The W14 Kensington

The rooms look very refurbished or new. The comfort was good. I had a very tiny room, but it was still good. The breakfast was decent. It's easy to access from West Kensington tube station. The staff were very friendly.

It was on the third floor of a residential building converted into an hotel. No lift. The stairs were narrow. Two things I really did not like: The walls were very thin. You could make out what others are saying at times, doors slamming shut were very audible. The second thing was the water pressure which was too low. They have a rain shower, but no way, that is just a trickle. I had to use the handheld shower but I had to keep it in my hand. There wasn't anywhere to fix it to the wall.

We had modern clean rooms with a nice view into a quiet road. The shower was very pleasant, the bed very comfortable with plenty of pillows to choose from. The staff was always available and very friendly as well as helpful. Breakfast was very affordable and had all the necessities.

Our room smelled damp. The toilet door was also really difficult to close. And only 1 towel was provided - it’s annoying to have to go and ask for a second when we specified 2 guests - they should provide a second at check in if not already in room.

Our room in the basement with a view of the bin store . When we arrived back to the room in the evening a strong unpleasant odour in our room. Broken toilet flush handle and shower drain very very slow to clear water in tray.

The staff were extremely kind, attentive, and professional. I requested a late check-out, and they promptly accommodated my request with great kindness. The room and bathroom were comfortable and very clean. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Very quiet hotel in quite a road. Rooms fine and the shower was fabulous, big rain head thingy & a hand doobery you could jet wash with.

Great location, close to bus and subway stations, with plenty of local pubs, markets, and fast-food options nearby. The hotel is located on a quiet street, which makes it a comfortable place to stay. The 24/7 reception staff were always available and willing to help. The room was small, but this was within my expectations. The bed was comfortable, and overall, I had a pleasant stay.

Yhe hotel was very clean, the location was excellent, and the price was reasonable for the area.

While there were several positive aspects to my stay, I unfortunately did not get any sleep because my room was located directly above the stairs, which resulted in a lot of noise. When I checked out early in the morning, I wasn't asked how my stay was, so I didn't have the opportunity to raise this at the desk. I understood that breakfast was not free, but because no information was provided about how or where to get it, I chose to take my business elsewhere.

Hi, we had a great stay with you! Hotel was fab, lovely & clean with good facilities & comfy beds. Reception desk was friendly & welcoming. Wasn’t expecting much for £79 in London but you massively exceeded our expectations! Would highly recommend and would definitely book again in the future. Thankyou!

If I was being REALLY picky I could highlight a couple of points but there was nothing that impacted our stay negatively at all.

We had a twin room which was perfect for time two days we were there. Very near tube and buses. Very near to shops. The staff were lovely and very helpful. Hotel was very quiet. No road noise. You could get ice from reception.

The hangers in the wardrobe you couldn’t take them out. Small thing but this annoyed me. No fridge which would have been very handy if we were there longer.

Could have been cleaner from stained towels & linen to dust, though the toilet seemed clean. I understand that in London all budget hotels offer small, old rooms compared to the price you pay.

Staff were excellent, very helpful Comfortable bed and an internal door in my room between the bathroom corridor and bedroom which meant I couldn’t hear anything from the corridor. The other guests were all polite and it’s clearly a safe place to stay for solo professional women as there were many staying there.

An option of a fluffy pillow, mine were a bit flat.

The location was great, there were nice food places and shops nearby and the tube station was really close too.

The room was falling apart; the bedside lamps, the shower holder, the toilet seat etc. There was no space to walk around in the room (which was for two people). The receptionist failed to inform us of their "no guests policy" and took it upon himself to cancel our second day booking - even though the guests came to grab some stuff from our room and then they left. They never mentioned or took a deposit when I checked in but they tried to take it out of my card the following morning after cancelling my reservation for the second day and not notifying me until after they attempted to take the deposit. They kept my payment for the second day that they had cancelled, tried to take out the £100 deposit on the second day because they had my card on the system and then they tried to take out a further £20 from my card. Luckily I moved my money out of that card, but because my card is still on file with them I had to cancel that card in case they try to take further payments out without informing me. They mentioned that there were no lifts (which is fine) but they also mentioned that there are employees handy to help us carry our luggage - there was no one around at all. Terrible terrible service and will not be staying there again.

Strong Smell of weed coming through the window. Broken toilet seat and the room wasn't quite ready when we arrived although should have been ready by 1pm and we arrived at 230.. Hard set glue which was on top of dressing table and down the side too. No towel rail in bathroom also bundle of used towels outside of my room for a while which looked very untidy. Also not enough towels in room on arrival requested for more and then had to ask again.

