Love the location the hotel very cosy.Staff very friendly

The grounds and staff were lovely. The room was spotless, bed firm,shower easy to use and temperature just right without adjusting all the time. Fluffy towels.

Liked our garden view but would have preferred not to hike to the second floor although we hadn't specified this when booking. Didn't have breakfast but would have liked a more extensive warm menu for breakfast and evening.

We loved the property and carefully curated decor, the hotel bar & all of the staff were very welcoming & friendly. The room was clean & welcoming and had been prepared thoughtfully for our stay (a fan was switched on and cooling our room ready for our arrival)

Sadly the hotel was not able to offer a full Welsh breakfast or a restaurant meal on the night we stayed which would have made our stay more convenient and even more enjoyable. However, recommendations were made to a selection of local eateries & the hotel bar was excellent with a well stocked bar & lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Location and all aspects of the hotel were first class

A vital feature for me when deciding on accommodation is the quality of the breakfast. Described as a Buffet Breakfast, that could describe both cooked and continental. Unfortunately for me my preference of a cooked meal never materialised. However, the alternative was excellent. Lesson for the future, enquire before booking.

The highlight of our entire trip! This was without a doubt the most wonderful hotel of our entire trip through Wales. Staying in this beautiful old manor house is an experience in itself – lovely, characterful rooms, an excellent breakfast and an atmosphere that makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time into a grand old English country house. We received a very warm welcome at reception, and the bartender was not only extremely friendly but also very knowledgeable. He mixed us an absolutely delicious Old Fashioned – one of those little details that made our stay even more memorable. The beautiful grounds and garden are another highlight. It was wonderful simply to sit outside, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The hotel is also a perfect base for exploring the area and for the many wonderful hikes nearby. A truly special place with character, charm and wonderful hospitality. For us, it was the absolute highlight of our accommodation during this trip, and we would return without hesitation!

Un accueil vraiment très appréciable dans cet hôtel. Et le personnel a fait un gros effort pour nous servir le petit-déjeuner avant l'ouverture car nous avions un ferry à prendre. Et petit-déjeuner exceptionnel !

Would have preferred to be in the actual hall. Breakfast staff not so helpful. Knew we had a dog and made us feel like we had leprosy. Put in a very large different room on our own because of the dog. There were petals that fell out of the bed, which were obviously from the previous occupier. So not sure how well the room was cleaned.

The price/value is excellent. One shouldn’t expect luxury, but a very good quality and high standard of service has been demonstrated during our short stay. The building is charming, the rooms were simple, but clean and comfortable. There were tea/coffee appliances and water provided. When we arrived we were greeted by Ron and he was delightfully helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely, although quite small, but all the food was fresh and of excellent quality. We especially appreciated a beautiful selection of fresh berries.

Amazing hotel, very spacious lovely scenery. Staff were very accommodating from the second we walked through the door to leaving. The interior and outside are amazing visit wales a lot and will definitely be staying here again.

Not a single thing the whole experience was amazing

The hotel was in a picturesque setting with plenty of character features and spacious grounds. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our bedroom was meant to be a standard double. However it was the smallest hotel room we've ever stayed in and we've stayed in many as we are in our early seventies. It was more like a box room or rather a single room with a double bed. There was no bedroom chair or dressing table as there would have been no room to place any furniture. Only one bedside shelf (it tilted and needed securing to the wall) with reading light. My husband had to use the windowsill as his bedside shelf and getting out of bed for him was very restrictive as the bed was pushed against the wall resulting in him having to climb across to get out! We gathered that these rooms are labelled cosy rooms and obviously cheaper. We weren't expecting a luxury room, depicted on their website for what we paid but we were anticipating a standard size double room.

We booked ok the same day, and were put in one of three room in the parking area which are newly constructed as opposed to the main castle.

Our bedroom was ridiculously small one side of the bed was pushed up to the radiator and window with pipe boxing then a wardrobe close to the bottom so you had to climb a step and squeeze round a corner nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom shower cubicle so small you had to squeeze through the doors then you couldn’t bend to wash your feet. No drawers in bedroom.single wardrobe half full of ironing board iron hairdryer and robes…nowhere else to put them Breakfast overpriced and things missing

Food was disappointing - nice starter at dinner but main (chicken schnitzel) was very greasy. And surprised that there was no cooked breakfast option.

After booking in and being shown room had not be cleaned at all from last guest wet towels on the bed bed unmade glass of water not drunk not good at all after informing staff the room was then cleaned immediately but u should never be shown to a dirty room

Ontbijt was goed. Huis was prachtig aan de buitenkant.

