La habitación era oscura y con ventana alta y sin luz. El desayuno modesto. La zona de la cocina muy mejorable en limpieza.

Our stay here was very pleasant, I can’t say enough about the staff, so friendly and welcoming! The room and bathroom were super clean and comfortable, the aircon was great. I would not hesitate to recommend this place!!! Great location, right in the old town, easy walking for good food and sites to visit. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely staff and comfortable bed.

For bedrooms on street level, the noise from outside and surrounding rooms is quite disturbing. The windows and doors are sealed shut, so it is quite dark.

The staff (apart from the gentleman at the front desk) were not accommodating and unprofessional for various reasons. It was next to a karaoke bar. Kept us awake all night. The other room had a masjid and kept the other guest awake as well as it very close.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour ici. Les hôtes sont tous d'une extrême gentillesse. La maison est vraiment incroyable et originale. Un petit déjeuner simple mais efficace et ils laissent à disposition la possibilité de se faire un café/thé à disposition. Super bien placé dans Georgetown également.

Welcoming staff and relaxed vibe made us feel at home instantly. This was confirmed by access to tea, coffee and toast in the common room. All of old George Town is within walking distance.

This is a traditional and old Penang house so guests should not expect international luxury or even up to the minute bathrooms. There is a mosque right next door so the day is punctuated by regular very loud calls to prayer but you can still sleep well.

La stanza è priva di finestre (piano terra) e presenta una totale assenza di isolamento acustico. Si sentono costantemente rumori provenienti dal piano superiore e dall’esterno, inclusa musica dal vivo fino a tarda notte. Per riuscire a dormire sono indispensabili i tappi per le orecchie.

La camera non era pulitissima: aperto l’armadio, abbiamo trovato un asciugamano di un precedente ospite e un porta cenere con diverse sigarette consumate. Il bagno si allaga completamente quando fai la doccia.

Guest house in stile antico della città, molto legno e spazi veramente carini. Si respira l'aria di George Town. Essendo centralissima non si può pretendere il silenzio assoluto. Consigliato.

La chambre du rez est très mal insonorisée

Excelente atención y aunque no incluía desayuno, todas las mañanas había tostadas, fruta, bizcocho, café, té,....

Está justo al lado de una mezquita y a las 6 de la mañana llaman todos los días al rezo, como las ventanas son antiguas, era como si estuviera dentro de la habitación.

The location is amazing, going everywhere is very easy. Very elegant and pretty stay. Very clean as well.

My windows have no glasses, so if people were talking outside or the music from the bar, I could hear it very clearly. Better bring an earplugs. Also the smell from downstairs would also come in to the room.

Tolle Unterkunft in super Lage. Das Personal ist absolut freundlich und zuvorkommend, man bekommt viele Tipps.. Es gibt rund um die Uhr Kaffee, Tee und Obst.

De ligging en de authenciteit van het gebouw. Goede airco in de kamer.

Erg oud en achterstallig onderhoud. Geen raam in onze kamer. Bedden niet heel comfortabel. Het ontbijt was er niet echt, maar genoeg mogelijkheden in de straat.

Comfortable heritage hotel with fabulous staff. It is situated just of Lebuh Chulia which is geared up to night life.

Le personnel charmant, très souriant et disponible. Un petit déjeuner (toasts, quelques fruits) est servi gratuitement. La décoration de l'hôtel est plutôt jolie et authentique. La literie est confortable. L'hôtel est très bien situé.

Le sol de la chambre était en mauvais état et des morceaux de peinture se collaient perpétuellement à nos pieds. La salle de bains est sommaire, elle est propre mais elle mériterait d'être refaite, il y a de la moisissure. La chambre est peu insonorisée.

Das Personal war sooo freundlich, extrem hilfsbereit und die Lage war super. Für sehr empfindliche Ohren könnte es etwas laut sein, aber mich/uns hat es nicht gestört. Wir können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

I liked this old heritage house which had lots of character. It reminded me of my childhood. The Malays in my hometown had such houses. It was rather nostalgic staying here. The location was fantastic. Right smack in town and walking distance to all the places we wanted to visit and eat at. My room was spacious and I really liked the old furniture in the room and around the house. I liked that they had free flow of coffee and tea, biscuits and some banana bread. The receptionist, Tiara was sweet and friendly and ever ready to provide assistance. Will definitely be back again.

