property and location, it’s absolutely worth the money. No complains there. Swimming pool is clean, room is exactly what you pay for (and clean) and the people, although English is sometimes not spoken at all, are nice and try their absolute best.

- For us, the food provided was such a let down that it tars on our full experience. Their location is further away from Ha Giang, so their food is basically the only option. If you order beef, you got dry beef cooked in water with no seasoning at all and dry rice. It was actually a disgusting sight. We ordered multiple things and none of the plates were eatable. - No warnings before arrival on construction noises across the room.

A comfortable and good value homestay which was a perfect starting point for the Ha Giang loop. The highlight for me was the staff - so helpful and lovely - we felt like part of the family!

This is an amazing place, with nice rooms and views and the staff is super nice and welcoming! You can also get some great breakfast and dinner here! We did the Ha Giang loop and rented a scooter through them which was super nice because they were very helpful with choosing routes, what to see and with eventual problems on the trip because we could always write/call them and they would answer immediately.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome and at home. Rooms were clean and spacious with ample power sockets, storage space and bedside lighting.

I love this place! The family that runs it is amazing! I’ve stayed here multiple times and will continue to come back in the future. If you’re looking for a peaceful homestay away from the crowds of the city, this is the place!

Everything was amazing! Food is good and affordable. The family is amazing. The views are beautiful. WiFi works perfectly. And there’s air and heat plus a fan in the room, so you are comfortable no matter the weather. And the hot water and the strong water pressure was one of the best showers I’ve had in Southeast Asia! This was my 3rd stay and I will be back again in the future

This place was beautiful. The view from the room was amazing! The 2 sisters that run the homestay are so friendly and make sure you have everything you need. It’s located outside of the town so it’s very peaceful. The food is good and very reasonably priced. They had a very affordable laundry service. They booked my bus to Sa Pa for me, drove me straight to the bus, and even helped me load my bags onto the bus. This was one of my favorite stays in my 3 weeks on Vietnam.

Zero complaints. This place is AMAZING

The staff were absolutely wonderful. The bungalows were 10/10 in every way. They go the extra mile to make you feel at home. They help you with any concern you have, either with respect to the lodge, or any other travel related issues. They have made my trip to the Ha Giang loop 10 times better. The only negative is that every other place you stay at will be garbage compared to Sky Bay.

The staff was always smiling and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are very clean. The surroundings are quiet, except for some construction going on next door during the day. The view over the rice paddies is breathtaking. The pool is very clean. The food is great. One day we ordered a fish from their own pond which was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect place to get some rest before and after the Hà Giang loop.

Very nice spacious room with high ceiling, comfortable bed, kettle, water and clean bathroom. Dinner and breakfast available at the restaurant. One of the staff speaks excellent English. Location outside Ha Giang makes it a nice retreat away from the city. I got a very good price being low season.

Beautiful place, Ha Giang is nice but it's way better to stay in Sky Bay, in the nature, rice fields all around, quiet, big rooms, nice pool great food.

Great place to relax and unwind - or work for that matter! I stayed in one of the suites and it was gorgeous! The whole property is stunning and quite fun to explore the surrounding area. It's a bit secluded, so if you don't have a scooter it would be worth arranging a bicycle for the duration of your stay. The family is lovely and very accommodating.

I was allowed to early check-in 3 hours which was honestly great

The staff were lovely and went out of their way to be of assistance - especially Winnie, who helped us arrange a Ha Giang Loop bike tour and made bookings for transport from Hanoi and return.

Initially we were wanting to ride on our own, but Winnie arranged wonderful riders to take us - Chai and Wei. So what we were disappointed with initially, turned out really well.

The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are friendly and kind. Winni helped organise a motorbike tour which was great fun and she also helped organise my onward journey. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay!

Arriving at the property was 'interesting' as we usually book in town. This hotel has been built in a beautiful rural area on the edge of town, and has running stream alongside, and is ringed by low hills. Really a very peaceful location. The rooms are separate stand-alone cabins, and have been very well constructed with good doors and windows, and good window coverings, that really do exclude daylight (this is something often sub-standard in small hotels - decent curtains!) The construction is two years old in 2024, and has no defects.... its a very sound and expensive standard the place was built to, so I expect the hotel will stay fresh for quite some time. There is a pool, but we did not use it - this pool is designed as a child-friendly pool - full marks ! The dining area is a fully-roofed outside area, although there is an indoor area we didn't use. Kitchen produced good meals, and we were served by family members who did a great job. The bathroom in our cabin was fantastic - stylish, functional and large.... I REALLY APPRECIATED THE DESIGN THOUGHT THAT HAD GONE INTO THIS HOTEL, AND THE HIGH ATTENTION TO DETAILS. Thus is a family owned operation, and everyone was truly friendly and helpful.

There is really nothing I can point to .... a few mosquitos maybe, but that's expected.