Wij kregen een kamer helemaal bovenin, verschillende trappen op ook in de kamer zelf. Het dak liep schuin en er zat alleen een dakraam in, geen airco, het was erg warm. Bed was te smal voor ons en in de kamer zelf kon mijn man van bijna 2 meter niet goed rechtop staan. Jammer zag er aan de buitenkant veelbelovend uit. Dit besproken met de receptie en die zei dat ze met Booking.com in gesprek zijn om dit anders aan te geven op hun site, zodat je beter kan zien welke kamer je boekt.

Schönes Anwesen

Wir haben ein kleines Doppelzimmer gebucht und das Bett war sehr schmal ca 120cm breit und man konnte den Koffer kaum öffnen.

Das Haupthaus war wunderbar. Tolles Ambiente, liebevoll gestaltet und dekoriert. Das Abendessen und das Frühstück waren hervorragend .

Leider wurden wir im Nebengebäude untergebracht... beim Buchen GAAAANZ genau hinschauen.

Beautiful property with the most amazing grounds. We travelled with our 2 year old son and had a lovely stay. Staff are friendly and professional. Breakfast had a nice variety even though some fried eggs and bacon or some warm breakfast options would have been nice.

Het ontbijt was echt geweldig. Mooie omgeving, mooi gebouw, kamer was prima.

Slapen in veel licht aangezien spits op onze kamer gericht stonden. Dit aangegeven, er zou een timer op staan. Maar de hele nacht stond hij aan. Ook de tweede nacht. Verder was het prima.

We were put into a small double room which was not fit for purpose, there was no wardrobe, no draws , the room was to small with not enough space to put things , very disgusting, apart from our bad first night we were delighted with the rest of our stay once they moved us to another room . This room on the 1st night is not good for older or indeed disabled people to stay in ,

Really lovely location - such a beautiful part of the world - lots of fun activities to do nearby (including lovely swim spots and walk/cycle routes - pretty towns and villages within easy reach). Beautiful building. Very friendly and welcoming service. Excellent breakfast.

We would have preferred to stay in the main building as this had a bit more character than the villa. (Ours was a last-minute booking at a very busy time of the year!)

Room was dirty with cobwebs around bed, horrendous sewage smell in bathroom and ants over the dressing table, one small frosted window that opened to view rear car park and derelict buildings, spoilt our weekend as had to drive home.

I looked at the website with the beautiful old country building with tasteful antique looking furniture and decor that suits the building. Then I was shown to my room which was in a modern lodge at the back of the building, I was disappointed It was not what I expected. I would like to have been informed of this before arrival I also presumed breakfast was included, but it was not , I was offered continental breakfast only with an extra charge.

Beautiful building in a lovely, quiet location. Nice gardens and easy parking. Room was comfortable especially the large bed. Friendly staff. It was a great base for exploring the area.

I thought that there could have been a little more attention to detail. For example the shower door didn't close properly, the grout needed bleaching, there was nowhere to put your toiletries in the bathroom & the light & the fan were on constantly. The TV signal was also poor & kept breaking up which just got annoying after a while. I was ok staying in this room for 2 nights but I wouldn't have wanted to be there any longer. These are just suggestions to improve - overall we had a lovely break & would come back.

The room was much smaller than I had realised , we booked a small double and it was probably the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in . It was basically a corridor with a bathroom off it and the small bed at the end next to the window . Very difficult to move around in and in the heat . We had been travelling for a few days so had a few cases and there was no space to open them properly. Lovely bathroom and very well equipped , would work as a single but not really a double . There are no photos of the room type either on Booking.com or the hotel website , had I seen a picture before i booked would have opted for a bigger room .

There was so much to like but the thing which stood out the most was the exceptional attitude displayed by all the staff; friendly, helpful and very likeable.

There was nothing to dislike. The only area for improvement for me would be the implementation of a broader menu for the price.

Was told when I booked there was no restaurant, upon arrival was told yes there was an evening meal. Too late had already booked elsewhere. Couple in room next to us where talking very loudly until very late. Phoned down to reception, not sure if they contacted the room next to us but there was no change in the volume

Lovely Hall, tastefully restored and converted into a hotel. In a lovely rural location but also only a short drive or taxi ride from Conway. Terrace garden was fantastic to have a relaxing drink on a warm summer’s day.

This was a stay that Porsche Club GB West Midlands had arranged as part of a weekend in Wales after spending Saturday at Porsches on the Prom in Llandudno. Aled and the team did a fantastic job of looking after out group of 22 including running our group evening meal on the Saturday night (along with the drinking session afterwards). The rooms were very comfortable with everything you could need. The breakfast was lovely with lots of fresh fruit. We shall return in 2027.
