Der Strand vor dem Hotel ist auf Grund des direkt vorgelagerten Korallenriffes sehr steinig. Für Kinder empfiehlt sich definitiv Strandschuhe und als Erwachsener hätte ich es mir durchaus ebenfalls gewünscht

Hébergement spacieux avec 2 chambres et 2 salles de bain. Propre. Le personnel plutôt sympa. Le restaurant vivant (mais pas très bon).

Quand nous sommes arrivés, ils avaient donné notre villa à d'autres clients sans qu'on sache pourquoi). On a du attendre 1h pour avoir notre villa, ce qui n'était pas cool. La vue n'est pas une vue sur mer comme réservé (ou de loin). Il y avait des travaux en cours (construction de bungalows) et ca fait du bruit. La qualité des matériaux est vraiment mauvaise. Aucune isolation du toit donc on entend la pluie comme si on était dessous :) Le petit déjeuner inclus est correcte mais peut mieux faire. Et comme partout en Malaisie, même à ce prix-là, pas de changements de draps ou de nettoyage pendant le séjour. C'est surtout au regard du prix très élevé que le rapport qualité prix n'est pas bon.

Delante de las instalaciones del hotel hay una preciosa y fotogénica playa. Si sois aficionados al snorkel, delante mismo del hotel entre 2/4 m de profundidad os esperan unos corales bastante sanos, muchos peces payaso, alguna tortuga ( en 3 días yo vi 4 ), quizás algún pequeño tiburón de arrecife e infinidad de peces tropicales. El agua alrededor de la isla de Tioman no es especialmente clara en agosto, pero se puede disfrutar.

Bei unserer Buchung gab es eine Überbuchung und ein Zimmer war nicht wie geplant, der Ersatz war gut und zur Entschädigung gab es noch eine Einladung zu einer ganztägigen Schnorcheltour; Sehr gutes Frühstück; Die Zimmer sehr sauber und alles relativ neu. Jederzeit wieder!

Le mobilier dans les chambres plutôt vétuste, le seul meuble pour poser les affaires et rempli de rouille. Salle de bain un peu rudimentaire. Linge de lit un peu taché

Villa perfetta pulitissima lenzuola asciugamani tutto. Aria condionata e pale top. Staff gentilissimo, forse un po' in pochi ma sempre disponibili. Colazione potrebbe migliorare ma era tutto talmente bello che andava bene lo stesso. La cosa più importante? Barriera corallina di fronte al resort! A 50 metri sulla destra guardando il mare, quando c'è bassa o media marea prendere maschera e boccaglio.. e siete in un acquario. Inpagabile!!

Colazione non top, ristorante interno forse un pochino caro e leggera disorganizzazione ma lo staff si fa in quattro per assistere e sono gentilissimi

Miglior posto sull’isola. Il reef davanti alla struttura è impagabile le stanze molto semplici ma pulite.

Colazione buona, ristorante dovrebbe offrire bbq e piu piatti malesi curati. Un po dozzinale come proposta.

The rooms are a little rustic but perfectly comfortable for a tropical island. Yes, there are some ants but not an issue at all. The rooms are located directly across from the beach so easy access. Just don't leave food out as the monkeys will grab it.

Notre logement était propre et confortable. Notre chambre donnait sur la plage directement et disposait d'un petit balcon avec des chaises. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et varié (sucré et salé) et tout le personnel est très sympathique et très réactif. L'hôtel possède un restaurant pour le dîner et propose des excursions

Die Lage war hervorragend und das Essen (Frühstücken und Abendessen) war sehr lecker.

Das Badezimmer war nicht besonders sauber, es hatte einige Ameisen.

A beautiful place with an incredibly kind and welcoming host. I only stayed one night, but I had a wonderful experience, and the restaurant was excellent!

Wij sloten de vakantie af op tioman Island en dit was echt heerlijk, na 3 weken reizen was het even lekker helemaal niks te doen en te genieten van het strand en de zee. De locatie is echt super. Wij hadden een strandhuisje en dit was echt top. Je stapt de deur uit en zit gelijk op het strand. De zee is rustig en aan het einde van de middag vaak ondiep ( ideaal met kids ). Het ontbijt wat erbij zat was goed, je kon uit genoeg dingen kiezen. Het restaurant zit gelijk bij het huisje , hier kan je in de avond heerlijk eten. Wij hebben echt genoten. Het personeel wat er werkt wil je met alles helpen en zijn aardig.

Todo. El bungalow que tuvimos estaba frente al mar. Era amplio para una familia de 4. Tenía una terraza con unas vistas al mar impresionantes. El personal muy amable. Teníamos desayuno incluido y aunque no había mucha variedad, estaba muy bien. Contratamos con ellos una excursión para hacer esnorquel y nos encantó. Estuvimos alojados 7 noches y todo perfecto.

Check vooraf zeer goed welke unit je juist geboekt hebt....er zit veel verschil tussen qua degelijkheid en zicht op zee, het strand.

