Joe & Mary's Comfy homestay room

Most impressed, I highly recommend this place to stay and would happily stay for more than a night for a holiday in Auckland. Central to everything and public transport! Instructions were clear with name on the door and parking outside. A clean bathroom, kitchen nook with complimentary breakfast and lovely warm room with comfy bed and nice linen. What made it special was the private conservatory with table and chairs and seated area. So very spacious!

There wasn’t anything you could complain about. It was perfect!

Great stay with everything you need.

We were there for one night because of the storm and it was super comfortable. The owners are so friendly and welcoming.

Ich war ja schon zum dritten Mal hier. Super Aufenthalt! Mary und Joe sind so herzlich und hilfsbereit! Ich durfte meine Sachen lange Zeit unterstellen, während ich Neuseeland erkundete. Dankeschön! 😊

Da fällt mir nichts ein.

At booking-stage, the photos and instructions were super helpful and coms with the hosts was very prompt. The room was lovely with plenty of space, beautiful decor, room comforts (towels, lamps, fan, large block-out curtains etc), and a lock-and-key on the door for privacy and safety. A separate toilet and large bathroom with supplies was close and convenient to my room. Entrance/kitchen/laundry was also great and had lovely inclusions for breakfast and easy clean-up. Super easy self check-in/out too. Fabulous stay indeed. Highly recommend.

Didn't bother me too much as I can reverse-drive and park but the driveway is a little lengthy, narrow and bends around. You can't drive down there and turn, so reverse is a given. Myself and the other person staying have med size cars so it was a abit of a squeeze but possible to fit if both drivers leave sufficient space. Definitely not suitable for large and long vehicles like work utes.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. The amenities were excellent and thoughtfully provided, and everything was spotlessly clean — truly impeccable. Highly recommended!

Good clean basic accommodation. Met owner morning I left. Very pleasant.

Reverse when you leave into the common ground. You do not need to reverse up the drive.

Clean and comfortable stay 👍🏽

Thank you for your hospitality The stay was very comfortable Regards Noel and Marion

La gentillesse des propriétaires, la proximité des transports, la propreté, la convivialité.

Joe and Mary are very friendly, my parents only know little English, but they still talk to them patiently. The room has microwave, fridge and many other facilities we may need. The small garden is very beautiful. The price is very reasonable. I'll recommend friends.

Share bathroom and toilet, but we know this before booking. The garden has many mosquitoes, but there isn't any in the room.

Comfy, very friendly hosts, and close to the venue so we were able to move around with ease. The hosts were very informative too!

good range of beverages

some bread would be nice

Very welcoming, everything we needed, amazingly cozy. And Joe and Mary are as nice as everyone else describes here :) thank you!

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

Very lovely hosts, great location, perfect for my needs.

Convenience, location, and comfort. The bed was very comfortable. Cute space. Very clean and tidy.

Possibility we may have a shared bathroom situation if the other room is booked or is the other only able to be booked as one booking?

An amazing place to stay.. Joe and Mary made me feel very welcome . Breakfast was a real bonus . Highly recommend staying there . I will definitely be booking to stay there again . 100% rating from a very happy guest!

Everything was great!

Very friendly and helpful owners, nice garden and quiet neighborhood.

I stayed at this lovely spot in Auckland and was genuinely impressed. It’s a cozy, comfortable getaway that feels like a home away from home. The space was well-sized for the price and everything was clean and thoughtfully set up. The owners were friendly and welcoming. If you're after a peaceful place with good vibes I recomend staying here.

Returning travellers says it all.

We loved our stay at Joe and Mary’s homestay. The place was really clean and had great facilities. Joe and Mary were really friendly and welcoming. We would highly recommend this accommodation!

Nothing.

The owners communicated quickly with clear instructions that made everything very easy. They were very accommodating. Very clean, very comfortable. Spacious. Quiet. A parking spot is on the property. Breakfast and drinks available to help yourself. Location was superb for my purposes. I’ll definitely recommend it, and return myself if I need to be in or near this area again.

Nothing to not like

Private and quiet, lots of space. Great wifi to finish some work tasks.

Mary & Joe are SO kind, helpful, and considerate. Couldn’t ask for better, more loving, and welcoming hosts. They even offer a little complimentary breakfast, washing machine, and it’s nice to sit outside in their garden. Very happy we met this lovely couple. Thank you so much, we will be back!

So affordable for what it was and so comfy. Loved the inside/outside area and very comfy bed.

I think we weren’t expecting to be sharing the space with somebody else however that didn’t affect us.

Super comfy bed, Joe was super responsive when I had questions and the place was exactly as described.
