Amber Hotel - Cebu

Breakfast ok. Location convenient to Chonghua. Cleanliness. Security is utmost. Newly sanitized scent of the bedsheets and towels. Provision of water.

1.) Occasional foul odor in the elevator, it siphoned the gases from the nearby cr in the lobby. 2.) Disorganised Onyx restaurant, I reserved a table for 4, only to find out when I went up that they have an exclusive party, nobody informed me. 3.) Doors to exit stairs were locked, they opened them though when I informed the front desk. 4.) Fungus odor on throwpillows.

I pretty much liked everything. Staff were great and always helpful as we kept extending day after day for a whole week. Breakfast was fist class every day

Staff at breakfast barely let you in the door demanding you order from me I before you sit down. Staff at reception try to talk to you as soon as the lift opens, 8 metres away. Apple Maps has hotel in wrong location and we had two taxis go around and around.

Older Front door man is fantastic. Tip him well, he is wealth of knowledge, and he is always looking for "his" guests to return. Bathroom was nice.

Explained to waiter(s) on a couple of days, please brown the Omellette it was not done. It came back the same way everyday no matter what I asked for. Website says "State of the Art" gym, there is NO gym. Website says "nice" pool, there is no pool. Stayed 4 nights, wanted 1 hour late checkout and was told 1000php. NO gym, NO pool and nobody listens in the restaurant. I went to Bayfront, breakfast is awesome, pool and gym, same money.

New facility, rooms were clean and comfortable. Fridge in the room, breakfast was enough with good choices. Pitcher for water is appreciated.

Bathroom amenities were short - no hand soap (had to use shower gel to wash hands), no hand or face towels, toilet lid unscrewed and fell off. The bath stall had only small panel to keep the water in, so the entire floor is wet when you shower. Shower pressure so bad you had to sqeeze towards the wall to get wet, not that you can do it as you will be hitting the shower fixtures already. Hot water in shower is inconsistent.

I liked how close it was to everything else: it was fairly walking distance to the hospital, drugstores, convenience stores, coffee shops, a laundromat, and even the provincial capitol. I also liked how comfortable the room is.

Housekeeping is slow. They forgot to put new towels. Follow up was very slow and sloppy when we complained.

Room was small and not a lot of space for storing luggages. Small space for bathroom, slow shower drainage, water is overflowing and spilling through the toilet seat. Location was very busy

It’s a clean hotel with a very accessible location. The internet connection is good. I also like that the rooms and floors are secured and not accessible to everyone, which adds an extra level of privacy and security.

The rooms are decent, but they are quite small. One issue I noticed is that the shower area does not have a proper door or enclosure to prevent water from splashing, so the entire bathroom floor gets wet after every shower. In addition, the glass partition between the bathroom and the room does not have blinds or a privacy cover. As a result, a person’s silhouette can be seen from the room while showering, which may make some guests feel uncomfortable and compromise privacy.

The location is good... Very near to what our purpose of stay in cebu which is the chong hua hospital. The breakfast is good also.. They serve well.. And the staff are very friendly...

I suggest that aircon is better to check.. Coz it didnt circulate all the area inside room.. They just focus in one side only... And the water hot is not working.. I feel cold during bathing

The staff, the bed, the toilet.. almost everything! The location.. Except!

On our second day the waiter gave us catsup instead of vinegar that we asked. Hahaha ( maybe he’s tired) But their staff doesn’t do much of an eye contact maybe afraid of another request. Also the foul smell in the elevator, it smells like drainage or septic tank? I can’t tell. But anyways we dont stay naman inside the elevator always. So, Okay lang. I still want to go back.

Thr room was clean, aesthetic and nice to see

I love the location. Its clean, comfy and staff are very pleasant. This will be our go to within city proper. We’re definitely coming back

We were led to park in a parking zone that has restrictions and got clamped the next morning which was inconvenient. It would have been better if we were advised of the restrictions on time so we could have looked for another parking spot.

The location was close to hospitals, stores and pharmacies. Staff was really nice and helpful.

The room was ok size but the bathroom was a little tight. Shower drainage was bad and initially the comforter smelled bad until we asked them to change it. Towels ddn't looked as clean and you can hear your neighbors and other people talking in the hallway. Breakfast options were extremely limited and kept repeating. Parking is also a little struggle esp when you have a lowered car.

Underground parking too tiny.

The bed was comfortable and the pillows were good. The air conditioning worked.

I wish the smell of sewerage was less of a feature in the Philippines. Even in the lifts and front door. I wish the soap dispenser worked in the shower. Breakfast was very Filipino so if you are from overseas maybe plan a real breakfast somewhere. Shower wasn’t hot. Toilet seat was broken. If you like hot dogs then you will Love breakfast.
