It was a great location and the staff was super nice! Also really cute dog. Rooms were basic but the price is also really cheap. Beds were also comfy and the fan and balcony were a nice addition. So overall would definitely recommend if you are looking for a cheap stay in Hanoi.

The AC was dripping really badly but it didn’t really matter.

מקום לא נגיש ממש, קצת נסתר כמו שהשם מרמז. אין מעלית, והוויב של המקום קצת שבור. יש מלא אופציות אחרות בהאנוי, לא הייתי עושה שם יותר מלילה.

Đầu tiên là cô con gái cô chủ nhà siêu nice từ khi book phòng, mình đặt p tầng 5, cơ mà bạn nói tầng 5 sẽ khá nóng nên đã sx cho m xuống p tầng 3, có ban công và rộn rãi. Cô chú chủ nhà cũng rất thân thiện, có bạn Mun đáng yêu, bé nhà mình rất thích chơi với bé. Phòng rộng rãi, đầy đủ tiện nghi, vị trí trung tâm, gần phố đi bộ, gần điểm bus, các tiện ích, di chuyển khá là okie.

What I liked: I really liked that the hotel is located right in the city center. Everything is within walking distance, including restaurants, bars, shops, and attractions, which made it very convenient to explore the area

What I didn’t like: The hotel is located inside a small alley, which can be difficult to find at first. However, if you enjoy a more local and authentic atmosphere, you might actually like this. Our room was on the fourth floor, and since there is no elevator, carrying luggage upstairs was a bit inconvenient. The bathroom looked old and wasn’t completely clean, and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. That said, if you’re traveling on a budget and mainly need a place to sleep in a central location, it can still be a good option.

We really enjoyed this stay. It is literally hidden down an alley off the main street. You walk past a kitchen on the right that was always feeding locals throughout the day. It was calm, easy and felt like our own little home in the heart of Hanoi. You are very close to the centre, just a few minutes away from the busy spots. Our hosts were very helpful and accomodating, always happy to see us and there is a very cute, tiny dog that greets you every day at the stairs.

Juste pour prendre une douche entre deux vols. Le personnel est aimable et arrangeant.

Airconditioner weak, it was still warm there during these days when it is 36 degrees outside. Bathroom and windows would need a little update

Great location in the heart of the Old Quarter ‘hidden ‘ down a little alley 1st room we had on 1st floor was a bit dark and tired We then moved up a floor and the room was great, very comfortable, big bathroom Some of the plugs didn’t work but there was enough that did. Bed and sheets lovely and clean Balcony isn’t great but it was lovely to be able to open the door The hotel has the cutest little dog too!

Room and Bathroom was spacious and comfortable. We had a big window with a shutter which blocked out the light and a shared balcony with the room next door. Location was excellent, right in the thick of the old quarter but also down a quiet alley so it wasn't too loud. Staff were all friendly. Compfy bed, the first we've seen since travelling in SE Asia for a month! Shower was hot, good pressure. Had wardrobe space.

Lots of plugs but only 10% of them actually worked, so a lucky dip. The room wasn't dirty but it also wasn't as clean as it could be. It was rather dusty in places. A little rough around the edges but overall a nice place with everything you need. Also no lift so worth considering if you don't want to climb up 3 floors. But personally, not an issue. If you want to come back to your room after 11pm, it's worth noting that you'll need to wake one of the staff by wither whatsapping or ringing the doorbell as they lock the gate at the end of the alley. But they have no problem opening it up for you, we had no issues.

Location

Bathroom / shower was dirty. Had drain flies everywhere. Facilities were run down and the neighbours were noisy of a night.

The property is in a great location, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. It has all the basics and everything you need for a comfortable stay

The location felt a bit uncertain as it’s down a long, dark alley and the reception area could have been cleaner. My bed was also very firm, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. Overall, it’s fine if you’re looking for something simple, but I felt the price was too high for what it offered

Un buen sitio para estar cerca de todo, personal atento y dispuesto a ayudar. Nos dejaron entrar antes del check in, y luego el día de la salida pudimos dejar nuestras maletas todo el día y nosorganizaron la vuelta.

L’accés fins a l’hotel és per un carrer molt estret, envoltat de deixalles i trastos. El lavabo és vell, la tovallola estava trencada i l’entrada de l’hotel es troba totalment desendreçada.

It is our third stay at this guesthouse - it is well-located, good value and has all that we need. We will be back!

Extremely well located in the Hanoï old town. People really sympathic and welcoming with a water bottle per person. But... Not so clean, bathroom namely. Following storm, water intéressant by the windows.

The room itself is very big with high ceilings.

Its location is kinda hard to navigate. There were also cockroaches found in the property. The bathroom is not that spacious.

The location is good and the bed comfortable.

There is dead cockroaches in the room from the moment we step into the room. And they only provide drinking water for the first day. For extended stay, it is payable.

Quick easy check-in. Allowed early check in. No street noise.

Not as nice as photos!!! Disappointed. Decor was very tired. Walls & ceilings really need repainting etc. Stairs not clean. Room not very clean. Wall had random paper cover hole! Plug sockets not working. Not mentioned that balcony was shared with neighbouring room. Meant locking door for security & privacy. Closing door because neighbours smoking outside. No privacy. Bed not that comfortable. Noise from construction in neighbours courtyard property.

