Location

The bathroom had the most vile of odors coming from the drains, and no working exhaust fan. Woke up feeling really sick.

Convenient location

The amount of noise, the inescapable musty smell in the room, and the lack of housekeeping or management response to my messages.

Easy to find and check in and a great location!

Very basic room and amenities, no present staff.

Very central, modern and clean.

Shower head was too low and wouldn’t stay up higher. Room was too warm and air conditioner didn’t work.

Horrible sewage smell from the bathroom, incredibly humid in the room, our clothes smelt terrible and were wet from one night.

Very poor cleaning, high humidity in the bathroom, fungus on the window, lots of old dust on the decorative bed frame, standing fan and bathroom ventilation. All sorts of hair on the floor. The room assigned was not the room we booked. We were assigned with the one that overlooks the mini yard at the back of the house where the garbage from the restaurant next to the premises is disposed of, and the room type did not match the booked room.

Fantastic. Great location for exploring Galway. AMAZINGLY comfy beds. Super quiet (despite us preparing ourselves for potential noise!). Super quick check in process. Very impressed.

There was a small issue with the shower in the room, it was hard to adjust the temperature and only boiling water came out of the shower head. The shower wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, as we found a large lump of hair. Everything else was great 😊.

No contestan a los mensajes, mando de la TV sin pilas, no avisan que la habitación está en un bajo pegado a la calle con poca seguridad. Ojo con las habitaciones Ground flour, no están con el resto y no son precisamente baratas. Pero lo peor es que el sitio es desatendido. 100% dígital y cuando tienes dudas o quejas, te contesta una IA. Un desastre de atención al cliente. Viajamos por toda Irlanda, el peor alojamiento con diferencia.

Checking in was so easy and and simple.

Location is good. Easy in and out without problems. Small room. Very. But comfortable and nice.

Noise from sanitation and recycling trucks at 4am. Could have bed. A few feet larger in the room.

TV didn’t work - messaged the people but no response

Non hanno rifatto le camere. La finestra della camera era rotta e non si poteva aprire per cambiare l’aria. I cuscini erano duri. Molto rumore, in camera sono pure presenti i tappi per le orecchie. Sconsigliato

Tolle Lage, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und sehr sauber.

Die Lüftung hat das Badezimmer nicht abtrocknen können, demnach hat es dort auch sehr modrig gerochen

The Abbygate was a nice and clean townhouse that was located within walking distance to downtown Galway pubs and restuarants and shops.

The parking across the street was confusing. You need to provide more information on the parking, like the app to download in advance and the hours the parking is free and the hours you have to pay to park.

The location was great - within walking distance of everything in the city. The room was a good size and clean, modern. There was a fan in the room which was great. check in is quick and easy and there is a lift.

There was a smell of smoke in the area when you come in to collect your keys , but i presume it was because someone was smoking at the front door with it open maybe. but that wasn't very nice but not really their fault as there is nobody there at a reception desk - you collect your keys from a machine ( that doesnt bother me but some people might like an actual receptionist to ask questions etc) i dont think it is necessary though!

Zimmergröße war absolut ausreichend. Zimmer selbst gut ausgestattet. Lediglich der Straßenlärm war sehr störend, aber das wussten wir vorher schon. Beim Personal möchte ich noch besonders hervorheben, dass alle sehr bemüht waren und die Kommunikation hervorragend per WhatsApp geklappt hat. Wir konnten auch problemlos unser Gepäck schon vor dem CheckIn abgeben. Man muss halt einfach vorab Kontakt aufnehmen und das klären da sonst niemand vor Ort ist

Bed was a bit uncomfortable, try to get a room not on ground level if possible.

L'appartamento è situato in zona molto centrale della città con un comodissimo parcheggio a pagamento dall'altra parte della strada. La camera è spaziosa, il letto comodo ed è dotata di tutti i servizi descritti.

The property is well located in the centre of Galway, with convenient and well-priced public parking across the road. The check-in process is easy and quick. There is an elevator which is a bonus. The room was as advertised and had everything we needed. The bathroom was a decent size and well equipped.

The room was stuffy, even when using the fan provided and opening the window. The bed was pretty small and uncomfortable, the sheets did not feel very comfortable. There were a few marks on the linen/blanket. While the bathroom was a good size, after a while there was a damp smell as there was no fan or window inside the bathroom for ventilation. The snug room was indeed snug.

Close to everything( the ferry, the town, Eyre square, restaurants, shops, and the Harbour/ bay. Nice walking trail. And the hotel provided fans.

Matratzen waren viel zu weich und das Bett zu schmal. Der Ventilator hat den Geist aufgegeben und das Fenster ließ sich nicht weit genug öffnen. Im Bad lag noch eine Haarspange von vorherigen Gästen am Boden.

Location was good When couldn't log into WiFi was able to contact someone via Whatsapp to solve problem

Creepy vibe, did not feel secure. Also, the water temperature in the shower was scalding and difficult to adjust. While there was an air conditioner it did not fit the window and the window had to be kept open.

