De locatie was zalig, in een private baai. Het eten was lekker. Het personeel was vriendelijk.

Puur prijs kwaliteit is het aan de dure kant. Voor die prijs hadden we iets meer luxe verwacht. Je krijgt een relatief simpel huisje, al is het natuurlijk wel mooi gelegen. 'S avonds geen alcohol te verkrijgen, enkel bier. De excursies zijn erg duur. Dit zou wat meer in verhouding mogen zijn met de gangbare prijzen

The staff was adorable and eager to answer our questions. The access to the beach was great to relax just in front of the property and even for snorkeling.

Rispetto ad altre strutture analoghe visitate sull'isola il rapporto qualità/prezzo non era consono ai prezzi dell'isola. Sia le camere sia il cibo erano di buon livello ma troppo care rispetto al resto delle offerte di Tioman. Il posto, sia chiaro, è molto bello, ma non è che gli altri siano da meno. Eppure...

Heerlijk resort, rustige ligging en geen massatoerisme. Personeel loopt zich de benen uit het lijf voor de gasten en probeert zoveel mogelijk aan wensen tegemoet te komen. Eten met uitzicht over zee en als je geluk hebt een langs zwemmende rifhaai. Mooie kamers met lekkere bedden. De snorkeltours waren fantastisch. Voor het resort is nieuw koraal uitgezet in een poging het koraal te redden van de opwarming.

Voor ons was het eten iets teveel aangepast aan de westerse smaak, maar als je aangeeft dat je graag wat pittiger eten wilt wordt daar rekening mee gehouden. En de zelfgemaakte sambal was erg lekker.

In generale la struttura non è ben mantenuta, per il costo che ha dovrebbe essere molto più curata, bagni inclusi. Abbiamo avuto la sfortuna di avere uno chalet dove il rumore dell’unità dell’aria condizionata della camera vicina era fortissimo, inoltre le lenzuola erano molto sporche. abbiamo dormito in quella stanza una sola notte e poi il personale ci ha proposto un cambio ma non ha assolutamente valutato la nostra insoddisfazione. Rapporto qualità prezzo molto deludente. Ristorante caro rispetto agli altri sull’isola.

L'hôtel est isolé et on est dans un écrin de verdure. Un sentier est juste derrière l'établissement et il permet de rejoindre les 2 villages de part et d'autre en traversant la forêt au milieu des singes, des écureuils, des oiseaux et des papillons. On a donc un sentiment d'intimité et d'exclusivité dans ce contexte car l'hôtel est a taille humaine. L'ambiance est familiale et agréable. Ici pas bruit après 22h, on vient pour profiter de l'environnement, passer du temps en famille, en couple ou entre amis et pas pour y faire la fête. C'est exactement ce que nous recherchions. Le personnel était en sous-effectif lors de notre séjour mais nous n'en avons rien senti : tout le monde est au petit soin et très agréable. Nous avons également apprécié les noms des chambres (pas de numéro ici) et le système de rotation des tables attribuées pour le dîner. Ainsi, chacun peut profiter a tout de rôle de la vue sur la plage.

Le rapport qualité/ prix de l'hébergement est élevé : rien de plus que le nécessaire dans la chambre. De même pour le prix des repas (en particulier des diners) car si on ne veut pas marcher 20 à 30mn pour sortir, pas le choix de dîner sur place. Le sentiment d'être seul au monde a un prix.

Das Personal war überaus hilfsbereit und liebenswert. Die Küche ging auf unsere Wünsche ein- wir baten um veganes Frühstück. Die Lage am Strand ist wunderbar und die Lounge sowie Terrasse sind gemütlich.

Im Zimmer wäre ein Schrank oder eine Stange mit Kleiderbügeln zum Aufhängen einiger Kleidungsstücke super.

Very nice little homey resort with private beach. Absolutely lovely staff that made every effort to make your stay memorable. Lots of fun excursions available if you want to do something extra. Wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend.

Would be nice to have option to not have room cleaned so as to save time/resources. Could add a do not disturb sign for door so staff know they don't have to clean room.

Loved the eco set up and the fact it was so remote but also walkable to two nearby villages: Paya and Genting. The beach was beautiful like living in a postcard.

There was no volleyball

La balade entre l'hôtel et genting et entre l'hôtel et paya. Vous pouvez tirer à pied jusqu'au bout de la plage de paya pour faire un snorkeling sans se faire anarquer par la sortie bateau de l'hotel. Le petit déjeuner n'était pas hyper mauvais, ça allait. Nous avons vu de belles choses avec la sortir bateau.

