The electricity tripped, but the owner came by quickly to fix it when feedback was given over whatsapp chat. During peak hours, there would be a jam.

L'assenza dello staff è stata un problema quando ci siamo accorti che il nostro lavandino non scaricava l'acqua. Anche se abbiamo comunicato la cosa via chat nessuno è intervenuto per risolvere. Abbiamo dovuto usare la doccia anche per lavarci i denti e la faccia.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026We had a great 2 nights stay at 85 Boutique hotel. The room was comfortable, spacious and quiet. The room is equipped with a kettle, hairdryer, air conditioning and hot shower. The building is decorated to a nice standard, with a common area on the ground floor that had a fridge and free water filter dispenser for hot and cold water The location was within 10-15 minutes walking distance into the ‘old town’ which was great. The staff member we had contact with was friendly and helpful, even sent us recommendations of restaurants and tourist attractions to visit.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026I like the location which located in popular attraction places. It was easy to walk to Gerbang Malam Ipoh. Room wise it was fantastic, expected to have a simple small room, but it was exceeded my expectations.
Room Facilities. Television provided cannot be used due to no Remote Control provided. Washroom has improper water slop constructed for drainage with water which doesn't flow out easily to the drain. At the end, even after many hours especially after shower, water stays there and need to manually sweep into the drain.

A su vez, tuvimos un buen recibimiento en la habitacion con tissues, cepillos descartables, agua mineral. Y en general estaba limpio y buen ubicación.
La ducha no fue la mejor pero estuvo bien.

Found cockroaches inside the room. It gives unpleasant stay in the room. The bed sheet can be changed to white instead of black to give more assurance of cleanliness of the bed and room environment. The entrance to the grond floor rooms appeared unmaintained and not clean. No wonder cockroaches roams inside the rooms at the ground floor.

The hotel is INFESTED with cockroaches. A huge one was running around in the bathroom and room. I alerted the staff and they said cleaner will check but nobody had been to the room. Next night i found the cockroaches living inside the sink, there were sevral and I trapped one under the bin. I alerted the staff who said to leave the key and they will check...but nobody came by and I had to keep living like that. I had the worst stay on my life, and it seems the owners are aware and do not care at all. Also there pere plastic bottles frpm previous guests under the bed so its clear they dont clean properly.

Abbiamo trovato caffè e bottigliette d'acqua, un gesto gentile. Il proprietario ci ha permesso di fare il check-in in anticipo senza alcun problema. Conviene però, visto che non c'è reception, comunicare in anticipo l'orario di arrivo per poter ricevere le indicazioni necessarie per accedere. Inoltre ci ha fornito tante informazioni su cosa vedere e dove mangiare. Una bella esperienza.

Stanza ovviamente non insonorizzata, e ogni macchina/moto si sentivano. Non ripeterei più l’esperienza in quell’hotel.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Easy seamless check in. King room with balcony is clean, comfy, good for value. Quality bedding. Toilet is better than expected from other reviews. The street traffic noise is acceptable. Faint and not too loud as this room faces the back road.
Only room to improve is the king room balcony. It looked better in photos, in reality it’s kind of abandoned and the lights didn’t work. Okay for short stay. I chose this room to enjoy the balcony but I couldn’t. Also no window. Better to book the Queen suite in my opinion, looks bigger with a window.
