Leading up to arrival at this amazing resort, I received fantastic service from Rajesh through regular WhatsApp communication- particularly as there was a huge thunderstorm- and it ensured a smooth transfer. The natural surroundings of this resort are absolutely stunning with beautiful views of the lake. The room was well located, very comfortable with excellent amenities, and the outdoor seating area from the terrace was an added bonus. The food and drink options were the best and excellent service was received from all staff throughout the stay. Cannot imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Pokhara!

Very new property , so the restaurant services close by 10 and no nearby places if u need something in night ! The food part needs to improve ,average food . The vacation means good stay and amazing food but food part was below average . The location & property as such is amazing !

Spectacular landscaping / green and natural / incredibly tasteful

The only complaint if we had to find something, might be the intermittent noise from the nearby cable car. It wasn’t constant by any means, and we couldn’t quite figure out the timetable of when on/off … but now and again it broke the otherwise perfect tranquility

We really enjoyed the view and the pool area. We were upgraded to a deluxe room, which was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is modern and beautifully equipped. The owner of the hotel approached us personally and explained the background and history of the hotel.

Dorje’s resort is a beautiful resort close to Pokhara town but far away enough to escape the hectic city life. We stayed for a week here and enjoyed relaxing at the pool after a huge week of hiking. The room is extraordinary and very larger and comfy. The bed is comfortable, the linen soft and the mattress not too firm nor too soft. We enjoyed taking a bath with the view. The food is wonderful and the bar area is nice and quiet for a relaxing cocktail and bites. Our breakfast was excellent and the coffees one of the best we had in Nepal. What made our stay even more enjoyable was the extreme friendliness of the staff. You can tell they love their job and have been absolutely fantastic to us the entire week. We used the laundry service too which was great too and the jacuzzi at the pool with a margarita is also a good recommendation:) lastly, the massages at the hotel were very soothing and professional too. We felt divine afterwards. I won’t hesitate to book this resort in Pokhara for a restful and lovely stay!

Hard to say anything we didn’t like. Perhaps when you stay a week it would have been nice if they had offered to light the fires at the patio area or offered a barbecue night for the guest instead of having to book it exclusively. The same thing with the yoga room, we havent used it since it was only offered if you had used it exclusively and booked it privately, but maybe they can offer it as a group activity for guests staying longer at the resort. This is a minor suggestion so definitely not meaning to give any negative feedback. The hotel is perfect in every way, just a suggestion.

I propose this to all i know, it was a super team comprising of Hem, Sam, Chetan,Kirthika and their entire support staff, never did we feel that we were unattended or helpless in any form.The spa, the food, the room, ambience, upkeep was a notch above, value for money in true sense

We had a fantastic stay at Sarangkot Mountain Lodge and truly enjoyed every moment. The views are absolutely breathtaking, especially the unforgettable sunrise over the Annapurna range—it’s simply magical and worth waking up early for. The food was excellent, everything was very clean and well maintained, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene and memorable mountain getaway!

Beautiful resort with the kindest and most attentive staff that couldn’t do enough for us. Everybody we met at Dorje’s was so caring - helping us to plan our days, lighting the fire to keep us warm, always on hand with advice and transport support via WhatsApp or in person. You couldn’t wish to be looked after by nicer people! We arrived late due to a delayed flight and the staff had reserved us a candlelit dinner by the fire pit - just perfect! We loved the vegetable momos, hot lemon tea and freshly cooked omelettes in the morning. The staff warmed the jacuzzi for us and made every moment magical. Nepal is the 30th country I’ve visited and the hospitality at Dorje’s must be the best I’ve experienced!

A beautiful property, just a little out of town but can walk down the road. Exceptional service and facilities. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. The staff were well trained. Really enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi.

Absolutely amazing resort - by far exceeding the standards of other 5 star properties in Nepal. A must visit! We didn't leave the entire time we were there.

Everything was absolutely amazing! The room was huge and stunning, with a breathtaking view of the lake and a peaceful atmosphere. The bathroom was incredible, a massive bathtub, a separate shower, and even Himalayan bath salts. I had a great massages at a very reasonable price for the standing of the hotel, and even though they were fully booked during the day, they managed to find a slot for me as requested. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, they brought chocolates in the afternoon, and on our last day, since we were leaving early at 7 a.m., they opened the breakfast buffet specially at 6:30 just for us! They also arranged free transport to the bus station so we wouldn’t have to worry about finding a taxi. Everything was smooth, thoughtful, and reassuring. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an incredible pool, and a large quiet terrace perfect for relaxing. The location is ideal, about 5 minutes from the center of Pokhara by scooter, so it feels both peaceful and convenient. Everything was perfect and relaxing after a 4-day trek. Thank you !

