It is not a hotel, and I guess this is in the name. It's basically an Airbnb that exists in an apartment building. If that's your thing, then fine. Left the same night for the Westin. Proper facilities to cater to me

The property was beautiful, convenient and central to everything literally Uber is not costly to everywhere.

I liked everything about the property the only thing that I would say they should improve on is the number of blankets in rooms because I felt cold and the heater was not helping. Other than that, there isn’t anything that I would say threw me off about the place as is it was good like the piece was just so exceptional clean everything and I don’t wanna mention the stuff they were friendly.

This was my worst booking.com experience ever , after paying and having a confirmed booking , the hotel staff would not allow me to check in. The accused me of causing damage on my previous stay , which I absolutely deny , I have never ever since my over 20 years being a booking.com loyal member , caused damage to any property . They also kept my deposit relating to the previous stay. The staff and management had no interest in listening to the truth and were adamant , even without being able to prove that I caused the damage they accused me of. I will never book with Totalstay again , after having so many bookings with them previously.

I especially did not like the staff , how they handled a dispute , the management and the fact that they denied me my right , having a confirmed booking. This was the worst treatment by any accommodation ever. And the staff and management are not fit to be in the service industry .

Room spacious and clean. Appliances clean and well kept. Staff assisted my in giving my daughter access to my room without me having to go up and down all the time - she was living next door.

Restaurant separate from Hotel - Very specific menu - not everyday food like a plain quick breakfast - no early breakfast option or room service option. Hair dryer has a 30 cm cord - can not blow dry hair sitting on the chair - no extension cord available. Nowhere to hang clothing to dry - suggest supplying a laundry donkey No Secure Parking for vehicles There is a club in the side street - Got woken up from the noise levels during the morning hours - on the 9th floor.

The views from the rooftop are just unbelievable! ❤️Spent most of the time there . The ambience was amazing! Our room was so spacious & very clean too. Loved how everything was a walking distance & it was safe at night .

The entire room was smelling bad even after I opened the windows the smell was still there. I even went to reception to complain but i was told that they can't make arrangements to move me to another room and the manager is not getting back to them about laid complain. When I went back to the room I could hear the smell was more in the bathroom that's when I realized that the drain of the shower is the problem, spent the entire night with windows opened because the smell was not getting any better.

The room is amazing, the design. Simplicity of it. If only i got a washing machine instead of dish washer. But the room and bed were amazing.

The Place is good, the location is bad. It is by clubbing areas, you can't sleep properly, all you hear is loud screams and people shouting . It isn't the hotels fault, but where it is located. Loud music, loud screams. It is impossible to sleep. Advice, never book during the weekend.

We absolutely loved our stay in Apartment 205! It was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly, respectful, and always willing to help, making us feel truly welcome. The location was perfect central, convenient, and made it easy to explore and experience everything Cape Town has to offer. We would definitely stay here again!

The internet was good,with the tv having most if not all channels and apps..the appliances were in good working conditions.

The toilet was leaking. The cleaners weren't as efficient in their duties.

The place itself is nice, beautiful, and clean. The environment is comfortable and looks well maintained. However, my experience was affected by poor service and unresolved issues during my stay.

Very disappointing and frustrating stay at Tokyo Apart Hotel. I checked into Room 202 and the TV was not working. I reported the issue and asked to be moved, but I was told the hotel is fully booked and nothing could be done. Around 1 AM, the smoke alarm in my room went on and did not stop, even though I do not smoke at all and was not smoking. This caused serious disturbance and made it very difficult to rest. The overall service was very poor. Even the staff who came to check the TV issue did not behave professionally — it honestly felt like they were under the influence, and I could not tell if they were drunk or not. I also sent a complaint email and received no response, which shows a complete lack of customer care. I paid for a proper, comfortable stay, but this experience has been the opposite. I would not recommend this place unless they seriously improve their service and professionalism.

The unit was small; about the size of a small motel unit. There was no room for a table and chair to sit at (just a very uncomfortable couch and small round coffee table), the double bed was in one corner so only one side and an end was accessible, the bathroom was tiny with no bench space or places to hang towels, and the shower drain was partially blocked so you stood in a pool of soapy water, Noisy from street noise, AC even on low and neighbors outside talking with doors loudly opening/shutting & echoing. The safe was not attached, had a broken battery holder and was left open & locked. We asked, but nobody came to fix it.

Location was good. Easy access to my work event of the week... was 10 minutes walk. Clean and quiet with full time security. Friendly and helpful staff.

The shower door didn't close properly, wet the entire bathroom. The towels are of poor quality, extremely hard. The hotel DOES NOT OFFER PARKING,with Cape Town being such a high crime area this is ridiculous. I heard car alarms sounding on both evenings of our stay. The hotel should definitely be looking into getting a parking bay close by for hotel guest.

My shower was not cleaned on my check in date and the reception clerk had to come do it himself coz the housekeeping lady had knocked of The AC wasn’t working and it was mad cold the entire time … I had to ask for an extra bed cover

I had to pay a deposit of R500 which only gets refunded within 7 days after you’ve checked out. The deposit is kind of a big inconvenience. In the case a customer does not have the R500 security deposit I wonder if you’ll ever let them check-in. Wont recommend this hotel.

It was very cozy and comfy and actually had everything one could need utilities wise. It was warm and definitely clean loved it.

The rooftop pool was a great experience even though it does become unusable after 10. The scenery added quite a bit to my experience as well with people watching and getting a sense of fresh air.

The countertop table was a bit dirty with soapy scud marks on the table but outside of that it was a beautiful and learning experience as well.

The rooms were great, and I liked the setup. It allowed for self-catering with a kitchen setup. It was very modern with the clean finishes. Although it was self catering, the room service was still there to clean my room daily.

The couch was a bit old; it looked like it was overused. There is very limited parking in the area; you will struggle to find any, especially during the day. Even when you find parking, you need to pay hourly fees out of your own pocket.

The property wasn’t clean, the couch had a stench and the rooms looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in weeks, you had to look for parking outside the building because they don’t have parking, we had to walk with our bags from the parking to the hotel and it was drizzling.

The building and rooms are not really made for comfort. The building has an unpleasant smell because there’s no air circulation and the rooms are just built without consideration. There is no mirror to get ready or a long mirror. The basin is very small atleast 10cm so can’t get ready there either. It is aesthetically pleasing but largely impractical and cleaning staff don’t clean on Sundays which they don’t tell you until you ask. Rooms don’t have laundry baskets which is incredibly inconvenient when stay longer than a day
