The "deluxe" rooms are all constructed such that you have to angle your body just to pass through the narrow space at the foot of the bed in order to get from one side of the room to the other. I got used to it, but it's a pain.

Just the one minor complaint in that the room layout was a little odd… with virtually no space between tv and corner of bed … bit of a squeeze actually and we’re not big people haha. Other than that lovely.

This means you can enjoy a quiet stay while still being within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. Another great feature was the hotel bar, which stays open until after midnight. It was nice to be able to enjoy a relaxed drink after the pubs had closed. Overall, a fantastic stay that we would highly recommend.

Perfect location for exploring Manchester and surrounding areas being only a couple of minutes walk from the train station. Rooms were clean with lots of lovely extras like a proper coffee machine and wonderful lotions and potions in the bathroom. All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

Only one small thing but it would have been nice to have a couple of coat hooks in the room. Having been caught in the rain it would have been useful.

I was switched to an accessible room. The shower was awful. So tiny with the shower curtain just sticking to you making having a shower uncomfortable. I was also placed in the very first room, so it was noisy in the evening with people entering and leaving the hallway.

The staff were very friendly, the bathroom facilities were excellent and breakfast was great! The bed was comfy and the room felt very spacious. Very good value for money.

The front desk staff spoke very quickly when we were checking in ! It would've been nice if the process felt a bit more relaxed and at an easier pace. It was tricky to control the air conditioning in our room, and the sound of the pipes were quite noisy.

Can’t say I found anything that I didn’t like. Maybe the one frustrating thing was there are so many light switches some I had no idea what they did.

The room preparation was incomplete - the fridge still had part-used products from the previous guests (included milk, and a thawed ice cream). This also made me wonder what else had not been done. In a post-Covid world that's really important. My dust and pollen allergy spiked too, so I'm assuming vacuuming and dusting may have been skimped on (but of course i can't prove that). The room had a very small coffee table but no desk - disappointing as i was travelling for work. While dinner was lovely, breakfast seemed a little tired (just little things like a very dry and rubbery black pudding). Upon checkout i am sure i accidentally left my phone charger and cable plugged into the wall but it was never found.

The property was very close to the train station, shopping centre and local shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were giving a complimentary upgrade on arrival. Rooms were cleaned daily, this was done throughout the day when you were out exploring Manchester not typically your early morning.

Hotel was modern and clean. All staff were super friendly from reception, bar and chamber staff. We were treated to great service at the bar, even after arriving back late following watching a band at the Coop Live. Location was perfect for driving and rail travel, parking choices very near and just 25 minutes walk to the Etihad and Coop Live arena. Would highly recommend and will certainly return.

The location of the property was good, close yo main roads and the station. Also close to the places I wanted to visit.

The room was cramped, dark snd could have used a vacuum, there was dust in the floor that clung to my feet. Quite disgusting. Once a clam type suitcase was opened there was literally no room to walk about and to reach the other side of the bed, well that was just an obstacle course. Parkour anyone? I left a day early.

Stanza stupenda, davvero molto estetica e moderna, personale sempre disponibile e gentile attento ad ogni richiesta. La cosa che più ho adorato è davvero la loro attenzione verso il cliente, cosa per nulla scontata. Frigo bar con bevande di cortesia (acqua e latte per il caffè) e macchinetta caffè nespresso con cialde sempre di cortesia davvero comodo. Posizione centrale e comoda noi all'inizio l'abbiamo soprattutto sfruttata per andare al creamfields festival

Tutto perfetto solo magari un pelino di attenzione in più verso la pulizia della stanza. Per il resto tutto magnifico

We liked the location closed to transport links. We liked the staff who were friendly and easy going. It was cheap for three nights but the room was cramped.

Our room 806 was half the size of the one on booking.com. the queen bed almost filled the width of the room leaving only enough space to shuffle past to access the other side. Looking at the floor plan it also seemed to be the odd shape with large areas because of space taken by a store or something. It also just had a high slot shaped window . I certainly wouldn't accept such a poor room again.