Loved the location, the feel and the look of CHH. I had a single room with a private bathroom and it was just right for me. Great location for everything. If you like history, it's a cute place to stay!

Bathing space was small

Pretty much everything. Very nice old house with many interesting features. Nice hot shower in the wet room. Very cool air conditioning and a fan. No noise from other guests ,though a little from the street. Good central location for cafés, restaurants, shops etc. Some nice reading corners.

A small fridge in the room would have been nice, also it was perfect for me, but there wasn't a TV in the room so might be worth checking before you book. Not the strongest WiFi signal but it did work in all areas.

The building is lovely, renovated but not too fancy. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, right in the middle of the historic district.

The place had serious problems with comfort. Our first room had a toilet that leaked whenever you flushed it. They moved us, but the new room had no hot water in the shower. Also the bed was quite hard. The staff/owners did not really seem to know how to fix the problem. Also, the rooms were on the ground floor, right next to the street. So the noise was definitely a problem, since this is a nightlife area with lots of tourists and bars. We had booked for four nights but left after the first to go to another hotel. A hot shower is something we cannot live without.

Esta muy bien ubicado (entre Chinatown y Little India y sus night markets)y cuentas con una zona común de desayuno donde puedes tomar café o té a cualquier hora y coger agua. Hay pan, mantequilla y mérmelas y después de las 7h ponen fruta pero no sirven desayunos. Soy celiaca y me pusieron unos huevos duros como excepción a cambio de 15RMY, que luego no me cobraron. El personal es muy amable. Nos facilitaron lavar la ropa.

Se oye la llamada a la mezquita como si lo tuvieras dentro de la habitación. La habitación individual es muy pequeña y no tiene armario. No sirven desayuno.

The stay premise and location are fabulous. The stays are comfort and relax with a big room and enjoy the historical building theme and walk to the bus station is a short distance. I enjoy walking around to find out the food, drinks, souvenirs and culture experience. I have a good experience with taking local people delight's food and stuffs. The premise staff are warm welcome greetings and friendly.

Very beautiful building and charming. The staff were really friendly. It was in a great location in the city. The stay came with complimentary self service toast with things like jam and butter.

The room looked a bit tired. The walls were very thin. Could hear someone snoring next door and talking on the phone. There was a bar on the same street that played extremely loud live music until 4am on Friday and Saturday and until 2am on Sunday and Monday night (we stayed Friday to Tuesday). We could also hear everything in the street outside. The WiFi was very poor and often couldn’t connect at all.

前台员工人都很好，从吉隆坡去槟城的大巴到的太早，凌晨5点多，前台大叔让我进去，给我安排了房间，都很友善。后来发现房间钥匙弄错了，另一个阿姨也帮忙送了正确的钥匙。但门好像不怎么好锁，但大门需要密码才能进入，整体安全性还可以 房间比较古朴，都是老建筑老家具，木质结构，走起路来有点响声。房间不算大，但挺温馨。

附近会有定期的宣讲，早晨5点多，晚上9点多，中午偶尔也会有，挺影响的，但这个似乎没办法解决？

The concept of the hotel and the cleanliness.

The hotel concierge was not present at the time of arrival, late evening. A phone number was pasted infront of the door and I had tried calling it but no one picked up the phone. Waited for about 10 mins before I was greeted by 2 male staffs. They were friendly. Upon checking out, the hotel concierge was not able to provide me with the final bill and told me to just keep a piece of paper which was used as proof as cash deposit for the hotel key.

Cintra Heritage Hotel was one of the most pleasant surprises during my trip to Penang. From the outside, the building looks quite simple and understated. I honestly didn't expect much at first. However, the moment I stepped past the reception area and walked towards my room, everything changed. It felt like entering a beautifully preserved heritage home with a touch of luxury. The antique furniture, charming décor, and peaceful atmosphere created a unique experience that instantly made me feel at ease. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They took the time to recommend local attractions, hidden gems, and food spots that were genuinely worth visiting. Their recommendations made exploring Penang so much easier and more enjoyable. After a long day of sightseeing, returning here felt comforting and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. 5 June 2026 (Check in) 7 June 2026 (Check out) Superior Suite.

