Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Everything was very new and very clean- parking garage was underground and well connected- room was very nice although not everything worked but we were in an eight floor corner unit with lots of windows and a great view of the water and surrounding area. Very nice.
The tv didn’t work- it turned on but there was no connection to any signal - we called the desk but they put us on hold and never came back so we didn’t get that resolved. In the middle of the night the fridge was making such a loud squealing sound we couldn’t sleep- after waking up and searching for the source we finally turned the fridge off and that got rid of the sound. And lastly, there aren’t any real gluten free options at the breakfast, so we skipped it and just wanted coffee but the lobby coffee was out and it took forever to get refilled. They kept saying 5 min so we stood around waiting until after 15 passed and we just left because they said again it would be five more min. We’ve stayed at Hampton Inns a lot and this one was the most disappointing because these issues are all so easily fixable with good management but someone’s dropping the ball here.

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026The breakfast had a lovely array of food. Great options with the hot and cold offerings. Really appreciated that it stayed open until 10 am. We were able to to take an apple and orange to help us through the day. The staff were helpful and somewhat friendly in that Ontario way of being friendly where the friendliness hovers close to polite dismissal. But overall it was a great experience. I’d definitely go back next summer.
I only wish the pool had been open later. We found we only had time to use it around 9:30. I’m sure it has todo with insurance but I’d have a pool that was open 24 hours.

Wife tripped over the carpet as we were entering the motel due to the fact that it was not secured to the floor. Friends came over parked their car in the parking lot beside the hotel. 20 minutes later we had to rush out due to the fact there was a swarm of kids looking in and trying to get in his vehicle

The breakfast offered a lot of variety and the food was very good for what one would expect at a complimentary hotel breakfast. Even the premade western omelettes were tasty. The staff was friendly and very helpful when needed. We can’t comment on the pool or gym because we didn’t have time to use either.
The hotel is in a convenient location for the areas we were visiting and allowed us to check out several places downtown. The only drawback was loud traffic once in awhile at night but I guess it’s a trade off for the location.

The cooked items of the buffet breakfast were warm, not hot. We had to pay for underground parking. I wonder if the underground parking was a reflection of the neighborhood when they selected that location.

Not enough space outside for arriving vehicles to stop during rush hour in particular so that guests can sign in and drop off keys. Lovely room, but couldn’t enjoy the comfy chair with the fan blowing hard right beside me. Comfy bed, but blower aimed right at my face.

Reviewed Aug 10, 2026Good location! But it's close to the main street, so it was a little bit noisy at night. The room was very clean and big, but the sofa bed was not set up as a bed. When I called the front desk, a staff member came over immediately with new towels and made a bed for my daughter. It was very good and quick service. We stayed at the hotel after a concert, and other guests who had also come from concerts were so friendly and started up a conversation with my daughter, which was nice.
We were surprised when hair got tangled in our arm while I was swimming in the pool. Maybe it was because I was swimming first thing in the morning. There was no booklet in the room with information about check-out time and hotel facilities. I had to check the hotel website. I'm an old-school person, so I would have preferred a paper copy in the room.

I was a little surprised that an accessible room had a shower that I had to step into a tub. I mean it was lower than most tubs but still difficult with my arthritic knees to step in and out of. Everything else was fantastic for an accessible room very modern so just very surprised about the shower.

The only thing was the check in parking. There are 3 (THREE!) spots to park and they are tight. Also the streets are all one way. We had a pick up truck and drove around and around the hotel probably 5 times trying to find somewhere just to illegally park so I could run in and check in. When I did arrive at 230, my room wasn't ready and I was told id be called. We left for an hour and never received a call. When we returned , the line up was to the door and they had no queen rooms left ( which is what I booked for 3 of us). We were offered an accessible king room with a cot and I accepted. Would have been nice to have my parking for free for the inconvenience. Not offered however.

I asked for towels and never received them. Parking underground had no parking for one of the nights. Wish we had a room that wasn't on king Street as it was loud at night.

L'emplacement, oui il est au centre-ville mais justement le centre-ville d'Hamilton est très peu accueillant voir même dangereux dans certains secteurs. Après avoir réservé et checké inn certaines personnes nous ont mentionné quon aurait peut-être dû réservé en dehors de la ville. Mais en auto tu entre et sors c'était correct

Rooms were clean, comfortable beds and great working A/C. Safe and secure underground parking on site. We had no Wifi. It was clear this had been a problem before, but they just kind of shrugged. “Try restarting your phone, Ok try this, ok try this”. Later “did it work?”, me “no”, them “oh, sorry”.

It is a new build and there were issues with the finishes, but value wise could fault it. You get what you pay for, and was comfortable.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026Staff were very attentive and responsive, and when I put in a maintenance request the response and repairs were very prompt. Parking garage was well lit and felt secure. The room was clean and comfortable, with lots of room to place items.
Lights in the room were a bit on the dim side
