Hotel Royal Luzern

The breakfast was very good. The location was good for access to the centre. We used the local bus service. The staff were excellent. Our chamber maid went above and beyond and managed to put a much needed fridge in my room. The receptionist Elena a lovely Russian lady was amazing. She was so kind and helpful.

Some of the cooked breakfast items were not as warm as they could be but that seems to be the case with most buffet breakfasts in hotels. The steep stairs to the back of the hotel was a problem for one of our party.

The hot breakfast was reasonable priced and had many selections to choose from. The elevated location was in close proximity to Lake Lucern with amazing views!

The pancakes and waffles at breakfast could have been hotter...served luke warm at best.

Personale gentilissimo e molto accogliente. Ottima la veranda per leggere un libro o scambiare qualche parola con altri ospiti mentre si ammira la vista.

Beautiful property, neatly maintained, great breakfast, good staff ! We had a lake view room and that was really good. Weather was good so we had no issues.. but did see reviews where guests complaining room heating up when weather is hot. Overall we had a great stay !

It was clean and easy to get to from train station by taxi or uber. Do NOT walk from train station to hotel. Very steep and lots of steps. Your ride will drop you off at main entrance. Get a balcony facing the mountain and water. Amazing

Our room had a portable air controlling unit and was warm. However we opened the doors and able to see the beautiful mountain and lake.

Property was affordable but also had a luxury feel to it. It was close to everything I needed. The day and evening receptionists were very helpful and answered all my questions. 10/10 would recommend.

Wunderschönes Ambiente, sehr herzliches und hilfsbereites Personal, tolles Zimmer und Bad, bequemes Bett, sogar eine Nespresso-Maschine im Zimmer, gute Verdunkelungsmöglichkeit, sehr ruhig. Frühstück wunderbar!

Die Lage ist etwas am Hügel. Wenn man mit ÖV anreist, muss der Koffer bergauf geschleppt werden, mein Navi hat mich über eine ellenlange steile Treppe geführt.

Bit of a climb up hill, but only have to do one time. Car noise during rush hour.

L' endroit avec vue magnifique et tres prés du lac et du centre ville facilement accessible à pied pour qui peut marcher. Tout près du parking du Casino où on peut laisser la voiture qq jours. Ambiance fin 19ème victorienne. Sensation de comfort désuet et charmant pour ceux qui aiment !

Aucune personne dans le personnel parlant le français , notamment à la réception ce qui est très désagréable pour avoir des echanges clairs notamment sur les factures. Pas de restaurant. Très dommage car il serait agréable de pouvoir avoir un petit repas tout simple sur place.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage und einen schönen Blick auf den See. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und man kann gerne abends noch an der Bar etwas trinken. Hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit und die Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals. Das ist außergewöhnlich, mehr als das. 😊

Super Lage mit toller Aussicht, ansonsten gibt es nicht viel mehr Positives zu sagen.

Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmte nicht. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Ausstattung rechtfertigt den auch für Schweizer Verhältnisse hohen Preis nicht: das Doppelbett sind zwei aneinandergeschobene Einzelbetten, es gibt weder Minibar noch Safe im Zimmer und für jede Zusatzdienstleistung fallen Zusatzkosten an (35 Franken für einen Aussenparkplatz?!).

Nice hotel, great staff, lots of history and beautiful decor. Lovely drinks in the evening on the hotel porch.

No proper airconditioning, just a small portable A/C, that didn't seem to be up to the task of cooling our room. It was hotter in the room than the hallway, whilst we had the A/C on all day.

OMG! We were lucky enough to spend a few nights at Hotel Royal Luzern - the view of the lake 10/10, the rooms were very clean and the motel had such beautiful charm. The motel is a little far from the city centre, but still walking distance, there is a bus stop 5mins up the road and the free public transport was great. Breakfast was also great!

Walking back up the hill from the bus stop 😂 it was also super hot when we stayed, they had a mini portable AC which struggled to work. Although was nice to at least have that

This is the second time we have stayed here and once again everything was absolutely perfect. The staff are super friendly and cannot do enough for you. The rooms are spotless, we also loved the coffee machine! The view is stunning from the rooms and bar area, it was nice to sit with a drink after a hike. If we are in Luzern again we will be back.

