Holiday Inn Blackpool by IHG

After a slight hiccup with trying to find my booking on their system, the staff were brilliant. They apologised for a technical issue beyond their control and upgraded the room free of charge with a complementary drink at the bar for both myself and partner. The facilities were perfect for what we needed and there wasn’t a single thing wrong with the place. There was an extensive choice for breakfast with great service.

There are no comments in any negative way. Our expectations were exceeded

Trying to book breakfast before we arrived at £12 as per your email. We were told by a members of staff at reservations that we had to contact booking .com. After speaking to 3 different people with me reading the email to a manager we were told breakfast date would be honoured and booked at the agreed rate.

Room and bathroom generally good, reception on arrival was good. Cleanliness of common areas was good. Parking for £12 for 2 days

Cleanliness of room- net curtains had a brown mark I am hoping was only chocolate and nothing worse. Restaurant service for evening meal very disjointed. Food was good, however we were advised to sit anywhere by first staff member and she saw where we sat, then a second female came some 15 minutes later to take food order (only when she looked over to our table while she took the order of the table next to us - who had sat a good 10 minutes after us) at which point I said we needed a drinks menu, she took our food order but no drinks menu came, the starters were brought out by a third staff member and he then took our drink order. The drinks did not come until after the starters were cleared. Then a fourth staff member brought out the mains. At no point were we checked on if everything was ok. Each staff member was polite and professional but the restaurant was not busy so the service was very lacking. When we wanted to leave and pay again we had to go and find a staff member.

The property is next door to Blackpool North rail station and is easy walking distance to the sea front and the winter gardens and opera house. Great breakfast, spotlessly clean rooms and helpful friendly staff in all areas of the hotel.

Holiday inn staff attitude ,women this year on reception. Checked in left bags at 11am told to come back by the bloke , 2pm went back the lady said you can't have your room till 3pm yet others were being given door keys , then my request i booked from on system for a front room was denied and was put in the noisest room at back with no sleep 3 nights, loud music next door bar from flying handbag till 4 to 5 am . It was not fair , I won't be returning They had a empty room where I wanted and was not allowed it , it was not a nice experience this year . The room opposite was the quieter room and the window view i wanted .also she sparked and told me I never booked a double room which I did and had proof. I'm done with this hotel last year was absolutely perfect over my birthday this year a complete disaster with the check in and room .

Well situated with easy access to the town centre, easy walk to the seafront and direct access to the tram stop, the train station is also close by, the standard of cleanliness was excellent and the staff were very polite and helpful .

The place itself and its general ambience was great. The staff were lovely and the hotel is really near all facilities and entertainment. Transport systems are all nearby and very reasonable. The rooms are lovely and the food was great

On a 4 day stay the rooms had not been replenished with clean towels etc . However Reception provided all we needed anyway when we asked

We like everything about holiday inn this is why i came back. Only thing we could have done well with some complementary water which was surprising to me.

The food was first class we usually stay at the Premier inn but thought we would have a change, and wow, Joshua sorted our rooms from reception, ensured all was well on arrival was very professional in checking in and telling us what, where and when. We had evening meal just all perfect nothing re-heated thanks you team, the service at evening meal and breakfast was just the best.

I was in room 315 and the music from over the road was very load until very late but thats is out of your control, unless you put triple glazing in

The hotel is in a great location. Next to Blackpool North Train Station. The tram stop is close to the hotel. Winter Gardens and Blackpool Tower is 10 mins walk away. Received a warm welcome from the reception team. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Great food. The hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. We are already planning our return visit.

The air conditioning was broken which was disappointing. The air conditioning is also on a timer so when it did eventually work it kept turning off automatically. Rang to reception to request a jug of tap water and was told it would cost £5 for room service ! Never ever heard of that before.

The hotel was right near the train and tram station so it was easy accessible if you didnt want to walk. The hotel staff were amazing, we got a room upgrade at no extra cost and the whole experience was fantastic. The evening room service was also of a high standard

There was 1 male staff member on reception throughout the night whom was so rude towards us when trying to ask basic questions about breakfast in the morning

It’s a new hotel and can’t really be faulted. Staff were superb. It’s just I was travelling with my elderly father who is a little deaf and the guests children were making a lot of noise. Not a bad thing really but the hard surfaces do little to dampen the racket and there is nowhere set up for them to play.

Room was spacious , very clean and had everything needed for us during our stay. When we arrived the pull out sofa bed wasnt made us , quick trip to reception and within 10 minutes it was made us for my children .the staff was so polite and nothing was to big for them to do. Hotel was clean , food was wonderful and good amount for money spent. Would definitely stay again and have recommended to family and friends

Only down fall was the car parking situation, we had to use the multi story car park and had to carry everything over the road which with 3 children was a great pain . Car parking facilities on site would definitely be a lot better or if not maybe help for larger group with baggage .

So close to rail station great when coming from Manchester Airport by rail. Lovely modern hotel.. accommodates all needs and so close and with short walking distances to all amenities that Blackpool has on offer.

Handily located opposite the railway station. Decent sized room with a large comfy bed, big sofa with coffee table, large TV (but strangely limited channels, unless the controller needed a degree in remote operating which is possible). Decent bathroom with large walk in rain shower. Good drink making facilities including kettle and coffee machine. Breakfast was also very good with a decent vegan selection with vegan sausages available on request.

Location, quality of room, friendliness of staff. Late night bar facilities were very pleasant.

Dynamic pricing - I was forced to book on the day as the landlord of my other apparrtment cancelled the night before. £638 for 2 nights is too much and my wife was checking on her phone and the price had jumped to over £900. There was no bath (just a shower) or breakfast with this room....

Das es keine Fenster im Zimmer gibt, nur Klima Anlage finde ich nicht so gut. Die Sauberkeit ließ sehr zu wünschen übrig, die Bettlaken und die Bettbezüge waren schmutzig, musste ich austauschen lassen. Die Tagesdecke und die Zierkissen waren mit Haaren voll und fleckig, könnte man weglassen, ist sehr unästhetisch.

I booked this hotel because I wanted something reliable and it delivered. We had a really smooth and stress free stay. Staff were excellent. Great location by the main railway station and close to Blackpool Tower

The twin room had a double + a sofa bed rather than two proper beds which wasn't ideal really especially for the price which is hardly cheap.

Excellent breakfast, everything you could ask for and plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and polite and couldn't do enough for you. Hotel was spotlessly clean.

We did not enjoy the dinner in the restaurant. The chicken burger was over cooked and not much of it with far too much crispy batter. The cheese beef burger was also poor, very little cheese. The lettuce and tomato that came with the meals was very limp and inedible. The restaurant staff were lovely so we did not complain at the time.

Hotel perfectly placed for easy access to all the attractions and venues with tram stop and train station on the doorstep. Absolutely fell in love with the SOAK toiletries, just wish they were available to buy. Debbie in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic and turned a bowl of porridge into a work of art!! Loved the cleanliness of the hotel, in fact we loved everything about it
