The worst experience ever. The location is at the back of a shop lot dark, quiet, and feels unsafe. We had to constantly monitor the CCTV and be very aware of our surroundings. The narrow alley is dimly lit, with stray dogs around, and cars speed through using it as a shortcut without caring for pedestrians, even those with luggage. It’s definitely not a convenient or safe place for families, especially with young children or elderly members. The check-in process was extremely poor. Even though we were already standing right in front of the correct door, the staff gave us the wrong instructions, causing us to walk around the entire building unnecessarily. When we called for clarification, they only confused us more by giving incorrect information again. On top of that, the cleaner was very rude. We had already informed them that we were packing and about to check out, yet she kept knocking, ringing the doorbell repeatedly, and speaking to us disrespectfully. This was truly the worst stay I’ve ever experienced. I’ve travelled widely and stayed at many Airbnb properties, but nothing has ever been this bad. I will never return to this place again completely banned from my life and my whole family’s.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2025Place looks very nice and is generally clean and safe. Check in was very clear and easy. The location is in good walking distance to historic downtown although you need to cross a lot of traffic to get there.
It would be great to have a water filter installed to refill potable water. The bathroom needs a proper cleaning (lots of dust behind and above the door, floor felt sticky). There was mould or at least a water damage on the bedroom wall to the bathroom that has to be taken care of. The sheets in the bedroom had very obvious stains of food or drinks, so we had to swap them with those of the other room.

Reviewed May 26, 2025My family and I enjoyed our short stay very much. The place is cute, and the owner uses every space effectively. Even though it is small, it has everything, and it is practically arranged. We love the fact that everyone can be connected inside the house. Instructions upon check-in were also clear, and the prompt reply by the host made everything go well and resulted in a good stay we had. We would love to come again in the future. Tq
The outdoor kitchen could be made cleaner, as some dried leaves and sand were on the floor when we went in. We had to sweep the floor to tidy the floor a bit. This is because it is an open space.

Everything is good in all environments. Just one thing needs improvement: The blanket on the single leather sofa bed is a bit thin. Perhaps it could be replaced with a thicker one, as the leather sofa bed tends to feel colder in an air-conditioned room.

1) Small dining area. 2) got mosquito 3) cooking area is at open yard. Will get wet if cook food during the rain. 4) the door system will continue cut power/ wifi if you go to yard cooking, unless there are somebody lock from inside(refer photo). Every time enter back to the dining area,we need to press security door code again. Funny system.

It's located down a laneway but I felt so secure as a solo female traveller, as it is fitted out with multiple locks and security cameras. The host was so helpful and available to answer any and all questions.

Reviewed Oct 3, 2024The apartment is in a quiet part of town with Restaurant Ban Lee Siang and Nancy's Kitchen nearby for convenience. The home is modern with new furniture, very nice shower (1 toilet, 1 shower separate), and with comfortable beds and linen. Having a resident carpark on site with CCTV camera guarding it, gives us a good sense of security. Taking a Grab to Jonker is less than 5 mins and about 5-8 RM. Very convenient! Host is very responsive to whatsapp and I do appreciate it.
The home is too smart. Electricity is connected to the main door which must be locked to supply most of the power to the smart home. Going to the kitchen (which is outdoor, al fresco) will trip the WiFi and it will take a few mins to restart/reboot again.

We had elderly and a young child with us. There was no hot water to shower. Even after we had notified the management nothing was done about it. All they could say was that the boiler gave way. Very disappointing.

Reviewed Jul 29, 2024The location is close to most of the attraction that I was planning on visiting, therefore making this place a strategic location. The place was comforting event though it was small, I was amazed by the pictures and when I arrived at the location upon checking in I was even more amazed by the place when it was dark at night.
If you're afraid of the dark you may want to check in earlier as its located in the back alley which wasn't light up when we were there to check in at 1am. But overall it was good and safe place nonetheless due to the CCTV around the perimeter including the parking spot by the owner.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2024It is very easy to find with info from the host. Free parking 20m from the front door. Walking distance to Jonker Street and other tourist attractions. Beds comfortable, each private bedroom had a TV. Good security provided.
Could have been a bit cleaner, a few items from the previous tenant found behind the TV cabinet. Unit could do with new bath towels.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2024Love the atmosphere of the whole stay, clean and comfortable beds, location was superb only need to walk for 7min to reach Jonker street! Love the security camera for the parking area and of course free parking! We couldn't enter the second door and into the house on the first day, notify the owner and immediately help us by changing the door locking code for us. Super Fast Responsive Service! Definitely Recommend For People Visiting Melaka!

Reviewed Feb 20, 2024The overall design of the space is tastefully done. Small but equipped with all basic things we needed.
We have to keep the door locked to get power supply, which means if we don't lock it in time, the TV, internet, kettle and all stuff using power point supply will shut down. I understand that this is for the safety reason but it's quite troublesome especially travelling with a group of friends where some of them might want to go out to the kitchen area for small cooking or when they are on phone. If we can shift the lock system to the main door will make more sense.

Reviewed Feb 17, 2024Creative location, modern design :) Love the cctv facing the parking especially. Check in was easy, clear instructions from owner. Bedrooms were quiet, had a comfortable sleep. Location can be pro and con, 15mins walk to jonker walk was a little far, but good thing is we get free parking spot.
The light in the bathroom makes huge noise. WiFi kept disconnecting.