Room was great and lovely modern shower. Very near to underground and shops and eateries. Staff were excellent and couldn’t apologise enough that they had to put us on the third floor and there is no lift which to us was fine. The manager would take a payment for breakfast as it was our 30th wedding anniversary which was really great

Die ruhige Lage, die Sauberkeit des Zimmers, das sehr nette und hilfsbereite Personal. Wir hatten 4 tolle Tage dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Es fehlten Handtuchhalter und für drei Personen fehlt ein wenig mehr Schrankfläche. Grundsätzlich für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in Ordnung, wenn man länger bleibt, wäre es anders schöner.

The reception staff were very friendly and very quickly got me checked in with no issues at all, they also had the front door accessible 24/7 which was great since I didn't know how long I would be out for, and they even had drinks behind reception too, the room itself was decently spacious, the TV was a decent size and had the ability to mirror my phone, the shower was really spacious, the bed was clean, pillows soft and the covers weren't too warm and were also really nice. Would love to stay again.

I found the 10:30 check out time a little short for my tastes as I like to sleep in a little, I'm mostly used to places having an 11:00 check out time, I also would have appreciated if breakfast was mentioned when I checked in as I didn't realise it was served in the hotel and ended up missing out.

Well maintained and comfy hotel in a nice and quiet neighbourhood. The tube station is only 5 mins away and the locality has a lot of cafés and supermarkets. We had a pleasant stay.

It was a great location for getting to the Chat Noir venue. The staff were great, friendly and helpful.

A little pricey for the size of room and location.

The staff was very polite and checked everything went well when I checked out. The 24h reception is really handy as i had an early checked out. The bed was comfy and the room was clean overall. The room was well insulated and the hotel is on a pretty quiet tucked away road.

I only stayed a night and had a single bed so this was perfect for a one night stay. Otherwise the room may feel a bit small but i briefly saw they had a communal space where you could spend some.time.

Wir waren zu dritt zwei Nächte im Hotel und hatten 1 Doppelzimmer und ein Einzelzimmer Zimmer sind klein, aber gemütlich, modern und sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gute Anbindung an Bus und U-Bahn. Habe die U-Bahn zum London Tower genommen und sind zurück zum Hotel gelaufen. Dabei kommt man direkt an vielen Highlights vorbei. Für unseren 2 Tage-Stopp ideal. Parkplatz haben wir den öffentlichen Parkplatz eines größeren Hotels 5 Gehminuten entfernt genutzt. Für die 2 Tage ca 120£. An der Rezeption bekommt man entsprechende Tipps.

Good hotel, the room was clean and for a city like London it was sufficiently spacious. The staff were kind. The position is very good, close to the tube station (Piccadilly and District line).

Mancano servizi necessari: per esempio La mia stanza era sprovvista di un frigo per la conservazione di medicinali o altro . Mi sono dovuta arrangiare comprando quotidianamente del ghiaccio sintetico. Non fondamentale ma se scrivi TV via cavo uno si aspetta che il cavo non sia solo quello che collega l’apparecchio alla presa di corrente…la mia TV aveva a disposizione ben pochi canali visibili.

Al momento del check-in ci comunicano che le pulizie vengono fatte ogni 2 giorni. All'arrivo in camera, uno degli asciugamani aveva un'orrenda macchia marrone e c'erano due dita di polvere sui comodini. Il giorno in cui finalmente sarebbero state fatte le pulizie c'erano molti check-out, quindi (ci è stato spiegato) la nostra camera è stata saltata, salvo portare via gli asciugamani senza fornire quelli puliti, di ricambio. Quando finalmente le pulizie sono state fatte, le due dita di polvere sui comodini sono rimaste dov'erano. Lo scarico del wc era guasto, nel senso che l'acqua scorreva inarrestabile. Segnalato il problema, pur avendo ricevuto per due volte rassicurazioni sul fatto che sarebbe stato riparato o che ci sarebbe stata assegnata un'altra camera, nulla di tutto ciò è stato fatto. Dormire con quel rumore per noi non era rilassante, anzi. Le scale che portano ai piani sono molto ripide, non c'è l'ascensore. Un soggiorno da incubo.

Easy 5 min walk from West Kensington Tube, staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was more than expected, bed was very comfy and I had a great night's sleep, which is unusual for me being away from home. Wifi was good, and bathroom was spacious and had everything I needed. Will be statying again.
