Запах сигарет в номере при заселении. И спустя несколько дней он вновь появился, тк в каком то из номеров начали курить. Муж позвонил на ресепшен, пришла сотрудник девушка, быстро зашла, постояла у двери и вышла и сказала, что запаха нет. Хотя это было неправдой Тк мы не курящие , то очень чувствительны к дыму сигарет. Персонал не знает английский язык и это очень затрудняет общение.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Shenzhen Futian Center for 4 days and 3 nights in a Standard Room. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would like to share my experience. Pros: 1. The hotel is located in a quiet and serene neighbourhood, providing a relaxing environment away from the busy city centre. 2. Travelling to the CBD and other popular destinations was convenient, with DiDi readily available and reasonably priced. 3. I was impressed with the compact yet well-maintained room. The room was clean, comfortable, and efficiently designed. 4. The bathroom amenities were adequate, and sufficient bath towels and hand towels were provided throughout my stay. 5. The Queen-size bed was comfortable and came with four pillows, ensuring a good night's sleep. 6. The mini bar was well stocked, which was a pleasant surprise. 7. The breakfast selection was good and provided a satisfying start to each day.
Areas for Improvement: 1. The hotel should consider having more front desk staff who are able to communicate in English. This would greatly improve the experience for international guests and facilitate smoother communication. 2. There was some confusion regarding my reservation and payment status. I had assumed that the room had been fully paid through Booking.com, but this was not the case. It would be helpful if the hotel and Booking.com could work more closely together to ensure reservation and payment details are clearly communicated to guests. 3. Prior to arrival, I had requested a room located in the middle section of the corridor. However, I was assigned a connecting room and was not informed of this arrangement during check-in. Personally, I do not prefer connecting rooms, and I would have appreciated being consulted or informed beforehand. Overall Experience: Despite the above concerns, my stay at the Holiday Inn Express Shenzhen Futian Center was enjoyable. The clean and comfortable room, pleasant surroundings, good breakfast, and convenient access to the city contributed to a positive experience. With some improvements in guest communication and front desk language support, the overall guest experience could be enhanced further. Thank you to the hotel team for your hospitality, and I look forward to visiting Shenzhen again in the future.

The top floor bar and pool area is lovely but there isnt enough outside seating to accomodate the number of guests staying. There are 2 stools and one table and 2 chairs, we never were able to sit outside.
This really isnt in Futian centre, its not near anything at all and taxis are required to get anywhere. There are no convenience stores nearby so ordering delivery is the only way to get food and items delivered. The location and name is misleading, its not in Futian. The staff are not helpful at all, and even with translator apps we felt there was a reluctance to really assist us with anything at all, it felt quite isolating. Nothing in the hotel is translated into both english and chinese which is pretty standard for most Chinese hotels, and the staff do not speak any basic English at all. The breakfast was 'ok' but it was nothing remarkable, overall we would not stay here again as the location is misleading and its not equipped to handle international travellers with ease. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable and the pillows felt like clay to lay on, we did not sleep well at all during our stay here.

Had to pay 200rmb per night for extra bed and this was not transmitted by booking.com. So we were very surprised by this extra charge. Otherwise, we may have chosen other hotels. Also, we had to pay 400rmb as deposit and we are yet to receive it back.

Special mention of their hotel reception - LEO who was so helpful in guiding us how to use Didi app for car booking and sharing with us the area around the hotel; and also their manager SIMON who was really nice in assisting with our luggage deposit that had some perishable! Thanks Simon, Leo and the house keeping lady on 15th floor (we didn't get her name)!

Reviewed May 26, 2026In room amenities and floor layout. Room was much larger than anticipated. Good water pressure in the shower. WC is equipped with an electronic bidet with seat warmer. Great breakfast selection, and even though we stayed for a week there was enough variety on a daily basis to keep it interesting with healthy choices and clearly marked allergy notices for each dish served. Good coffee and breakfast tea. Quiet neighborhood and no construction/noise. Some rooms overlook the golf course. My room overlooked a school/ running track and residential buildings. Full payment for the entire stay was collected at check-in and I paid with a non-China credit card with no issues. Daily room service provided housekeeping and fresh towels. In-house washing machine and dryer provided but you will need the Alipay app to use them. Washing detergent is already included in the washing machine with no manual handling or additional cost. It was around ¥30 for a 30+ minute wash and another ¥30 for a 45 minute dry cycle. Laundry room is located on level 9 on besides the restaurant entrance.
It's around a 20 minute walk to the nearest metro station so not as convenient, however, getting around via Didi app was easy and more convenient.
