Super location, friendly staff, unexpectedly well appointed and spacious room.
Nothing
Location was great. We were in Dawson for Discovery Days and to do some exploring in the area.
When we arrived the night clerk told me that we had booked two rooms and if we should contact Booking to cancel the second room. Before I could contact Booking to cancel the second room, I was told that the second room was booked manually by the hotel. All in all, my first hour or so at the hotel was frustrating and disappointing. The more I heard from the night clerk the more I recognized her focus was on shifting blame for the error onto anyone other than the hotel. The next day, the Assistant Manager was able to sort out the issue.
The staff were polite and helpful
Really enjoyed the breakfast. Would be nice if they had a bigger venue. There was a long line up to get into restaurant.
The waiting in the line up for breakfast. They only served breakfast, no lunch or supper. the other part of the restaurant was a bar and that was open for only lunch and dinner. having small children did not allow us to have meals there.
Good
Clean and comfy
Accueil courtois avec le sourire, chambre propre et confortable ! Déjeuner au restaurant de l’hôtel délicieux !
L’emplacement était super.
Le tapis était sale et la chambre sentait la cigarette.
would like to have been more flexible with breakfast time
room was very warm
Great location. Friendly and helpful staff
Comfy bed and good room
Dawson City isn't a town for limited access people, I picked this place as it looked the most accessible. The staff however would just sit there and stare as I struggled up the stairs with bags and a walker. They all assumed I was a cruise ship tourist despite my having driven there. The restaurant only accepts cash and they didn't have a sign or mention at the start and made me pay in USD. I complained to the manager and got my money back.
Booking.com failed Got the confirmation number and when I got to the hotel they had nothing. I am done with booking.com. This is not the first time this has happened. Good luck getting to talk and solve the problem.
Great location.
Noisy. Another guest played music almost constantly. It was hard to sleep.
Central location, loved the old building and the history. We had a huge corner room with sofa and kitchenette, it was very comfortable. Especially loved the welcome from the lady on reception, the handwritten note and $10 gift card was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was excellent and lots of food. Supper in the lounge was great, limited bar food menu but it was a nice lounge area for lunch and to just sit as long as wanted. Seemed to be a popular local place very friendly. Will definitely choose the hotel on our next visit.
Location and off street parking
Shabby and not real clean.
L'hospitalité
Rien de spécial
Building was in keeping with Dawson City's historical character. Welcoming, helpful staff and on-site bar/restaurant. Clean, comfortable room.
Can't think of anything.
The room that we have booked, was very nice and spacious.
I booked a room with a small kitchen, but suddenly the front desk staff gave me a room without kitchen and when I asked them and showed them my booking thay I have booked a room with a small kitchen they just said that tha site was not update, I was very frustrated, and to think my friend booked a room the same as mine and they got the room with a small kitchen and we paid the same amount. But the front desk didnt gave usa any complimentary as there was a mistake on their side.

Door was broker in my room, staff gave me another room but heater wasn’t working there.
Room was very nice.
no elevator
The staff (Mike) were outstanding!
Very good room. Quiet.spacious
Nice town
Big room and nice staff, but no elevators. Understood as all building in Dawson City seems have no elevators. Easy to park as they have own parking lot.
One of the best places to stay in Dawson City in terms of location. Very walkable to most everything around. Convenient restaurant a nice little bar where you can the one and only Sourtoe Cocktail (google it). Dawson City has a lot of history and this a great place to spend a number of days.
it was convenient
Older well kept building centrally located
typical hotel in town. big room
Comfortable bed, friendly staff, good location, two chairs in the room
Schönes Hotel mit Zentrallage in Dawson City. Man konnte somit alles prima fußläufig erreichen.
Fehler von Booking.com, die eine Mikrowelle in der Ausstattung angaben. Diese war leider nicht vorhanden.
