Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast has gotten significantly worse than about a year ago. Eggs were terribly overcooked. Coffee pots ran out several times. There was almost no fresh fruit this year, except green apples.
Breakfast was weak. Coffee pots kept running out.

The hotel was overpriced, but all the hotels in Thunderbay were, so I think we were lucky to get something this nice.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2026The nicest room I have stayed in this year! Large and spacey, I didn't feel confined to one area. The kitchenette was amazing and all appliances worked. Hotel is modern, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Pool size could be bigger for the amount of people wanting to use it.

They confirmed us through this website with the understanding that it was a suite with two bedrooms. It clearly stated bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 in the listing. This was our wedding anniversary. On arrival we found it to be one room with two beds and a pull out couch. When we approached the desk, they stated it wasn’t THEIR fault as they “don’t control what booking.com advertises”, “do not have suites with two bedrooms” and offered to have me pay full price for a second room to house my two young children (9 and 10 years) elsewhere in the hotel. When I suggested that their satisfaction guarantee clearly states “if you’re not satisfied, your night’s on us” - to be told “the guarantee doesn’t apply in this case” I would have been happy to get an apology, perhaps a change to joining rooms with some sort of small discount for the second room. There was none of that. This experience was followed up with an email stating that I should have known from the pictures that it was one room (it clearly stated 2 bedrooms and I can actually read) and the screenshot they sent clearly still stated bedroom 1 and 2. I didn’t bother to respond and I will never stay there again.

My only criticism is that the windows could have better sound proofing i.e. they should be triple glazed. Whilst the hotel is conveniently located for the airport, it's also close to a busy intersection and the windows seemed to do little to suppress the sounds of the traffic.

No orange pekoe tea. Only orange pekoe available was black tea. Tetley or Red Rose would be appreciated.

Like a studio apartment with small kitchen space. Full fridge. Great to store beverages and freeze our ice packs for travel. And very clean. Nice spacious and clean bathroom.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Nothing but good things to say about this location. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I have stayed in Hinton locations before and forgot how nice the rooms were. It was also surprisingly quiet given the proximity to the airport. I will definitely make this my normal place to stay when I am travelling through.

I tried canceling on the app and called directly to front desk. I also emailed. They would not even consider the idea of not charging me, apparently its a 5 day policy. Guess u lost this customer.