Only minor downside: the pool wasn’t heated, which was a shame because it looked amazing.

After our 10 days trek this was just the perfect spot relax ! The hotel is so pretty , the rooms are huge incl bath tub and shower ! Bed super conferrable! Everyone there is super nice and helpful ! Location is quiet and in same time close to the Main Street with shops,lake and restaurants .This hotel has just 18 rooms . And I can tell it's a treasure in Phokara ! Definitely will book again if get in this area.

Following my trek to Annapurna Base Camp, Dorje’s Resort and Spa was exactly what I needed to relax and unwind. The room was perfect, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything I could want for a comfortable stay. The staff were outstanding, kind, supportive and caring. They anticipated my every need and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was another highlight. Every meal was beautifully prepared and served with immaculate care. The butter chicken curry with garlic naan was especially delicious. The team also organised a half day sightseeing tour for me, which made everything easy and enjoyable so I could focus on taking in the sights. The pool was beautifully maintained and felt like complete luxury after days of trekking. I also treated myself to an amazing spa experience with both a facial and massage, and the staff were highly professional, skilled and attentive, making it one of the best treatments I have ever had. What stood out most was how polite, kind and friendly all the staff were. As a solo traveller, I felt completely at ease and well cared for throughout my stay. The property is clean, secluded and very comfortable. But most particularly, the staff is there for anything you need - even in unexpected circumstances. We stayed in early September, during the social media shut down and resulting protests in Nepal. The staff, including the owner, Dorje went out of their way to ensure our comfort and safety. They provided us feedback about safety of travel out of Pokhara and ensured us flexibility in our stay as we were unable to continue with our plans to head to Chitwan. We stayed a total of five nights and each day felt as though we were cared for and looked after. In addition, it was clear that the staff was exceptionally well looked after during this time as well - which says so much about Dorje and his respect for others. We couldn’t imagine having stayed anywhere else during this time and had felt the comfort and safety that we did. We are thankful for Dorje and the team who made this possible. We would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had an incredible stay at the resort, the staff were very thoughtful and took care of arranging pick up and transfers for us as we have used it as a base to trek in the Himalayas, it was the perfect oasis to rest in between travel and trekking and we are very grateful to the supportive staff! The resort was very comfortable and offered beautiful views of the lake and amazing pool and jacuzzi.

This property is perhaps the best property in Pokhra. Huge cottages and I highly recommend taking one with the balcony. It’s worth every extra penny for the upgrade. The location is spectacular as it’s right next to the cable car starting point to go to sarangkot (9min ride). We met the owners - Dorje and Jen - wonderful hosts. I have to highlight one of their staff Tilotama - who works at the reception. It’s rare to come across someone who goes so over and above the required responsibilities. She started coordinating with us a day before the arrival and arranged everything for our pickup (which is free from the airport!) to arranging our activities like paragliding and bungee jumping even though we were checking out the next day and all coordination was from the other hotel. Even after our checkout she checked in with us to make sure everything went well and if we needed any other help. This kind of customer service left us completely awed as you don’t get to see the is in 99.99% hotels. Whether one or more nights, highly recommend to include this hotel during your stay at Pokhra. Enjoy!

An unforgettable post-trek retreat—beautiful design, serene atmosphere, and exceptional service My husband and I stayed at Dorje’s for three nights after completing the Annapurna Circuit, and it was the best decision we made on our trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt deeply cared for—greeted at the Pokhara airport, welcomed with a refreshing drink, and allowed to check in early, which we really appreciated after days on the trail. The property is stunning, with thoughtful architecture and interior design throughout. Nearly every spot on the grounds offers a beautiful lake view, and the rooms are filled with intentional, high-quality touches. Everything felt fresh, clean, and well-maintained. We indulged in spa treatments that included access to the steam room and sauna before our massages—an incredibly relaxing experience. Since we were there at the end of May (the beginning of monsoon season), the property was especially peaceful, and we often had the pool entirely to ourselves. The staff mentioned that it gets much livelier around September and October. We also had the pleasure of meeting Dorje himself and hearing his inspiring story of building the resort after years in the restaurant business. His hospitality ethos is clear in every detail—from the delicious, fresh food at the on-site restaurant (we happily ate most meals there) to the genuinely kind, attentive staff who go above and beyond to make your stay exceptional.

