泊まらななかった（予約内容と違ったので、無料キャンセルを要求したがキャンセルしてくれなかった）

ホテルの担当者が、日本にある日本の旅館であるのにもかかわらず、日本語でのコミュニケーションが困難。そして、英語のコミュニケーションも困難。たまに、自動翻訳のような返事も来たが、それ以外の返事は自動翻訳使用しないものは、漢字の変換や、文章の文脈が意味不明で、理解不能だった。部屋の種類も、日本語で、ファミリールームを予約したのに、英語で、you booked a mixed bunk bed dorm roomという、誤解を招く返事がきたりして、家族の不安を煽り、お金を無駄遣いさせられた。日本語を頑張って話してくれようとしていましたが、やはり、まともに理解できないので、これ以上は誤解を余計に招くと思い、カスタマーサービスに連絡しました。 良い評価のレビューは数年前の古いもので、あれはオーナーが変わる前のもののように思える。この宿を検討する人は、Googleのレビューを参考にすることをお勧めします。Googleのレビューの最近のものを読んでいたら、予約はしませんでした。後悔しています。

Een enthousiaste eigenaresse die veel en duidelijk uitlegt. Wanneer zij er niet is, is er wel iemand aanwezig, die spreekt alleen wat minder goed Engels. Geen probleem, want je kan de eigenaresse gewoon goed bereiken via WhatsApp. Verder kun je gemakkelijk een privé tijdstip reserveren om te douche en gebruik te maken van de warmwaterbronnen.

Very cozy and bright room. It is a great way to truly experience the traditional japanese ryokan. The whole stay was very cozy and homey. The owner is super nice, onsen reservation is easy. Strongly recommend!😊

The accommodation is located quite remotely. It is easy to reach with the cable car from Gora station (1min walk), but do not expect any restaurants or grocery stores in the near surroundment, so keep that in mind, because you can end up hungry if you do not plan your night before😅

If you like a high hills environment, this place is very nice. The owner is extremely friendly—she came down to greet me when I arrived and even offered an upgrade to a bigger room (which you can easily decline if you don't need it). The room itself was very clean. Overall, it's a nice, peaceful stay.

The slope to the parking area is very steep and dangerous; it is definitely better to drive a normal car here. When I first arrived, there were no lights outside or even in the lobby—I honestly thought I was being scammed lol! It was a bit startling until the owner finally came down. The shower is attached to the onsen, so if you want to shower twice a day, you have to inform them early. There were some water stains on the paper doors, though I didn't mind much. Also, because it's up on a hill, there are very few restaurants nearby—make sure to come prepared with your own food like I did!

I liked the place, the room, the onsen and everything in the hotel. The place is beautiful and you are in a good spot to move to other places, which is very nice for visiting Hakone.

The problem is the host very stressed about you going into a room without ac to the point they almost become aggressive so you change room. The places around are very very very expensive and the surrounding themselves are not so great.

It was lovely, warm and quiet. The room was a bit old but tidy and clean. The tatami was recently replaced. The manager was friendly and she can speak fluent English. She introduced the facilities and the rules clearly and she was really helpful. The scenery outside the room was superb! The private hot spring was qualified with certificate which was impressive. (i stayed another hot spring hotel with fake hot spring in the night before)

It was more like a hostel rather than a hotel. No toilets or bathroom in the room. Please adjust the expectation. The shower room was shared with the hot spring. You need to book the time slot with the manager. You also need to share the toilets but I was fine with this. Restaurants were a bit far away. Better to catch the cable trams to travel between the hostel and Goro station before 6pm. You can also grab a taxi but you need 1 min uphill walk back to the hostel as taxis cannot stop in front.

The location was okay, but unfortunately I was not satisfied with my overall experience. What didn’t you like about the property? I was very disappointed with my stay. I felt that I was charged too much for the room compared with the price I was told other guests had paid for a similar room. I was also not given a proper bill or receipt, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. Considering the price, I did not feel that the facilities or service justified what I paid. I expected clearer pricing and better transparency. Because of this experience, I would not stay at this property again.

Location.

