La Maison Gạo, Hoi An

This experience was a tale of two sides. On one hand, the house manager, Thu, was incredibly friendly and tried everything to resolve the issues we faced. Thank you, Thu, for all your hard work and for trying so hard to make things right!

The apartment had critical failures that good will alone could not fix. Electrical Safety: The stove was unusable; the circuit tripped immediately upon switching it on. Cooling Failure: With outside temperatures reaching 40°C, the air conditioning was a major disappointment. The AC units blew warm air, and the provided fans offered no relief. Common Areas: The downstairs lounge/coffee room was also unusable due to a non-functional AC. Finally management offered to transfer us to another property on our last two days, but we decided to leave for a different hotel. To their credit, they did provide free transfers to that new location, which was much appreciated. The property has beautiful potential, but it is currently uninhabitable during hot weather.

La Maison Gao is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and in a very picturesque setting across from rice paddies. The apartments and the entire complex are beautiful, and they are represented well in the pictures. Communication with the property management was easy and timely. I’d highly recommend staying at La Maison Gao.

The complex is situated about 10-15 min by bicycle or scooter from the old town. While there are a few restaurants nearby, the selection is limited.

We sadly only stayed a very short while but I can easily see myself staying for a week at least!! The space is so comfortable!! And so beautiful. Felt like being at home. The pool was a refreshing welcome and we just loved ordering grab food from local restaurants, delivered straight to our door and staying in. Recommended

Great location, wonderful host (very attentive, responsive to guest’s needs).

We booked the apartment on the upper floor of the front building. The entire complex is very well-maintained, and the apartments are spacious, tastefully furnished, and inviting. There's a fully automatic coffee machine in the common area, but unfortunately, it needed repairs. The guest relations manager, Ms. Hien, speaks fluent English and took excellent care of us, promptly resolving our concerns. We would love to come back!

The location was perfect for me - quiet but close enough to town and the beach to scooter or ride. Felt less touristy.

Beautifully decorated rooms with design flare. A very beautiful neighbourhood. Such a beautiful location right on the rice paddies. Great for walking and cycling. Very close to great markets for veges, fruit and great food options.

Booked this place last minute and without much thought after charm champion cancelled my booking out of the blue... So I arrived at this place with an ailing neck and a tired soul and trust me when i say this..the apartment literally nursed me back to health. I spent the last four days of my trip unwinding at this beautiful sanctuary amidst the rice fields and these were the most relaxing few days of my life... The studio apartment is well-appointed with all the amenities required for a comfortable and fulfilling stay. The bed was just the right kind of hard and it took me exactly 3 seconds to reach deep sleep. You also get free bicycles to take around the city and trust me you won't need a bike from here. The place is well connected to all the major attractions... Both old town and the beaches are at a cyclable distance. Hien and Hough are super warm hosts and they helped us make our trip a memorable one. They got us into an amazing cooking class, even got us affordable cab rides and were always ready to pitch in to make our trip more exciting and fun..

Wonderful little villa, perfect in every aspect, gorgeous pool and such a nice quiet location - we'll definitely be back here again next year. We couldn't fault anything about the place, fantastic!!!

Beautiful little oasis overlooking rice fields of Cam Thanh. Close to everything but away from the hustle and bustle Nice open rooms. Comfortable beds. Reverse osmosis water available so your not using plastic bottled water all the time Hosts were very friendly and helpful
