One thing I noticed right away was how nice the lobby smelled. It made the hotel feel welcoming from the moment I walked in. There was some outside noise in the morning, although it wasn’t enough to bother me too much.

There was one small thing I needed help with during my stay, so I spoke to the manager. They were attentive, listened to what I needed, and took the time to understand the situation. I never felt like I was being rushed or ignored. Everything was handled in a calm and professional way, which I really appreciated. It’s a small detail, but these kinds of interactions can make a stay feel much more comfortable.

The calm atmosphere was probably my favourite thing about staying here. After busy days, it was nice to come back somewhere that felt quiet rather than crowded or noisy. The staff were also genuinely friendly and made me feel welcome without being too formal. My room was slightly smaller than expected, but it was well organised and had everything I needed. Once I had unpacked, I didn’t really notice the size anymore. For a short stay, it worked well for me.

Breakfast was one of the small things I enjoyed during my stay. The kitchen staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and the service was generally quick. I liked being able to sit down, have breakfast without much waiting, and then get on with my plans for the day. We liked the location because it gave us a good chance to experience the food and everyday atmosphere of Hanoi. There were lots of small local restaurants nearby, along with cafés and other places to explore. Many of the city's popular attractions were also easy to get to, so we didn't spend too much time travelling around. Sofia was very friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations. She suggested a few places that we probably wouldn't have found on our own, which was really useful during our stay.

Le lit était vraiment confortable et j’ai très bien dormi pendant mon séjour. La chambre était agréable dans l’ensemble et disposait de tout ce dont j’avais besoin. Le seul petit point à signaler était la climatisation, qui a mis un peu de temps à rafraîchir la chambre, surtout au début. À part cela, tout était bien et j’ai passé un séjour très confortable.

Le hall et les couloirs étaient très propres et bien entretenus pendant tout mon séjour. J’ai également remarqué un parfum léger et agréable dans l’air, sans être trop fort ni envahissant. C’est un petit détail, mais en voyageant seul, j’ai apprécié ce genre de petites attentions qui rendent l’hôtel plus confortable et accueillant. L’ensemble donnait une première impression très agréable dès mon arrivée.

It wasn't the kind of room with lots of luxury touches or fancy decoration, but I actually liked how simple and comfortable it was. There was enough space for my things, and everything I needed was within easy reach. After spending most of the day out exploring, it was nice to come back to a room where I could relax and unwind. The room felt pleasant and easy to settle into, and I had no major issues during my stay. For a short trip, I think it offered a good balance between comfort and practicality. It may not be the most luxurious room I've stayed in, but it did exactly what I needed and gave me a comfortable place to rest at the end of the day.

I enjoyed my stay overall and found the room to be a comfortable place to relax after a busy day. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the room had a pleasant atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. The bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep, which was especially welcome after spending hours walking around and sightseeing. The only thing I would change is the lighting. It was quite soft at night and sometimes felt a little too dark, especially when I needed to get ready or pack my things. Still, this was only a minor issue and didn't really affect my overall experience.

The photos of the room online and the reality feel very different, paint clipping off the wall and it was dirty. There was a window that looked upon pipes and an empty dirty wall. The room had an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom and the breakfast could be described as average at best. At checkout the staff asked for my experience and after telling them about all things we felt could be improved they got defensive, explained that we didn’t understand the hotel scene in the old quarters and that we had a great deal for the price we paid. (This was not our first stay in a hotel in the city or area). Trying to explain why the smell, state of the room or cleanliness were not the hotel’s fault. I don’t understand why ask for feedback if you are not interested in self improvement or costumer experience but if the staff care most of these problems are relatively fixable.

The room had no window. Was cold and no blankets on beds. The bathroom floor was not clean and the tv was hopeless

The staff were really friendly throughout our stay and always easy to talk to. Whenever we had a question or needed help with something, they were happy to assist and never made us feel like we were asking too much. We also had breakfast at the hotel each morning. The food was fresh and tasted good, although the selection was a little limited and I would have liked to see more choices. After a few mornings, some of the options felt a bit repetitive. Apart from that, the service was good and everything was handled smoothly.