Unfortunately, this stay was quite disappointing, especially for the owner attitude. I had requested an earlier check-in (2 pm), and although the owner was already at the property, we were not allowed to check in there till 3.30pm. Instead, we were convinced to move to a smaller room in another property a few doors away, across from the original one. We agreed to pay an additional AUD 35 per night, so that itself was not an issue. However, some of the way things were handled did not feel particularly professional. The room also had a few issues. Unlike most rental apartments these days, there was no cutlery. We were told that since COVID, providing cutlery for guests was "banned", which seemed quite unusual. There were some plates, bowls and glasses, but basic supplies such as washing liquid, enough napkins and bin liners were either missing or insufficient. Better to be ready to pay from the pocket. The cleanliness also could have been much better. We found a broken chair, a large pack of nappies and a piece of a toy that appeared to have been left behind by previous guests. There was also no Wi-Fi provided during our stay, which was another inconvenience (we were aware of this) Perhaps the strangest part was being asked to leave our passport as a deposit for the building key. I was not comfortable with that arrangement at all. Overall, some of these issues might seem small individually, but together they made the stay less comfortable than expected. For the price we paid, I expected a cleaner room, better-equipped facilities and a more professional approach to guests.

真夏日にエアコン壊れた部屋に入れさせられ、ルームチェンジするのに追加料金を要求された。 ありえない。 2度と行かない、というかもう営業もたないだろう。

掃除が丁寧で清潔感ありました。 エントランス？にカップ麺やお菓子、冷蔵庫に入った冷えたビールやジュース販売もありましたが、とてもリーズナブルでコンビニと同価格くらいでした。 オーナーの方？は気さくな方で、予約時にお部屋の仕様の提案や希望を聞いてくれて、宿泊者が快適に過ごせるよう工夫してくれているんだな、と感じました。 お陰でお部屋からの景色は最高でした！！ 大文字焼きの「大」がよく見えました！ いい意味で、テレビはありませんでした。 家族(小学生の子供)でお世話になりましたが、 デジタル漬けな毎日なので、何気につけてしまうテレビがない事が子供には良い環境だったと思います。 箱根の自然にちゃんと癒されました。 冷蔵庫はあったので(部屋によるかな？)とても助かりました。

７月の連休に行きましたが、共用トイレは(掃除も丁寧でキレイなのに、、)空調が効かず暑かったのが残念です。 風呂上がりの珪藻土？みたいなバスマットの黒ずみが気になりました。

We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The room was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. The owner/staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The location was perfect, convenient and close to Kami-Gora station, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay. The private onsen was spectacular, It’s my first time experiencing private onsen living here in Japan. It really did exceeded my expectations and will definitely come back next time with my family. Thank you!!

None! It was perfect. ✨✨ I noticed some reviews mentioned that the room felt a bit old, but I actually thought it added to the charm. It gave us the authentic Hakone atmosphere we were hoping for and made our trip even more memorable. Definitely the perfect Hakone vibe! 😍

Très belle chambre traditionelle japonaise avec tatamis, avec une super vue sur les montagnes et bien située à proximité directe du téléphérique. La possibilité de privatiser le onsen est très appréciable. Il y a aussi des snacks disponibles au rez-de-chaussée à un prix abordable. La gérante est gentille et arrangeante. Je recommande vivement !

L'hotel est loin de tout. Il faut 30 min de marche pour aller au village et il n'y a plus de funiculaire après 17h. Le taxi est la seule option. Pas de petit déjeuner sur place, il faut acheter au village.

東京から山奥で5時間程かかり、箱根温泉駅までいきましたが、当日22時ホテルイン出来ず少し遅れてインお願いしたかったけど外人の受付で、責任者がシアトルに住んでいて英語でしか対応できないとかわけわからん事言われキャンセル扱いで返金に応じてもらえませんでした、私がしっかりと場所と時間考えてなかったのもありすが、対応最悪でした

窓の無い部屋でエアコンも壊れていて使用不可。貸切り温泉で前の外国人が時間が過ぎても出でこず、下着で入っていたと聞き、せっかくの温泉に入る気にならなかった。

The room was really nice, big even for European standards and equipped in Japanese style. The owner was very friendly and explained everything. View was magnificent, but we got upgraded to the last floor room. And the private onsen was a relief after a long day of hiking.

