Friendly helpfstaff. Beautiful area
Ive stay here a few times and for same price but this room was not of the usual standard. Mold in shower and shower slow gaps in skirting looking un inviting. Room much smaller
Good size town room with view towards estuary
The location was great, plenty of parking, food options were good, staff were lovely
The door to the room was a bit stiff, we had an accessible room but it had a shower over the bath rather than a walk in shower or wet room, it would benefit from more grab rails or the bath changing to a shower.
The room was clean, with a comfortable king sized bed. All the amenities needed were provided in the room and a restaurant was on site.
The people in the room above us were noisy, but they did settle down about midnight.
Location was convenient
Black mould in the shower was very off putting. Didn't feel clean after being in the shower. Light fitting poorly finished and boxing around toilet shabby. Bed sheet had a hole in it.
absolutely lovely, stunning views very clean and well presented the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding for breakfast and the farm shop had absolutely lots and lots of fabulous food.
Great location. Helpful staff
The bar and restaurant close earlier than I expected
So friendly and welcoming. Beautiful room. So pretty. Lovely produce in the room.
Nothing
The location and views are beautiful. The restaurant was amazing with really delicious food and wine. We had breakfast in the cafe with was also lovely. All the team were very friendly and helpful - we were made to feel very at home and relaxed.
Some of the furnishing in the room are a little grubby and could do with a fabric clean. I suspect this is due to it being dog friendly as we brought our pooch - but maybe some blankets so owners could throw them over the chairs to help protect the fabric would help. The bathroom could do with a refresher as some parts were a bit grubby and worn. There is definitely a drain smell issue in the bathroom - very strong and unpleasant smell coming up from the sink and shower. It’s such a big room you could extend the bathroom to include a few standing bath which would be lovely. The bed is two singles pushed together - it really needs a decent topper when being used as a double bed as the middle part is very uncomfortable. The bedding was lovely and clean though.
Breakfast was lovely, great view from our room.
Sealant and grout were grubby in the shower and overall could have done with a coat of paint. Floor was creaky outside the door and in the room above our room which was “Sage”.
The staff, restaurant, cafe, shop and view were all amazing. Can't fault the location. Staff were very helpful & friendly.
I was really looking forward to staying here, however, you can hear everything through the walls and corridor, other guests talking, laughing and socialising loudly until midnight, and again first thing in the morning, in and out of rooms, slamming doors, no consideration for other guests. Unfortunately I didn't sleep well and left with a banging headache, the room was dusty, lots of spiders and webs, and a bit dated in areas.
Lovely and charming place with great food, peace and stunning surroundings
Bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but still absolutely fine, wouldn’t put me off staying again
The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed including tea, coffee, water and even fruit and crisps. The farm shop is very well stocked and a lovely addition to our stay. We both had the full English breakfast and it was fantastic. We will be staying again.
Comfortable accommodation. Facilities staff friendly and professional
My welcome basket was not complete.
The setting is beautiful and the staff were amazing, the breakfasts are to die for
The room could have been a little better equipped with basic things such as, the table which the kettle was in was really unstable, the bathroom was lovely but didn't have a decent sized mirror as my Mrs found it hard to get ready as they do, but other than those little discrepancies I thought it was really really nice
On arrival at a beautiful studio cottage in bodnant welsh Gdns clean, fresh, beautiful views. More than we expected, cafe with great food, all staff lovely and friendly, a great day and night event. Only to happy when requested to stay an extra night. Best sleep ever beds so comfy. Have to say this will be top of our list from now........Loved our stay ☘️💕
Bit of cleaning items for bathroom and kitchen. Nothing else xx
Not a lot.
Toilet seat falling off. Opened the window and had to leave it open because it wouldn’t close. Very poor excuse for a tv. Concerned about the P A T test date on the kettle. The nearby road was extremely noisy . I don’t think there was a door in the building that didn’t squeak. I did meet the cleaning lady who was very helpful. My general feeling was that the building lacked any maintenance which would have solved most of the problems.
Was beautiful location got some. Lovely picture
More handrail in bathroom area very unsteady on my legs
Lovely staff and a nice cosy room.