Amazing place to stay overnight, near center of the town, the bed were amazing, staff during the automatic check in was super 👍🏻

I liked the easy check-in but it was difficult to get more than one key. This made it hard when my husband or son wanted to do something different than I did and we would always have to meet up to get back to the room. There needs to be a way to get more than one key for the rooms.

Our bathroom was filthy. It was obviously mopped in the center but the edges along the walls were disgusting and there was mold in the shower and along the base of the shower. Nobody likes a dirty bathroom.

Non vale assolutamente il prezzo. Non c'è personale, né reception né alcun tipo di servizio, nulla che giustifichi quesge cifre. Tra l'altro le camere sono rumorosissime, si sente tutto quello che succede in ogni camera che sta sul piano, non solo in quelle adiacenti. Bisogna sperare in vicini silenziosi, ma a Galway è un'utopia. Per non parlare poi della sicurezza: alle 2 del mattino sono stata svegliata da dei ragazzi ubriachi che andavano in giro a bussare alle porte. Ho comunicato con la struttura tramite WhatsApp e mi hanno detto che avrebbero aumentato la sicurezza ma non ho visto niente e nessuno in giro. Sconsigliatissimo.

Great location

A little quirk when trying to check-in at the Kiosk at 3. Had to call property manager and he forgot to "release" rooms for that day. Another group had the same issue at 3 pm. After a 15 minute delay, we were finally able to get our key for the room.

Very comfortable, clean and good location. It had all the essentials you need. Self Check in and out was very straight forward.

It was a bit noisy even though earplugs were provided. The room itself was very warm although they did provide a really good fan. I felt it was also a bit expensive when there is no reception or anything provided.

The property was clean and generally comfortable though missing some basic amenities like counter space and hooks for convenience in the bathroom. The location was fantastic and close to lots of different restaurants and easily walkable from the town center.

The TV was not working and when I called about it and left a message, someone called me back and said they would call me again and 5 to 10 minutes, but I never heard back. messaged on WhatsApp and called again to leave a second voicemail and still didn’t hear back. That was disappointing.

The technology to check-in (no personnel at a reception) and the prep e-mail before arrival all work well. The room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast could be grabbed in the neighbouring café at a discount, which was lovely.

The hallway was a bit noisy. You could hear doors being closed clearly and people talking in the neighbouring rooms, however at night it didn't seem to be an issue in my case. Maybe the complimentary earplugs were a hint of the known potential issue. There would be room for a small desk. As this was for business, I would have appreciated to work at a small desk as well.

Excellent location. Very easy check in procedure. Room finished to a high standard. Lovely shower. Comfortable bed.

We stayed on ground floor and hallway was very noisy in the morning with banging from people accessing a door outside our room. There were glasses in the room but no water which was a little strange.

Jeden fotel, na dwie osoby, dlaczego? Brak stolika do wypicia kawy. Jesteśmy trzeci raz. I zawsze nie ma jak wypić kawy. Nie macie stolika i drugiego fotela dla dwóch osób? Jest nam przykro! W innych hotelach nie ma problemu, a bylismy w kilku w tym mieście. Piszemy, a Wy i tak nie zrobicie.

Needs better amenities- there wasn’t even kleenex in the room. Need a shelf in the bathroom to put your toiletries and a small table in the room. Also, our tv didn’t work. Additionally, we moved the bed and it was very dirty underneath. A mini fridge and safe would greatly add to the room as well

Good location a short walk from the main touristy spot in glaway. Close to restaurants. A parking lot across the street was convenient to drop off and pick up bags and the cheaper parking lot was also a short walk away.

Very noisy even though it is not on the Main Street. The AC in the room required the window to be open which let even more noise in.

Galway is a party town, so evenings are noisy, but that would be hard to avoid while still being in a central location.

Enkel digital booking og uthenting av nøkkel. God informasjon i forkant om innsjekk. De første dagene var kundeservice rask å svare. Jeg er også takknemlig for rask hjelp når det viste seg at jeg hadde booket en natt for lite og jeg fikk mulighet til å booke en natt til. Et annet positivt poeng er at beliggenheten er helt super.

Skittent, illeluktende (særlig bad) og ikke skikkelig vasket. Det var råte/mugg på badet. Kundeservice var rask på saken og sendte vasker, men det ble ikke særlig forbedring. Det jeg likte minst med overnattingsstedet var at utgangsdøren var ved flere anledninger åpen og ikke mulig å låse. Hele kveld og natt til lørdag var den åpen. Dette resulterte i at jeg ikke følte meg trygg. Siste natten var det mye trafikk gjennom hoveddøren og mye lyd. Jeg tror også det var uvedkommende i gangen så det var stønning og forsøk på å ta i håndtakene. Dette resulterte i at jeg var våken hele natten og redd for å sovne i frykt for at noen var utenfor min dør.
