LEJU 79 樂居 A Heritage Getaway in the Heart of Melaka

It is well equipped, cleanliness is incomparable, location is just perfect for short touristy stay. It made my experience of Melaka so much worth remembering and revisiting!

Superbe maison traditionnelle en plein cœur du vieux Malacca.assez bien équipée. Il fait cependant un peu chaud dans la cuisine et la salle de bains qui ne sont pas climatisés

Sin duda lo mejor del alojamiento ha sido la ubicación céntrica, pero en una calle tranquila y sin ruido. Además de unas camas muy cómodas. Encontramos el alojamiento extremadamente te limpio a nuestra llegada. Un extra importante ha sido contar con un dispensador de agua que ofrece agua filtrada caliente, fresca y muy fría. También me gustaría resaltar la decoración de la casa que ha hecho que nos sintamos muy a gusto en ella. A mi familia y a mí nos dio mucha pena tener que dejarla.

建物は古いけど、とてもオシャレで綺麗で清潔感もあり、部屋も良い匂いでした。 1階と2階全てを自分たちだけで使えるので、広々としていて、ゆっくりくつろぐことができました。 オーナーの方もメールで丁寧に事前に送って下さって、また、チェックアウトも14:00まで無料で伸ばして下さり、とても助かりました。 コーヒーなど飲もうと、ペットボトルの水を買って行きましたが、ボタンを押すだけでお湯やお水が出るマシーンが置いてありペットボトルの水は必要なかったです。

悪い点は特になかったです。

Great location, close to the main area yet quiet. Great beds and showers. Very stylish. fyi there's a speak easy right behind, it has a yellow gate, above the coffee shop, entry from behind. Called Yu, sign up when open at night. You can't hear it but just saying if people want to know. Great place. Suited our needs and offered a great alternative if you want authentic accommodation. Highly recommended

People mention the mosquito's, agree. I think it's melaka, and the coffee shop owner started there were had a lot due to local renovations. Spray available at near by 24hr convenience store.

Wunderschönes altes Wohnhaus, das liebevoll und authentisch in eine Ferienunterkunft umgewandelt wurde. Sehr geräumig, toller Stil, Lage ist perfekt. Wir haben es geliebt! Die Einrichtung ist zudem sehr stimmig, man fühlt sich tatsächlich in eine andere Zeit zurückversetzt. Haus und Einrichtung stimmen einen wunderbar ein auf die geschichtsträchtige Umgebung!

Host was very responsive! Nestled in an old street, this lovely heritage home has all the amenities you could possibly need. Close proximity to places of interest.

What an amazing place. A converted shophouse. It's just gorgeous and has everything you want. Location is brilliant, close to Jonker Street but just far enough that it's quiet. Host was amazing and so helpful with any questions. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this place.

This wasn't an issue for us, but be aware accessibility could be a problem. The bedroom is upstairs, and the bathroom is on the ground floor. Again, not an issue for us, but it could be for some people.

Location is fantastic within walking distance of Jonker Street, other small interesting streets, the port and other tourist sights. The photos tell a true picture of the property’s facilities, in fact it might even be better than the photos! Nice little touches with different styles of old furniture mixed in with modern facilities. Air-conditioning and ceiling fans all work great and it is roomier than you think. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything if you need to use it, washing machine available and the bathroom was clean and tidy. Finally, it helps when you have an owner who communicates efficiently with you to make sure you have everything for your stay and is very helpful if you contact her as well as having lots if information in a folder in the living room.

We only stayed there 1 night :) so we will have to come back

Das appartment ist sehr gut in der historischen Altstadt gelegen. Es ist außergewöhnlich geschmackvoll eingerichtetet, hat sehr viel Platz und ist sehr sauber.

The house is atypical. It was good size and very well decorated, mix of modern and historical items, giving it a very interesting and chill vibe. The location is just perfect near all the main sights of Malaka and so close to jonker street. Ideal for our 1 full day there for us. We loved Malaka and the house played a big part in this! Bathroom and shower were spot on. We didn't use the kitchen or kitchen area much as this was the only down point: it could do with some air con but then again, the layout probably doesn't make this possible. Air con is in place in lounge and bedroom though, so perfect for chilling and sleeping.

Maybe just the heat in the kitchen area but not a problem for us. We would love to stay again in this accomodation if back in Malacca!

La maison est sublime ! L'architecture traditionnelle mêlée à une décoration plus brute crée une ambiance des plus apaisante. La localisation est parfaite, en plein coeur du centre historique ! Nous étions 4 et le logement était parfaitement adapté !

Staying at Leju 79 Heritage House was one of the highlights of our trip to Melaka. The house is absolutely stunning—beautifully restored with so much attention to detail. From the charming heritage architecture to the warm, stylish interiors, every corner feels full of character and care. You can tell this place has a story. The location is unbeatable. Nestled in the heart of the historic district, it’s just a short walk to all the major attractions—Jonker Street, Dutch Square, the riverwalk, and so much more. Yet, despite being so central, the house is peaceful and feels like a quiet retreat from the buzz of the city. What truly made our stay special was the incredible hospitality of the host. So kind, responsive, and genuinely thoughtful. We received great local tips, fast help whenever we had a question, and little touches that made us feel completely at home. If you’re visiting Melaka and want an authentic, comfortable, and unforgettable experience, Leju 79 Heritage House is the place to stay. We can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed the great style of the house, the decoration was exactly what we like. And the house location is perfect.

The ground floor of the house is pretty dark but it's the concept of these heritage houses: not many windows.

The opportunity to stay in a modernized heritage house is an experience not to be missed. It has historic nature with all the comforts needed - air conditioning, modern shower and washing machine. There is so much space unlike a hotel room. I would definitely stay again.

It took some time to figure out the lights and the hot water but not a deal breaker at all. Just different and a little bit of patience and common sense. Suggest to reach out and ask the host if clarification is needed. The host is very professional and quick to respond!

A beautiful and charming place in the UNESCO World Heritage zone of Malacca. The place was very nicely preserved while having all the necessary modern facilities needed to be comfortable. In the house there was also a lot of information about Malacca and its history, so we also learned a lot just by reading what was available in the house. The location is excellent, and the hosts very helpful. The two large beds were very comfortable, and the fish bath was very soothing.

The only negative thing was that outside the main house (where the kitchen and bathroom were) there were quite a lot of mosquitoes. However, we still had a great time and loved the property,

Perfect location, we were able to visit all the sites of Melaka and frequently pop back to drop off shopping or have a quick rest. Just a few minutes from Jonker Street and the river. We loved living in a heritage property and stepping back in time, a really immersive experience, yet we also had super comfortable beds, quality toiletries and a brilliant shower. Having incredible coffee freshly roasted a couple of doors down (plus fun cats) was a bonus. Can’t say enough about this special place. Oh, and the fish in the bathtub were so cute, we enjoyed their company!

Beautiful apartment with all the amenities you'd like. Centrally located in the city center next to some great restaurants!

A whole shophouse just for you! Location is right in the historical district of Melacca, cute little cafes just metres away, super close to Jonker street but still quiet enough at nighttime. We loved the big open space, the bathtub fishtank, the option to watch youtube etc on the smart tv. Extra little mattress provided which was perfect for our toddler. Couldn't have been better, would recommend to anyone.

Travelling with a toddler it would have given us piece of mind to be able to block off the staircase at the top
