The rooms are on several levels but there are no lifts. The room we had was fine however, the bathroom was rather basic and In Need of refurbishment. The room was not serviced during our 3 night stay and only one towel per person was provided. We arrived late and were sent an email with instructions for collecting the key,however, because I had no internet connection I could not retrieve this. So I used the intercom to contact the night manager who said the information is all in the email then disconnected my call without offering any further help. Not impressed.

Undercover parking was great. Wifi worked well. Woolworths a short walk away. Lovely shampoo n conditioner n body wash n handwash supplied.
No Plug for sink so we could wash dishes well.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Their service is excellent. The room is large and comfortable. There is room for my clients to park their cars and there are food places to eat at close by.
The only negative thing is that the view from my room looks onto a bottle shop and there is a lot of rubbish that is my view and clients. The tv could be a bit bigger in the main room and the lighting is not great for working.

We have stayed a lot this year and rooms not serviced with fresh towels at the minimum, we have to request if we need. I would expect daily service of the rooms if staying more than one night. Overall, price is great, location is perfect and staffing a superb every time.

Reviewed Aug 3, 2026Lovely and peaceful. Slept great, no noise and a comfy bed. Loved the location, so central to everything we needed, including a supermarket and some restaurants/eateries within walking distance. Nice walk to One Tree Hill too. Staff were very engaging and friendly too.
The stay was great. The only thing I would change is the shower curtain, it doesn't fit the space well so water not really contained to the shower meaning the entire bathroom gets wet.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026This is a super clean and comfortable and affordable accommodation when passing through Auckland and wanting to combine it with some shopping. Newmarket even has an Olympic size swimming pool which I love going to after a day in the car. I have stayed at Edit at least 3 times by now and I will be back. I also love that they have some off road parking spaces and there is a small cooking top in the room.

Despite the large bedroom, by comparison the bathroom felt cramped and the decor was tired. The view out the window looked into other people's houses and so privacy was compromised.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026I loved everything about my stay at The Edit The room was spacious, the bed was so big especially for one person lol. It also had a fridge to hold drinks and food and a microwave. The hotel staff were so kind and helped me when I needed it as I was loading all of my stuff into the car I'd left my hotel key in the room and couldn't get back in. But a staff member on-site that morning assigned a key card to my room so I could get back in. Overall it was amazing I will definitely be staying there again and highly recommend staying here.