It's an old property so expect lots of creaky floorboard noise from the rooms above and neighbouring showers. But expected issues in a lovely old building like this.
The venue, the staff, the shop, the cafe. The accommodation were all absolutely fantastic
The restaurant who ran out of chicken which meant we didn't eat at the restaurant
The location and character of the place is literally breathtaking. The bedroom comfortable. Food excellent. I wish I could have stayed longer to appreciate it fully.
The shower tray filled with water very quickly and I had to curtail my shower very quickly lest it overflow and flood the bathroom.
Breakfast was the only think we liked.
WE booked an assisted room, it wasn't! a lot of steps up to the room, the room was very small, we stayed for 2 nights. Poor facilites (restaurant and bar) Couldn't get a meal on the Friday night, only 4 course fish meal for £55 pp. Coffee and tea not refreshed for second night etc. e mail regarding booking not responded to.
Great location
Shabby accommodation - needs a freshen up. Old towels that were yellowing and stained shower tray. Also some loose tiles in bathroom. Breakfast in cafe was inflexible and expensive and not very welcoming. Very different to the personal welcome you receive in a traditional bed & breakfast.
Lovely location Comfy bed
The teas were rather stale, and we ran out of both tea and milk. There were no extra sachets available. Apart from that, we had everything we needed.
Atmosphere, friendly staff, restaurant.
Restaurant service could be improved but maybe it was a busy night for them
Not much
Room was dirty, stains on the furniture, bathroom was dirty, shelf in the bathroom hanging off the wall. Our meal in the hayloft restaurant was dire, wife's starter came and it took another 30 mins for mine to arrive after asking 2 members of staff. Witnessed 2 other parties also complaining about the service and food. Complained and was told I would be called the following day to resolve. No call received. Have now written to complain, so far no response.
Location was handy for where I wanted to visit. First stay I had a room with a beautiful sunset view across the river.
Bar wasn’t available on my second stay in the evening n room window didn’t have much of a view. Also the breakfast do not start until later around 10ish
I stayed here as it was convenient location. I needed to leave early in the morning but the cafe doesn’t open for breakfast until after 9am. I understood before booking and it wasn’t a problem.
Beautiful location and the room was lovely. The coffee/tea/snack tray was a nice touch.
The only thing we could fault was the shower - more of a dribble.
Lovely location & tranquil
Pretty views.
Single room was tiny and at the top of the house. Description should have included the fact that the room was ‘cosy’. Nice to have a small kitchenette in our room. The armchairs in the room were a nice touch but they were very tired and not comfortable to sit on. Television didn’t work for long. Picture would freeze then disappear. Not possible to watch.
Fab location
Its a big place on several levels on a hill, parking and general signage (reception, etc) could be a lot better. There is not a lot of staff, despite high season, so it's difficult to find anyone to ask.
Great food on site and close to the national garden which is definitely worth visiting
Location was out of the way but ideal if you just want a quiet weekend and nice walks
Het uitzicht en de wekomstkoekjes, fruit en thee, koffie.
Zeer gehorig, vuil tapijt, tegels in badkamer lagen los, douche liep niet door.
The very friendly staff and the how dog friendly it was. We had a lovely view from our comfy room. The location was great, easy to get to local towns. The food in the restaurant was also very good.
The little bit of mould around the shower needs to be removed before it gets worse. I would've also liked our room to have been made up for the second night, tea and coffee stocks replenished and the bin emptied. Everything else was fine.
Location,, great views, farm shop, close to a National trust prpoerty, staff very helpful.
The girl who checked us in was very helpful and friendly
Great location, next to Bodnant Garden, close to Conwy Castle and with a lovely view over the River Conwy to the hills beyond. A sympathetic farmhouse restoration providing comfortable and spacious rooms without losing the farmhouse feel. The adjacent complex houses a large café with a wide choice of food with a 'home cooked' vibe, with both interior and courtyard tables. The farm shop stocks a good range of food and gift items. There's even a play area for younger children. Plenty of parking adjacent to the complex. Whilst there was no reception as such, communication from the hotel was excellent and keys were left out for us, being late arrivals. All worked well. Very good value all round.