I was quite happy with the housekeeping during my stay. The room was kept clean and tidy, and it was refreshed regularly while I was out. Whenever I saw the housekeeping staff, they were polite and friendly, and they always gave me space. I liked that the room stayed organised without the cleaning feeling disruptive. After being out for most of the day, it was nice to come back to a clean room and everything put back in place.

The quiet room and comfortable bed were probably the best parts of my stay. It was easy to rest at night without much noise from outside. The Wi-Fi was not always stable, though, and I had some trouble with the connection from time to time. I told the staff about it and they were willing to help. Other than that, I had no major problems during my stay.

The staff were so accommodating even if my check in time was 1AM!😊 The breakfast is great too! My room and bed are spacious and big respectively.

Nothing to complain for my first night stay but when we moved to the 2 rooms the following nights, the tvs on the 2 rooms weren't working.

I never felt uncomfortable or awkward when I needed to ask for something, even for small questions. They were easy to talk to and always willing to help when they could. What I appreciated most was that their attitude felt natural rather than overlyformal. They were there when I needed them but also gave me plenty of privacy. It made the stay feel easy and relaxed from beginning to end.

I noticed a pleasant scent throughout the common areas. It was a little strong for my taste, and I would probably prefer something more subtle. Still, it gave the place a fresh and welcoming feel, and overall I liked the atmosphere.

- Murs sales et tachés - Chaud et humide dans la chambre: on ne pouvait allumer la climatisation que lorsque l’on revenait avec notre carte et cela prenait enormement de temps pour rafraichir la chambre - Le receptioniste, Pete, a prétendu que notre carte bancaire ne marchait pas pour nous faire payer en espèce. Il a ajouté un frais de service supplémentaire dans les frais qui n’ont jamais été mentionné auparavant et lorsque j’ai demandé une facture, il a ré-imprimé une différente facture que celle qui m’a présenté sans la mention de ce soit disant "frais de service" - Manque de professionalisme de Pete egalement: on le trouvait souvent allongé sur le canapé sur son téléphone quand on rentrait dans l’hotel

The lobby gave us a really nice first impression. As soon as we walked in, we noticed a soft fragrance that made the whole area feel fresh and clean. I stayed in room 506 and really liked the fact that it was quiet at night. This might sound like a small thing, but when you’re traveling and spending the whole day outside, getting a proper night’s sleep is pretty important. The room was peaceful enough that I wasn’t bothered by much noise, so I could relax and sleep without any problems. I also liked coming back in the evening when everything was calmer and having some time to myself before bed. There were no major issues with the room during my stay, and overall I found it comfortable and easy to settle into. If I had to pick one thing I liked most, it would definitely be how quiet it was at night.

I found Room 402 to be a very comfortable and practical space. The room was tidy, clean, and everything was in good condition. I personally liked the simple decoration because it made the room feel more spacious and relaxing. Sometimes rooms with too many decorations can feel overwhelming, but this one had a nice balance. It was a great place to rest after a day of sightseeing and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay.

It was nicely arranged, and I liked the overall atmosphere. The space felt welcoming and was a good place to come back to after spending the day outside. The only thing I would have preferred was a bit more storage. If you have several bags or like to unpack everything when you travel, you might find the storage a little limited. I personally didn’t find it too inconvenient because my stay was short, so I could manage with what was available. Apart from that, I had no real complaints about the room and found it a comfortable place to stay.

Max was one of the people who made my stay easier. He was very friendly and whenever I needed help, he responded quickly and did his best to sort things out. I appreciated how approachable he was and how easy it was to ask him questions. The service felt personal and friendly rather than overly formal, which I really liked. I had no issues during my stay and was happy with the way everything was handled.

A special thanks to Violet, who was so friendly and helpful when I asked about things to do around the hotel. She was patient with all my questions and gave me some great ideas for places to visit. It was really helpful, especially since I wanted to explore the area on my own.

I would like to give a special mention to Pete for his excellent service. He was friendly, professional, and very patient whenever I needed assistance. I had several questions, and he explained everything in a clear and straightforward way, making sure I understood before moving on. His helpful attitude made a few things that could have been stressful much simpler. I really appreciated the time and attention he gave me and felt well looked after throughout my stay.

The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful when we arrived. Check-in was quick and easy, so we didn’t have to wait around after long day of traveling. They explained everything clearly and made sure we had what we needed before heading to our room. It was a simple but nice first impression, and we appreciated how welcoming they were.