Very cold in the room, no heating available. They recommend to use hair dryer as heating. No soundproof from noise.

Aircon was great!! Bed was comfy. Hosts were welcoming, did our laundry (for a small fee) and delivered it to us. Dog was cute. Big bathroom. Balcony was nice even without view. Was fairly quiet. In a good location, close to water and also silk street.

It took us a while to figure out which side street to walk down as the signage for the hotel was on the small street we couldn't find 🤣

I liked the location, which was very central. It is quiet, older-style accommodation, but it had everything you could want.

There was a kettle to make tea or coffee, but no cup.

Very good location, good price for this Guest House, very friendly Family. I recommend 🙏

Could use some dusting off in parts The walls are barely walls, you could hear some noise from outside but nothing major

This place is so good that we stayed there twice and I am reviewing it twice. It is down a really quiet and peaceful alleyway right in the heart of chaotic Hanoi. An absolute haven of peace and tranquility at a very reasonable price. The family that run it are lovely and could not have been more helpful.

Nothing not to like

This is a beautifully quiet and peaceful place to stay. It is tucked up a tiny little alleyway off the road so that when you get in there you get absolute tranquility. The family that own it are really pleasant. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony facing onto a small courtyard. Good hot shower was really welcome. The location is perfect as it is in the middle of the old quarter and only a few minutes from both the lake and train street. It was great value for money and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Nothing not to like about this place.

This was our second time staying as we loved it. Great value for money. Staff are lovely. Location is perfect. Very clean. They are available all night so it’s perfect if you have a night bus or similar. Highly recommend!

Just to be aware if you have accessibility requirements, there are many stairs and no elevator. The laundry was also questionable both times (bleached sock, a few stains, returned damp, and gained a few extra clothes!) but not sure if it’s done on or offsite. The hotel itself is great though

The guesthouse is very centrally located, and as the name suggests, it's hidden from the road up a narrow alley. It was amazingly cheap, and we just used it as a base before our late night flight home. So we didn't sleep in the room. But it was perfect for our needs.

Don't expect anything fancy. It's basic but friendly. But for the price, what do you expect!?

It was a great place to stay. Loved the location. Loved the room on level 5. In fact, we loved it so much we are going back! Thanks!

Tucked down a little alley way it was off the clamor of the Hanoi streets

In the public spaces it was pretty grubby but - my room was clean and it was a cheap place and did the job fine

Location was great. Very central but because it is located back from the street quite quiet at night. Comfortable bed and decent sized room, staff was very friendly.

Excellent place. Has everything you need and the rooms are quite large. Provided water, towels, and soap. Plenty of hot water. Plus a cute dog always greeted me at the entrance. Love this place!

We found this hotel great value for money. The rooms are nice and big and the shower was lovely and strong. The lady managing the hotel is also very sweet. It is literally hidden from the streets so there is no noise coming in from the outside.

The walls between rooms are a little thin, so you can hear other guests in the guesthouse if they are loud, but this was not a big deal for us.

It truly is a hidden guesthouse, but nicely located in Old Quarter which means it is easy to get around by foot. The Hoan Kiem river is just a few mins walk and at night, you can easily get to the streets of night market, "party street" etc. Because it was cold, no aircond was needed (not sure if there is heater though), but it was a good stay PS, highly recommend to book a pick up from airport with them as Grab is hard to get upon arrival and taxi costs a lot, about 500k dong

The location is very central! The room is huge with a balcony and private bathroom. Wi-Fi is very high speed. The family is very helpful too, they are always there ready to help. 🌟🌟🌟

The only downside is it gets cold at night, especially during winter season. But everything else is excellent!

Everything, authentic accommodation in the heart of the old quarter,staff were pleasant and friendly and very helpful especially Didi who shone like a star!! We enjoyed the stay, wonderful , nice and quiet too.

I didn’t like anything about the property. The photos were very misleading as were some of the reviews.

Located at the end of a dark dodgy alley. The hotel was shoddy and dirty and desperately needs a good makeover. Rising damp in our bedroom and a broken shower. The staff made no attempt to explain how to activate the hot water and no signage was visible in the room so I didn’t even bother having one. Value for money? Absolutely not. In my opinion, the hidden guest house isn’t worth finding!

Quiet location off the street, easy to walk to hoan kiem lake, luckily we stayed over the weekend which was closed off to vehicles so a much more relaxed feel when not having to navigate the busy roads with all of that crazy traffic....and constant car and scooter horns.

The hustle and bustle and noise of hanoi, but then I don't like cities, so any city would have made me feel the same. Sometimes it has to be done though, for the experience.

There aren’t enough places to leave your clothes. The reception area could be more welcoming.

This place is amazing! Located in the best part of the old town, it is still hidden away in a quiet side street. It is an old house with a lot of charme. The beds are really comfy too and the little balcony is intreaging. But the best is part is the staff: Didi was such a big help and the friendliest person I have met in Vietnam. I would come back any time. Thank you so much for having us! :)

The house is old and has some stains etc. But that is part of the charme:) also, for the price it is still such a bargain!