Très mauvaix rapport qualité/prix. Nous avons payé une petite fortune pour un établissement qui ne le mérite pas du tout. Chambre sale (plusieurs mouchoirs retrouvés dans notre chambre à notre arrivé). Des déchets devant notre chambre jamais enlevés pendant 5 jours. La chambre n'a pas été faite une fois pendant notre sejour sans explication. Plusieurs déchets sur la plage, jamais enlevés pendant nos 5 jours (sachets plastiques, débris de construction, etc.). Le restaurant était globalement mauavais (certains plats imangeables, comme le fried noodle pourtant le plat le plus simple). Les prix du restaurant sont délirants pour des choses pas bonnes. Cet hôtel confond robinsonnade et vétusté (rideaux abimés, beaucoup de poussière, pas très propre (même pas un verre pour mettre les brosses à dents). Projecteur sur notre chambre pendant toute la nuit. Une lampe dans la chambre dont l'ampoule ne fonctionnait pas. La clim disfonctionne. En gros, il n'y a pas grand chose qui va dans cet endroit à part le cadre qui est bien mais assombrie par les déchets un peu partout sur la plage. La sortie bateau était bien mais le guide inexistant (il ne nous meme pas indiqué que nous étions sur un sport à requin ou à tortue). EN CONCLUSION, PASSER VOTRE CHEMIN

It is set with a backdrop of jungle on a private beach. It is good snorkeling from the beach and looking at the rock pools in the evening. The room was lovely, and a good size as was the bathroom. It is a perfect spot for relaxing. We did the snorkel trip to coral island and I thoroughly recommend it. The hotel food is nice and there is a water filter for you to fill up your bottle. The staff are all lovely and Fitri works non stop to make everyone’s stay the best it can be.

You are tied in to the hotel meal times and of uou forget anything there is nothing there - no shop with essentials/ selection of snacks It would be nice to have a clothes rail or drawers in the room.

La balancoire suspendue à un arbre au-dessus de la plage est romantique. L'eau de la plage est belle et claire. La cuisine est également très bonne

Location, easy walk to close by villages.

Room maintenance can be improved. We stayed for 5 nights and the trash bins were never emptied, and we had to ask for the towels to be replaced after 3 days even though they mentioned it will be done every other day. Some basic activity such as kayaking or paddling would be appreciated. Also should work with nearby operators to offer snorkelling, hiking etc at a reasonable price.

Amazing location with a private beach. This makes it super calm and relaxed. Room was very clean and nice. Staff was super helpful, super friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. Food is also great. Excursions like snorkeling are fairly priced, well organized and are a lot of fun.

The hotel was amazing! We had a great time thanks to the staff who were always attentive to organize our plans around the island and meals at the property. It’s quite a secluded location between Paya and Genting, with an incomparable view of the sea.

Location and the exclusivity of the beach. Quiet and uncrowded. Seawater was clean and clear. Staff gave impeccable care and attention to every guest.

Food prices and options. They were on the pricey side and short on variety. The foot/jungle paths connecting neighbouring villages such as Paya and Genting were not very easy either.

We had a wonderful nature experience staying in a village-style house surrounded by jungle and the beach, all while enjoying a comfortable stay. Before arriving, we read a few reviews mentioning mosquitoes, so we came prepared with repellents and sprays. However, we were lucky enough to find absolutely none near our room, which sits quite uphill compared to the beachfront units. ​Our absolute favorite part was the private beach. We could lie down and roll on the sand all day without any crowds or having to worry about being mindful of others.

Since there is no room service, it would be great if they could provide a small broom in the room so guests can sweep up the sand themselves. The bathroom does have an earthy smell, the tap water occasionally turns brown, and we even had a surprise visit from an earthworm on the bathroom wall once and a praying mantis got caught up in the roon. My son definitely didn't appreciate that specific part of the 'nature experience'. This place might not be suitable for you if you're looking for a 'princess' type of luxury stay. Also, the toilet seat seat cover size is a mismatch 😅

The staff are friendly, cooperative. The location is best for relaxation. Only suggestion is a facility for massage and spa The room was very good, beyond expectation. The water was so clean. Food has quite a good variety. May be can add some more veg items as per demand

i like everything, staff was very friendly and helpful feels like family. they even waiting for our arrival with refreshment juice. food was acceptable. and you can experience village food from kg genting just short walk through the jungle but please remember to bring torchlight if you are planning to go there at night, beach and view are stunning. room are spacious and you can hear sound of waves and stunning sea view just few feet from our room. Melina’s owner also such a kind and hardworking woman. She is very responsible to make sure we stay there with comfort and joy. Don’t miss to include snorkelling activities within your stay.