My friend and I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Dorje Resort & Spa in Pokhara for two nights, and from the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. We were picked up from our previous hotel and warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks – such a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. Though we arrived early, the staff graciously allowed us to use the resort’s facilities while our room was being prepared. To our surprise and delight, we were also given a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room, which was absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and the team truly went above and beyond to make it special. I walked into our room to find a lovely banner, balloons, and a delicious birthday cake waiting for me — it was such a heartfelt gesture that made my day unforgettable. The food and cocktails at the resort were incredible — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Breakfast was a real highlight, with a great variety of options to suit every taste. A special shoutout to Tilotama, the supervisor, who made our stay seamless and memorable. She was not only helpful and professional but genuinely kind and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Her warmth and hospitality made a huge difference and added a personal touch to our experience. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough — from the service to the setting, everything exceeded our expectations. I would love to return in the future.

It was a great place to get some rest, relax and recover. Pokhara can be reached by foot in 30 min.

We booked for 3 nights and ended up staying for 5 basically because it was top class experience…..the staff really go out of their way to make you feel at home, Dorje is very friendly and especially Lalita who was fantastic….rooms are enormous and finished to high standard……

Normal hotel

A beautifully designed luxury hotel in Pokhara with stunning views of Lake Phewa. The rooms were elegant and well-appointed, and the resort itself is thoughtfully laid out with charming touches throughout. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options, and the Nepali cuisine was exceptional — the vegetarian thali is a must-try. We also enjoyed the spa facilities, especially having the steam and sauna area all to ourselves — a perfect way to unwind. There are plenty of lovely outdoor spaces around the resort to relax, take in the views, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

The Junior Suite is located above the pool area, which can be quite noisy during the day, especially when the hotel is busy with families. If you're looking for quiet and privacy, you might prefer a room that's set back from the pool. We also found some mechanical noise outside the window — possibly from a pool pump — incredibly off-putting, it was so loud on a nearly hourly basis which meant we had to keep the windows closed at times. The room description mentioned a balcony, but our suite didn’t have one. We looked into the hotel’s transfer service but ended up arranging transportation separately, as we found more affordable options elsewhere. There are inconsistencies in their airport transfers - some automated messages mention it's complimentary, while others mention costs that were very different to the 330 USD I was told over whatsapp. We booked outside of the hotel the same trip for 40USD. Food at the property was a mix — the Nepali dishes along with breakfast were excellent, but we wouldn’t suggest ordering Western options. The steak my partner ordered was unfortunately inedible — extremely tough and difficult to chew, despite being ordered medium-rare. Finally, we were surprised to find that access to the steam room and sauna came at an additional cost, despite our room rate being close to $400 per night. For a hotel in this price range, we expected those facilities to be included.

I can’t express enough gratitude towards the staff at Dorje’s Resort and Spa, especially Rouma and Tara, for their exceptional service during our stay. The birthday decorations in our room were beautiful, and the overall ambiance of the spa and resort was soothing and welcoming. Although the kitchen service could be quicker, the delicious taste and careful preparation of meals compensated well. More vegetarian options would be appreciated, but the existing dishes were delightful.

The room itself was spacious and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The bathtub in the room was luxurious and relaxing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always ready to assist with any request. It would have been great if there had been a variety of food available at the breakfast buffet. Also, the pillows were too high, causing discomfort and strain on my neck.

It was memorable. Staff was so nice and they were always helpful. Felt home. Try the spa and it's definitely a cherry on the top.

Had a pool day with some friends and again the stay were very accommodating It was a little far from the town - but it was very easy to get a driver into town and it was good to be away from the noise

Dorje’s exceeded our expectations. Quiet, Zen five star property that can rival any other world class hotel. Loved every bit of our stay including getting massage twice in their spa.