The locations is a bit remote, no shops or restaurants around, so if you get hungry and are without a car, this is a bit of a problem. Expect 1-1,5 hours round trip to get some food. This includes cable car, walking and a bus ride :)

Generalnie nie polecam z całego serca, nigdy w życiu nie spotkałam się z takim niemiłym właścicielem. Szkoda, że nie sprawdziłam negatywnych opinii wcześniej, unikajcie tego miejsca!

1. W naszym pokoju na parterze trochę śmierdziało piwnicą. Zabiliśmy nawet kilka robaków w pokoju. Współdzielona toaleta znajdowała się na 2 i 3 piętrze - na parterze był tylko Onsen. Prysznic można wziąć w wyznaczonych godzinach, tylko z rezerwacją, rano jedynie o 9 (jeśli będzie miejsce). 2. Właścicielka początkowo wydawała się miła, dała nam wskazówki i oprowadziła po obiekcie. Problem zaczął się jednak, gdy chcieliśmy pójść do onsenu. Właścicielka poinformowała nas, że są 2 Onseny i można zarezerwować na wyłączność i wejść razem jako para. Zapisała nas na godzinę 19, ale powiedziała, że nie gwarantuje miejsca, ponieważ to popularna godzina i wtedy jak będą chętni to podzieli onseny na płci. Kiedy było bliżej naszej godziny zapytałam czy są jacyś chętni i czy będzie prywatny czy podział na płci, ona odpowiedziała „już ci mówiłam, ale cię to nie obchodzi”. Tutaj zaczęła się już bardzo nieprzyjemna atmosfera, a kobieta krzyczała na nas i była bardzo zła. Poinformowałam ją, że nie do końca zrozumieliśmy zasady, a ona powiedziała, że mam napisać maila jak nie mogę jej zrozumieć i że straciła już za dużo czasu na nas. Na onsen o 19 czekała jeszcze 1 kobieta i zapytała mnie czy będzie problem jeśli wejdzie z nami na 19, a właścicielka powiedziała, że każdy ma prawo wejść, bo to nie jest prywatny Onsen. Stwierdziliśmy, że jeśli Onsen o 19 jest otwarty dla wszystkich to pójdziemy coś zjeść, a ona obraziła się na nas i znowu okrzyczała, że jak się umawiamy to mamy przyjść. To było najdziwniejsze, ponieważ i tak o tej godzinie Onsen był otwarty dla wszystkich z podziałem na płcie. Oczywiście cała ta sytuacja przyniosła nam stres i niepotrzebne nerwy, a mieliśmy tu wypocząć. Baliśmy się już później odezwać do niej, bo siedziała nadąsana i nie odzywała się już do nas. Dodatkowo, zapytaliśmy czy dostaniemy ręczniki, a ona odpowiedziała „nie ma ręczników, bo dziś padało”, ale w końcu nam je dała. 3.

Ubytovani je v dochazkove vzdalenosti od stanice lanovky na Owakudani. Pred checkinem byla moznost po dohode s majitelkou zde zaparkovat vozidlo. V ubytovani byla moznost privatniho onsenu na 50 minut. Onsen je sirny, a to z oblasti Owakudani. Pobyt v onsenu byl velmi prijemny, skvela relaxace. Toalety byly k dispozici v 1. patre, vycistit zuby si bylo mozne u umyvadla v prizemi u onsenu, anebo v 1. patre na toaletach. Bylo si zde mozne koupit i instantni jidlo. Byli jsme ubytovani v prizemi, pred "recepci", a to naproti dverim. Checkout byl bezkontaktní, pouze nechate klice na miste. V pokoji bylo cisto, a to v celem ubytovani

Na spolecne chodbe pokoju byly dost citit nejake chemikalie, nebo barvy. Pokoj nam byl zmenen, a to nakonec zdarma. Pred touto zmenou zde byl jisty natlak od majitelky o upgradu pokoje, stale dokola opakovala, ze pokoj, co jsme si objednali je pro 2 dost maly a nepohodlny. Ackoliv nam to bylo jedno, nechtela nas do tohoto pokoje ubytovat a stale mluvila o placenem upgradu, ktery jsme opakovane odmitali. Z vedlejsiho pokoje byly hrozne slyset zvuky a hlasy, v noci bylo slyset i chrapani. Postel byla velikostne dostatecna, ale perina byla pro 2 dost mala a v noci nam byla zima.