A small note for future guests: if you're staying in a ground-floor room, you may occasionally hear footsteps from the room above. Personally, I didn't find it disturbing at all. Since the hotel is a beautifully preserved heritage property, I simply saw it as part of the authentic experience—much like staying in a traditional wooden house where hearing footsteps is perfectly normal. Another thing worth mentioning is that the hotel is located near a few nightlife spots, so you may hear some music in the evening. Personally, I didn't mind it at all—in fact, some of the songs were quite enjoyable! The good thing is that the area became much quieter later at night, and by around 1:00 AM, it was peaceful enough for a comfortable night's sleep. These are not complaints, just things worth knowing beforehand. In my opinion, they are small trade-offs for the charm, comfort, and unique heritage experience that these hotel offers.

Great location. Very historic and interesting building. I had a large room which was very spacious; my friends had smaller rooms but they liked them. Nice staff.

There is a nice bar and restaurant below on the street with live music every night we were there. It can be quite loud but was okay once I wore my earplugs and took a sleeping pill.

This place felt more like home than a hotel. The location was great and the lady at the reception extremely nice. I especially liked the dining area where guests gather as it offers an opportunity to meet new people. I would definitely stay there again!

The staff was super nice and helpful. The breakfast& tea, coffee& water was in the family room included. For breakfast there was fresh fruit, scrambled egg or omlette, sausages, fries, chicken nuggets, a bit of salad and buttered toast( with jam or peanutbutter). The room was clean and had good air conditioning. The hotel is in a beautiful old heritage house. Location was handy - Koo Kongsi, Blue Manison and more were in walking distance.

The family room was divided in two and one of the room had big windows on top- so it was never quite dark. Next door is also a rock bar. If you like rock music perfect- because on fridays& Saturdays there are live concerts. If you are a lightsleeper not so good. Also remember that it is an old house-so the floor is squeky and the walls are thin.

Beautiful Hotel with the kindest staff. Our AC broke a couple of days in and it was fixed within hours. Access to hot and cold water and snacks in the breakfast area. Our room was accessed by walking through a pretty courtyard. The vintage furniture just added a lot of charm.

La puntuación de 8,6 no lo vale. Está viejo, el inodoro huele a orina, no nos limpiaron la habitación y te dan una toalla para todo. Además gel de baño grande para todo. Tendrás que llevarte todo lo que necesites para la ducha.Internet, PESIMA!!!!. Es tan baja la señal que no te puedes comunicar. La recepcionista muy amable pero con eso no hacemos nada.🇪🇸

设施相对陈旧，旁边就是酒吧，晚上特别吵，但过了12点酒吧演出结束就相对好些

Cannot say enough good things about our stay. The building is so beautiful and charming and very well maintained. Our room was spacious and clean. The woman at the front desk was SO nice and attentive, but we still felt like we had our “own” cozy space in the heart of Georgetown. There was free coffee, ice cold water, and snacks in the cafe next door, including local cuisine and fruit, which we could stop in and grab any time. The cold water and fruit was especially appreciated given the hot weather when we stayed. Our room was also very cool and felt like an oasis from the intense heat. The location was perfect - walking distance to plenty of stuff. Such an amazing place and a great price. Our friends were staying at a (more expensive) spot down the street and I really felt like we had the better stay. Can’t recommend Cintra House enough!

VERY loud karaoke bar 2 houses down, the singers might as well have been standing in our room. Went on past 2AM, safe to say we barely slept. Doesn’t happen every night but still. Also small bathroom with basic shower.

I had a great stay here! The staff were very kind and the location of the accommodation is excellent. I really enjoyed staying here, it offers great value for money.

The room could use a bit of renovation, but it wasn’t too bad. However, there was no glass in the window frame, which made the room quite noisy.

The location was great, close to all the “action” in George Town and the heritage feel of this old hotel was first class.

The hotel is next door to a very noisy bar which was pumping out loud music until 1am. This happened on Friday night but was not an issue on Saturday or Sunday night.