Good location Clean Nice big room
The hotel was fine although showing its age. The staff in the two restaurants were so very accomodating and friendly. Easy to walk around the town.
If you are interested in stepping back in time, the Eldorado Hotel is perfect. Our room was a dbl queen bed room, large enough for 3 adults. Very clean inside. Second floor... note, no elevator! It also has one of the two breakfast restaurants in town, where the food and prices were reasonable. On the other side of the building was a full bar and restaurant for lunch and dinner. They had coin operated laundry for the longer stays if needed. Located right in the center of town, the location was very convenient! The staff were great to chat with and were very pleasant! Excellent place to stay while in Dawson City!!
Location
Comfortable room, but next door to the extremely noisy laundry that operated until late at night.
Very uninterested ( in her job) young woman working at the front desk … not the greatest first impression
Like everything in downtown Dawson City the building is old, but the room was very much 21st century.
Great location, awesome restaurants for all meals, friendly and accomodating staff, already miss Dawson
Very clean!!!
Location is great and room was huge. Good blackout curtains and rooms were relatively quiet.
Hotel is dated but clean and comfortable. Stayed 2 nights to fully check things out. Our second room was super spacious. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend and would stay again.
Comfy beds. Friendly staff. Right downtown.
Clean spot, excellent restaurant, friendly staff, close to all toyrist soits
Clean
Room was nice an Big
The Restaurant breakfast was not that great for the price
Great stay thx
The property was within walking distance of all the major attractions in Whitehorse. The hotel also operates an airport shuttle. This makes it feasible to fly to Dawson and enjoy the historical ecperience. We only ate in the dining room for breakfast but the food was good, portions generous, and price reasonable. Hotel WiFi worked well.
Right in the middle of town. Wasy to walk anywhere
It was ok
clean
Enjoyed our stay at Dawson and El Dorado. Great room. Great location.
Comfortable & roomy, convenient with fridge and microwave. Especially appreciated having two comfortable chairs in the room-to be able to sit other than on the bed. Bed was comfortable, room was clean. The creaky floor was just added character. Would recommend.
very nice,very clean!
None
We were given the wrong key for our room. The room was hot and had an extremely noisy portable air conditioner that didn’t work well.
Great place to stay convenient to everything. Didn’t care for the steps (no ramp to pull luggage up)
Great hotel
Good food
Staff n breakfast
Rate was high ad per other hotel's
Very high quality hotel in historic Dawson City.
Great place to stay in Dawson City.
A decent place to stay relative to the area
.
A fascinating part of Canada. Great for paddling on the Yukon, camping and hiking. We were there to check out a pioneer forbear in gold rush times.
Old room, needed update, hot very loud AC but needed it to make the room bearable. The quality of the room did not match the price
Very clean bedding and room
Mike front counter duty staff was very rude, racist and arrogant. When he asked for a damage deposit, I offered cash, and he said, "Oh, instead of $100, it will be $200 because if you destroy my hotel, we can charge you." Why would he assume that non white persons are criminals? Go where hotels extend warm welcome, avoid this hotel

Nice place, great staff
The staff at the front desk, a man from ottawa, was fantastic
Room was clean and bedding comfortable.
Very friendly staff.
Beds not great - the kind the giggle with every move. Room was clean and updated. In room AC was loud.
Great place to stay in Dawson City. Centrally located. Mike on front counter did a fantastic job with our check in and giving advise and explanations on various parts of the town. Thank you!
The cleanliness was impressive. Staff members were washing the windows and doors of each room and wiping down the railing on the outside wall and stairs. Super clean!
This was an absolutely astonishing motel! We also enjoyed the town, that keeps the vibe of the gold mining days.
We really enjoyed the El Dorado hotel. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help.
Staff was friendly, AC in Room worked. No elevator.
Super easy place to stay! Great restaurants, bistro's, shops, museum, and river walk all in just a few blocks. Lovely front desk staff. Kind, thoughtful, efficient! Thank you!
