Coast Courtenay Hotel

Been travelling for a week and this was without doubt the best bed and shower. The staff greeted us, and waved us off, with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble. Well located for food outlets and on tap hot drinks in the guest lobby. Thank you.

The staff were super friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. It is also conveniently located next to a good breakfast restaurant. We will be staying there again.

Price was expensive, but I suppose most everything on the island is these days.

I have been to a coast hotel before in the Nanaimo. For instance, where we had a massive jacuzzi in our massive room. This was a motel, not remotely comparable to Coast Nanimo, which was my expectation.

The beds were very comfortable. The room has many extra nice touches, such as a rainfall shower. We have dietary issues so having a kitchenette and coffee machine was very handy. The location was excellent in a fairly quiet area with many amenities nearby. There was also lots of free parking available. Staff are super helpful.

Excellent sleep, bed was super comfy. Shower was wonderful with great flow of water from water head. Super hot and relaxing. Quiet. Close to restaurants , stores, amenities. Staff super friendly!

Air con was really loud - too loud to sleep with it on. Weird stale smell in the room.

Sehr schönes Motel, mit kostenfreien Parkplätzen. Frühstück gibt es extra im zugehörigen Plates (seh lecker Frühstück!!). Zimmer sind sehr schön, etwas klein, Dusche perfekt mit Kopf- und Handbrause. Pool ist vorhanden, Kaffeautomat ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Aufenthalt war sehr gut und die Betten waren sehr bequem! In Laufweite sind einige Restaurants für Abends!

Basically a prefab so if someone moves in the building or flushes the toilet you hear it. If it was cheaper it would be fine but pretty pricey for what you get.

I stayed in the budget room on the ground floor, all I had to do was step outside and I'm in a little garden overlooking the ocean!

Young man at the front desk was excellent. The free coffee in the lounge was excellent.

Wifi in our room was terrible! We would go hours were we couldnt get on. I complained to the front desk and simply got a "sorry about that". No response to rectify it from the young lady at the desk and we were there for 4 nights. In 4 nights stay we got no make up in our room until The third day we finally got a freshen up. I had to go to the lobby to get coffee for the third morning..

I really loved this hotel! It was newly updated and really well done. The room was very comfortable, had a lot of space, the bed was super comfortable, the shower was great as well. The hotel had so many extra amenities. The pool is lovely and there are a couple outside areas to relax and eat. I especially liked the tv room with a massive 4-tv screen where I watched several World Cup games. There is a super convenient laundry room on site as well, which was not too expensive and easy to pay for via an app. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond. I can’t wait to come back next summer.

It’s hardly an issue, but the duvets on the bed were a bit too warm for summer, even with the AC on.

The shower is to die for, literally the highlight of our stay, maybe the nicest shower I've ever used. Near my favourite pub on Vancouver Island the Whistle Stop and close drive or bus ride downtown. Comfortable kingsize bed. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean.

Value for money isn't great, $200+ for a basic room, road facing, in an industrial area on the highway. Could likely have found a better deal for the money for similar amenities, minus the pool maybe.

Thank you for the great stay! The staff here were all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. That really makes such a difference!! Everyone was so nice. The room was super clean and new, bed was also very comfy! The pool was lovely and warm and great place to relax. We loved having the good coffee machine in the lobby everyday!

The only thing I’d say is that the room was a bit small in comparison to other hotel rooms but that is our only complaint.

Staff are very friendly. The pool was really nice. The outside area is clean. The bed was pretty comfortable and the bedding looked clean. The room seemed pretty clean. We liked the free coffee/hot chocolate vending machine.

The bathroom needs a deep clean. The counter was grimy and needed to be wiped (I did that), in the shower the crevices need a good scrubbing. Also there is a large empty space in the room. A comfortable chair and coffee table would have made it much more comfortable.

Great property for the value, all redone, staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Noise outside our room. Car alarm going off at 6 am 2 girls talking loudly like it was daytime at 6:30 and then again at 7. Not the hotels fault but definitely took away from our rest.

Exceptional staff, everything was recently renovated, rooms were comfortable and clean, complimentary coffee was great.

The staff are exceptional. This hotel is newly renovated and comfortable. I picked it for the price and ev charger. There are nice indoor and outdoor spaces to relax as well as a microwave and coffee machine in the lobby.

Booking.com said breakfast was provided, which isn't right. There are only 2 ev chargers so I was worried I wouldn't get enough time to charge before leaving. It was no problem on a Sunday night, but good to have a backup plan if the chargers are in use.

The outdoor pool was spectacular. The rooms were also very clean. Also a great location.

It is conveniently on the main road, close to the centre, but still quiet at night. Very clean, very helpful staff, an EV charger available.

I thought there would be a microwave and there wasn’t.

Bed was way too big for the size of the room. Not a big deal as we didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but it was a bit of a challenge with our luggage

Easy access to the highway, convenient to the restaurant, good last minute availability.

The pool wasn’t open. It’s definitely noisy with work trucks being warmed up at 4am for workers to depart for their work day.

The location and staff were excellent. The shuffle board table in the office area was sooo much fun went back a few times to play that. The beds were new as they hadnt broken in yet .