We were not made to feel welcome at all. No friendly welcome. When we checked in all we were asked to do was to pay for our room and if we had booked breakfast. Nothing was mentioned about the restaurant or bar. We found our own way to the gym. Checking out , no one asked if we had a nice stay, was everything all right. I even had to ask if there was anything else I needed to do as nothing was said. We paid extra for a queen room and city view. We were put on the 2nd floor view was awful.

the location was close enough to the train station and the mercure hotel for our convention. it was quiet and clean, the staff were absolutely lovely and so polite and welcoming! i loved the free drink per person per night if you opt out of clean towels daily. i'll definitely be back if i'm going to manchester again! they kept our luggage safe after checkout for free until we picked them up later for our train, absolutely amazing! the shower was so lovely as well, and with air conditioning in the rooms it was amazing for my fibromyalgia hot flashes.

someone changed our do not disturb sign on our door to "come in" so it would be good if there was separate do not disturb and come in signs instead of a reversible one. a strange man was also knocking on my door early sunday morning which was a bit scary but i let staff know and they were extremely apologetic.

I was't expecting too much at this price point and generally prefer older, grander hotels. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful I have encounteres. Everything was well thought and provided a great base for doing things in Manchester. It was also exceptionally clean and we loved their swap your room being cleaned daily for a drink policy :D

There wasn't a lot not too like. If pushed the pillows were a bit thin and feeble!

Rooms are in dire need of deep cleaning including air con units which have left debris on the walls and side of the headboard. Shower heads are corroded, mirrors and floors were also dirty. The balcony was not fit for purpose it was mouldy moss covered and rotting with unstable boards

Breakfast was delicious and there was so much of it! The room was very comfortable and spacious with a very nice bathroom. Lovely tea and coffees in the room

The bar was very expensive and extremely slow, often with only 1 barman on making cocktails from scratch whilst the queue got bigger and bigger

The breakfast was superb. Especially the scrambled eggs which were absolutely delicious. So tasty.

That rooms these days don't have baths. I love a bath - especially when I am away. Bed comfy and liked the fact that we had Sky Sports in our room.

We stayed at The Reach while visiting the Etihad Stadium to do the tour and watch City’s opening match of the season, and it was a great find. The hotel is really conveniently located, just a few minutes’ walk from Manchester Piccadilly. Having full Sky in the room was a huge bonus, particularly when travelling with a child, as it meant we could watch the football without having to drag him into a noisy pub! The staff are amazing — so kind, friendly and attentive — and the breakfast is excellent. There’s a cooked-to-order breakfast as well as a lovely cold buffet with pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, nuts and seeds. The rooms have some really thoughtful touches too. The showers are lovely and roomy, with proper shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I loved having a mini fridge, complimentary still and sparkling water, and even a little bottle of fresh milk, which is so much nicer than the usual UHT cartons. There’s a real attention to detail throughout the hotel. A great stay and a real find — we would definitely stay again!

I would just have liked the milk to have been refilled or replaced daily as I loved the tea but the rest was great.

The aircon had a real damp smell to it, had to turn it off and air the room out.

The look of the hotel on the website is appeasing however when you get there you are surprised by the addtional fee of £10 despite it being £250 a night.

There were stains on the floor in the seating area in the suite and in the bathroom opposite the toilet on the floor. Then because of the design of the shower the sliding door frame was warped and there was terrible damp smells coming from the drainage. Unsure if it is because the curdling is right next to the canal hence the smells.

Close to railway station and local transport. Easy to find. Quick check in. Front desk staff attentive, welcoming, polite and courteous.

Early morning noise of delivery vehicles was disturbing. Cooked breakfast disappointing. Overcooked poached eggs which was corrected on the second morning. Undercooked bacon which was corrected on the third morning. Muffins with eggs benedict which could not be cut with a knife as they were so hard. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Took the edge off of what would have been a nice stay.