Nothing at all to complain about.
Location was good. Room was nice.
No bar or restaurant on Monday evening. Tv not working in our room and no one at the venue to contact. Seemed to be completely closed.
The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The location was good. Beautiful views and lovely sunset.
The room was very small and claustrophobic. The body wash was nearly empty. The food was mediocre. Confusion on prices as it stated on menu 3 courses fixed price. We were charged for individual courses. I did speak to staff member and some money was taken off. In general we thought the whole place could do with some TLC as lovely buildings but not made the best of. Expensive for what you got as having to pay £35 for breakfast on top of room. And service let the experience down. Room £120 we also purchased a meal and drinks £148 then breakfast to pay for.
Everything it's a stunning place ! Everything you need in one place ! X
Nothing .
Spacious bedroom and bathroom . Clean and tidy. Good location
No wardrobe or anywhere to hang clothes Extremely squeaky flooring both in the room and the one above meaning every footstep could be heard.
Our room was quite small but had everything we needed .We had a beautiful view of the estuary .The shower was good and bedding and towels were nice quality .All the staff were friendly .We had Sunday dinner in The Hayloft ,it was delicious and the breakfast at the cafe was tasty and good quality .It is only about 10mins drive into Conway .
Disappointed that the bar closed early at 7.00 on Sunday. Then the restaurant and bar was closed on our second day .Maybe a small drinks fridge n the room.?
Good location for Bodnant Gardens Comfortable and very clean with windows that open! Lovely views over the river.
The Farmhouse garden is tired now (have stayed before). For example scruffy flags on fence and childrens' play area laying flat - not inviting to sit out. Notice on table asks guests to respect others with quietness but the doors are horrendously squeaky! Can't comment on bar or restaurant as all closed (Tuesday) but food was very good when we stayed a few years ago.
The setting was lovely
Breakfast. It was like a café. The bacon and sausage were overcooked and the croissants were inedible and returned to the kitchen.
Location was excellent, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cleanliness of the bathroom could be improved and mattress not the best. Breakfast did not start until 9.30 and was slow so not good if you like an early start.
Locatie
Oud huis. Kamers zijn erg gehorig, voetstappen van bovenburen goed te horen.
I enjoyed the quality finish and cleanliness of it all. The staff were polite and friendly and our Artisan Market was on site so perfect for us.
Breakfast was excellant.
Size of room was very small, especially with dog. Room could have been cleaner; mirror, a towel had dirty stain. Paintwork shabby approaching room. In need of some tlc. Noisy floorboards from people above ,however there didn't seem to be a floor above, odd.
Easy to find but no explanation to go to the farm shop to book in
No directions to say where reception was
Beautiful location.
It's a pity the breakfast is dependant on the shop/cafe and this only opened at 0930.
Location, location what a gem, with views over the river valley. Excellent Welsh food centre dining & all dog friendly!!!!!
The room was exceptionally small & Decor was dated. Cleaning was only done to eye level. The bathroom had numerous issues regarding hygiene. Public areas WC were unclean eg special needs toilet was a disgrace Please, please get the domestic side of your business sorted. The poor cleaner was stretched to her limits.
Ontbijt vanaf 9.30???? Daarvoor hebben we 20 pond per persoon vooraf betaald???? Aangezien wij op doorreis zijn was dit veel te laat en hebben we dit dus niet kunnen ervaren. Niemand gezien tijdens ons verblijf. Alles was gesloten. Ons handoeken op de kamer waren vuil en gescheurd. Ik heb twijfels of het beddengoed ververst was.
Location and view
No meet and greet - staff member in the farm shop was unaware we were arriving. nobody to contact after 5. We had a twin room but only 1 bed had a duvet - no one to contact after. Minimal information .
Location, room, the whole area is wonderful. Beautiful views, comfortable bed, a lovely stay.
The room didn't have any cleaning while we stayed, and the electrical safety light was always on.
