The location was great, walking distance to many famous food, air conditions are good, water pressure for shower was good

Poor sound proof, car parking is hard to find during the day, spaces available after 11pm, mattress was super hard

I was looking for a quiet room during our stay, but for that type of location which is in the heart of Georgetown, there has to be noise especially since the bedroom is facing the road. If i compare which is more important the location or the noise, i would say the location, as you can usually walk to so many interesting eateries and places to see. Would I stay there again, I guess I would :)

Comfortable set-up and central in Georgetown.

Toilet cleanliness, especially the floor surfaces and drain hole area could be cleaner.

Location, as it is close to Penang St. and surrounded by numerous F&B outlets. Clean and neat. You could opt for street parking or park at the back of the property.

The property is not sound-proofed, so noise from the street is disruptive, especially late at night.

Did not like outdoor bathroom.

Wenn man eine authentische Unterkunft sucht, ist man hier genau richtig. Top Komfort sollte man hier nicht erwarten, aber es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Nebenan befindet sich noch eine sehr empfehlenswerte Bäckerei.

It’s away from the main busy street and well located in Georgetown.

The host was very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. The location was convenient and perfect for relaxing after a day out. On top of that, the shower area at ground level was a pleasant surprise as it comes with good water pressure, plenty of hot water, and very clean. It definitely made getting ready each day easy and enjoyable.

Everything about the place

It’s a beautiful heritage shophouse turned into accommodation, and it fit our group of 3 adults comfortably. It is adequately furnished, the queen bed is really comfy and the dining area has a large enough table for work or dining-in. I would recommend this place for a short stay as the location is within walking distance to most attractions and eating places.

The house could do with a bit of spring cleaning, and tidying up. The walls are a bit thin, as we realised that we could hear the next door neighbours talking and vice versa. Although the property is situated on a small road & the traffic is light, the motorbike noise is like your morning alarm clock.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is convenient and has a lovely heritage style, with well-maintained terracotta tiles that add so much charm—just a short walk to several cafés, nasi padang stalls, Chowrasta Market, and the Hard Rock Café merchandise store. Parking is easy too; you can park right in front of the door. Breakfast was just a few steps away, which made our mornings easy. The open-air kitchen was also a nice touch and created a relaxing atmosphere. We visited the mansion museum right across the street, and it was definitely worth it—you get access to two museums with one ticket, including the Peranakan Museum, which is especially great for anyone who loves history.

Location is good. Furnishing is new. Instagramable. Place is big. Few beds.

No lift to the second floor.

House is beautifully Peranakan styled and comfortable. Central location, near to all the sights. Walking distance to eateries at SriBahari. There’s a big open shower (good for pet owners). Upstairs is the open floor where all the beds is to sleep 5 persons. There’s coffee,tea and salt/pepper, pasta in the cupboard. We can also buy Peranakan ladies costume, it’s for sale in the living room, just scan the QR code. I bought one to take photos around Penang.

Nothing at all! This place is perfect for families who want to be in an open space together, esp w young children. Both upstairs toilet and shower comes with shower body wash and shampoo. Dishwashing sponge was tiny. Towels are prepared on the bed so I don’t bring. I found bedroom slippers in the shoe cabinet, I think it’s just self service.

Location is good.

Some of the lights and facilities are not working and room are too dim at night. Kitchen light is not functioning. Water heater in the attached bathroom is not working too.

Fantastic, private house, everything provided, excellent location, many great restaurants and coffee shops around. Our family of three truly enjoyed staying here.

Everything was perfect, the owner was very supportive, responsive and helpful. Location is great, walking distance to the old Town and Jettys, apartament itself is a gem made of the old house. We loved wooden shutters, high ceiling, spacious Rooms and outdoor shower :) All necessities are present, there is an awesome handout brochure on the table to guide you to best food place nearby.

Great location within walking distance to markets and numerous restaurants, yet relatively calm and quiet. Delicious breakfast just across the street and a few small cafes just a few steps away. Good space for our family of five in a clean, charming renovated shophouse.

Would be good to provide a small curtain to the window overlooking the outdoor shower as there is no privacy. Mattresses also a bit too hard.

Spacious, quiet and very clean. The whole house is equipped with all facilities cooking and cleaning is you want.

You will get 100% Penang old time vintage feel here and the owner made it a very cosy one. Good location with few Michelin eatery nearby. I was told i was the first guest to stay here no wonder most of the things are new. Thank you for hosting me