The highlight of the property besides the beautiful beach and stunning surrounding nature is the lovely and amazing staff, Emma, Nazmi and Rita. We were so well taken care of by them, from the moment you arrive until the very last minute. They make your entire stay feel special and so well welcoming. De ligging in een baai tussen 2 dorpen in ,maakt het resort one-of-kind. De huisjes liggen beschut onder de bomen en zijn tussen grote rotsen in gesitueerd. Prachtige tuin met veel vlinders. De snorkeltrip naar Tulay eiland is ook echt een aanrader. Mooie onderwaterwereld. Het personeel was zeer attent en dachten met je mee. Als vegetariër kon ik tahu en tempeh bestellen ook al stond het niet op de kaart. Ook de versgemaakte sappen waren in alle varianten mogelijk.

Niets, we waren aangenaam verrast door de gastvrijheid.

We arrived in the morning and have been greeted and warm welcome by Emma and Nazmi..felt like home and all the staff were friendly..the location are between Kg Genting and Kg Paya..strategic location..my package are included breakfast..they serve light menu for breakfast..enough for fuel the morning day..those who breakfast like a king should order out what they served..my room located in front of beach..but I saw the others room they have mosquito net but mine aren't have..overall I can say one of recommended place to stay..they are improving their facilities now and I believe they will be more better..I wish success to them.. kudos to the staff 👏 🙌..hope to see u again soon!

Isolated Island resort. However the staff were so attentive and helpful. They would do over and above to make us happy and comfortable. You must expect that not everything can be perfect due to location. Isolated Island away from Mainland. Food was lovley and authentic Malay.

More maintenance around the resort. In saying that they had just reopened after a heavy wet season.

Een plek weg van mensen en geluid. Ik heb nog nooit op een strand gelegen, waarbij ik alleen het geluid van de golven hoorde. Het was geweldig om in deze rust op zo'n prachtige plek te verblijven. Het personeel was ook ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. En heerlijk eten!

Pulau Tioman é um destino premium em termo de imersão na antureza, contudo os resorts localizados nas localidades são massificados, desqualificados e sem grande valor acrescentado especial. Lixo, descuido, pouca limpeza das praias, alforrecas, escassa vida animal, coral morto. Aqui temos uma pequena enseada, praia privativa linda, com areia branca limpa todos os dias, um par de árvores lindas majestuosas que dão sombra preciosa onde faz falta, rochedos lindos a ambos lados da praia dado um cenário excpvional à praia, extenso areal para banhos em alta mar e uma vida animal abundante em preia-mar. Na linha de costa mais longe mas perfeitamente acessível a nado e segura, toda esta baá é envolvida por uma pequena barreira de coral em bastante bom estado com muita diversidade de fauna e flora. O hotel está bem cuidado, as habitações são espaçosas e as vistas ao mar excelentes. Os espaços comuns são amplos, existe comida e café 24horas por dia, espeço para todos os hóspedes, bom mobiliário e uma comunidade de funcionários que recebem como se da sua própria casa se tratasse. Sempre disponíveis a a atender, seja por cozinha, limpeza, manutenção, apoio, apoio com crianças, ou via marítima para acesso a ferrys, dias de snorkell, etc. PS - Boas refeições e pequeno almoço bem servido e com muita qualidade e variedade Adorámos a nossa estadia de 5 dias neste local ainda para mais comparando com os outros 2 locais onde haviamos ficado na ilha. Aqui ficámos sem duvida melhor servidos!

Piękne miejsce. Spokój, brak ludzi, na plaży tylko kilka osób, które tu nocują. Rafa na wyciągnięcie ręki (lub lepsza - 30 min drogi). Bardzo dobra obsługa, fajna restauracja na miejscu (smacznie!). Naprawdę dobre miejsce na odcięcie się.

Stosunkowo drogie usługi typu transfer wodnym taxi (ale można przejść pieszo do miejscowości obok), czy zorganizowany snorkeling.

Wir wurden hier mit einem "Welcome to Paradise!" begüßt. Das hat gestimmt.