Tammy was lovely and very helpful with everything!! I had onsen twice a day, always avail when requested (theres 2). She responds quick to messages and gave us heaps of info, from tours to different parts of the room and tradtions and operational stuff like the amazing light fixtures with remote control from bed!! (Havent seen that before). It was by far the cheapest accommodation with onsen (private room not a dorm) We appreciated the rules and clear expectations. It seems that the not great reviews come from people who didnt read the advert. We arrived and she showed us around, shes the first host to do this, usually its a note, or brief chat at reception. She greeted everyone the same way, thats a great personal touch / service. Theres heaps of room varieties too, futon or spring mattress, window or not, that all affects cost. The location and Tammy were so great we extended our stay. Its 5 min from major tourist spot/ cable car /ropeway over active volcano and lake. Theres food goods to purchase in lobby and microwave if u dont want to go out. Tammy pointed out where We could see the mountain with the special character from our balcony.

When we arrived, Tammy explained the toilet was upstairs from our chosen cheaper room, but she said we could upgrade to a 2nd floor room, we happily paid $15 extra to be on the same floor as toilets. An inidication of her thoroughness and wanting to make sure you have a good stay is she confirms once youve booked, what your getting, eg cheapest room has no window. we missed seeing the email she sent advising this - so thats our fault ; )

La dame responsable était super gentille et ultra accommodante : nous avions mal fait notre réservation pour une nuit et elle nous a offert une autre chambre pour notre confort. Elle parlait bien anglais aussi, ce qui était rassurant pour nous dans cette petit région.

Tammy is very nice and welcoming, very helpful with showing you what you need to know and then let's you get on with what you want to do! And she's very enthusiastic about the beauty of the place - right to be! It's in some stunning surroundings and you can get great views of the surrounding area. Onsen was nice too!

Very bad location. The closest convenience store you have to walk 20 minutes and your going downhill and getting back to your room .. well let's just say you need to be a athlete. They really should include that detail. The location is kind of remote.

there was no break fast, very hard to travel with kids in such properties. Though the properties was satisfied the staff was very rude. I think in such properties only one staff to handle is crucial.

My experience was very bad in this hotel. Hotel was beyond bad. My room was dirty and the onsen had mosquitoes, hair, and leaves inside of it. Hotel owner was rude, condescending, and didn’t give me my luggage until I paid 3000 yen because I was 1 hour late to checkout. It was extortion. I’ve been in Tokyo and this has never happened to me at any other Japanese hotel

The area has a strong sulfur smell, not the hotels fault of course. Would’ve liked more info on the shower/onsen situation. Having to book a spot to simply take a shower is strange.

A very lovely place run by a very lovely, friendly and most of all hilarious guest! We had a great time. The place is very nice, the location was great and the view was wonderful. The host was extremely helpful and kind in accommodating our needs and scheduling the onsen. The onsen alone was great! If you are planning to stay in Hakone this place is a must. I hope to come back again :) thank you for having us!

チェックイン時、オーナーさんから子供に明るく声を掛けて頂きました！部屋をグレードアップさせて頂き窓からのロケーションが最高でした! お風呂も広く、久しぶりに良い質の温泉にはいれました!貸し切りだったので家族皆で入る事が出来てゆっくりと疲れをとる事が出来ました。 宿泊した日は風の影響で目的だった大涌谷行きは果たせなかったので… 次回行く時はまた金閣荘へ行きますね! 子供もまた行きたいと言っております。 色々とありがとう御座いました!

Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Weil es im Ort nach 17 Uhr schwierig ist von A nach B zu kommen gibt es im ryokan die Möglichkeit Getränke und Instant-Ramen zu kaufen.

Het huisje lag op loopafstand van funiculair naar het station en de bergen/het meer. Ruime kamer, en onsen die op dag van aankomst nog te boeken was voor 1h. Snacks/noodles te koop. Vriendelijke, directe gastvrouw. Mooi uitzicht uit het raam op het dal. Mogelijkheid om bagage achter te laten.