Nous avions oublié nos clés de maison et de voiture ainsi qu'un chéquier et un livret de famille dans le coffre fort de notre chambre. L'hôtel nous a indiqué qu'elle nous les mettait de côté pour que nous puissions les récupérer à notre retour à Hanoï quelques jours plus tard juste avant que nous reprenions un avion pour revenir en France. À notre retour dans cet hôtel, nos clés, livret de famille et chéquier ne nous ont pas été remis. Le personnel de l'accueil les avait égarés et nous a indiqué que les femmes de ménage avaient dû les jeter par inadvertance. Résultat : obligés de faire ouvrir nos maisons et voiture à notre retour en France par un serrurier.

We booked an overnight boat cruise through the tour desk in the lobby, and the lady there was incredibly helpful. She explained the options clearly and helped us choose a cruise that turned out to be fantastic. Having a reliable travel desk right at the hotel was incredibly convenient and saved us a lot of time. The hotel itself was central, modern, and very clean, making it a great base for exploring Hanoi.

We were really impressed by the level of service throughout our stay, especially from the bellman. He was professional, friendly, and always ready to lend a hand whenever we needed assistance. Whether it was helping with our luggage, giving us directions, or answering a quick question, he handled everything with a smile and ever made us feel like we were bothering him. His service was consistently quick and thoughtful, and his welcoming attitude made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. It was a small but memorable part of our stay, and we truly appreciated his hospitality.

The staff seemed a little disorganised at times. Some were genuinely friendly and helpful, particularly Max, while others appeared less attentive or engaged. The bathroom was extremely small, and the layout made simple things like applying make-up quite difficult.

We appreciated how easy it was to reach different places around the city center withot needing complicated transportation. It was the perfect choice for travelers who want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Hanoi while enjoying a comfortable stay.

The central location made a big difference to our Hanoi experience. We could easily walk to Hoan Kiem Lake and spend time exploring the walking streets, especially in the evening when the area becomes full of energy. There were also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and local attractions within easy reach. We loved being able to leave the hotel and start exploring straight away without having to rely on transportation all the time.

Finding a place so ideally situated near Hoan Kiem Lake made our time in Hanoi truly unforgettable. The location put us right in the center of all the action, yet gave us the luxury of soaking in the city’s rich charm at our own pace. Whether we wanted an early morning stroll around the lake or a late-night wander through the lively walking street, everything was just a short walk away. It made our whole travel experience feel so seamless and relaxed.

Hoan Kiem Lake was within easy walking distance, and we loved being close to the walking streets where we could experience the lively atmosphere of the city. There were also plenty of restaurants, cafés, and local attractions around the hotel. We could simply walk out and start exploring, which was exactly what we wanted during our stay.

It was a terrible experience

Everything: cleaning and general appearance of common spaces and room, unprepared and unfriendly staff, safety hazard due to the blocking of staircases (4th floor) with two mattresses randomly positioned. The room we booked (a suite with city view) had a view on an internal service shaft/courtyard, and the air conditioning wasn’t working - so that they had to put a fan on the floor - a fan connected to the lights circuit. Moreover, it was not ready when we arrived at nighttime (around. 10pm)

The bellman was one of the people who made our stay especially pleasant. He was always around when we needed help and never hesitated to assist us. His service was quick and professional, but also warm and friendly, which made a great impression on us. We really appreciated his positive attitude and the care he showed toward guests throughout our stay.

Hoan Kiem Lake is within easy walking distance, and the surrounding Old Quarter is full of charming streets, restaurants, cafés, and local attractions. We enjoyed being able to step outside and immediately experience the energy and character of Hanoi. For travelers who want to stay close to the main sights and explore the city easily, this location is hard to beat.

One of the biggest advantages of Amara Hanoi Hotel & Spa is its location. We were close to Hoan Kiem Lake and the Walking Street, with plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and attractions nearby. Being able to walk around and explore Hanoi so easily made our stay much more enjoyable and saved us a lot of time getting around.

Hoan Kiem Lake and the Walking Street were close enough to reach on foot, and there were plenty of local restaurants and cafés in the surrounding streets. We enjoyed exploring the area during the day and in the evening.