Meckern auf höchstem Niveau: das Essen im Restaurant ist relativ unspektakulär und dafür etwas teuer.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit an diesem ruhigen und entspannten Ort. Die Lage des Resorts ist traumhaft, und das Essen war durchweg lecker. Die Preise im Restaurant liegen zwar etwas über denen der lokalen Restaurants in den Nachbardörfern, dafür war jedes Gericht wirklich lecker. Wasser, Kaffee und Tee stehen jederzeit frei zur Verfügung. Die Bungalows sid schön eingerichtwt, die Betten sehr gemütlich. Lydia und ihr Team sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Direkt vor dem Resort oder ein Stück weiter Richtung Paya kann man sehr gut schnorcheln. Auch die Schnorchelausflüge, die man von Tioman aus unternehmen kann, sind absolut empfehlenswert.

Die eine oder andere Kleinigkeit in den Bungalows könnte besser instand gehalten werden – eine klemmende Tür wurde jedoch nach unserem Hinweis sofort geölt. Am Strand vor unserem Bungalow lag zu Beginn etwas Müll, den wir gleich am ersten Tag eingesammelt haben, damit er uns nicht weiter störte. Außerdem wird beim Reinigen des Strandes das Laub direkt vor den Bungalows aufgetürmt – hier wäre vielleicht eine etwas harmonischere Lösung wünschenswert.

Essere separati dagli altri resort rende tutto molto più bello e wild. Il personale é gentilissimo e sempre disponibile, sembra una struttura familiare. Immerso nella natura con anche diversi animali. Posto tranquillo e belle escursioni

Alcuni spazi sono lasciati andare e c’è spazzatura tutto intorno alla struttura. É un enorme peccato perché il posto é bellissimo. La stanza molto semplice, non ha armadio e il bagno si allaga un po’ quando fai la doccia. Gli asciugamani era un po’ macchiati. Forse un po’ costoso perché risulta essere un po’ “spartano”

The two redeeming factors were the service of the staff (especially f&b) which was always friendly and kind and the food which was very good. One of our family group is a vegetarian and the chef prepared dishes not in the menu (tofu curry, fried tempeh) to accommodate his needs, this was much appreciated. The location is secluded and quiet, with lots of trees for privacy.

Unfortunately, the chalet floor was dirty at check-in, the bathroom not nice and the bunk bed for our children had joints that were not properly attached so bed was very shaky. We were worried the entire stay (4 nights) that the top bed would fall onto the lower bed and hence, child. We informed the manager abt the bunk bed safety and cleanliness issue on the second day, and were told it would be resolved however the issue persisted during our stay. We also realized that chalets even in same/lower price categories had very different standards - our bathroom was horrible but the unit right next to ours had a newly done bathroom. Our bunkbed was wobbly, but other units had stable beds. Our AC didnt work well, but units occupied by other members of our group were fine. There was hardly any surface space to put things in our room for 4 pax, but not the case in other units (we saw 4 other units in the complex due to the group we were travelling with). 2 pax in our group were looking forward to the spa options, but were told on arrival that there is actually no spa but it is at another resort 30 min walk away, something not mentioned on the website at time of booking. Sadly, the house reef is also in poor condition. At CHF 200 per night, one does have some expectations and our chalet certainly did not fit this - the chalet standards and safety concerns failed to justify the price. When we asked to move to another chalet in same category, we were told to pay an additional amount. There were so many issues that we finally requested a cancellation of the remainder of our booking (originally planned for 9 nights) from booking.com and thankfully moved to another accommodation which saved our holiday.

This resort is secluded and has its own charm. It becomes a cozy comfortable home away from everything else. It is mainly connected from the sea - guests check in and out from the sea! The common area is wonderful and gives a community feeling all through the day where you get to see all other guests in close proximity. Most common facilities are there - restaurant, bar, free coffee and tea facilities (24 hrs.), toilets, deck, access to the beach, sea sports desk and the reception. Everything's there. Besides the common area are only rooms not more than 50 meters away. So, overall the close world charm of this resort cut off from the rest of the world gave us a unique experience. Then the Tioman sea water - turquoise green and clear, beach calm and the water inviting. Sun beds and a swing on the beach which is covered by this huge tree which gives it ample shade. A volley ball court. The staff are very friendly and courteous. They add to the charm of the resort. They are always around, always smiling and always ready to serve. When you arrive at the hotel in the resort's boat (they pick you up from the nearest jetty which is Genting), the staff is there to welcome you at the beach. When you check out, they are waving you goodbye till you can no longer see them! This enables you to have a special bonding with the staff there even if you stay for just 2 nights. They offer sea sports activities like kayaking, island hopping, snorkeling, etc. which we did not avail. We drove down from KL. Takes 5 hours to reach Tanjung Gemok jetty. Then we wait for 1 hour at the jetty to take the ferry takes 2 hours to reach Tioman. At Tioman there are various stops and you have to get down at Genting jetty, where you board yet another boat provided by the resort to finally reach the resort. Total time - approximately 8.5 hours! Same thing while going back. But, Tioman Island is worth it because of the quality of the beaches and the lovely sea water. It is quite heavenly.