Wir hatten ein Apartment direkt am Meer. Als wir ankamen hat uns bereits ein hotelmitarbeiter bei der fähre erwartet und unsere koffer ins resort gebracht. Wir hatten spätabends ein Problem mit unserer Klimaanlage welches sofort behoben wurde. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer auf den Strand war toll.

Wir waren 4 Nächte in dumba bay. Das Zimmer wurde aber nie gereinigt bzw. Handtücher ausgetauscht. Es wäre ok gewesen wenn es zumindest alle 2 Tage passiert da durch die strandnähe unvermeidlich Sand im apartment landet.am 3ten Tag haben wir im Menue beim Abendessen gesehen, das man das Zimmerservice extra anfordern muss, aber das uns dann schon zu spät. Eventuell wäre besser dies etwas besser direkt im Zimmer anzuschreiben.

It was my second time staying at Dumba bay. Overall, great place, with very friendly and helpful staff and owner. Comparatively pleasant, clean, and delightful place to stay.

Locatie was top, we zaten met ons gezin in een 4p kamer recht aan het strand. Kamers waren schoon. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt was prima. Het hotel heeft een van de weinige terrassen van het dorp met voornamelijk westers eten. Tourtjes voor bijvoorbeeld snorkelen zijn makkelijk te boeken via Dumba Bay.

We stayed as a family at Dumba Bay from 16 to 21 July 2026, mainly for the calm advertised at booking. In reality, several nights were ruined by drunk guests shouting, slamming doors and vomiting between 1–3 am, with bottles and cigarettes left around our accommodation the next morning. On one of these nights, around 1 am, I personally had to confront the intoxicated guests myself, at my own risk, because no effective action was taken to stop the disturbance. The staff on site were very friendly and did what they could, but they seemed completely dependent on top management based in Kuala Lumpur, who have not even answered my emails about this situation. Despite multiple reports, no clear rules or effective action were implemented to protect guests’ rest, and a last‑minute room change for our final night did not compensate for the stress and lack of sleep throughout the stay. We do not recommend this hotel to travellers looking for a quiet environment or serious management of noise and guest behaviour.

Abbiamo prenotato una camera matrimoniale standard dall’Italia ma non sono molto chiare le foto da Booking. Quando siamo arrivati abbiamo scoperto che ci sono tre differenti tipologie di ‘bungalow’ il nostro era il più ‘scarso’ rispetto agli altri: posizione sempre ottimale praticamente sul lungomare, però molto angusto, piccolo, umidità 100%, pieno di formiche per cui abbiamo chiesto un prodotto che ci è stato dato. Il ristorante è aperto solo la sera, molti piatti presenti nel menù non li hanno

La posizione prima di tutto. Il cottage è a due passi dal mare e quello vale tutto. Per qualsiasi cosa puoi davvero rientrare in camera per poi tornare subito in spiaggia. Staff disponibile e gentile. Se hai bisogno di aiuto ti vengono a prendere i bagagli al molo. Se vuoi far sistemare la stanza basta chiederlo al momento della colazione. Colazione buona, c'è sia dolce che salato. La struttura dà la possibilità di riempire bottiglie o borracce con acqua fredda o calda. Se hai bisogno di un asciugacapelli basta chiedere (non c'è shampoo), così come i teli da spiaggia. Si possono fare escursioni ma non tutte disponibili: se sei interessato a una in particolare ma non c'è numero minimo di partecipanti, ti aggreghi ad altre già programmate. Sì può pagare con carta di credito. Bar-ristorante aperto dalle 16.

Ho un po' di formiche in bagno ma è comprensibile dato che sei a due passi dalla giungla. Stanza abbastanza grande ma non ci sono molti spazi per appoggiare le cose, ma ci si adatta.

Close to an amazing beach. Restaurant in front of the resort. The resort offers snorkeling trips. Breakfast was okay and the surrounding offers everything you need for a short trip.

Many aunts inside of the guest house. No soap. Doors weren’t properly locked (feels a little unsafe). All in all, it’s okay because there aren’t many other options at this place of the island.

Uno dei resort più belli in località Genting, di fronte a un mare e a una spiaggia stupenda, possibile fare anche snorkelling proprio di fronte al villaggio, camere pulite e con tutto il necessario, solo un po di formiche ma è normale visto e considerato che siamo nella giungla, preparatevi a incontrare scimmie, volpi volanti, varani e scoiattoli neri, proprio fuori dalla camera, una esperienza bellissima se si vuole vivere la vera isola e i veri local!!!

Tuvimos el apartamento frente a la playa, al lado del bar, una playa maravillosa, tranquila, idílica.

A partir de la tarde ponían música en el bar y a veces era molesta, por el volumen y porque se repetía mucho.

We stayed for 1 week, deluxe cabin right near the sea. Only thing between us and the beach was the main path that went through Genting. The room was huge and clean. Wifi was great here! We had room 104, I know some reviews had messaged to say that the wifi didn't reach. The restaurant food was really good and had a mix of Asian and Western food too offer. Breakfast always had 1 style of noodles, a side dish such as samosa, spring roles, some sweet bun or dim sums. Fruit, toast, on one occasion croissants, chocolate spread and jam. Most importantly theu had an egg station which we loved! Eggs were cooked perfectly. So am confused as to why there are some comments stating there was not a lot of choice, considering they rely on all products to be brought in from the mainland. Considering how tasty the malay breakfast was, I would have loved to see more malay options for dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay! We would highly recommended the stay here.