A beautiful setting despite being easy to find and access and there was outside space to sit and enjoy the views and walk the dog. Plenty of parking and generous amount of tea and coffee with Welsh cakes, crisps and fruit as a nice touch
The bed sheet was rather bobbly and old and we had not realised that breakfast would only be a available from the cafe when it opened but minor points and we would stay again.
Location and great onsite facilities.
Room good but a little tired.
Beautiful location and friendly staff
Location
Cleanliness/housekeeping of room bar and farm shop. It requires a Deep clean .
Breakfast was good, location was great.
Wasn't told when I booked that restaurant wasn't open Monday & Tuesday until we got there. Cafe closes at 4pm.
This was a chance for us to get away and it was surprisingly good in an unusual way.
All good but as it was a bank holiday not everything was open. I'd go back on a more normal day.
Amazing
Beautiful building Stunning scenery Cafe restaurant and shop on site
Paid £25 for dog to stay but nothing in room for dog, compared to other places we have stayed. This is just feedback as we had an amazing stay & loved the place
Gorgeous room in a Gorgeous location, staff were so friendly
Nothing
Everything
Beautiful surroundings everything on your door step and great attention to detail, staff very friendly and food of a good standard
Nothing it was all lovely ,bathroom was a bit dark as no window and light over mirror did not seem to work but did not put us off would definitely stay again
la chambre vraiment petite
Very friendly stall, excellent local knowledge
Good location, nice although this was not included.
We started with a meal at the restaurant. They kindly squeezed us in although they were fully booked. However, the portions were ridiculously small and we were still hungry after 3 courses. The starter was 3 prawns and some stale pitta. Main tasted nice but not much of it. Dessert was about 1/5 the usual size of a slice of cheesecake. The room was well presented and fairly comfortable with lovely views. There was only one bedside table between two beds. Noise from the accommodation upstairs was very loud in our room. The beautiful hamper advertised on the internet was 2 packets of crisps, 2 shortbread biscuits and a very old apple and orange. Bath temperature was warm but not hot enough, the bath was lukewarm by the time it had run. No toilet brush. A shame because the potential is there to be so much better with a little more care and a few simple changes. Oh and if you pay for breakfast on booking.com it costs £70 more (for 2 people). Pay on the day for £12 each.
Breakfast was fantastic and the staff very helpful. We would have like to be able to breakfast earlier say 8.30. The room was clean and a good selection of complimentary food/teas - no coffee though. Views up the estuary lovely. A great stay to enable our visit to Bodnant Gardens which were superb.
The shower was mouldy. An easy chair in the room would have made relaxing easier. Only option was to sit/lie on the bed
We received a £20pp voucher for breakfast and it was very good and the staff were friendly
We got no welcome or goodbye. No politeness
Everything
Nothing
Everything. Lovely views, farmshop, comfy bed, lots of complementary food and teas
An event going on at restaurant and so a bit noisy and couldn't use it. Cafe closed ast 4 which was alternative.
The view was beautiful. It was a two night stay.
The bathroom was filthy and the kettle was dirty inside and out cobwebs and dust around the bed lights, the bed sheet the lay on had human hair on it!
Treats were a nice touch. Coffees and tea good.
All good.
did not have breakfast,
hard to find check-in, sign to check-in would help-at turn in.
Scenery B and weather and setting
Accessibility of room Dismissive interaction from manager Additional charge for pets after approval Poor communication - changing agreements - check in and pet charge Lack of finish and lack of cleanliness in room
Gorgeous setting and a friendly welcome.
Breakfast isn't available until 09:30 - way too late. Restaurant only open half the week. Room and bathroom needed better cleaning.
We did not book breakfast.
Good coffee, good service, good food.
The price, little bit expensive.
Beautiful location
The giant green light in the ceiling which was so bright there was no way to get a decent nights sleep. It was like the emergency light you might expect to see in the stairwell in a hotel to help with exiting during a fire, not something you expect in a bedroom. The lack of sleep spoilt my holiday. We didn’t find anyway to turn it off and the place seems to have no actual staff related to the accommodation. The bathroom was also rather shoddy.
Very poor nor even a chair to sit on