We were in room named Macaque. It had a queen bed and 2 bunk beds, good enough for our family of 4. But this room doesn't face the sea! We noticed there are other rooms which face the sea and can have a lovely view. So, please ensure that you check with the hotel if you want a sea facing room. The bathroom heater was not very efficient, so hot water wasn't adequate. No handwash provided at the basin. There were no chairs provided on the balcony. The housekeeping was very basic. They just clean the bathroom and mop the room. We saw soiled glasses were not cleared. Towels were left as it is. Beds were not cleaned - we were hoping that the little bit of sand which comes along on the bed would be brushed off by them. Food available at the restaurant is very average. Right from the breakfast, the choice is so limited. Breakfast looks the same everyday. Looking at the menu you just wonder what to have for the next meal. Since the price of food is costly and limited choice, one would have hoped that it would be tasty. So, the weak point of this resort = food. WiFi only available at common area. In the room, cellular signal and the WiFi signal is weak. So, very scratchy internet available in the room. For one of the lunches, we walked through the back lane (through the hills and forests) to Genting village and had a meal at a place called Mamma's Food House - a must try. Very nice food. It is a 25 minutes walk from the resort to this lovely small restaurant.

La playa, cuando bajaba la marea el baño era complicado, había muchos corales muertos y poca profundidad

La situation de l’hôtel en pleine nature et sur une très jolie plage de sable privative. La gentillesse du personnel.

Notre chambre était située dans un chalet composé de 2 chambres et cette mitoyenneté occasionne des nuisances sonores de voisinage importantes. Nous avions l’impression que nos voisins étaient installés dans notre chambre. L’organisation trop stricte de la restauration avec notamment la pré commande de son repas du soir, choix des plats et horaires. Le manque de transats sur la plage. Les prix plutôt élevé des extras.

Emplacement merveilleux, très au calme, personnel aux petits soins.

Very nice, quiet, peaceful resort, with a lovely helpful staff. Nice private beach with some big trees given a lot of shadow. During our 6 nights we went to Genting for dinner once. The menu in the resort is divers enough and the resort offers good quality of food, so there was no real desire to go somewhere else. They also arranged a private boot trip for us (8 persons), which was a combination of the trip around the island and a snorkel tour. It was a great experience! Compared to accommodations in the cities it is rather expensive, but keep in mind it is on a remote location on an island. Based on what we have seen in Genting and Paya, this was absolutely the best spot and worth the money. Do note this is not a 5-star resort, so not everything will be like you have it at home. There is only filter coffee, don’t expect fancy cappuccinos or espresso’s. The showers function fine, but will not give the amount of water you might get at home. Overall it is not a luxury resort, but absolutely a comfortable resort with a staff which does everything to make you feel at home. Communication with the resort was excellent, they gave clear instructions about which jetty to get off, and when we arrived in Genting their boat was already waiting for us. At the resort the rooms were not ready yet (we arrived at 10am, so that was already expected based on earlier communication), but within an hour our rooms were ready. They do everything possible to make it comfortable for the guests. Also the atmosphere in the team working there is great, having a laugh with the guests but also having fun together.

The beds were pretty hard, especially the bunk beds were not comfortable. Also some of these spoiled European guests can bring a negative atmosphere when they start complaining… like Hendrick who gave a 1,0 because he couldn’t get a cappuccino… It also looks like some people come to the resort straight after a long journey coming directly from Europe and being exhausted and grumpy by the time they arrive at the resort. Just one recommendation: don’t do that. Although it was very entertaining for us to watch and observe, nobody really enjoys it, you don’t, other guests don’t and the staff doesn’t… so travel in a relaxed way, with more stops in between and everybody will enjoy it much more.

The location of Melina Beach is wonderful. The resort staff is very friendly and the organize various daily snorkeling trips. The breakfast buffet is decent with varying fresh fruit. The apartments and cottages differ in in size and location.

The internet connection is unreliable. They should install Starlink.