We had the most fantastic stay at Dorjes, it felt like dropping into the absolute lap of luxury after being in Kathmandu. The staff were incredibly helpful (big thank-you again to whoever picked up my suitcase from the airport after the airline lost it & it arrived a day after we did!). They had some great tips for what to do in the surrounding area and were superbly responsive over Whatsapp, we were extremely well looked after. The place was immaculately clean, beautifully landscaped and designed, and the room was one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. We enjoyed sitting in the jacuzzi at sunset and taking in the views of the lake from our balcony. The breakfast spread was generous and the food was fairly decent for hotel food. Location-wise it's slightly outside of town (not easily walkable) but in exchange you get the mountain view down onto the lake, and it's very easy to get a short taxi there and back, we just ordered them on inDrive. It's conveniently right by the cable car station for an easy trip to Sarangkot - we loved seeing the incredible view of the whole mountain range from the top. We also paid extra to have some wonderful swedish massages, and made use of the spa. A great way to relax after a morning of hiking. Basically for us Dorjes was 10/10 and well worth the money. Thanks for having us!

The owner along with his charming wife are both fully involved in the hotel. mingling with guests and enquiring about the service and comfort of each and every guest. Property gives feeling of close to nature and as far as possible offers sustainability. Entire staff gives you the comfort of home and go out of their way to satisfy your needs. The barbecue organised was amazing considering we were a group of only 7 guest. although not a part of their services to be provided even arranged our flights to be prepped so we could connect with out international flight.

We had the most amazing stay at Dorje’s. The staff went above and beyond and were incredibly helpful. The resort is beautiful and was the perfect way for us to rest and recover after climbing Everest Base Camp. We met Dorje and he was so lovely and very helpful. We would highly recommend Dorje’s and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The small resort is brand new and far exceeded our expectations. The luxury rooms are spacious and full of bells and whistles such as a wonderful bathtub, bar, fridge, counter space, and huge balcony with a view of the lake and the Peace Pagoda. The breakfast was amazing as was the beautiful bar, yoga studio, sound bathing, and spa. Perfect place to soak in a hottube and enjoy the outdoor shower and waterfall pool after a trek. Highly recommend! Great value for the price. In a town where there are several good options for cheaper accommodation Dorje's is worth the splurge. I can't wait to go back!

The beds could be a little softer.

Staff were exceptionally helpful, particularly Indra & Bikram. They could not do enough to ensure we had a fabulous stay. Even the resort owner interacted with occupants on a daily basis. Beautiful resort overlooking the lake that provides great dinning options with much of the produce grown at the resort. Rooms are well designed using eco friendly materials & are spacious & clean. We had a fabulous stay & cannot recommend Dorjes enough.

I know it is hard to keep the property up to date and it is quite expensive yet I wish if it is a little cheaper, we could visit the place more often. Cheers !!!

Our stay at Dorje’s resort and spa has been wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating. The hospitality here is incredibly warm, friendly, and generous. The rooms have a rustic, tasteful, and timeless charm. They are spacious and immaculately clean. We stayed at Dorje’s for 7 nights, thoroughly enjoying the comfort of our room and the tranquility of the resort. During our stay, we mostly ate at the resort and enjoyed the wide variety of offerings - particularly the Nepalese Thali, and buffet breakfasts. Our massages at the spa were just what we needed when we first arrived. The staff are impressively attentive, ever ready to assist, without ever being intrusive or pushy. Amazingly, they are ALL, genuinely warm and friendly. There is a feeling of being welcomed into a happy family here, of being received with open arms. We have enjoyed our conversations with Dorje (the owner) and many of the staff, and are so grateful for their hospitality and generosity. Dorje’s is a unique resort. While it is a business, there is a sense that it is also an initiative to support the local Nepalese people, by providing them with meaningful and supportive work opportunities. We learnt that there are two staff here that are unable to speak and other staff who face other challenges. At Dorje’s, their skills and abilities are nurtured. Being a very small part of supporting a place like this has made our stay unexpectedly special, and one we will always treasure. Thank you for everything.

I've stayed at some of the world's best resorts — Four Seasons, Rosewood, Aman, and I have to say: our stay at Dorje's is up there. I highly, highly recommend it. Frankly, I didn't expect a resort of this quality for my stay in Pokhara. We stayed in a couple of the suites and were treated to a gorgeous view of Pokhara, excellent staff and service, and impeccable vibes. The staff went out of their way to organize events and gatherings for us, i.e. a bonfire and a wedding after party. They catered to every single need we had. My personal favorite was the ice bath, steam and sauna which happened to be somewhat connected to the Dorje's Suite I stayed it. This is an amenity I used daily. My heartfelt gratitude to the manager, Pramod, and Mr. Dorje for building a true oasis in every sense of the word. I hope to come back in a few years.