Lovely people at the front desk, special shoutout to Micaela. All were super friendly and warm. Room is spacious and beds/bedlinen are comfortable. Quiet in the room. Bathroom is also nice. In room coffee machine and kettle for teas are a big plus.

Not much by way of facilities. Gym is really small and breakfast is adequate but nothing to shout about.

I liked how friendly and helpful the staff were at reception in welcoming us, the staff at the breakfast me and my best friend had on the Saturday it was so delicious, full of flavour and we both agreed that it was worth the price. Comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom with incredible lighting, we will definitely be back next year to stay again. All in all a positive experience.

Great location right near the train station and walking distance to many of Manchester's key attractions, Canal Street, and lots of restaurants. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, and the hotel was overall quite nice and modern.

The staff all looked like they didn't want to be there - no smiles and not friendly at any point. They weren't unprofessional - just indifferent. Also, the room cleaning was nice but there was never the right combination of towels... the was no bath mat when I arrived, and then they gave me one the next day but took away all the hand towels. It was odd.

Because we went on a Saturday there was a lot of noise from other rooms late at night.

Hotel itself is lovely, but location isn’t great for where we wanted to get to. We went out in Deansgate on the evenings and you have to walk through Piccadilly gardens to get there, which is very sketchy. No fault of the hotel though!

Lack of maintenance in the rooms, blinds falling down., doors didn't open. Breakfast a joke dont waste your time., didn't even get what we ordered after waiting 20 mins to be seated, coffee machine did not work, even the juice container did not work. Maintenance staff must all be in holiday!

Well where do I start - hoping it’s just us having bad luck. Our room - comfort - was simply not acceptable. No one should have to climb over their partner to get in and out of bed. The fridge didn’t work so milk for a tea was spoilt. No hooks, rails to hang towels. The bag rack was broken. TV reception with very few channels. Poorly designed lighting. One staff member responded to my issues and got us a new room - and a cuppa helped.

My first name and surname were mixed up on the reservation. I made the hotel aware of this ahead of time and I did receive a response, but on arrival it was not corrected at any point either before arrival or after check-in. Whilst a minor inconvenience, addressing hotel guests by the wrong name feels rather impersonal, and created unnecessary confusion at check in and check out.

We booked The Reach last minute as the accommodation we had previously booked wasn't fit to stay in. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful and upon hearing our story upgraded us to a balcony room. The location was perfect for a stay in central Manchester. The room had all the required facilities including a coffee maker and ironing board. The welcome drink was especially welcomed.

There was no onsite parking, but the staff did direct us to a secure parking garage nearby.

The location is great, right next to Piccadilly but just off the main bit so not noisy. The room was lovely-- room 813 had a massive terrace which was bigger than the room! The room was also nice and cosy. Shower was powerful and spacious. The lounge is also nice and cosy. The staff were very friendly and nice. They accidently left something in our room (a cake for another guest) and gave us drinks vouchers to say sorry. They also brought me oatmilk for a morning coffee when I asked.

We arrived an hour early and they said we could check in early as the room was free-- but only if we paid £25. Most places will let you check in early if the room is ready, £25 for 54 minutes seemed a bit stingy. Also the bed was a fold down one-- I think the room could double up as a lounge if connected to the one next door (becoming a apartment of sorts). The bed was perfectly comfy but there was a massive gap between the bed and the headboard/wall. Meant it was hard to sit on the bed and watch TV with pillows as they kept falling down the back of the bed. The location is very good for the station and Manchester City Centre-- just be aware that Piccadilly can get a bit lary at night on Friday/Saturday and there are some characters about so if you are going out late, be careful. The hotel is totally safe-feeling though.

Central location, competitive price, modern and clean. All the amenities we needed - we were delighted to see there was a room service menu and the prices were fair. Breakfast was exceptional! Great choice and quick service. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Manchester. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay special.
