The room was massive and tidy. Iv stayed in a lot of hotels and this has a slot of space great for long stays.has a kitchen if u don’t don’t to go out pakn save is right across the road.
Nothing major just the soap in the shower wasn’t working properly but not a major issue as I always take my own toiletries
Location was great as close to shopping complex. Near to take out (food).
Got only 1 milk (500mls)on arrival and that was it. No sharp knife to cut up fruits.
Location
Quite comfortable close to everything clean
Everything was fantastic
I didnt like that the bathroom has NO VENT/ EXTRACTOR FAN
The motel unit was impressively spacious, with a generously sized bathroom. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Its location was excellent—just a short stroll from everything you could need, including a supermarket, café, bar, and restaurant.
Clean, all facilities well maintained, comfy bed & much bigger than we expected and a phone to contact reception if we needed anything. Pak n Save across the road which was handy and parking available underneath the motel..
We weren’t impressed that the accom was a remote from another motel where we had to go to first to book in & pay before going to Zeta motel. This was not mentioned on Booking.com until after we confirmed the booking. At the accom we were on the 2nd floor and with no lift, we had to lug our bags up the stairs & out onto the outdoor corridor leading to our room. This was not good for people like me who are scared of heights.
Loved how central it was and how close supermarket and restaurants were too, so location was ideal
that the gym was not yet ready, hopefully it will be for next time
Close to pak n save and got what we paid for. Clean and nice!
No elevator so have to carry bags up stairs which is not so convenient for some.
Property was clean, up to standard and very comfortable.
The fact that you had to go to another property to pick up your keycard for your room. It is really inconvenient.
Spacious
Different location to pick up the key. When I arrived to the room it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous guest. They did come and give me another key for another room which was good. Swipe key for the lights was broken the lights would switch on and off.
Large room
Parking was isolated and felt unsafe
Room 501 door needs fixed
Clean and presentable room
If I knew the location was right opposite bright yellow and serous flood lighting. Paper thin walls to hear a late night neighbour talk to her boyfriend. Horrible night and room not dark enough
Recently refurbished.
Remote check-in required at another motel. Lots of light leakage around blinds (not great when there's a petrol station right next door). Poor sound proofing from neighbouring room and exterior street noise.TV not able to function correctly for off-air programmes. Main door needs adjustmenmt as didn't shut without committed pull or push (it's hyraulically self-closing but this alone doesn't secure the door lock!)
Location is brilliant walking distance to the stadium and the room is large
The shower floor is a bit slippery and the bottom of the shower door is green
Very clean prime location
Nil
The room was nice and big. The bed was comfy.
Unfortunately the rooms were not sound proof and someone in the room next to us coughed all night and we got woken from slamming doors all hours of the night and morning. The shower leaked which bathroom flooded, due to the flooring of the shower. Terrible. Didnt have enough towels to soak up the water plus use to dry ourselves. Room 205 needs work!
Rooms are huge, beds are super comfortable, facilities are awesome, modern and clean. Location is wonderful, close to city bars, supermarket, and Waikato stadium. Good parking under the building with high clearance for taller vehicles. Upon arrival this place shaped up as perfect for us….but I won’t stay again.
We had room 8. Never again! The walls are paper thin and all night we heard people coming and going through the noisy main door, stomping up the wooden staircase, heard everything the people next door were saying…and doing!!!! In the end I went to BP (next door) and bought earplugs but not even those prevented me being woken by the noise of the neighbours romantic moments! Other than a very terrible sleep due to noise from other rooms, it is an awesome place. If I had to stay again I’d stipulate room 11-16, but one with no internal adjoining door to the next apartment because that door did not help the noise.
Location. Cleanliness. Beds are not soggy. Staff are great.
Toilet amenities are lacking. Good thing we brought some on our own.
Rooms are very spacious.
One key card. When one of us would be upstairs we'd need to come downstairs to let the other inside
Location was good.
No milk, no tissues, towels were thin and old, TV channels terrible to navigate with no TV1. Very fustrating
I liked the size of the unit, the fact that it had an oven, a hob and a fridge - and that all of those were clean. It had good parking and easy card access. My unit was cleaned and cleared every day and my bed was changed during the week. The supermarket was across the road and a petrol station next door.
I had to go to a different motel to get the key which I was okay with. Customer service with a smile and friendly greeting after a 4.5 hour drive would have been appreciated. Upon arrival there were hairs in the bathroom sink - I didn't like that! I took food to cook with me but quickly discovered that yes, there were knives and forks and pots and a pan but there were no actual cooking utensils. I had to go to Briscoes to buy a peeler, tongs, a sharp knife and a small dish for the oven. Odd.
Lovely spacious room and spacious bathroom. The biggest bed ever. Newish building so it was modern and clean with a full kitchen containing everything I needed there. Spacious underground parking which was within the building (downstairs) from the accommodation and with key card access so felt reasonably safe for a woman travelling alone like myself. I regularly overnight in Hamilton and this is by far one of the nicest properties on offer in the city.
Couldn't get the heating working so an extra blanket would have been good. There was a towel rail in the bathroom which looked to be heated but I could not see how to switch on. Could not get the TV working with either of the two remote controls provided but I really didn't need that for one night as I was out in the evening, however an instruction manual would have been beneficial. NOTE: these things did not effect my overall view of my stay at property though.