The location and views of Lake Lucerne is enchanting ! Luxurious property. Extremely comfortable bed and linen. The staff is very helpful and enthusiastic . I will return

Prima hotel net buiten het centrum van Luzern. Wel een steile helling om er te komen dus je moet niet slecht ter been zijn. Wij hadden een kamer met uitzicht op het meer maar zaten op de 1e verdieping en keken vooral tegen de daken van andere hotels aan. Fijn dat er koffie en thee was op de kamer.

De kamer was echt heel klein en de badkamer ook. Voor 300 euro per nacht verwacht je meer comfort.

Hotel con grandes vistas y alejado de la masificación. Cerca del lago donde te puedes bañar y hay un bonito paseo. En bus en 5 min estás al centro. Desayuno muy bueno.

Hay una pequeña subida que tienes que hacerla cada vez que vas al centro y al hotel. Es raro que estos suizos no hayan puesto una escalera mecánica para subir arriba.

Wir hatten zwei Balkone … bei der Hitze konnten wir uns dadurch Luftzug machen. Beim Frühstück gab es eine Nespresso Kaffeemaschine.

La camera è arredata con gusto e in un bel l’edificio con un certo charme d’epoca. C’è stato un problema con la serratura e nell’attesa la receptionist ci ha offerto un drink di benvenuto. Bello il balconcino della camera con vista lago da cui sorseggiare un caffè o una tisana.

L’Altstadt è raggiungibile a piedi, ma con una camminata di oltre venti minuti, l’albergo non è propriamente vicino al centro quindi. In una a struttura a quattro stelle e per il costo pagato, mi aspetto il condizionatore in camera e non semplici ventilatori. Ci è stato consigliato di parcheggiare al Casinò garage, ma abbiamo finito per spendere di più del costo di 35 CHF del parcheggio dell’hotel e comunque avremmo potuto usufruire gratuitamente del parcheggio in strada, considerando gli orari.

The hotel is lovey. Our room had a balcony with lovely views of the lake and the mountains.

It was further from the Old Town than I had expected and required climbing a steep hill. It was a fair distance from bars and restaurants.

Die Lage ist super. Nach kurzem Fußweg, ist man bereits in der Altstadt. Der Herr an der Rezeption, war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Es gab keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer, weshalb die Nacht, nach einem sehr heißen Tag, sehr unangenehm war.

位置很好，就在文华东方背后，属于二线湖景。我住的楼层不高，看到一些房顶，但这个价格能有这个风景，性价比还是很高。在湖景中醒来，太美好了。

google map导航的路线是一个大长楼梯，其实有一个比较绕行的斜坡。带行李上去十分累。而且酒店入口也是楼梯，没有“无障碍路线”，拉大行李箱的慎重考虑。厕所有点小，也没有空调，下过雨开着门倒也不热。供参考。不过看到如此风景，累一点也值得。

We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! Salih, the Front Office Manager, was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. He made us feel truly at home and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We absolutely loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Ki Assistent als Ersatz an der Rezeption. Schlecht programmiert. Parkplatz war reserviert aber nicht direkt disponibel. Keine Klimaanlage trotz grosser Hitze.

A beautiful old hotel with fabulous views from our balcony. The bed was comfortable, the water from the shower was hot and the room was clean.

Room was exceptionally hot due to lack of air conditioning, although this to be expected from a historic building and Lucerne was 35° outside.

Die Kissen in den Zimmer waren so schlecht , das man nicht schlafen konnte Am falschen Ort gespart . Für mich ein Grund nicht mehr zu gehen .. Weil für den Preis pro Nacht möchte man auch schlafen können. Wäre schön wenn sich das ändert .

L'hôtel dans sa globalité est très bien et a beaucoup de charme. La situation est très bonne. Tout peut se faire à pieds facilement. Attention cependant pour les personnes qui ont du mal à marcher, les derniers mètres pour rejoindre l'hôtel sont pentus. On a vraiment apprécié le balcon, avec la vue sur le lac, même si la proximité avec le balcon d'à côté peut être gênante, ça vaut le coup.

L'absence de conseil personnalisé à la réception pour un hôtel de cette catégorie pour des excursions ou des visites aux alentours. Le seul conseil étant: "vous pouvez regarder sur Google"...on y avait pensé... La proximité des balcons et le peu d'insonorisation si la chambre d'à côté ou du dessus (?) est occupée par un couple...
