Returned to The Sono Hanoi after over a year , like going home! All staff are warm and ready to attend to all needs. Under high inflation, the rate is still the same – very reasonable. Last time I took their tour to Ha long bay and I did Ninh Binh this time. It was very nice too.

We stayed at the Sono hotl for 2 days before went to Ha long bay. It was pleasant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Their recommendations for foods and tours were fantastic. Ha long bay was a bit crowded, the breathtaking views made up for it.

Ce n’est pas seulement un hôtel, ils proposent également de l’aide pour organiser les excursions. Nous avons réservé des excursions à Lan Ha Bay et Ninh Binh avec eux à un très bon prix, et tout s’est déroulé sans problème. L’organisation était simple et pratique, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable.

After a long flight, we arrived at the hotel 2 hours before check in time. Right from my arrival the staff made us feel so welcome and comfortable with cold orange juice. They also offered us eaarly check in. Highly appreciate their kindness. We booked our Ha Giang tour before we came but we took the halong bay cruise from the hotel on arrival. The cruise trip was really good. Good choice!

De locatie was uitstekend en het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. Zij konden ons bovendien overal nuttige tips of adviezen over geven. Daarnaast werkte de airconditioning naar behoren.

Het ontbijt viel helaas wat tegen en de kamers oogden enigszins verwaarloosd, al waren ze wel hygiënisch. Daarnaast bevinden de kamers zich dicht bij de lift en de trap, waardoor gesprekken op de gang regelmatig hoorbaar zijn. Gezien de prijs en de uitstekende locatie is het echter lastig om een betere optie te vinden.

One of the rooms we stayed in had an extremly small bathroom (sink was in our bedroom) and you barely had space to stay on the toilet. It could do with a little bit more cleaning, but not that bad

I was searching some place that was not that busy as the center of old quarter but not that far as well. There is no such option. So location was great. Breakfast great. The room is large with a small balcony which I loved to drink coffee at 5 am wathing local people starting daily Some people complaned about street sounds during the night but It is the price you pay to be walking distance from everything. Staff is amazing indeed

Odlična lokacija, izjemno prijazno osebje, ki ti ponudi osvežilno pijačo ob prihodu. Skrbno so nam spravili tudi prtljago po check out-u in bili zelo ustrežljivi.

Hrana za zajtrk ni najboljše kvalitete, tudi oprema v sobi ni najbolje ohranjena. Sprejemljivo za to vrednost.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sono Hotel. We enjoyed the location - an easy walk to all the action in the Old Town and also a nice walk to the West Lake for something different. Our room was very clean and comfortable - nice and dry, no damp or mold (people travelling in the region will likely appreciate this as unfortunately, being such a humid climate can be an issue) and a lovely comfortable bed. Although the window did not have any real view (which we did not expect) it let plenty of natural light in (another issue that can be common) and the AC worked well. The breakfast was a decent buffet spread - the breakfast room was a bit hot, but just the nature of the time of year. Above all the staff were so friendly and kind - greeting us by first name and asking how our days were, it was a wonderful level of customer service - thank you! Because you can book tours through the hotel, and that is something that's mentioned in the reviews a lot, I wasn't sure if we'd feel any kind of pressure to book anything. This was not a concern at all - the staff left us to our own devices (which we appreciated because we were enjoying just exploring Hanoi and also resting a bit) but I felt they were very approachable had we wanted to enquire about anything as well :)

Cuando llegamos, hacía mucho calor en Hanoi, y el chico de recepción, preocupado por nosotros, nos acompañó a nuestra habitación para encender corriendo el aire a tope, despues de habernos recibido con una refrescante bedida. El hotel está muy bien, y en una zona inmejorable, al lado de la zona más turística de Hanoi, cerca de todo, pero en una calle tranquila.

Die Lage ist perfekt! Das Zimmer war genau wie angegeben, sauber und bequeme Betten. Als wir ankamen, wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und haben viele tolle Empfehlungen bekommen. Der Mitarbeiter war sehr zuvorkommend und hat uns auch am darauffolgenden Tag gefragt, was wir machen wollen und uns sehr lieb beraten.

Wir mussten im Nachhinein noch einen Koffer vom Flughafen abholen, weil dieser verspätet in Hanoi gelandet ist. Das haben wir einer Mitarbeiterin gesagt, woraufhin sie uns einen Fahrer organisiert hat. Sie hat uns einen Preis für die Fahrt genannt, mit dem wir zufrieden waren. Im Endeffekt hat die Fahrt mehr als das doppelte gekostet, weil sie uns nur den Hinweg berechnet hatte, obwohl wir ja nur kurz einen Koffer holen wollten und das auch so kommuniziert hatten, und der Rückweg vom Flughafen zum Hotel scheinbar teurer ist, als vom Hotel zum Flughafen. Hätten wir das vorher gewusst, hätten wir einen Fahrer über Grap bestellt, das wäre deutlich günstiger gewesen. Am nächsten Tag haben wir einen Tagesausflug mit einem Boot gemacht und hatten gefragt, ob wir Handtücher (auch gegen Geld) ausleihen könnten. Dies wurde uns von der selben Mitarbeiterin verweigert. Sie meinte, auf den Booten würden sowieso meistens Handtücher verliehen. Dies war bei uns nicht der Fall und wir standen ohne da.