Staff was friendly and the restaurant was convenient so that we didn't have to find another place, since not all nearby restaurants were open. The food was nice as well with great variety. We also liked that this is a connecting room suite that can host up to six, perfect for big family and other resorts hardly have such room type.

We booked two nights but no housekeeping after the 1st night and short of toilet paper. I think if you approach the staff they will help but do not expect the standard hotel service where they replenish water, towels etc.

- We had bed bugs in both beds in the first room and were biten everywhere. Our legs, arms and back were full of itchy bites. We noticed it must be bed bugs after the second night because we used mosquito spray all the time and woke up with even more bites the next day. We informed the stuff and could change the room but slept the rest of the remaining nights on towels we put on the top of the beds.

Amazing location, good breakfast and lovely staff. Many restaurants nearby, where you can eat local food.

We originally booked a standard room, but unfortunately the air-conditioning in that room was not working properly—it was still blowing warm air even after running for an hour. We immediately informed the hotel staff, and they responded very quickly. At that time, only the premium tent room was available, and without hesitation, the staff upgraded us for free. We ended up staying there for two nights, and it was extremely comfortable. The stay included breakfast, which mainly featured Malaysian food, along with some bread, coffee, and tea. The restaurant also provided both hot and cold drinking water, which was very convenient. On the day we checked out, we almost missed our ferry because we forgot the departure time. Thankfully, the hotel staff kindly came to the entrance to remind us that the ferry had arrived. They even helped us carry our luggage and arranged for a quick ride so we could reach the jetty on time. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful throughout our stay. It was truly a wonderful experience!

Good location on the beach, balcony for relaxing, good food in the restaurant, friendly helpful staff. Fantastic 6 spot snorkel trip booked through the accomodation (Fass went out of his way to ensure we could get in the trip we wanted) and great jungle walk to Paya

Lokalizacja i widok z okna są super. Kontakt z obsługą bezproblemowy. Pomogli nam zabrać nasze bagaże z portu i potem odwieźli je z powrotem.

przy pokojach, wzdłuż plaży przechodzi betonowa ścieżka. Od 7 rano jeździły nią non stop skutery. Wszystko jest tak nieszczelne że masz wrażenie że skuter przejeżdża metr od twojej głowy. Na pewno nie można się wyspać jak ktoś lubi dłużej pospać. Klimatyzacja działała raczej słabo.

The hotel is located right on the beach. Service was excellent, and the views of the coast and the crystal-clear water were stunning—I highly recommend it. Breakfast was also delicious.

nothing i don’t like about the property.However, I strongly advise against taking the Blue Water Ferry from Mersing to Tioman. The cabin was boiling hot with no air conditioning at all. Even though we booked specific seats, it was a free for all 'random seating' situation. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for families with children; since the seating wasn't followed, parents and kids ended up separated. It’s incredibly poorly managed considering people book seats specifically to manage their children easily. Honestly, a very incompetent company.

L'accès au balcon, le restaurant (approvisionnement, horaires d'ouverture et service à revoir), manque de patères ou porte manteau dans la chambre et la salle de bain pour faire sécher les serviettes et autres, le bruit de la rue et des voisins. Un peu cher malgré la vue rapport qualité/prix.

L emplacement générament pas optimal, il n y a pas grand chose, 2-3 restaurants, beaucoup de bâtiment abandonné. Un frigo aurait était la bienvenue. Sur le balcon une petite table aurait était confortable. Pas de rangement disponible, juste une table sans chaise. Pas d'alcool disponible au restaurant de l'hotel.

Stayed at Dumba Bay Tioman and it was a great experience overall. The place is very calm and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The environment is clean and well-maintained, and there are fewer crowds compared to other spots, which I really liked. The beach is stunning with clear, crystal water, definitely one of the highlights. The staff were also very polite, friendly, and always ready to help. The only downside would be the breakfast. It could be improved in terms of variety and quality, especially considering the price paid. Overall, a nice and quiet place to unwind. Worth visiting.

The area itself where the houses are arranged is neatly maintained, nothing fancy, just a feel-good place. Jungle behind, bar and beach ahead, a spacy open longue in the front. Friendly staff, more variety in the breakfast offer than what I expected for this price, esp. at an island notably off the coastline. Small but cosy room in the chalet, water heater that didn't work first and got replaced right as I asked for it, air con that did the job.

A bit more surface to put lesser personal items onto could ask to the practicality. I was somewhat out of luck with the weather, be prepared if you visit the island in the monsoon season - it's called like that for a reason.

Supernettes Personal, Zimmer einfach aber sauber und mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet, das Essen hat uns auch sehr gut geschmeckt und es gab wirklich gute vegetarische Optionen. Am Ende des Orts, also auch ruhiger gelegen, direkt am schönen Strand