The location is great, parking is fantastic. I have stayed here before and it will always be my first choice for work for Hamilton.
The check in process is a pain - having to check in at another motel then drive back here, although its only a few minutes away. Would be really handy to have a couch. The room is massive so plenty of room for one. Seating options are still good though with barstools and a small dining table.
Very disappointed with this motel. Bed was fine, but other than that everything else was poorly cleaned. Surfaces were sticky and hadn’t been wiped or cleaned, mould in the grout of the floor tiles, mold all around the bottom of the shower tracks, black mould in the grout of the shower tiles, strands of hair in the bathroom sink, soap scum in the vanity and broken pieces of glass under the vanity - it felt as it hasn’t had a good proper clean in months and didn’t smell the best either. The bed was fine, but that was the only positive. When I spoke with front desk on checking out, they were apologetic and promised to follow it up on the first working day and I haven’t heard anything. Therefore, I believe it was not worth $165 for one person for one night when it’s that dirty which made me feel uncomfortable.
Weirldy large room (which was nice), very clean overall, comfortable beds, easy parking.
There were no on-site staff (the staff we dealt with at another hotel to check in were very nice and gave us a bottle of complimentary milk). Some of the valances were sagging, and the lightswitch had some stripped/broken screws. We feel like the mini split wasn't super effective at cooling.
for some reason the bit above isn't letting me select options... The staff and facilities were great and there was lots of space in the room which we particularly liked
Large room. Very clean and tidy, great location
Good value for money stay while in Hamilton for work. Friendly staff, clean and tidy. Recommend for a short stay
Ok the room was large but empty. It was clean.
The fact it was a remote location was not disclosed during the booking process. The staff member at pick up was unhelpful. The location was average. Sure there was a flat screen TV but the only thing available to watch was U-tube. There was no free to air TV.
The space how tidy it was
Could’ve had some more windows and light
Spacious room. Convenient location. Comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchenette.
Would have been useful to know before booking that check in was at a different location as I didn’t have a car and would have taken this into consideration.
Big room & clean
Nothing really
The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable.
Nothing. We enjoyed our stay and will return.
Room was really spacious, so roomy you could put a dining room table and chairs to fill up the space. We enjoyed the stay very quiet and close to everything.
Only thing missing was there was nowhere to hang up clothing in the wardrobe it only had an ironing board/iron but no bar to hang clothes on
The room was huge, lots of space Bed was very comfortable Kitchen with all comfort, we did‘t use it
We did‘t have any dining table The room was very big, but without seating, day time had to sit on the bed.
Having to go to a different locale to get the key. Very noisy for conditioning and no TV service
Great location. Nice big space very comfortable stay. Nice and quiet
Pillows were to big. Personal preference. No sharp knife.
bed
few missed cleaning spots
Large room, great bathroom.
It had an odd smell like it hadn't been aired for a while. And had cleaners knocking on my door at 8am (checkout is 10am) to ask if I was checking out that day.
Close to amenities eg supermarket.
Nothing
A large room and bathroom. Clean. Comfortable bed. Good size and equipped kitchen. Secure parking. Supermarket across the street.
Reception is in a separate motel 350m away.. Location was ideal for our attendance at a rugby match in the stadium but not very close to town centre.
Location was very central
Very spacious, clean and comfortable.
Excellent sized room.Great value for what we paid.Great location.
Shower floods
Great Cafe across the road
Clean, tidy & welcoming. Ample parking, and comfy bed & pillows.
N/A
Easy to book, got what I asked for, easy to collect key.
The weather
Very happy with location, parking & room.
Pillows extremely hard & unable to use them.
Good comfy bed and plenty of space. Parking was also easy to access.
The walls of my room were paper thin, so I could hear people snoring next door (very loud all night). There was also a door that connected to the next room (the snorers) which is was weird (it was locked so that was ok I guess). I was also placed in a room with a disable-friendly bathroom which was fine, except the floor was slippery, and the provided chair that folds up wouldn’t stay up, so this made th shower have even less space to stand.
Great and safe parking . Big rooms and very tidy .
Booking in at the other motel
Very friendly staff member at the check in location, very big room with good shower and kitchen. Had almost all I needed. Easy undercover parking. Milk was provided. A nice set of pots and a pan, cutting board, and mixing bowl provided.
No cooking utensils at all; a sharp knife, bread knife, and a spatula would have been great. Info about the check in location being different than the hotel was hard to find or not available until after I made the booking; would have liked to know ahead of time. In my room (507), the fridge was very noisy and clattered through the night. No power point by the desk for keeping a laptop charged while working. Room service replaced towels/flannels/rubbish daily which was nice, but for environmental reasons I'd have liked to opt out of- do not disturb signs would be appreciated.
Very spacious
Dishwasher didn’t work. Rubbish bin hadn’t been emptied. The waiting around at check out to get my bond back while their staff went and checked my room, as Zeta is an unmanned facility. No ash trays for smokers in outdoor area Reception phone person was very rude because I wanted to check out at 8.55am and there was no staff on key drop off site.