From the moment I checked in until the day I left, I had an excellent experience at The Sono. The service was fabulous. I could keep my luggage at the hotel during my trip to Sapa and Ha Long bay. They made my trip so much more memorable

Staying at the Sono hotel such a pleasant. Staff made us feel so welcome with orange juice and early check in. We booked tours to Cao Bang and Ninh Binh through the travel desk of the hotel. Amazing! You should add these places to your travel plan!

Location is good, close to the Old Quarters. Staff were attentive and kind. The travel desk helped us book overnight tour to Lan Ha bay and Cao Bang. Both trips were great.

The Sono hotel is in a great location. We could easily walk to the night market, Hoan Kiem lake and West lake. The rooms were comfortable with soft mattress. Staff always smile and ready to help. When we were confused between Ha Giang and Cao Bang tours, they gave us detailed information of each place. It helped us to make right decisions. We had great experiences.

We stayed at the Sono Ha Noi for a total of 5 nights. It's a small and lovely hotel with friendly & helpful staff. We could leave our luggage at the hotel during our trip to Lan Ha bay. Their booking for cruise was very good. We got free upgrade to VIP cabin on cruise. Amazing experience!

A pleasant stay! The staff was friendly and responded to our requests. Thus, we received an iron upon request and allowed us to leave our luggage safely after checking out, until our departure from the city. The breakfast was in the form of a Swedish buffet, tasty and varied. The quality-price ratio is very good.

I would 100% stay at the Sono hotel again. It's a cheap hotel with great location and wonderful staff who always go above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable. It's not only a hotel but also a travel agent. It saved my time to book their package. We did enjoy our trip in Vietnam!

Staff went above and beyond to help us. We stayed for 5 nights over 10 days between other trips. They kept our luggage in between. Rooms were nice with good facilities (kettle, fridge etc). Breakfast spread was good.

Only minor downfall is the location. It’s perfectly fine, near good banh mi / bun cha / restaurants, but in the heat of late May it felt like a long walk to the lake for my parents (in their 60s). The location does mean you can also walk towards some nice bits near West Lake though to get out of the old town sometimes!

We like our stay at the Sono hotel. Bed is very comfortable. I really like their soft bed. All the staff were attentive and helpful. They recommended for us many restaurants, cafes and they also helped us to book a trip to Tam Coc. I enjoyed the different caves and bamboo boat ride. Should try!

Superbe accueil dans cet hôtel très bien situé au nord du quartier Hoan Kiem. Permet de faire beaucoup de visites à pied. Nous avions une chambre avec fenêtre donnant sur cour, au calme malgré la situation de l’hôtel dans une grande rue. Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute et sont prêts à fournir toute l'aide nécessaire, voire même des excursions. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon. Bonne adresse !

I stayed at the Sono after my trip in Cao Bang. It was my right decision. Staff were very friendly & welcoming. Their recommendation on what to do was so good. They booked for us trip to Lanha bay. We had a great time. Our tour guide was very nice. He helped us to take lots of photos during the trip.

The location of the Sono hotel is conveniently located near Dong Xuan market in the Old Quarter. We could walk everywhere. Their staff are outstanding. They helped us to get a sim card and showed us where to go. Our trip to Ninh binh was arranged by them after 5 minute talking! Amazing! highly recommend!

They can book all types of tour. We booked cruise to Lan ha bay through them. It was amazing! We got free upgrade to balcony cabin on cruise. Хороший отель, приятный персонал, есть лифт(!), завтраки скромные, но нам хватало, было чисто (что для меня максимально важно), ванна, конечно, уставшая, матрас очень твёрдый (как татами), но мне было норм, ничего не болело. Расположение хорошее, но шумно (было бы прекрасно улучшить шумоизоляцию). Номер был с балконом на третьем этаже, большой. Из пожеланий - добавить халаты, последнее время поняла прелесть наличия халатов в отелях, но опять же, вкусовщина.

Comfortable room & nice stay. Our room was free upgraded to a balcony which was a nice surprise. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us book tour to Sapa. Our local tour guide was incredibly informative, and really attentive to our needs. We enjoyed the trek very much.

Lovely no fuss hotel in Hanoi, the staff were absolutely lovely and always available to help us or give recommendations, the beds were super comfortable and and the breakfast was varied enough for anyone to get whatever they fancied.

Windowless rooms are pretty common in Hanoi so no surprise here, but it turns out we had a window going into the corridor, which means we were exposed to noise from cleaners, other guests coming in and out, etc. Then again that was very minor.

The Sono hotel is right in the center of old town. It's walking distance to many attractions such as mausoleum, temple of literature, night market... Staff is always there and ready to help. We took their advice going to Cao Bang instead of Ha Giang. We had right decision. The views were really spectacular and we could really avoid the crowd.