Geen prive badkamer en toiletten waren ver weg van de kamer. Geen lift aanwezig. Geen restaurants in de directe omgeving.

Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin Tammy war im Vorfeld und beim Empfang sehr freundlich, höflich und vielversprechend. Sie ist eine bemühte Gastgeberin.

Leider konnte die Unterkunft selbst mit der freundlichen Kommunikation absolut nicht mithalten. Ursprünglich hatten wir zwei Zimmer gebucht – darunter eines mit Bergblick, um für drei Personen ausreichend Privatsphäre zu haben. Einen Tag vor der Anreise hatte Host Tammy telefonisch ein „Upgrade“, in ein größeres Zimmer in einem anderen Gebäude, angeboten, da aufgrund großer Reisegruppen offenbar Engpässe bestanden. Wir wollten kooperativ sein, doch das neue Zimmer entpuppte sich als große Enttäuschung. Bei unserer Ankunft war das Zimmer kalt und wirkte eher wie eine privat genutzte, verlebte Wohnung als eine professionelle Unterkunft. Die Sauberkeit war mangelhaft: Die Handtücher und die Toilettenbürste waren schmutzig, und der Zustand des Badezimmers war so wenig einladend, dass wir die Dusche gar nicht erst benutzen wollten. Zudem waren für drei angemeldete Personen lediglich zwei Betten vorbereitet. Auch der versprochene Ausblick fehlte, stattdessen blickten wir auf unterschiedliche Gerätschaften, die auf dem Balkon gelagert wurden. Wir haben aus Kulanz gehandelt, um der Unterkunft entgegenzukommen, wurden jedoch mit einer minderwertigen Erfahrung enttäuscht. Das ist sehr schade, da der menschliche Kontakt nett war.

The room was spacious with lots of light and nice views, which was very noticeable after being in Tokyo. Tammy was very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival and even cleaned the onsens so we could unwind after a long journey. The onsens were very relaxing and it was a treat to have them to ourselves. The accomodation is right next to the cable-car which gives easy access to either Gora/Hakone-Yumoto station or the souzan ropeway, making it ideal for doing the Hakone loop.

The cable-car doesn't run late, so it's worth noting that if you arrive late afternoon/evening then you will need to get a bus to the accommodation instead (it's a very steep area therefore would not recommend trying to walk unless very fit). Buses go up very steep and windy roads, which is worth considering if you suffer travel sickness, and not all can be used with the Hakone free pass, therefore check before you use a bus how you will be paying. This also applies to staying out late in Hakone/Gora if you want to have dinner out. We didn't mind getting back using the last cable car from Gora to Kami-Gora (6pm) as we bought food at a convenience store and had a relaxing evening in.

Spacious room with a view. The private Onsen was nice to share with the family. Tami the host was great to communicate with and provided her knowledge of the area and recommendations for dinner.

La proprietaria ha dei modi aggressivi nella comunicazione con il cliente. L'uso dell onsen (unico modo per fare la doccia) é confusionario. La proprietaria vuole renderlo privato per chi lo prenota prima, ma questo rende difficile l'uso per gli altri ospiti della struttura. It was clean. The onsen was nice. The room was simple and nice. The owner is quite eccentric. It’s not far from the funicular station but there isn’t much else around there. Very peaceful.

Strange smell on first entry which I think was just the onsen. It was fine once we were in. We were offered an upgrade but we could only pay in cash so make sure you have cash if you’d like to upgrade. We were a few coins down and she wouldn’t accept us paying the rest the next day. Fair enough - was a little disappointing for us.

The location is perfect! It’s very close to Sounzan Station, only about a 5-minute walk, which made getting around really convenient.

The owner kindly offered us an upgrade to a larger and more private room. But the building is a bit old, and the blanket a bit old, which could be improved.

Property is an older but very charming. It’s a topical Japanese style room with low table seating and futons. Bathroom is shared however the onsen is private. The location is about 10 min by taxi from Gora Station.

Amazing host and onsen. The real onsen with spring water coming from muddy volcano. It’s very hot but once you get used to it, it’s an amazing experience. Tummy, the property owner was amazing. She was able to let us use the Onsen, even though we checked in very late, she allowed our family of five to use just so we can have the best experience.
